• Dear Father,

I remember a couple of years ago when I would be sent on errands without any money to purchase groceries, while explaining to the vendor that payment would be made shortly. I would walk the streets rehearsing speeches and summoning the courage to face the vendor. I wanted to appear comfortable with an assignment I dreaded. Oh, how I hated initiating debts!

Apostle Paul said: “I am debtor both to the Greeks and to the Barbarians, both to the wise and to the unwise. So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.” I wondered: he owed them no money, so why did he speak of being a debtor? While some debts arise from our consumption and may instill shame in us, there are also debts that result from the need to do more than we already do. These create a burden of responsibility and are directly related to the fulfillment of our purpose.

An outstanding obligation has a way of creating unrest, perhaps even more than meeting a creditor after the due date when the funds are still unavailable. Such an obligation is a blessing when we submit to its demands and fulfill it, for it becomes a disgrace if we are called upon to give what we do not have in the season that we should. I now understand Paul’s perspective in regarding himself as a debtor.

Yet, in contrast, we often live as though the burden of purpose creates no unrest in us. If freedom were a bird, we would gladly soar on eagle’s wings, forgetting that an obligation awaits-- a moment when we will be required to give, whether we have prepared ourselves or not.

  • Matthew 23:

"1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."
Matthew 23: "1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, 7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. 29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, 30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. 32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? 34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: 35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

  • Good evening, brethren.
    1. Evening devotion for today

    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    THURSDAY, 14TH MAY, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
    RESPONSE TO GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    EXTENDING GRACE TO OTHERS.

    *TEXT:*
    MATHEW 18:23-34.
23 “That is why the kingdom from heaven may be compared to a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.
24 When he had begun to settle the accounts, a person who owed him 10,000 talents was brought to him.
25 Because he couldn’t pay, his master ordered him, his wife, his children, and everything that he owned to be sold so that payment could be made. Mat 5:25
26 Then the servant fell down and bowed low before him, saying, ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay you everything!’
27 The master of that servant had compassion and released him, canceling his debt.
28 “But when that servant went away, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him, seized him by the throat, and said, ‘Pay what you owe!’
29 Then his fellow servant fell down and began begging him, ‘Be patient with me and I will repay you!’
30 But he refused and had him thrown into prison until he could repay the debt.
31 “When his fellow servants saw what had happened, they were very disturbed and went and reported to their master everything that had occurred.
32 Then his master sent for him and told him, ‘You evil servant! I canceled that entire debt for you because you begged me.
33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’
34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers until he could repay the entire debt.

    *TOPIC:*
    EXTENDING GRACE TO OTHERS.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
In our passage, Jesus tells a story of a king who was gracious to his debtor and cancelled his enormous debt. However, the forgiven debtor acted in a contrary manner. He exerted on his debtor and had him jailed till he paid him. What arrant wickedness! Christians are no many different from the forgiven debtor. They are not gracious in dealing with others. They insist on taking their pound of flesh when wronged. Some have dragged their fellow Christians to court on insignificant issues. Beloved, since God has graciously forgiven you of many sins, you also ought to extend grace to your brethren. Do not trample on God's grace by demanding 'payment' from your erring brothers. Extend grace to others as a response to God's unwavering grace. In so doing, others will see the brightness of your faith.

    *REFLECTION:*
    Be gracious to others.

    *PRAYER:*
Father, help me to treat others graciously. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    TITUS 2:12.
It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age.

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    ESTHER 5-7.

God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    John 3:16

    Full Gospel

How important it is that we realise the truth of the full gospel of God. If I asked 10 people to profess the Gospel.. I would receive 10 different answers. Each is likely to be correct up to a point and yet each one is likely to miss out some vital, important, glorious, eternal element.

    Sparkling Gemstone

God is one and yet God is three persons.. yet God is multifaceted in His beauty. The gospel is one, yet its truths are like so many cut faces on a sparkling gemstone. John 3:16 is a most loved and precious passage to all believers, and this verse is likely to be the most inclusive proclamation on the Gospel.

