When a Christian goes to work each day, God holds them accountable for adding, enhancing and improving things in their workplace. Jesus told the story of three men who were each given money. One was given five bags of it, another two, and another one. The first two ‘…went and traded with them, and gained…’ (Matthew 25:16 NAS). They showed skill, initiative, and made 100 percent profit. So they were commended by their master. But the third man just punched the clock, called in sick, didn’t train, try, dare, or do. So his job review didn’t go too well. And Jesus said something that ought to make us all sit up and take notice: ‘To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.’ That means if your attitude and work ethic are poor, you’re in trouble with God. So, let’s stop and think about your job. If Jesus were your supervisor, would you do your work any differently? How would you answer the phone, type documents, treat your employees, or teach your pupils if Jesus were checking your work? As a citizen of God’s kingdom you need to periodically review your attitude on the job, solicit feedback on how you can grow, demonstrate love and grace to those you work with, make your company profitable, and enjoy the work you do. Two elderly women, Peggy and Christine Smith, deeply burdened by the spiritual decline, began fervent prayer for God to awaken their community to righteousness. Their prayers were anchored in repentance and a return to the Lord. Soon, other believers joined them in prayer. Yet, despite their waywardness, God desired to restore and revive them if they genuinely repented. The promises of being "revived after two days" and "restored on the third day" symbolised God's readiness to bring spiritual renewal to those who returned to Him.* *Christians today have important lessons to learn. True healing, whether it is healing from guilt, broken relationships, spiritual dryness or backsliding, begins with repentance. It is not just about feeling remorse but about acknowledging your sins, seeking God's forgiveness, and making a decisive turn toward Him.* *In our modern world, temptations and sin often pull people away from God. But just as the Hebrides Revival demonstrated, God responds powerfully to repentance. When believers humble themselves and call upon God for themselves or others, He is faithful to heal, restore, and pour out His blessings. All these show man's deliberate responsibilities in order to keep the blessings of God for a long time . In 1948, a released christian newsletter during the time of revivalist Abraham Branham reads. “All the great outpourings of the past have had their outstanding truths. Luther’s truth was Justification by Faith. Wesley’s was Sanctification. The Baptists taught the premillennial coming of Christ. The Missionary Alliance taught Divine Healing. The Pentecostal outpouring has restored the Baptism of the Holy Ghost to its rightful place. But, the next great outpouring is going to be marked by all these other truths plus such a demonstration of the nine gifts of the Spirit as the world, not even the Apostolic world, has ever witnessed before. This revival will be short and will be the last before the Rapture of the Church.” The consolation and joy is that whatever great and wonderful experiences we have enjoyed in the past can still be restored by God if man does the needful. This is the message of Hosea to Israel and the godly. *1. Call to Return to God* a. Adam, representing the man of all ages, started with God, but departed from God and many woes followed. In order to vacate the woes, the message of God is simple, return to God. All the woes, challenges, calamities, anguish, backslidings and challenges of man have only one divine prescription: Return to God. Returning to God requires turning or change. Man is generally, reluctant to change. This is one of Newton's Laws of Motion. Willingness to turn is generally, where the problem of man lies. The turning to God requires acceptance of wrongs towards God, decisions with appropriate steps and asking God for forgiveness without self justification. It involves deliberate action of repentance. Repentance from what cause the loss of good old blessings, including repentance from sin, unforgiving spirit, bitterness against neighbours and perhaps God, love of the world, selective obedience to the command of God in any area etc., are just what God is looking for before He pours down His blessings afresh. God did not see that turning or repentance in Adam and Eve. Both of them were busy giving excuses and blaming each other. Neither fully admitted his/her obvious wrong and neither fully repented and returned to God. The repercussion was that they never got the blessing they lost back. They were driven from the beautiful, blessed and blissful garden. If they had returned to God with words of soberness and repentance, the story would have been different for them and the whole humanity. All lost blessings from God are only returned after turning and repentance from