IF NOBODY CAN CORRECT YOU, YOU’RE NOT A DISCIPLE
Authority resistance is the clearest sign of spiritual immaturity.
Grace and Apostolic peace to you, Beloved. Hear the word of the Lord today. We are dealing with an agonizing crisis in the modern church: a generation of believers who want the anointing of a disciple but absolutely refuse the discipline of one.
We have bred a culture of spiritual orphans who camouflage their rebellion behind hyper-spirituality. The moment a pastor, a mentor, or an apostolic leader brings correction, they instantly manifest an independent spirit, claiming, "God is my only judge," or "I hear from the Holy Spirit for myself."
Hear me clearly: If your theology does not allow for human correction, your theology is unbiblical. If there is no one in your life who has the spiritual authority to tell you, "You are out of line, sit down, and repent," you are not a disciple. You are a loose cannon, and you are dangerously close to deception.
The Anatomy of Rebellion
In this final hour, LABOURERS NOT WORKERS ARE NEEDED. Do you know the difference?
A worker just wants to clock in, perform a task, be seen by men, and collect a blessing. The moment a worker is corrected, they get offended, pack up their gifts, and look for another church where their ego will be stroked.
But a labourer? A true apostolic labourer is bound to the harvest and submitted to the Lord of the Harvest. A labourer knows that the pruning shears of correction are not meant to destroy them, but to make them bear more fruit. A labourer understands that you can never be trusted with spiritual authority until you have proven you can submit to it.
"A believer who cannot be corrected is a believer who cannot be perfected. Your resistance to accountability is not a sign of your deep spiritual standing; it is the loudest broadcast of your unyielded flesh."
The Biblical Expose: The Litmus Test of Sonship
The Word of God completely dismantles the illusion of the "uncorrectable Christian."
The Mark of the Fool (Proverbs 12:1): "Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid." The Scriptures do not mince words. Rejecting correction is not a personality trait; it is spiritual foolishness.
The Agony of the Watchmen (Hebrews 13:17): "Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you." God has placed delegated authority in your life as a safety net for your soul. When you fight them, you are cutting your own safety net.
The Davidic Heart vs. The Saulic Ego (2 Samuel 12): When King Saul was corrected by Samuel, he made excuses and tried to save face before the people (1 Samuel 15). He lost the kingdom. When King David was confronted by Nathan the prophet for adultery and murder, he didn't pull rank. He collapsed in repentance (Psalm 51). True discipleship is revealed in how you respond when your sin and errors are exposed.
The Illusion of "Just Me and Jesus"
The enemy loves to isolate you under the guise of "intimacy with God." He will convince you that you don't need spiritual mothers or fathers, that you are a law unto yourself. This is a demonic trap. Jesus Himself submitted to the Father, and He established a Church built on apostolic alignment and mutual submission (Ephesians 5:21).
If your "Holy Ghost" always agrees with you, never challenges your comfort, and constantly tells you that all your leaders are wrong—you are not hearing the Holy Ghost. You are listening to your own amplified pride.
A Soul-Surrendering Call to Alignment
It is time to crush the spirit of rebellion. It is time to let the cross do its agonizing, beautiful work on your pride.
Ask yourself right now: Who has spiritual veto power in my life? Who can look at my relationships, my finances, my attitude, or my doctrines and say, "Stop," and I will actually listen?
If your answer is "nobody," you are in grave spiritual danger. You must transition from being a defensive worker to a yielded labourer. You must invite the scalpel of correction back into your life so the infection of pride can be drained.
CALL TO ACTION: The Altar of Submission
Do not scroll past this. The Holy Spirit is confronting you today to save you from a shipwrecked faith. Take these steps immediately:
Publicly Dethrone Your Pride: Drop your defenses and type "I SUBMIT TO THE PRUNING" in the comments below. Let your confession of humility begin right here.
Make the Call: Think of the spiritual authority or mentor you recently bristled against, ignored, or walked away from because they told you an uncomfortable truth. Call them today. Repent for your stubbornness.