    Gospel of God

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.. was the gospel reality to the Philippian jailer, and John the Baptist and Jesus both proclaimed the gospel of the coming Kingdom. I am the Resurrection and the Life.. was the great gospel the two sisters discovered – while Paul proclaimed ‘my gospel’ – which is the gospel of the grace and glory of Christ

    Multi-Dimensional

Each wonderful truth is a constituent part of a multi-dimensional gospel, yet the full gospel in all its splendour has deeper depths than this and fuller truths – a gospel that we are likely to spend an eternity considering its astonishing wonders.

    Profound Words

Austin Sparks’ proclamation of the gospel is so simple and yet so profound:- It is that the Son of God, Who is Son of Man, has come, and His coming, has expressed to the world (before times eternal...) the divine type of what God intended..His race to be – what His creation should be….that is God, contracted to the span of human life; God manifest in the flesh; combining His Own essential nature with another kind of creation called ‘man’. And in that combination producing out of Himself a type – a kind – a species – a new creation in Christ, which never occupied the world before.

    Christ in You

A species which was in God’s thought and God’s heart and God’s conception before the foundation of the world. A creature, in which God is resident Himself by His Divine nature. And in the coming of the Lord Jesus, Who is the anointed One – the Christ of God, we have a species represented, (in Christ) – we have that type manifested, (in Christ) – we have God’s nature displayed in human flesh, (in Christ) And some are destined to be conformed into the image of the Son of God – those who become identified with Him, in oneness of the Divine Life. Those destined to be the instruments for the manifestation of God – that manifestation to be demonstrated by God – indwelling man.

    Hope of Glory

Oh yes… The full, multi-dimensional yet single Gospel is indeed a glorious mystery.. a mystery which has been hid from all ages and generations, which is Christ in you the hope of glory. Colossians 1:26

    Member of His Body

The Gospel mystery is great and it is amazingly awe-inspiring and we are very members of His body: bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. Ephesians 5:30 both a personal and corporate reality. The Gospel is both a manifestation and revelation of the heart of God, before the foundation of the earth in the distant, eternal past.

    New Creation

A people for Himself – a new creation… A peculiar people through whom He manifests Himself to creation. Living souls made in His image and likeness… A new race in whom He is revealed. Beings out of His creation who are partakers of His divine nature. And all this resulting from the representative Man, achieving His work at Calvary. All this the consequence of Jesus Christ – Who is Son of God and Son of Man.

    The God-Man

Have we even started to scratch the surface of this God-Man Who loves us so dearly that He did this for you ?— as He did this for me too.. Have we the audacity to doubt His Word or question His Love for us ? Let us fall on our face and tremble – when we recognise who we are In Christ Jesus. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen John 21:25

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    EP.i. Evening Prayer

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. ⏤ Isaiah 1:18

The best remedy for a troubled heart is to focus on God’s unchanging character. ⏤ Charles Stanley

O Lord, we bow before You in loving reverence. All our blessings come from You, and we praise You. We are sinful, and You are holy. We are not worthy to approach You, yet You have made a way for us to draw near to You with confidence, as children to a Father. Lord, cleanse our hearts as we come to You. Fill us with Your Spirit so that, renewed in the spirit of our minds, we may display all the virtues and graces of the Christian life in our daily walk.

We need Your cleansing tonight after the day's journey in this sin-stained world. Our feet have been soiled in the dust as we walked through the day, our hands have been stained with the evil around us, our lips have spoken words we should not have spoken, and our hearts have been made unclean by wrong thoughts, feelings, and imaginations. Cleanse us tonight. Wash us, and we shall be whiter than snow!

We have cares and worries that distract us at the end of the day. Help us to lay them all in Your hands and leave them there. Give us Your peace. Help us to cast our burdens on You and trust that You will take care of them. Make all things work together for our good.