the root cause. b. The message of God is the same. *"Come, and let us return unto the LORD"*. Stop the blame game. Stop the murmuring and complain. The promise of God for the repentant is valid at all times and in all generations. *"For he hath torn, and he will heal us"*. When your garment of glory is torn, when your shining regalia of blessings is torn, when the source of your joy is torn, the immediate and uncompromisable demand of God and solution is to turn to God. *"He hath smitten, and he will bind us up"*. This is a word of assurance for those who take the courage to turn from their evil ways, carelessness and compromise. *Question* Assess your life where you have departed from God and your old consecration to God and His word. Are you willing to turn? Start today. *2. Comforting Revival Through Grace* a. Has Israel not gone too far to an irredeemable damnable and bitter experience? God, through Hosea says NO. When there is possibility and willingness to turn, the promise to restore and revive is always unbreakable. Jesus said, *"the scripture cannot be broken."* Hosea used the picture of Calvary and the resurrection of Jesus on the third day to show the reality and restoration of revival for dead bones. *"After two days will he revive us"*. After two days is the third day including all other days after the third day. It shows the beginning of revival on the third day and the continuity of revival after the third day. *"In the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight"*. The resurrection of Jesus Christ has assurably made possible the restoration of any dead soul and experiences even when it appears they are already stinking spiritually in the grave. b. The parable of dead bones in Ezekiel 37 shows that revival and restoration is possible when the Word of God is given a prominent and final say in the life of an individual, family, church or nation. All the revivals the Church has experienced in different ages at a time of total darkness were as a result of giving the Word of God the first and unquestionably place. The same applies to any individual that needs revival. Taking the Word of God at face values drives to repentance including burdened and persistent prayers. Once this is done, the rain will definitely fall and there will be repentance and restoration. *Question* Are you desirous of revival and restoration of past glories in your life? From the explanation above, what is your decision? *3. Continuous Refreshment unto Glory* a. Why blessings are lost and revival is gone is because of lack of continuity in the Old faith and consecration that brought the revival in the first place. Jesus said, *"If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples in deed"*. Disciples in deeds are different from disciples in the mouth to profession. Continuity is the key. *"Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD"*. Continuous following leads to deeper knowledge and deeper knowledge is manifested by continuous following. *"His going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth"*. The former rain is to prepare the ground for planting while the latter rain is to prepare the crop for harvesting. It is the harvesting that is generally seen, but not the planting time of rigour and sacrifice. He that sows, though not seen by many should sow in hope because harvesting is certain. Rain of the Holy Spirit is needed to sow the seed of repentance, intercession and consecration while rain of the Holy Spirit is also needed to enjoy the harvest of refreshment, restoration and revival. Continuity in sowing the seed of the Word of God and wetting it with tears of prayers and acts of consecration will bring the abundant rain and there will be overflowing joy, revival and restoration again. *Question* Are you determined to continue getting deeper into the Word, prayer and consecration without giving up until the rain falls and there are blessings and visitations from heaven again? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, open my eyes to areas that I need to turn to you afresh and make me willing to pay the price of turning 🙏. 2.Give me the rain of the Spirit that will help me to sow with tears and deeper consecration until the abundant rain falls on my soul, nation and church 🙏. 3.I ask for power and determination to continue seeking your face without giving up and backing out 🙏. 4.Father, send the rain and awaken your Church to true restoration and revival 🙏. *HYMN:* Come Holy Spirit. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 9-12. 