📖 21 June 2026 · Sunday Gospel Matthew 10:26–33 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time "Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge." Three times in this Gospel, Jesus says the same thing: Fear no one. Not because nothing bad can happen — but because you are already fully known. Even the hairs on your head are counted. If God notices the cheapest sparrow in the marketplace — how much more does He notice you? ✝️ What you have heard in the quiet of prayer He calls you to speak in the light. 🙏 Lord, take away my fear. Daily Devotion; Matthew 10:23 “Everyone will hate you because of me. But whoever holds out to the end will be saved.” Being a Christian in todays world is not easy. People tend to ridicule religion.If you act differently than those around you, you will be called names. “Jesus freak”, “Holy so-and-so”, “Bible thumper”, yes, you will be teased relentlessly. I’ve always wondered why people do that? I think it’s fear. They see your joy in Jesus, see your steadfast faith and your kindness and they don’t understand it. Most of them probably want to hear more about your relationship with God, but they get swept along by the crowd who enjoys making fun. This is why you should never give up. Always remain firm in your discipleship. Be a messenger of God without fear of those who ridicule. Continue to teach the Word and live a life that mirrors your commitment to God. You need to be the example for those who stand against you, for those, few it may be, among the scorners, who have been chosen to accept the Word. Being a Christian means you don’t hide behind a worldly mask to fit in, no! It means you wear your Christian faith openly, without shame or fear and answer the hurtful words with a smile and a kind word. Because He overcame the grave, those who trust Him receive eternal life and strength to endure every trial. ✝️ Hard seasons do not mean abandonment. Pressure often reveals genuine faith and produces steadfastness in those who cling to Christ. 📝 The Promise to Overcomers ✏️ Heaven rewards endurance. 📖 Matthew 10:22 (NIV) You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved 📖 Revelation 2:10 (BSB) “Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will suffer tribulation for ten days. Be faithful even unto death, and I will give you the crown of life." ➡️ Temporary suffering cannot cancel eternal reward. 📝 Trials don't catch us unaware or off guard ✏️ We are wise to the enemy's plans 📖 1 Peter 4:12-14 12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory. 14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 📖 2 Corinthians 2:11 in order that Satan should not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. ➡️ God warns you, prepares you, protects you, sustains you and His glory is revealed in you 📝 Tested Faith ✏️ Trials can refine what is real. 📖 James 1:2-4; 12 “2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything... 12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.” ➡️ Endurance carries blessing. 🎺 Beloved: Reject compromise, bitterness, and quitting. Refuse to interpret hardship as defeat. The Lord sees every unseen act of loyalty. Stand firm today. Hold your confession. Keep loving Jesus. Keep walking forward. 🙏 Father: In the name of Jesus, thank You for sustaining grace. I reject fear, weariness, and compromise. I receive strength, perseverance, and joy in trials. Holy Spirit, keep me faithful in every season and steadfast in love for Christ.