Have pity tonight, O God, on this sorrowful, sinful world. Remember the poor and open the hearts of those who have plenty to help those in need. Look with compassion on the sick and give them relief or the patience to endure their pain. Comfort those who are in sorrow. Hear us in these evening prayers, we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Colossians 1:26 Member of His Body The Gospel mystery is great and it is amazingly awe-inspiring and we are very members of His body: bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. Ephesians 5:30 both a personal and corporate reality. The Gospel is both a manifestation and revelation of the heart of God, before the foundation of the earth in the distant, eternal past. New Creation A people for Himself – a new creation… A peculiar people through whom He manifests Himself to creation. Living souls made in His image and likeness… A new race in whom He is revealed. Beings out of His creation who are partakers of His divine nature. And all this resulting from the representative Man, achieving His work at Calvary. All this the consequence of Jesus Christ – Who is Son of God and Son of Man. The God-Man Have we even started to scratch the surface of this God-Man Who loves us so dearly that He did this for you ?— as He did this for me too.. Have we the audacity to doubt His Word or question His Love for us ? Let us fall on our face and tremble – when we recognise who we are In Christ Jesus. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen John 21:25 Post navigation Previous Post Previous What Faith ? Proudly powered by WordPress. 2. Evening Prayer for today. EP.i. Evening Prayer Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. ⏤ Isaiah 1:18 The best remedy for a troubled heart is to focus on God’s unchanging character. ⏤ Charles Stanley O Lord, we bow before You in loving reverence. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/39/evening #taptapstudio #youdevotion.

BIBLE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS # 166

    Section 15- Admonitions and Warnings.

    CHAPTER 166, Debts.

    1. What general rule is laid down in the Bible respecting the meeting of obligations?

"Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom. Owe no man anything, but to love one another." Rom. 13:7,8.

    2. In what condition is one who borrows?

"The borrower is servant to the lender." Prov. 22:7.

    3. To what extent is one responsible for that borrowed?

"And if a man borrow aught of his neighbor, and it be hurt, or die, . . . he shall surely make it good." Ex. 22:14.

    4. Why did the young man in Elisha's time feel so bad about the loss of an ax head?

"But as one was felling a beam, the ax head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed." 2 Kings 6:5.

    5. What miracle was wrought by Elisha for its restoration?

"And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim." Verse 6.

NOTE.- From this we may learn God's willingness to help those who honestly seek to meet their obligations.

    6. How does the good man guide his affairs?

"A good man showeth favor, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion." Ps. 112:5.

    7. To what should those listen who lack business discretion?

"Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honored." Prov. 13:18.

NOTE.- It is wise for those who, from lack of natural business ability find themselves constantly running into debt, to seek advice and counsel from those endowed with more wisdom in such matters.

    8. Which of Christ's parables teaches business discretion?

"For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish." Luke 14:28-30.

    9. How were means provided for building the tabernacle?

"And Moses spake unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the Lord commanded, saying, Take ye from among you an offering unto the Lord: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the Lord; gold, and silver, and brass," etc. Ex. 35:4-9.

    10. What provision did David make for building the temple?

"I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God." 1 Chron. 29:2.

    11. How did the people respond to his call for contributions?

"Then the chief of the fathers and princes . . . offered willingly. . . . Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy." Verses 6-9.

    12. When King Jehoash wished to repair the temple, what provision did he make for raising the necessary means?

"And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the dedicated things that is brought into the house of the Lord, . . . and all the money that cometh into any man's heart to bring into the house of the Lord, let the priests take it to them, every man of his acquaintance: and let them repair the breaches of the house, wheresoever any breach shall be found." 2 Kings 12:4,5.

    13. When, after sixteen years, it was found that these repairs had not yet been made, what was done?

"Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one cometh into the house of the Lord: and the priests that kept the door put therein all the money that was brought into the house of the Lord." Verse 9.

