• Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

What a crazy day we had yesterday … but in a positive way. A really positive way. A long-time friend told me that they prayed for the first time and that they wanted the peace that I had. I broke all the rules that I taught my children and met someone from the internet … at a candy store no less. Haha. From that meeting, I believe that I have a new friend. I met their children, and we had a good time. The drive to and from the meeting place was gorgeous. When we got home, the gas can DID NOT leak on me this time for the mower. I mowed the second property I am responsible for with ease. A grand, goofy, and GODLY day.

It was such a good day that my sleep, where solid and uninterrupted, was a bit wild as well. The enemy knows that he cannot have me. I am solid in my Father’s arms, but he does, from time to time, try to wear me out in other fashions. Whether it be writer's block and frustration or stupid little annoyances that just sit the wrong way with me, he is my thorn. HOWEVER, even with that and the draining it can give me, my eyes do not focus on the storm, but the Man who saved me from the storm.

Another friend showed me a photo of a saying the other day about how the enemy does not bother you if you are his. That is one of the most important statements ever made, in my opinion. If you have already been hired by my company, why do I need to try to get you to join our team? If you are already doing my work for me, why do I need to do anything else to get you to do my work? HOWEVER, when you start to see that the job you are doing is not peaceful or feels wrong or sits poorly in your spirit and you seek alternative solutions … i.e., God. You bet your bottom dollar that I do not want to lose a valued employee, and I am going to pull out all the tricks to keep you. In a business sense, I would give raises that were not earned, or flatter you with compliments always, and I would tell you that rival company has this negative and that negative and the rules are outrageous. The owner does not care about his employees and just look at how good you have it here.

When you decide to leave the enemy’s troops, he gets upset that his forces are dwindling. When you are doing his bidding, he is quite content and will show you why you should stick around. When you decide that this company is not for you and you start to move away … he throws a tantrum. He not only gets in your face and yells obscenities at you, but he goes after anyone who is trying to headhunt for your skill set. For example, my rough night’s sleep last night was a chaotic mess of utter confusion meant for me to wake up drained and not speak to my friend on this topic today. Just like medicine has an opposite effect on my husband, the enemy’s attempts to stop me have the same type of effect on me.

I think it was Paul who said he counted it great joy to have been chosen for the challenges placed before him. I would like to think that I am the same. I have a saying, ‘If you are coming after me, or talking about me, you are leaving everyone else alone.” I am good with that.’

Today I want you to walk with pride and confidence. Today I want you to show the enemy that you have chosen the Father of Peace and are leaving the father of chaos. Today I pray that your challenges appear in such a manner that you laugh when they arise and show God’s glorious victory as you take each step towards Him. Today …. Today is the day that God made …

    Be blessed.

  • Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

I am on a weight loss journey, as many know. Each time that I do this, I know that the weight did not magically appear overnight, so I should not expect it to disappear overnight. And honestly, if my weight would disappear that quickly, I would actually go to the doctor. So, my journey has been slow going, but steady. At last weigh-in, I was under 190. Victory. My ultimate goal is between 155-160. I looked really good at that weight, and I felt amazing. I have an understanding in my head and my heart that this transformation back into a healthy weight is a process that will take time and discipline. I am well aware of the requirements of how to get the success that I desire. Sometimes I am not so diligent in my efforts for a host of excuses and reasons, but it does not change the fact that I know what I need to do. I just chose in that moment to do the wrong thing.

In a weight loss journey, there are those who will ‘allow’ a cheat day or two. They count it as a necessity, and if I happen to speak of my journey and that was not very good yesterday or today, I am covered with ‘everyone needs a cheat day’ and ‘you look great, just start again tomorrow’. Both are inspiring and encouraging sentiments meant to be helpful.

I have a question: why is it … then … do we find it necessary to hold people to a different standard if they are trying to stop something different … such as smoking, drinking, drugs, video games (yes, it is an addiction), or even those trying to lose weight but are still very much obese? Why do we decide in that moment that ‘tough’ love is the only way to get through to them? Who decided that after so much time compassion was no longer relevant and a crutch? Or enabling? Why do we think that if ‘we’ get involved and show our love, the problem will instantly go away? Okay, it was several questions. You know I cannot count.

