• One thing I have discovered in this world is that if you truly want meaningful friendships, choose people who can relate to everyone, regardless of their background, social status, or financial condition. A person who respects only the rich but ignores the poor has not yet understood the value of humanity.

    True greatness is not measured by how many influential people know you, but by how you treat every person with dignity and respect. Character is revealed in the way we value people when there is nothing to gain from them.

    Likewise, we should be careful about who we call our spiritual fathers or mothers. Honor should not be based only on titles but also on genuine love, care, and acknowledgment. A true father or mother rejoices in the growth, success, and well-being of those they call their children. They do not ignore them in private and only recognize them when it is convenient.

    If someone claims you as a son or daughter but cannot acknowledge, encourage, celebrate, or stand with you, then that relationship deserves honest reflection. Spiritual parenthood is more than a title—it is a responsibility of love, guidance, support, and sincere concern.

    Let us build relationships that are rooted in authenticity, humility, and mutual respect. Celebrate people while they are growing, encourage them while they are struggling, and honor them without discrimination. That is the mark of genuine friendship, true leadership, and real spiritual parenthood.

  • •A Prayer for When You Hear God Say ‘Be Still’•

    “And the Lord answered me: ‘Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end — it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.’”
    (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

    It is culturally acceptable, even encouraged to go, go, go! We live in a hustle-centric culture, one to which I, like many of us, have fallen prey. I feel, at times, like I can’t allow myself to rest. It takes so much mental energy to just convince myself I am not a failure or lazy for taking time to relax. I find myself believing the lies of the world that if I am not producing, I am worthless.

    However, there are pathways in my career and other passion projects I am striving towards. As I pursue these outlets, doors keep opening and closing. In these moments, I find myself at a complete loss. I become frustrated because I do not know what God is doing. I felt like this calling, this path was from him. So, why am I still in the same place as I started?

    As I approach the Lord in prayer, my answer becomes clear. I can either ignore what he is trying to tell me and push back even harder, just to spiral and end up back in the same place, yet more weary and broken. Or I can fall to my knees, rest in the comfort of my Lord’s presence, and submit to his answer to “be still.” I do not see this as God saying, “No.” I trust in his promises and guidance. I know his timing will be far better than my own.

    For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
    (Jeremiah 29:11)

    He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
    (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

    I know this will continue to happen throughout my entire life. But I also know as I get closer to my Savior and continually lean on him through prayer and Scripture reading, I find that God’s answers are not all black and white, yes or no. Every time I’m with him, he instills in me the importance of trusting him and his will. Although he allows me to tell him about my plans and cry out in frustration when they do not work out on my desired timeline, he will gently lead me back to a place of peace and contentment if I am willing to follow.

    Let’s Pray.

    Dear Lord,
    Sometimes I do not understand what You are doing in my life. I often feel stuck, frustrated, and hopeless. I cry out in the same way David did — “I’ve been patient, obedient, and worthy of the pursuits that I know will glorify you.” I pray You will calm my heart and surround me with Your overwhelming peace. I pray I will turn to You sooner when doors close and when You tell me to be still. I pray for Your guidance and wisdom in all that I do. Thank You for Your love, friendship, and parenthood in our lives. Thank You for seeing into those doors, into those opportunities the things we could never see, and protecting us from something only You know would bring us harm.

    I pray we will come into Your presence and know Your desires for us, which will ultimately transform the direction of our lives to glorify You and Your kingdom. Be with the broken hearts of those whose lives didn’t turn out the way they thought they would. I pray our ambitions will not cripple us, so we won’t believe the lies of the world that make us hustle and eventually burn out. I pray we find rest and peace in You. We love and trust You with all our hearts, our Father, and Prince of Peace.

    You are not just a survivor of hard seasons, you are a witness. Reject the lie that your past disqualifies your children, reject the fear that culture will steal them, reject the silence that says God was good once. Walk in the truth that His mercy is new this morning and His goodness is running after your bloodline. Let's live it out today, sing it in your language, pray it over their pillows, declare it at your table.
    Your life will preach louder than your sermons. Let them hear you sing "all my life You have been faithful" until it becomes their first language of faith.

    Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for Your great love that has kept my family, and for Your faithfulness that never fails.
    I reject the lie that my story ends with me. I reject generational cycles of fear and forgetfulness. I receive Your commission to commend Your works to the next generation.

  • Good morning, brethren.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY. FRIDAY APRIL 17, 2026.
    "INSTRUMENT RATED (9)"

    ‘…Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.’  Ephesians 6:4 NIV

    INSTRUMENT RATED for parenthood. Parents today face unique problems that no other generation has. But God’s Word is timeless, so: 1) Enforce discipline. ‘Whom the Lord loves He corrects…’ (Proverbs 3:12 NKJV). A famous evangelist says when he was growing up his mother had a belt that hung on the wall of their home with a text written above it: ‘I need thee every hour’. Teach your child that every decision has consequences. And don’t rescue them from their consequences, for life won’t let them off the hook when they do wrong. 2) Teach them God’s ways. ‘Train up a child in the way that he should go: and…he will not depart from it’ (Proverbs 22:6 NKJV). Give your child a taste of the things of God when they are young, and when they’re older the world won’t be able to satisfy their taste. 3) Commit them to the Lord. This isn’t easy; it’s like allowing them to take the family car out for the first time. But there comes a point where God, not you, must speak to them and guide them. They’ll either learn the easy way or the hard way. And even if they do go astray, God promises that they’ll come back again (Jeremiah 31:16-17). So pray, ‘Lord, they’re Yours now. I’ve taught them and set an example, now I give them to You. Deal with them according to Your perfect will’. Does that mean everything will be okay from that point on? Maybe, and maybe not. But like a pilot who flies according to his instruments, you must stand on the Word of God for your children.

    ii. FREE ACCESS TO GOD'S THRONE

    "In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence." - Ephesians 3:12

    One of the greatest privileges a Christian has, is free access to God the Father. This means that we, who have a relationship with God through Jesus, have access to God 24 hours a day, yes, every minute.

    Lucifer tried to overthrow God to get the throne himself, but the Almighty God has defeated Lucifer. Hebrews 10:12 says that Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of God the Father. Through Jesus we have access to God's mercy seat.

    A gap between God and man

    Previously, in the Old Testament, there were only a few people who had limited access to God. Abraham was such a man and was called God's friend. Moses was a man who was in contact with God. God has always wanted to live among people, but this was impossible because of sin. Sin separates man from God. There came a gap between God and man since Adam and Eve, who first lived in perfect harmony with God, became disobedient.

    Free access for everyone

    Since God wanted to be among His people, Moses was instructed to build a tabernacle (tent). God would then reside in the Holy of Holies. There was only one person who could enter the Holy of Holies once a year. There was an important condition attached to this. He had to take blood (from an animal) with him when he entered. Entering without that blood would mean immediate death for the high priest.

    When Jesus' blood flowed on the cross, the curtain, which was blocking the access to the Holy of Holies, tore open. Access became free for everyone to approach God each second of the day.

    Paul says in Romans 5:1-2: 'Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.'

    O God, our Father, we thank You for this bright morning. We want to share in the joy that’s all around us. All of Your creation praises You, and we want to join in that praise—not just with our lips, but with our hearts and lives. We want our lives to be like songs that bring joy to those around us. Help us live victoriously today, not letting our cares and trials get the best of us, but keeping Your praise in our hearts even in the darkest times and toughest challenges. Breathe Your Spirit into our souls this morning so that we can go out and live with cheerfulness all day. Don’t let the hard things discourage us or take the joy out of our hearts and the brightness out of our faces.

    We thank You that You’ve promised to give us what we need. We know that while You are always with us, You come even closer to us when we’re in trouble; that while You always give us strength, You give us even more when we’re feeling weak. Come to us today in exactly the way we need.

    Sometimes we get discouraged and frustrated. Keep us today from falling into these negative moods. Help us live among our neighbors in such a way that they see that we have God helping us. Keep us from worry and anxiety. Teach us to cast all our cares on Jesus, who cares for us. May we trust You so completely that no matter what happens, we can be happy and strong in You.