2. Help us today, O Jesus, to overcome every temptation. Stand by us and do not let us fall into darkness in any moment of trial. We are also grateful that You know all about sorrow. You have experienced every depth of human pain. There is no sorrow unknown to You, no grief that You cannot understand. Life brings us sorrows, sometimes very deep ones. No human friend can fully understand them. Our loved ones want to help us but cannot take away our pain or give us true comfort. Earth has no sufficient consolation for us. My Burden for Kids I still remember the day when my heart was deeply moved for these children. While walking through the slum areas, I met many mothers who were struggling to survive alone. Many of their husbands had destroyed their families through alcohol, drugs, and small crimes, and eventually abandoned them. These mothers were left alone to raise their children. Today many of them work as housemaids—cleaning homes, washing dishes, and doing whatever work they can find—just to keep their children alive. But even with all their hard work, their struggle is heartbreaking. Many mothers cannot provide proper food, clean clothes, or school fees for their children. I saw children wearing torn clothes, being scolded or punished in school because they could not pay their fees, and sometimes even turned away at the school gate. Out of shame and helplessness, many mothers eventually stop sending their children to school. Some children end up begging or performing on the streets just to get something to eat. The first time I witnessed this reality, my eyes filled with tears. I prayed and said: “God, I cannot change this alone. But if You open hearts and bring people together, we can bring hope to these children.” Since that day, this burden has never left my heart. The Children’s Reality Every morning, many of these children wake up with one painful question: “Will I get food today?” Some nights they go to bed hungry. They wear torn clothes while watching other children walk to school in clean uniforms. Many walk barefoot because their shoes are broken. They dream of studying, becoming something in life, and helping their families one day. But without books, school bags, clothes, or school fees, those dreams slowly begin to fade away. These children are not numbers. They are children with dreams, smiles, and a future that only needs a small opportunity. An Urgent Need Right now, we are urgently seeking support for 12 children who are in immediate need of help. These children are struggling every day for food, education, and basic necessities. But this does not mean that only 12 children are suffering. There are many more children living in the same conditions—children who are still waiting and hoping that someone will notice them and care for them. For now, we are taking a small step by focusing on these children first. Our prayer is that as more hearts are touched, we will be able to reach many more children in the future. Holy Wit – Reflections # 8 — Love in Deed and Truth Walking in the Light: Studies Through 1 John Scripture Reference: 1 John 3:11–24 There was a man in the church whom everyone knew was struggling. He had not announced it from the front. There had been no formal appeal, no notice pinned to a board, and no carefully arranged collection. People simply knew. His work had become irregular. His wife had been unwell for several months. There were children in the home, school expenses had not stopped, and the cupboards were beginning to show the strain. On Sunday mornings, people greeted him warmly. “Brother, we are praying for you.” “God will provide.” “Keep trusting the Lord.” All of these things were true. God does provide. Prayer matters. Trust in the Lord is never misplaced. Still, when the service ended, most people went home. One man did not. He had noticed that the struggling brother’s shoes were coming apart. He had noticed the children no longer brought anything to the church meal. He had noticed the way the man’s wife declined invitations, not because she did not want fellowship, but because travelling cost money they did not have. So he went home, spoke with his own family, and returned later that afternoon. He brought rice, cooking oil, vegetables, soap, medicine, and enough money to cover several urgent expenses. He did not make a speech. He did not take a photograph. He did not describe his generosity to others. He simply placed the bags inside the house and said, “The Lord has given us enough to share.” The struggling man began to cry. It was not only the food. It was the fact that somebody had seen him. There is a kind of love that speaks well and does nothing. It knows the correct words. It offers blessings, promises prayer, and expresses concern. It may even feel sincere sympathy. Yet it never moves beyond the lips. John refuses to call that sufficient. “My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.” John does not despise words. Words can encourage, comfort, instruct, and strengthen. The gospel itself must be proclaimed in words. A silent church is not necessarily a loving church. But words that never become action are easily exposed as empty. John places Cain and Christ before us as two completely different pictures of the heart. Cain saw his righteous brother and killed him. Christ saw guilty sinners and gave Himself for them. Cain removed another person because that person’s righteousness troubled him. Christ laid down His own life for those who had rebelled against