    14. What was done with the money thus raised?

"They gave the money . . . into the hands of them that did the work, . . . and they laid it out to the carpenters and builders, that wrought upon the house of the Lord." Verse 11.

NOTES.- These examples furnish good lessons on financing gospel enterprises. In each instance, it will be noticed, the means were provided before the work of building was begun. No debt, therefore, was created. In all business transactions this plan is an excellent one to follow. "Debt! There is no worse demoralizer of character. The sad records of defaulting, embezzling, and dishonest failure which we meet with so constantly in the daily press are often, indeed most frequently, the result of the demoralization of debt, and the consequent desperate efforts of extraction. The financial props have given way. . . . Debt ruins as many households and destroys as many fine characters as rum; it is the devil's mortgage on the soul, and he is always ready to foreclose. Pay all your bills. Look every man in the face, conscious that you owe the world no more than it owes you. Be indebted for nothing but love, and even that be sure you pay in kind, and that payments are frequent."- Talmage.

"This running into debt is a great cause of dishonesty. . . . Young men are growing quite shameless about being in debt; and the immorality extends throughout society. Tastes are becoming more extravagant and luxurious, without the corresponding increase of means to enable them to be gratified. But they are gratified nevertheless; and debts are incurred, which afterwards weigh like a millstone round the neck. . . . The safest plan is to run up no bills, and never get into debt; and the next is if one does get into debt, to get out of it again as quickly as possible. A man in debt is not his own master: he is at the mercy of the tradesman he employs. . . . No man can be free who is in debt. The inevitable effect of debt is not only to injure personal independence, but, in the long run, to inflict moral degradation. The debtor is exposed to constant humiliations."- "Thrift," by Samuel Smiles, pages 243-247.

The following testimony on this subject is borne by a Chicago lady, who had been happily wedded for fifty years. "I know why John and I have been happy during these fifty years. In the first place, we have made it a rule never to go in debt. I have lived in Chicago sixty-eight years, and never during that time have I owed a person a cent I believe a good deal of unhappiness is caused by spending more than you make. It has been our policy to buy what we could well afford to have, and then stop."- Chicago Tribune, Aug. 24, 1902.

**PROPHETIC ALERT: PUT DOWN THE CUP OF DEATH!**

** THE POISON OF UNFORGIVENESS: WHY HOLDING A GRUDGE IS AKIN TO DRINKING HEMLOCK AT THE LORD'S TABLE **

I am writing this with a trembling spirit. The Holy Ghost has shown me a vision of the Bride of Christ, and she is sick. She is pale. She is weak. She is vomiting the promises of God instead of digesting them.

    **WHY?**
Because she is eating at the Table of the Lord while nursing a bottle of poison called **UNFORGIVENESS.**

**HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD:**
**You cannot drink the Cup of Grace and the Cup of Bitterness at the same time.**
I am sick and tired of seeing believers lifting holy hands in worship on Sunday while harboring a murderous grudge against their brother on Monday.
    **IT IS SPIRITUAL SCHIZOPHRENIA.**
It is absolute hypocrisy. And tonight, the Spirit of Elijah is here to confront the prophets of Baal in your own heart!

    ### 1. THE EXPOSITORY INDICTMENT: THE UNFORGIVING FORGIVEN

Let’s go to the courtroom of Heaven in **Matthew 18:23-35**.
A servant owed the King **10,000 talents** (billions of dollars—an unpayable debt). He begged for mercy. The King forgave him **ALL.**
That servant went out and found a fellow servant who owed him **100 denarii** (a few months' wages—a payable debt). He grabbed him by the throat and choked him.

    **YOU ARE THAT SERVANT.**
God forgave you for a lifetime of rebellion, filth, lust, pride, and blasphemy. He washed you in the priceless Blood of Jesus.
And yet, you are holding your spouse, your parent, your ex-friend, or your pastor by the throat over an offense that—compared to your sin against God—is mere pennies!