    We pray for everyone in our home. Prepare us for all the duties, tasks, and responsibilities of the day. Keep us safe from accidents and bring us back together again in the evening. We ask all these things, along with the forgiveness of our sins, in the Savior’s precious name. Amen.

    Jesus had assured the disciples of the presence of the Holy Spirit whenever they faced opposition from the authorities (Mt. 12:11-12). The priests, temple guard, and the Sadducees brought Peter and John to the Jewish council after healing a lame man. Though unable to deny the miracle, the leaders attempted to silence them to prevent the spread of the Gospel of Christ. However, Peter and John responded, "We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard" (v. 20). Following Christ demands total allegiance to God above all earthly authorities. Today, Christians are facing similar threats from ungodly authorities and hostile communities. Our obedience to God must supercede human opposition. God called believers to prioritise His command over fear, pressure, or persecution and declare God's truth regardless of the cost.

    Our Father, before we lay down to sleep, we thank You for protecting and providing for us, and for all the blessings of this day. We committed ourselves to Your care this morning, and You haven’t forgotten us for even a moment. We thank You for the happiness we’ve shared at home today. Father, bless our family life and make it more tender and supportive. May our home become a holier place to live and grow. May all its influences be pure, uplifting, and enriching. Fill it with Your Holy Spirit, and then it will be like Heaven.

    O Son of God, who lived in an earthly home in Nazareth for many years and often visited the home in Bethany, come and dwell in our home, and bless it with Your tender grace. May we sit at Your feet like Mary did, listening to Your word and learning from You. Then, in times of sorrow, You will come to comfort us. We also want to pour out our love to You like the woman who anointed Your feet with perfume. Come, dear Master, and be our constant guest. Stay with us all the time. Help us to make our home a place where You’ll want to dwell—a home of truth, pure feelings, gentle words, and thoughtful affection.