Him. Cain took life. Christ gave His life. That contrast gives us John’s definition of love. Love is not merely liking someone. It is not affection detached from duty. It is not politeness, friendliness, or warm feeling by itself. Love gives. Love bears cost. Love moves towards need rather than away from it. The cross is the supreme revelation of this kind of love. Christ did not love His people by offering encouraging words from heaven. He came into our condition. He bore our sin. He endured judgment. He laid down His life. We cannot repeat His saving work. His sacrifice was once for all. Yet those who have received that love are commanded to reflect its shape. That is why John immediately turns from Christ laying down His life to the ordinary matter of a brother in need. The move is deliberate. We may speak grandly about being willing to die for another believer while refusing to be inconvenienced by him. We may imagine great acts of courage while ignoring small acts of mercy. We may say, “I would lay down my life for the brethren,” while protecting every hour, every possession, every comfort, and every personal preference. John brings us back to the cupboard, the wallet, the spare room, the telephone call, the hospital visit, the meal, the journey, the forgiveness, the patient conversation. That is where love is usually tested. Not in imagined moments of heroism, but in ordinary opportunities to give ourselves away. This does not mean that every need must be met by one person. No believer has unlimited resources. Wisdom is necessary. Some requests are unwise. Some forms of assistance may encourage irresponsibility rather than relieve genuine need. Love must be “in deed and in truth”. Truth matters. Biblical love does not help someone continue in sin. It does not confuse compassion with approval. It does not call what is harmful good. Sometimes love gives. Sometimes love warns. Sometimes love provides money. Sometimes love provides counsel instead. Sometimes love comforts the suffering. Sometimes love confronts the wandering. But love never settles for indifference. John’s question is not whether we possess enough to solve every problem. His question is what happens in our hearts when we see a real need and have some ability to respond. Do we open our hearts, or close them? That question can trouble a sincere Christian. We remember occasions when we did nothing. We see the limits of our love. We recognize selfishness, impatience, resentment, and failure. Then the heart begins to condemn us. John understands this. He does not tell us to pretend we have loved perfectly. He directs us to God, who is greater than our heart and knows all things. God knows our sins more fully than we do. Yet He also knows the difference between a hypocrite who is content without love and a believer who grieves over lovelessness and desires to change. Our assurance does not rest on having performed enough acts of kindness to earn God’s acceptance. It rests first upon Christ. The same Christ who commands love is the Christ who laid down His life for sinners. Still, the presence of practical love gives evidence that His grace is at work within us. Not perfect love, but real love. Not constant victory, but a new direction. John then joins faith, obedience, love, and prayer together. We believe in the name of Jesus Christ. We love one another. We keep His commandments. We abide in Him, and He in us by the Holy Spirit. These are not separate compartments of the Christian life. They belong together. A heart being shaped by Christ begins to desire what pleases Christ. A believer walking in obedience approaches God with greater confidence, not because obedience has purchased an answer, but because the believer’s desires are being brought into agreement with God’s will. And so the question remains close to home. Who has God placed before us? Whose need have we noticed? What do we possess that could be shared? Perhaps the first act of love will not look impressive. It may be a bag of rice. A paid bill. A ride to a clinic. A meal carried across the road. An hour spent listening. A quiet gift no one else ever hears about. When the temperatures spike, our response must shift. ☀️ For most of us, a heatwave is an inconvenience—a reason to adjust the thermostat, complain about the humidity, and stay indoors. But for those living on the margins, extreme weather is a life-threatening crisis. Catholic Social Teaching calls us to the Preferential Option for the Poor. This principle insists that the needs of the vulnerable must always come first. When the heat index rises, our moral obligation to our neighbors rises right along with it. Proactive Relief as a Matter of Dignity Responding to a heatwave isn't just about performing a nice act of charity; it is a fundamental recognition of human dignity. We cannot wait for the vulnerable to come to us seeking relief. We must go to them. Providing proactive relief is how we declare that those suffering in the heat are seen, valued, and worthy of