**The audacity of your grudge is an insult to the Cross.**
To say *"I cannot forgive them"* is to say *"Jesus’ blood was enough for me, but it’s not enough for them."*
    **YOU WICKED SERVANT!** (Matt 18:32)

    ### 2. THE THEOLOGY OF THE BLOCKED ARTERY

**Matthew 6:15**: *"But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."*

    Read that again. **SLOWLY.**
This is not legalism; this is spiritual hydraulics.
Forgiveness is a flow. It flows **FROM** God, **INTO** you, and **OUT** to others.
**If you block the OUTFLOW, you block the INFLOW.**

You are wondering why your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling? You are wondering why you have no peace? You are wondering why you feel spiritually constipated?
**BECAUSE YOU HAVE CLOGGED THE PIPE WITH BITTERNESS.**
You are crying out for fresh rain, but you have capped the well with a stone of offense!
God is not withholding from you; **YOU** have severed the connection by refusing to release the debt.

    ### 3. HEMLOCK AT THE HOLY TABLE

**1 Corinthians 11:27, 29**: *"Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord... For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself..."*

When you take Communion, you are celebrating the fact that God forgave you when you didn't deserve it.
If you take that cracker and juice while holding hatred in your heart, **YOU ARE EATING A LIE.**
    You are drinking judgment.
You are drinking hemlock (poison) and waiting for your enemy to die. But *they* are sleeping soundly while *you* are rotting from the inside out!

**Hebrews 12:15** warns of a *"root of bitterness"* that springs up and **DEFILES MANY.**
Unforgiveness is not a private sin. It is a radioactive isotope that poisons your marriage, your children, your ministry, and your destiny.

    ### 4. THE PROPHETIC REBUKE: GET OFF THE THRONE

**Romans 12:19**: *"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves... Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."*

When you hold a grudge, you are trying to sit in the Judge’s seat.
    **GET DOWN.**
You are too small for that chair. You do not know the whole story. You are not righteous enough to execute judgment.
By holding onto the offense, you are saying, *"God, You are too slow. You are too soft. I will handle this."*
    **THAT IS IDOLATRY.**
Let it go. Hand the gavel back to God. He knows how to deal with your enemies far better than your bitterness ever could.

    ### THE ALTAR CALL: VOMIT THE POISON
I am not asking you to "feel" like forgiving. Forgiveness is not a feeling; it is a **VERDICT.** It is a legal transaction in the spirit realm where you cancel the debt.

**THE SURGEON IS HERE. THE CANCER MUST COME OUT.**

    ** YOUR ACTION PLAN:**

    1. **NAME THE DEBTOR:** Stop saying "I'm fine." Who hurt you? Who betrayed you? Say their name before God.
    2. **CANCEL THE DEBT:** Pray this out loud: *"Lord, Benjamin Mwangi owes me for [the hurt]. They cannot pay. I choose to release them. I cancel the debt. I transfer the case to Your Supreme Court. I am no longer their Judge."*
    3. **BLESS THE CURSER:** This is the hard part. **Matthew 5:44** says "Pray for them." Ask God to save them, heal them, and deal with them.
    4. **REPEAT UNTIL YOU ARE FREE:** Every time the memory comes back, say: *"I paid that bill already. It is cancelled."*

    ** DECLARE IT:**
Type **"I RELEASE THE PRISONER"** in the comments. (Prophetic Note: The prisoner you are releasing is **YOU**).

** SHARE THIS WARNING.** The Body of Christ is dying of this poison. Be the antidote!

**TAG SOMEONE** who needs freedom from the past.
*Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the handcuffs of hate. OPEN THE LOCK.*