Back in the 80s, I remember that the microwave oven was the hippest thing you could own. You could warm things up easier and faster. You could cook your meal in minutes instead of hours. Your house would not heat up as quickly in the summer. They even came up with a microwave milkshake. I liked them … but I was a kid and it was ice cream. Haha. Instant food. No wait. No prep. No time-consuming preparation. Take it out of the freezer, pop it in, heat it up, and enjoy the tasteless rubber. Haha. And we all loved it. I would bet that everyone on this page has a microwave now. It does have its purpose, and it is convenient, but it does not cook a meal properly and healthily. Good old-fashioned hands-on work prepares the best meals. I had to get old to realize that. And I had to start reading the packages to see just how much ‘not’ food items were in those microwave meals. And where the microwave has a solid use, it is not a cure-all. Why do we expect a microwave solution to our everyday dilemmas?

I know that my weight loss journey is going to take time if it is going to stick. The last time I lost weight slowly, it took over a year to put it all back on … maybe even closer to two. So, doing it the right way is the best way. Just as preparing our food on a stove or slow cooker is better than a microwave. Taking slow steps and claiming the small victories in breaking those chains of addiction are what we need to see when we talk to those who are struggling. Just because we are in the picture for support now does not mean that we are the only thing that they need to walk away. The enemy has his hooks in deep. Physically and mentally. I am talking super deep. Once he gets in that deep, compassion with accountability wrapped in UNCONDITIONAL love is what guides them back to us.

Do you have someone who is struggling with an addiction? Are they not responding to you and your support the way that you think that they should? I urge you to go to Him in prayer and ask the Father to guide you. Do you have someone who struggles with worry and depression? They see your peace but cannot claim it for themselves? Go to the Father in prayer and pray the 91st Psalm over them and again ask for guidance to help them through their slow cooker process. Do you know someone who cannot see spiritual light no matter how bright it is? Go to the Father and ask Him to show you how to take off their blinders.

Remember, the most important thing … We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. That does not mean that I speak it today and it happens in the next microwave minutes. It means that my faith, my unconditional love, my perseverance to believe in the impossible will come to pass, and no matter how much time it takes, I will always believe. The other item to remember is that sometimes, and this is hard to swallow, but sometimes the victory over the addiction is them being called home to escape the devil’s hooks. Where that hurts here in the physical, they won the ultimate victory. We must remember that we do not know God’s plan, but he sees the bigger picture. Stand firm. Do not waver. He is in control. The victory is His. We must hang on to the faith as Noah did when he built the ark … silence the outside voices and stay focused on Him.

    Be blessed today.

**Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. – Hebrews 12:14

  • FINISH WELL
“The end of a thing is better than its beginning; the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” —Ecclesiastes 7:8
The poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said, “Great is the art of beginning, but greater is the art of ending.”
And Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, wrote, “The end of a thing is better than its beginning” (Ecclesiastes 7:8 NKJV).
Starting strong is overrated. Take sports, for example. Few baseball statisticians keep track of which team was ahead after the first inning. What matters is the final score. Likewise, starting strong is overrated in our spiritual journey.
The Bible gives us examples of people who started strong in their service to the Lord, only to falter later.
Scripture doesn’t celebrate these early successes; instead, it uses the people’s experiences as cautionary tales for other believers. One of the most memorable of these cautionary tales is that of Samson. Samson had a great beginning. He was blessed with superhuman qualities. Physically, there was no one stronger.
We get a sense of his power in Judges 14:5–6: “As Samson and his parents were going down to Timnah, a young lion suddenly attacked Samson near the vineyards of Timnah. At that moment the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon him, and he ripped the lion’s jaws apart with his bare hands. He did it as easily as if it were a young goat” (NLT).
Samson was a one-man army, a judge chosen by God to make a difference on behalf of His people. On one occasion Samson killed thirty Philistines—the enemies of the Israelites—to settle a bet.
On another occasion he killed 1,000 Philistine warriors on the battlefield with a bone that he picked up from the ground.
He wasn’t a fictitious superhero; he was the real deal.
For a time, Samson was a mighty man of God. And for a time, he was even a true world changer. Eventually, however, the world began to change him.
Samson turned his back on God. He had an amazing beginning but a tragic ending. One
day your life will be summed up in a paragraph or two on a bulletin that will be handed out at your memorial service. No one will care about how much money you made or how much stuff you owned. No one will care how high you climbed in your profession. Instead, they’ll talk about what kind of person you were.
We don’t decide the day of our death any more than we decided the day of our birth. But we do determine the spiritual state we’ll be in when we die.
God wants us to be close to Him. God wants us in friendship and fellowship and intimacy with Him.
But it’s our choice whether to have a relationship with the Lord or not to have a relationship with Him.
We must choose wisely so that we finish well.
    God bless you!

  • Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Let me introduce you to the biggest ‘oxymoron’ I can think of … Karalee Ratliff. I am a slob, but I like things in their place. I am efficient(ish) in tasks but procrastinate terribly. I like to look good, but don’t care what others think about my attire. I love to write but hate to read. I am an adult (in age) but a complete child at heart. I am a child of God, yet a sinner, nonetheless.

Any of those statements seem off or incorrect? Because … I am open to constructive criticism but will defend my position relentlessly.

Oxymoron: a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction

In the world’s eyes, these attributes disqualify me for heaven. You cannot have one along with the other. You must be one, not both. Here is the great thing about the Good News, the world has no say in it. The world can only try to persuade … they cannot convict. I am all of those things. Absolutely … one hundred percent and then some. Yet, I sit here knowing … without a doubt … that unless I turn my back and renounce my Father in heaven and His ways, I will be weeping at His feet one day. That is not arrogance, that is Peace.

As conflicted as I am, as different in all aspects of living as I am, if I can have unfettered peace about where I am going to spend eternity, then you can to. My posts each day are to bring Light into your darkness. To introduce the Father, if you have not met him. To so show you that what the enemy and the world are speaking is false and that it is a simple step to finding this peace. In many ways, I am no different than anyone else … even other Christians … we all have our ‘quirks’, yet a true follower of Christ knows in their heart … the Truth.

My friends, God is not a myth. He is not a tyrant. He is not a dictator. He is a Parent. As a parent, I want to spend time with my kids as much as possible, especially now that they are grown. God is no different in that area. He only wants to spend time with us. He takes what he can get but is always open to more. When I am with my mother, I do all that I can to make her happy. It is her day … always. When I spend time with God, I do all that I can to make him happy. It is His time … always.

Today, where I am, it is overcast. Rain is a certainty. My yard really needs it. However, the rain presents as dreary and gloomy when, in fact, today will bring life back to the soil. As you look out your window, if you are experiencing the same weather, look past the dark clouds and see the beauty of the life-giving water falling from the sky. Give thanks. Embrace the peace that it brings. Enjoy his presence and have a chat. See what He would like to discuss, I bet you will be amazed that He merely wants to discuss how you are doing. It is a wonderful time. Today is a perfect day to spend time with Him.

    Be blessed.

**Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me. – Psalm 138:7

  • Stop Saying that! Christ Died and rose for our peace. I accept that peace. But what of the joy you get from this community?
    I bet it's not so....
Every day I keep thinking about that's and wish it's not a fact here....
    Do have a nice day!!!

**PROPHETIC ALERT: STOP PLAYING RUSSIAN ROULETTE WITH YOUR ETERNITY**

** THE ARROGANCE OF TOMORROW: WHY PUTTING OFF YOUR REPENTANCE IS A DIRECT DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST GOD **
The Holy Ghost has arrested me to interrupt your scrolling.

There is a spirit of slumber that has seduced the modern church. It is a demonic lullaby that whispers, *"You have time. You can get right later. You can fix that sin next week. You can surrender when you’re older."*

**YOU ARE LISTENING TO THE HISS OF THE SERPENT.**

**HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD:**
    **Delayed obedience is immediate disobedience.**
To tell God "Tomorrow" is the highest form of arrogance a human being can commit. It is to look the Sovereign of the Universe in the eye and say, *"I am the god of my own time. I control the sunrise. I decide when I bow."*

**THIS IS TREASON.** And tonight, the axe is laid to the root of your procrastination.

    ### 1. THE THEOLOGY OF PRESUMPTION: YOU DO NOT OWN TIME

**James 4:13-14**: *"Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."*

We treat time like it is a commodity we have stocked in the pantry. You think you have 40 years left? **YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE 40 SECONDS PROMISED TO YOU.**
Your next breath is a gift of grace, not a constitutional right.