immediate care. How to Take Action This Week: Build Hot Weather Bags: Pack gallon Ziploc bags with cold water bottles, electrolyte packets, travel-sized sunscreen, lip balm, and cooling towels or hats. Keep Them Ready: Store these bags in your car or by your front door so you are always equipped to hand them out to those on the streets. Check the Margins: Look out for the unhoused, the elderly without proper AC, and those who labor outdoors in your immediate community. A bottle of cold water handed through a car window in the suffocating heat of the day is more than just hydration. It is incarnational love in action. Matthew 13:18-23 Sow Where? To understand this parable it is important to know how sowing seed or farming has changed. These days seeds are planted in neat rows to give room for harvesters and equipment to tend to the plants in the field. Not so in Jesus’ day. Bags of seed were either slung on the backs of animals to be spread as the animal is led over the field or it was a single individual with a giant bag from which he is casting seed by hand, EVERYWHERE. What's important is to get as much seed growing as possible and that requires maximum distribution. But this is a parable of encouragement for the sower and a warning for those listening. The warning and the encouragement have the same words. “Not all seed that is cast will flourish.” He has already taught that the varied grounds upon which the seed is cast will affect the growth of the plant and the grounds represent the heart of those who hear the word. The first is the hard path which doesn't allow seed to root or grow. Satan, represented by the crows, comes to steal the seed before it has a chance to take root and grow. In other words, to remove it before the seed and time has a chance to make that seed grow. These are those for whom the gospel message is misunderstood or simply not believed. The second type of soil is the rocky places, where depth of rooting is not possible. Here, the seed (word) springs up quickly. But because the conversion is shallow, and when the inevitable hard times come, the ecstatic eager faith dies and the believer falls away from the faith. Sadly, many in today's churches live with a lifelong shallow faith because the persecution never arrives. Their faith cannot be tested because it's simply not strong enough to be. When some Christians are persecuted, it strengthens them. These are not those believers. The third soil is the soil with shrubbery, and thorns that grow with the seed and choke the life from these. Jesus says this represents those who believe for a short time and then the worries of the world, concern for riches begin to choke out the seed of growth. Again sadly, many churches today are more concerned with programs, buildings and things of this world than they are with the word of God. These worries stifle the work of the spirit and the actual growth of the Kingdom never occurs. But these congregations limp along barely surviving because the focus of their work has been redirected. Finally, there is the fourth type of soil, the good soil. Good soil can result in a little growth or in a lot of growth, but all things being equal, growth occurs. Preachers who only ever reached one person for Christ experienced growth. Those who reached thousands also experienced growth. First, let's cover what this doesn't say. It doesn't say we are to attempt to locate the type of soil (person) prior to casting (preaching). The idea that we are to limit preaching to those we consider, ‘good soil’ and avoid every other kind of soil is not biblical. Some preachers deliberately avoid the populations of some communities for fear of preaching to rocky ground hearers. But let's make something clear, we are to preach to EVERYONE. The condition of their heart is the hearers responsibility, it's the preaching that is our responsibility. Some are tempted to not preach at Pride events or in the center of other Satanic inspired event because “those people just won't listen”. That's not our right to declare someone worthy of hearing the gospel. It's for ALL. Second, and this is the most essential lesson of this text to take away from this lesson. The type of the soil, representing the condition of our hearts can change at various times in one's life. Many solid believers were once resistant or hostile to the gospel message perhaps of a hard hearted nature and now, are not. Who is to say that the word that was preached to you before, wasn't somehow lodged deep below, not germinating, but lying dormant waiting for the right time to sprout forth because now you are ready to hear it? So preach, sow, the word of God around you. Maybe a fourth of them will listen the way they should. And of that fourth, some will gain many and others will gain few regardless, we have an obligation to preach to everyone. And that is what is known as the Parable of the Sower. [18] “Listen then to the parable of the sower. [19] When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one sown with seed beside the road. [20] The one sown with seed on the rocky places, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; [21] yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution occurs because of the word, immediately he falls away. [22] And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. [23] But the one sown with seed on the good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces, some a hundred, some sixty, and some thirty times as much.”