#DAILY LIGHT 🔥 **PROPHETIC ALERT: PUT DOWN THE CUP OF DEATH!** ☠️ **⚠️ THE POISON OF UNFORGIVENESS: WHY HOLDING A GRUDGE IS AKIN TO DRINKING HEMLOCK AT THE LORD'S TABLE ** I am writing this with a trembling spirit. The Holy Ghost has shown me a vision of the Bride of Christ, and she is sick. She is pale. She is weak. She is vomiting the promises of God instead of digesting them. **WHY?** Because she is eating at the Table of the Lord while nursing a bottle of poison called **UNFORGIVENESS.** **HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD:** **You cannot drink the Cup of Grace and the Cup of Bitterness at the same time.** I am sick and tired of seeing believers lifting holy hands in worship on Sunday while harboring a murderous grudge against their brother on Monday. **IT IS SPIRITUAL SCHIZOPHRENIA.** It is absolute hypocrisy. And tonight, the Spirit of Elijah is here to confront the prophets of Baal in your own heart! ### 1. THE EXPOSITORY INDICTMENT: THE UNFORGIVING FORGIVEN Let’s go to the courtroom of Heaven in **Matthew 18:23-35**. A servant owed the King **10,000 talents** (billions of dollars—an unpayable debt). He begged for mercy. The King forgave him **ALL.** That servant went out and found a fellow servant who owed him **100 denarii** (a few months' wages—a payable debt). He grabbed him by the throat and choked him. **YOU ARE THAT SERVANT.** God forgave you for a lifetime of rebellion, filth, lust, pride, and blasphemy. He washed you in the priceless Blood of Jesus. And yet, you are holding your spouse, your parent, your ex-friend, or your pastor by the throat over an offense that—compared to your sin against God—is mere pennies! **The audacity of your grudge is an insult to the Cross.** To say *"I cannot forgive them"* is to say *"Jesus’ blood was enough for me, but it’s not enough for them."* **YOU WICKED SERVANT!** (Matt 18:32) ### 2. THE THEOLOGY OF THE BLOCKED ARTERY **Matthew 6:15**: *"But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* Read that again. **SLOWLY.** This is not legalism; this is spiritual hydraulics. Forgiveness is a flow. It flows **FROM** God, **INTO** you, and **OUT** to others. **If you block the OUTFLOW, you block the INFLOW.** You are wondering why your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling? • Morning devotions with Charles Spurgeon scripture from Psalm no comment by me.

    Psalm 46:1 KJV
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Help that’s not available when we need it isn’t much help at all. An anchor left at home does no good for a sailor caught in a storm; money that once existed but is now gone can’t help the debtor when he’s in need. Most human help is like that—difficult to find when we need it, slow to arrive, and often unavailable when we reach for it again. But the Lord our God is different: He is present when we seek Him, present when we need Him, and present even after we’ve experienced His help.

He is not just present—He is very present. He is closer than the nearest friend because He is within us in our trouble. He is more present than we are to ourselves because we sometimes lose our presence of mind. He is always there, effectively, compassionately, and completely. If this is a difficult season for us right now, let’s rest in Him. He is our refuge, so let’s hide in Him. He is our strength, so let’s lean on Him. He is our help, so let’s trust in Him. He is our “very present help in trouble,” so let’s rely on Him now. We don’t need to worry or fear for even a moment, for “the Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.”

  • Hosea 4:7-11 NKJV

Hosea 4:7-11 "The more they increased, The more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.

They eat up the sin of My people; They set their heart on their iniquity.

And it shall be: like people, like priest. So I will punish them for their ways, And reward them for their deeds.

For they shall eat, but not have enough; They shall commit harlotry, but not increase; Because they have ceased obeying the LORD.

"Harlotry, wine, and new wine enslave the heart.

1 Samuel 2:27-30 Then a man of God came to Eli and said to him, "Thus says the LORD: ''Did I not clearly reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?

'Did I not choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer upon My altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before Me? And did I not give to the house of your father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire?

'Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel My people?

"Therefore the LORD God of Israel says: 'I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.' But now the LORD says; 'Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty and makes it waste, Distorts its surface And scatters abroad its inhabitants.

And it shall be: As with the people, so with the priest; As with the servant, so with his master; As with the maid, so with her mistress; As with the buyer, so with the seller; As with the lender, so with the borrower; As with the creditor, so with the debtor.