When the Holy Spirit convicts you of sin—whether it is lust, bitterness, pride, or prayerlessness—and you say, *"Not yet, Lord,"* you are presuming upon the patience of God.
**Romans 2:4**: *"Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?"*

To wait is to **DESPISE** His patience. It is to treat the Blood of Jesus like a backup plan for when you are done having your "fun" with sin. **GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED.**

    ### 2. THE GOD OF "I AM," NOT "I WILL BE"

God revealed His name to Moses as **"I AM"** (Exodus 3:14). He exists in the Eternal Now.
He is the Sovereign of **TODAY.**
The devil is the lord of **TOMORROW.**

Every time you push your holiness to "tomorrow," you are stepping out of God's jurisdiction and into the enemy's territory.
    * "I'll forgive them tomorrow."
    * "I'll break the addiction tomorrow."
    * "I'll start praying tomorrow."

**TOMORROW IS THE GRAVEYARD OF GOOD INTENTIONS.**
Tomorrow is the trap door to Hell.
If you cannot bow to Him in the "Now," you are in rebellion. Faith is always present tense. Repentance is always present tense.
**Hebrews 3:7**: *"Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith), **To day** if ye will hear his voice..."*

    ### 3. THE DANGER OF THE HARDENED HEART

Here is the terrifying spiritual reality: **The longer you wait to repent, the harder it becomes to repent.**

**Hebrews 3:13**: *"But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin."*

    Sin has a cementing effect.
The first time you ignore the conviction of the Holy Spirit, it hurts.
    The second time, it's uncomfortable.
The hundredth time? **You feel nothing.**
**1 Timothy 4:2** calls this having a conscience *"seared with a hot iron."*

You aren't just gambling with your death date; you are gambling with your *ability to feel God.* You are risking a condition where the Holy Ghost speaks, and you are chemically unable to care.
**DO NOT LET THE CEMENT DRY.**

    ### 4. THE PROPHETIC REBUKE: THE RICH FOOL

Jesus told a parable about a man who built bigger barns for his future, securing his comfort for "many years."
**Luke 12:20**: *"But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee..."*

    **THOU FOOL.**
That is what God calls the procrastinator.
Not "Thou busy man." Not "Thou distracted man." **FOOL.**
Because you bet your soul on a calendar you didn't write.

I see in the spirit realm coffins that were not scheduled. I see sudden shifts. I see the trumpet ready to sound.
**If Jesus cracks the sky tonight, will He find you "planning to repent," or will He find you READY?**

    ### THE ALTAR CALL: THE URGENCY OF NOW

I am not asking for a show of hands. I am asking for a breaking of hearts.
The Holy Spirit is hovering over you right now. That racing heart? That lump in your throat? **THAT IS MERCY.** That is God giving you one more chance to bow before the night comes.

**DO NOT SCROLL PAST. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL MORNING.**

    ** YOUR ACTION PLAN:**

    1. **DROP THE EXCUSE:** Whatever reason you have for waiting—fear, pleasure, laziness—call it what it is: **IDOLATRY.**
    2. **REPENT NOW:** Not a "prayer for later." Right where you are sitting. Look at the ceiling and cry out. *"God, I have been arrogant. I have presumed upon Your grace. I repent NOW. I surrender NOW."*
    3. **KILL THE SIN:** If it's on your phone, delete it NOW. If it's a conversation you need to have, send the text NOW. If it's an apology you owe, make the call NOW.
    4. **RE-CONSECRATE:** Give God your "Today." Tell Him, *"Lord, I only have this moment. It is Yours."*

    ** DECLARE IT:**
Type **"I SURRENDER TODAY"** in the comments. Do not let the devil steal your confession.

** SHARE THIS WARNING.** Someone on your timeline is one heartbeat away from eternity. Be the watchman!

**TAG A FRIEND** who needs to wake up.

*Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.* (**2 Corinthians 6:2**)