Have you ever wondered if you've really left your old life behind? Especially when you stumble again or when people remind you of who you used to be? I love the word "depart" in the NKJV. It doesn't just mean to turn away—it means to leave. Pack your bags. Move away. Don't keep visiting what God called you out of. Then comes the next instruction: do good. They belong together. Leave evil behind and fill your life with what is good. If you're busy doing good, you'll have far less room for what pulls you back. Then we're told to seek peace and pursue it. For us, that means pursuing Jesus, the Prince of Peace. The deeper you go into His presence, the more you'll discover the peace only He can give. So today, leave the old behind, do good, and keep pursuing Jesus. Father, thank You for the wisdom of Your Word. In 2 Kings 5, Naaman was healed of leprosy through faith and obedience, revealing God's power. In contrast, Gehazi, Elisha's servant, fell into sin due to greed. Driven by the love of money, he deceitfully pursued Naaman to acquire gifts Elisha had refused. His actions were not hidden from God. Through divine insight, Elisha confronted Gehazi and was struck with the same leprosy that had afflicted Naaman. Greed leads not only to spiritual ruin but also to physical consequences. Today, because of the love of money, some have indulged in prostitution. Some have contracted sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) while others are living miserably as a consequence. Are you compromising your faith for a fleeting gain? Seek God's mercy in repentance. *REFLECTION:* Be warned! Greed can destroy your life. *PRAYER:* Mighty God, help me to overcome greed in my life, in Jesus' name. They entail making him a great nation and a great name in addition to making him a blessing to mankind. This blessing is all encompassing covering spiritual, physical, social and material. Our text is a break down of those blessings to the natural seed of Abraham, which is the nation of Israel. It can be zeroed down to the citizens since the blessings on the citizens are blessings on the nation and vice versa. Even when individuals miss out of the blessings through carelessness and faithlessness, the nation will still enjoy the blessings as a whole. The Church of God automatically, inherits these blessings through the death of Jesus Christ that made it possible for the wild olive tree to be grafted into the olive tree. There are some striking observations. As the Old Covenant started with blessings or blessedness, the same thing with the new covenant when Jesus pronounced blessedness on the believers (Matthew 5:3-11). So the essence and motivation of divine covenants is not judgements, but blessings. The blessings or blessedness of the Old Covenant as revealed in the text are majorly earthly and material with little touch of spiritual blessings. However, all the blessedness mentioned by Jesus, in Matthew 5, are on spiritual, the material can only be gotten by inference. Thus, the emphasis of the blessedness in the New Covenant is spiritual blessings while the material blessings are not denied either. These spiritual blessings are called *"the promise of the Spirit through faith"* (Galatians 3:14). Thus, those pulpits and people who put more emphasis on the material blessings than the spiritual blessings of Abraham's blessings are still, by implication, living in the Old Testament. Also observe that the blessedness Moses pronounced in the Old Covenant are just four, while the blessedness Jesus pronounced in the New Testament are nine which is the same number of the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. Thus, the blessings of the New Testament are greater and better than that of the old. *"But now hath he (Jesus) obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises"* (Hebrews 8:6). Just as the blessings of the Old Covenant is for the Nation Israel and individuals are expected to tap into each of them, the blessedness of the New Covenant is for the Church and individuals have the responsibility to freely tap into any and all of them by faith. In the text is the breakdown of the blessings and the conditions. They are self explanatory. Happy is he that takes the bull by the horn and does all that is necessary to be a partaker of those blessings, most especially the spiritual blessings. *1. The Multidimensional Blessings* *a. Professional Blessings* The major occupation of Israel was farming and raising livestock. Both are done in the field. *"Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field"*. Obviously, this promise is only for those who work and have a clear work profession and not for the lazy and indolent. *b. Procreation Blessings* The first blessing God gave Adam and the living beings He created is procreation. *"And God blessed them, saying, be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth..."