• Be the Salt of the Earth (Matthew 5:13)

Have you ever noticed how a small amount of salt can make a big difference?

    Salt preserves.

    Salt adds flavor.

Salt brings out the best in what it touches.

Jesus used this simple illustration to describe His followers.

“You are the salt of the earth.”

As Christians, we are called to make a positive difference wherever God has placed us.

    At home.

    At school.

    At work.

    In church.

    On social media.

    And in our communities.

The world needs people who choose integrity over dishonesty.

    Kindness over cruelty.

    Hope over despair.

    Truth over compromise.

As followers of Christ, our lives should reflect His character.

When others are gossiping, choose words that build people up.

When others choose selfishness, choose generosity.

When others respond with anger, respond with grace.

When others lose hope, remind them that hope is found in Jesus.

Being "salt" doesn't mean blending in with the world.

It means influencing the world for Christ.

People should experience something different when they encounter you.

    Not because you are perfect.

But because Christ is working through you.

Never underestimate the impact of your daily choices.

A kind word can encourage someone who is struggling.

A helping hand can restore someone's faith in humanity.

A simple conversation about Jesus can change someone's eternity.

God has placed you where you are for a purpose.

    Be faithful in that place.

    Be an example of Christ.

And let your life point others to Him.

    Today, ask yourself:

Am I making my surroundings better because I follow Jesus?

Go into your day with the desire to preserve what is good, spread God's love, and point people to Christ.

    Be the salt.

    Be the difference.

    Be faithful.