The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered, For the LORD has spoken this word.

Leviticus 26:14-35 'But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments,

and if you despise My statutes, or if you soul abhors My judgements, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,

I also will do this to you; I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.

'And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze.

And your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.

'Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins.

I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your highways shall be desolate.

'And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me,

then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

When I have cut off your supply of bread ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall bring back your bread by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.

'And after all this, if you do not obey Me but walk contrary to Me,

then I also will walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven time for your sins.

You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters.

I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars, and cast your carcasses on the lifeless forms of your idols; and My soul shall abhor you.

I will lay your cities waste and bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the fragrance of your sweet aromas.

I will bring the land to desolation, and your enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it.

I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste.

Then the land shall enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies' land; them the land shall rest and enjoy its sabbaths.

As long as it lies desolate it shall rest-- for the time it did not rest on your sabbaths when you dwelt in it.

Isaiah 5:8-12 Woe to those who join house to house; They add field to field, Till there is no place Where they may dwell alone in the midst of the land!

In my hearing the LORD of hosts said, "Truly, many houses shall be desolate, Great and beautiful ones, without inhabitant.

For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, And a homer of seed shall yield one ephah."

Woe to those who rise early in the morning, That they may follow intoxicating drink; Who continue until night, till wine inflames them!

The harp and the strings, The tambourine and flute, and wine are in their feasts; But they do not regard the work of the LORD, Nor consider the operation of His hands.

Jesus Redefines What It Means to Be Rich.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:34

For the individual who believed that his giving was strictly a private matter—only between God and himself, a lot of what Jesus said when He was here on Earth must have been quite disturbing. Author Randy Alcorn says that about 15% of everything that Jesus said has to do with your possessions and what you do with them. So why was what Jesus said so disconcerting to people? Repeatedly he urged people—not to give money to Him personally—but rather to give to the poor and needy, and thereby have treasure in heaven.

Consider some of these statements: To the man identified only as a rich young ruler he said, “One thing you lack …. Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven” (Mark 10:21). Forget investing wisely so you could give more later, or setting aside enough that you could endow the local college. Jesus taught there was a connection between giving away what you have and having treasure in heaven.

Or what of the time Jesus observed the poor widow who put two small copper coins in the temple offering box? “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all of them”—meaning the steady flow of individuals who contributed, expecting praise for their generosity.

On another occasion, He talked about a man—apparently, a good businessman—who tore down his barns to build bigger ones. Then Jesus spoke of him as a fool because he didn’t realize what he accrued stayed behind when he died, leaving him spiritually impoverished.

Jesus taught that the more you give away, the more you have in the currency of heaven, which can never be taken from you. With very unworldly wisdom he said the more you give, the larger will be the shovel or the measure of what God gives back to you, because God is debtor to no one. Here’s the text: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (Luke 6:38). “Jesus was speaking metaphorically,” so says the person who has never experienced the strange mathematics of turning loose of that which has the greatest grip on your life—your wealth.

On another occasion, Jesus spoke warmly and intimately to the disciples. He said, “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys” (Luke 12:32-33).

Speaking of the flock and the kingdom in the same sentence mixes metaphors, but He whose mission was to show lost sheep how to get back to the Father’s kingdom could well speak of both. The flock, of course, was a picture of sheep in need of a shepherd, and He asserted He was the Good Shepherd who knows the voice of His sheep. And the kingdom, of course, implied that there is a King who can give the subjects of the Kingdom whatever He chooses; but there is a connection between turning loose of what most people cherish the most here—your wealth and your security—to be rich in joy and blessing in the Father’s kingdom.

Your attitude towards money tells a great deal about your true wealth—not the stocks and bonds you have, or the bottom line of a financial statement, but whether or not you are free to give sacrificially and generously that you may indeed be rich in God’s kingdom—in His time, and His place. Strange math, friend, but that’s how it works.