* (Genesis 1:22, 24, 29). *"Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep"*. Procreation and multiplication are both responsibilities and the demand of God on all. Unwillingness to procreate, for whatever reason is not the will of God. Lack of procreation is not just a fundamental right, but a fundamental failure. *c. Prosperity Blessings* a. Their harvests and their profitable labours or sweats are also blessed. *"Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store"*. There are also social blessings. *"Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out"*. Honour and happiness, are not shame or disgrace are marked for true children of God. He promised, *"My people shall never be ashamed"* in the midst of the saints and sinners. There is a divine command of blessings *"in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee"*. You don't have to run to another land for blessings. *"And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee"*. *d. Protection Blessings* Prosperity and blessings do attract enmity, envy, and hatred of the wicked. There is divine complete comprehensive insurance in the Covenant. *"The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways"*. The divine response to any attack of the wicked will not be commensurate with the attack, but will be seven times the attack showing that total, not partial, victory is guaranteed. *e. Purity Blessings* This is the only one of the blessings that is spiritual. *"The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee"*. You can only be established in what you possess. So it shows that God would first make them holy and they shall remain in holy living by the power of God. The implication is that your lifestyle will be unarguably godly. This is also fulfilled for the Church when the believers in Christ are called Christians. While the idol worshippers and sinners resemble Satan, the God of this world, believers in Christ are to avail themselves of the grace of God and be Christlike and gracious. *"And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee"*. *f. Partaking Blessings* The blessings of God are not only to be enjoyed, but to be shared with people to partake. God will give abundance that is enough to give others partake from. *"The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure...and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow"*. Your impact is known by what you share and not according to what you possess. *"God is able to make all grace abound towards you so that you have all sufficiency in all things"* How about that? *g. Preferential Blessings* The last but not the least of the blessings God has for you is to excel in every good thing above the godless. *"And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail"*. It is God that will do it for you, but beyond that. It is not just excellence in some areas of life, but excellent in every area. *"And thou shalt be above only"*. What is the significance of the word *"only"* in the promise? *Question* Which of the blessings is not yet manifesting in your life? Why Not? *2. The Manifestations of Believing* Do you believe that these blessings are yours? The only way one can demonstrate faith in God's blessings is through obedience of faith. Abraham himself manifested faith in what God said. *"Abraham believed God and it was counted for righteousness"*. Faith in God is active. It produces obedience. Obedience to all that God commanded starting from repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, followed by consistent holy walk with God like Abraham that God commanded, *"walk before me and be thou perfect"*. This condition of obedience is repeated over and over. *"And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth"*. A lift above equals and all above sinners is a function of diligent obedience to the Word of God. This also applies to the Church as a whole. *"And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God"*. This is emphasised again and again. *"If thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways"*. They are conditional blessings. *If that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them"*. In this age of hypergrace, this emphasis cannot be overemphasised. Since enjoying the blessings of Abraham is conditioned on obedience of faith, the same blessings will require the same conditions in the New Covenant. Grace does not cancel obedience, but makes obedience very easy. *"And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them"*. *Question* Do you take obedience to the Word of God very seriously? *Prayer Points* 1.Give praises to God that qualifies you to be a partaker of Abraham's blessings 🙏. 