    Now, as this day ends and we prepare for rest, we entrust our whole home to Your care. Forgive us all our sins. Accept the work we bring to You—only small pieces of what we intended to do, and stained by sin. Take it as it is and let Your blessing rest on it.     Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. i. 😀🌺🌹🎁🎀💝 MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY. FRIDAY APRIL 17, 2026. "INSTRUMENT RATED (9)" ‘…Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.’  Ephesians 6:4 NIV INSTRUMENT RATED for parenthood. Parents today face unique problems that no other generation has. But God’s Word is timeless, so: 1) Enforce discipline. ‘Whom the Lord loves He corrects…’ (Proverbs 3:12 NKJV). A famous evangelist says when he was growing up his mother had a belt that hung on the wall of their home with a text written above it: ‘I need thee every hour’. Teach your child that every decision has consequences. And don’t rescue them from their consequences, for life won’t let them off the hook when they do wrong. 2) Teach them God’s ways. ‘Train up a child in the way that he should go: and…he will not depart from it’ (Proverbs 22:6 NKJV). Give your child a taste of the things of God when they are young, and when they’re older the world won’t be able to satisfy their taste. 3) Commit them to the Lord. This isn’t easy; it’s like allowing them to take the family car out for the first time. But there comes a point where God, not you, must speak to them and guide them. They’ll either learn the easy way or the hard way. And even if they do go astray, God promises that they’ll come back again (Jeremiah 31:16-17). So pray, ‘Lord, they’re Yours now. I’ve taught them and set an example, now I give them to You. Deal with them according to Your perfect will’. Does that mean everything will be okay from that point on? Maybe, and maybe not. FREE ACCESS TO GOD'S THRONE "In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence." - Ephesians 3:12 One of the greatest privileges a Christian has, is free access to God the Father. This means that we, who have a relationship with God through Jesus, have access to God 24 hours a day, yes, every minute. Lucifer tried to overthrow God to get the throne himself, but the Almighty God has defeated Lucifer. Hebrews 10:12 says that Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of God the Father. Through Jesus we have access to God's mercy seat. A gap between God and man Previously, in the Old Testament, there were only a few people who had limited access to God. Abraham was such a man and was called God's friend. Moses was a man who was in contact with God. God has always wanted to live among people, but this was impossible because of sin. Sin separates man from God. There came a gap between God and man since Adam and Eve, who first lived in perfect harmony with God, became disobedient. Free access for everyone Since God wanted to be among His people, Moses was instructed to build a tabernacle (tent). God would then reside in the Holy of Holies. There was only one person who could enter the Holy of Holies once a year. There was an important condition attached to this. He had to take blood (from an animal) with him when he entered. Entering without that blood would mean immediate death for the high priest. When Jesus' blood flowed on the cross, the curtain, which was blocking the access to the Holy of Holies, tore open. Access became free for everyone to approach God each second of the day. Paul says in Romans 5:1-2: 'Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.' https://www.theblessingdevotional.com 2.   • THE PASTOR AND THE CHANGING WORLD
    The world a pastor serves today is vastly different from the world of ministry twenty or thirty years ago. The pace of life has accelerated, the challenges people face have multiplied, and new ideologies are shaping how society thinks, behaves, and relates. To shepherd effectively, a pastor must understand not only the Scriptures but also the season, culture, and environment in which ministry happens.
    Just as the sons of Issachar understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do (1 Chronicles 12:32), so must today’s pastor discern the dynamics of a rapidly evolving world. Awareness is the doorway to relevance.
    1. A World Rapidly Redefining Values
    Many of the values once upheld by society—respect, morality, family structure, community life, and faith—are being redefined.
    • Marriage is under attack.
    • Identity is confused.
    • Immorality is celebrated.
    • Truth has become subjective.
    This value shift has created a generation searching for meaning, purpose, and stability. The pastor must stand as a voice of clarity, offering God’s unchanging truth in a world of shifting morals.
    2. The Explosion of Information
    We live in an information-driven culture. With a single click, people access countless sermons, teachings, philosophies, and opinions.
    This means:
    • Believers compare their pastor with online voices.
    • Members are influenced by teachers they have never met.
    • False doctrines spread faster than ever before.
    • People come to church with preconceived ideas formed by social media.
    To remain relevant, a pastor must be informed, current, and doctrinally grounded—able to guide people through the noise.
    3. A Digitally Distracted Generation
    Attention spans have dramatically shortened. People scroll more than they read, watch more than they meditate, and absorb more information than they can internalize.
    This affects ministry in several ways:
    • Sermons must be clearer, structured, and engaging.
    • Communication must be strategic.
    • Ministry must extend beyond the pulpit to digital platforms.
    The pastor must learn the language of the generation he is called to reach.
    4. Changing Family Dynamics
    Families today face unique pressures:
    • Single parenthood
    • Financial instability
    • Domestic abuse
    • Emotional wounds
    • Busyness and disconnection
    • Expectations shaped by media
    Pastors must be sensitive to the diverse and evolving needs of modern households, offering scriptural guidance that brings healing, stability, and direction.
    5. Rising Emotional and Mental Pressures
    This is one of the most emotionally fragile generations in history:
    • Anxiety is increasing.
    • Depression is widespread.
    • Young people battle identity struggles.
    • Many adults face silent frustration and discouragement.
    • Emotional burnout is common.
    A relevant pastor must be equipped with emotional intelligence, empathy, and biblical counseling skills to speak to the deep inner battles of the people he serves.
    6. Increasing Exposure to Global Ideas
    The world is interconnected. What happens in America, Europe, Asia, or the Middle East influences people everywhere. The church is no longer isolated from global events—political changes, pandemics, economic shifts, and social movements affect believers mentally and spiritually.
    Pastors must be globally aware but spiritually anchored—able to interpret world events through the lens of Scripture.
    7. The Need for Adaptive Ministry
    The message of the gospel never changes, but ministry methods must evolve. Pastors who refuse to adapt eventually become disconnected from the people they lead.
    Adapting includes:
    • Embracing technology
    • Adjusting teaching methods
    • Understanding generational differences
    • Offering diverse ministry approaches
    • Building systems that support growth
    Relevance is not compromise—it is wise stewardship.