2.Ask for faith and grace to take obedience very seriously 🙏. 3.Ask for any of the blessings not yet visible in your life 🙏. 4.Just as the blessedness of the New Testament prioritize the spiritual blessings, pray that pastors and people will put more emphasis on spiritual blessings🙏 *HYMN:* Showers of Blessings *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* GENESIS 17-20. 2. #DAILY LIGHT DIVINE DIRECTION NOT SELF DIRECTION: A SHARP CONTRAST BETWEEN 2 KINGS 8 & RUTH 1! 🚨 ​Grace, peace, and the uncompromising, flesh-crucifying fire of the Holy Ghost to the Saint, the altar-dwellers, and the true disciples of Jesus Christ! ​Today, the Spirit of the Lord is bringing a severe, tear-stained apostolic correction to a generation of believers who have replaced the Holy Ghost with "common sense." We have a Church full of people who navigate the spirit realm using their fleshly survival instincts! We make permanent geographic, marital, and ministry decisions based on temporary discomfort, and we call it "wisdom." ​Hear me by the Spirit: God is not obligated to protect you in a territory He did not send you to! ​Let us open the surgical book of the Spirit and examine the terrifying contrast between two families who faced the exact same crisis—a severe famine—but had two completely different responses. One chose Self-Direction and harvested a graveyard; the other chose Divine Direction and harvested supernatural restoration! ​The Tragedy of Self-Direction: The Graveyard of Moab (Ruth 1) ​In Ruth chapter 1, a severe famine hit Bethlehem. The name Bethlehem means "House of Bread." There was a temporary lack in the place of covenant. ​Enter Elimelech. His name literally means "My God is King," but when the famine hit, he dethroned God and let his stomach rule! Instead of staying at the altar and crying out to the Lord, he used carnal logic. He packed up his wife Naomi and his two sons, and he abandoned the covenant land of Judah for the cursed territory of Moab. ​"And a certain man of Bethlehem, Judah, went to dwell in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons." — Ruth 1:1 (NKJV) ​Look at the terrifying anatomy of self-direction: ​He traded covenant for convenience. Moab had food, but it had no altar. How many of you are leaving your God-ordained church, your strict discipleship, or your divine assignment just to get a higher paycheck in "Moab"? ​The Harvest of Carnal Logic: Elimelech went to Moab to save his life, but he found his grave. Then his two sons married Moabite women, violating the covenant, and within ten years, both sons dropped dead! ​Self-direction cost Naomi her husband, her sons, and ten years of her destiny. She left Bethlehem full, but returned empty, bitter, and broken (Ruth 1:20-21). When you move without a Word from God, your "survival plan" will become your cemetery! ​The Triumph of Divine Direction: The Shunammite’s Preservation (2 Kings 8) ​Now look at the sharp, glorious contrast in 2 Kings 8. Another severe famine is striking the land—this one ordained by God to last seven years. ​But look at the Shunammite woman. She did not panic. She did not pack her bags based on the economy. She waited under her apostolic covering until the Word of the Lord came through the prophet Elisha! ​"Then Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, 'Arise and go, you and your household, and stay wherever you can; for the Lord has called for a famine, and furthermore, it will come upon the land for seven years.' So the woman arose and did according to the saying of the man of God..." — 2 Kings 8:1-2 (NKJV) ​Because she moved by Divine Direction, heaven was obligated to underwrite her journey! She went to the land of the Philistines, and when the seven years were over, she returned. ​Watch the terrifying precision of God’s timing: The exact moment she walked into the king's court to ask for her land back, Gehazi was standing there telling the king the story of how Elisha raised her son! ​You cannot orchestrate that kind of timing! Because she moved by the Spirit, God defended her assets while she was gone and restored them the very second she returned. The king ordered: "Restore all that was hers, and all the proceeds of the field from the day that she left the land until now" (2 Kings 8:6). ​The Prophetic Verdict: Stop Moving Without the Cloud! ​Are you an Elimelech or are you the Shunammite? ​Are you relocating your family, changing your career, or abandoning your spiritual covering just because things got tight in "Bethlehem"? Have you mistaken your anxiety for the voice of the Holy Ghost? ​Famine is not a license to flee! Hardship is not an excuse to abandon the will of God! If God did not tell you to move, stay put and let the Consuming Fire sustain you in the famine! Better to be hungry in the will of God than to be full in the graveyard of Moab! A Prayer of Total Surrender and Renunciation of the Flesh 🙏 ​"Lord God Almighty, the Sovereign Shepherd of my soul, I fall on my face and I repent! I repent for the arrogance of self-direction.
