    Because Your Conscience Needs Cleansing

Bible Verse — Hebrews 9:14 (KJV)
“How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

“You can silence people, but you cannot permanently silence a guilty conscience.”

    Quote:
“Jesus doesn't just change your behavior; He cleanses the place where your guilt lives.”

    “WHO GOD SAYS I AM”
    I AM NOT CONDEMNED
    Romans 8:1 (LLV) —
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
    Sometimes
    we are better
    at remembering
    our failures
    than remembering
    God's grace.
    We confess
    our sin.
    We ask
    for forgiveness.
    We believe
    Christ paid
    the price.
    And yet,
    somewhere
    inside,
    we continue
    to pronounce
    ourselves
    guilty.
    We replay
    the moment.
    We hear
    the accusation.
    We wonder
    how God
    could possibly
    look at us
    the same way
    again.
    Then Paul
    gives us
    one of Scripture's
    great declarations
    of freedom:
    “There is
    now
    no condemnation.”
    Not less
    condemnation.
    Not condemnation
    held back
    until our next
    failure.
    No
    condemnation.
    Why?
    Not because
    we have
    no sin.
    Not because
    our failures
    do not matter.
    But because
    we are
    “in Christ Jesus.”
    Jesus
    has already
    stood
    in our place.
    The judgment
    our sin deserved
    fell upon Him.
    The price
    has been paid.
    Yesterday,
    we called it
    redemption.
    Today,
    we discover
    what redemption
    means
    for the redeemed.
    We are
    free
    from condemnation.
    There is
    an important difference
    between conviction
    and condemnation.
    The Holy Spirit
    convicts us
    when we sin.
    Conviction says,
    “This is wrong.
    Come back
    to God.”
    Condemnation says,
    “You are wrong.
    There is no way
    back.”
    One leads us
    toward
    our Father.
    The other
    drives us
    away from Him.
    God corrects
    His children,
    but He does not
    cast away
    those who belong
    to Christ.
    So when
    an old failure
    returns
    to accuse us,
    we do not
    have to argue
    our innocence.
    We simply
    remember
    where we stand.
    In Christ.
    Forgiven.
    Redeemed.
    No longer
    condemned.
A new beginning does not deny yesterday's sin; it trusts what Christ has done with it:
there is now no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus.
Reflection: Am I still condemning myself for something God has already forgiven, instead of accepting the freedom Christ purchased for me?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that my standing before You rests upon Christ and not upon my own perfection. When memories of past failures accuse me, remind me of what You have declared: there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Convict me when I wander, correct me when I need it, but help me never confuse Your loving correction with condemnation. Teach me to walk in the freedom Christ purchased for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • Colossians 2:13-14 NASB
"And when you were dead in your wrongdoings and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our wrongdoings, [14] having 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 the 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 of debt 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 against us, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀; and He has taken it out of the way, having 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 it to the cross."

We believers were spiritually dead in sin and guilty of wrongdoings too, but Jesus washed that all away and made us spiritually alive! That born again spiritual life is "eternal life." We will never be judged again for our sins, because even the "𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲" "𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀" "𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀" has been "𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱" and "𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱" to the cross.

What is this certificate consisting of decrees that are hostile to us?

    Ephesians 2:15-16 NASB
"by abolishing in His flesh the hostility, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄 composed of commandments expressed in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two one new person, in this way establishing peace; [16] and that He might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the hostility."

Notice the answer. The thing hostile to us consisting of decrees, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, is the law. It is NOT the ordinances themselves. It is the 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀.

The Amplified Bible puts it this way.

    Ephesians 2:14-15 AMPC
"For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us, [15] By abolishing in His [own crucified] flesh the enmity [caused by] 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 [which He annulled]; that He from the two might create in Himself one new man [one new quality of humanity out of the two], so making peace."

How can the commandments be "𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲" to us? Because to be subject to them, to be under them, we are held accountable to our performance at obeying them. If we disobey, if we break them, which we do, which we did, we were guilty of sin, and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

The good news is that we are no longer under the law. We are under grace (Romans 6:14). How's that possible? Because, for the believer, the law has been "𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱," so we are no longer accountable to it. We are dead to it (Romans 7:4). We have been reborn as a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are born again, and we have eternal life.

  • REPENT NOW — Life Is Uncertain
A solemn Christian sermon with prayer

“Prepare to meet your God.” — Amos 4:12

The world often imagines death as the Grim Reaper—a dark figure carrying a scythe. That image is a powerful symbol in art and literature, but the Bible points us to a deeper truth: our lives are fragile, and none of us knows the day or hour when our earthly life will end.

This is not meant to produce panic. It is meant to awaken the heart.

    Tomorrow is not promised

Every sunrise is a gift from God. We make plans for next week, next year, and retirement, yet Scripture reminds us how brief life truly is.

“Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” — James 4:14

If your heart is far from Christ, do not delay repentance. If there is unforgiveness, confess it. If there is hidden sin, bring it into the light. If you have wandered from the Lord, come home today.

Jesus is the Savior, not the destroyer

God does not delight in the death of the wicked. His desire is that people turn and live.

“The Lord is… patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” — 2 Peter 3:9

The Cross stands as Heaven's invitation. Jesus stretched out His hands so that guilty sinners could become forgiven children of God. No sin is too great for His mercy when it is met with genuine repentance and faith.

    What is true repentance?

Repentance is more than feeling sorry. It is a change of heart that leads to a change of direction.

    Turn from sin.

    Turn toward Jesus Christ.

    Confess Him as Lord.

Walk daily in obedience through the power of the Holy Spirit.

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out.” — Acts 3:19

    A Prayer of Urgent Repentance

    Heavenly Father,

I come before You with humility and reverence. I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. I cannot save myself.

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe You died on the Cross for my sins and rose again in victory. Have mercy upon me. Wash me in Your precious blood and make me a new creation.

Holy Spirit, break every chain of sin. Remove my hardened heart and give me a heart that loves righteousness. Help me forgive others, walk in holiness, and live each day ready to meet my King.

Teach me to number my days, that I may gain a heart of wisdom. Let my life glorify Jesus until my final breath.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

    The Call

“Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” — Hebrews 3:15

Do not wait for a better season. Do not assume tomorrow belongs to you.

Repent today. Believe the Gospel today. Follow Jesus today.

For Christ is ready to forgive all who come to Him with a sincere and repentant heart.

BE READY TO DIE ANY TIME, WE LIVE MINUTE BY MINUTE. BE EVER READY TO MEET GOD! 2 CHOICES, JESUS EQUALS HEAVEN. REJECTION OF JESUS EQUALS ETERNAL DAMNATION
BE READY TO DIE AT ANY TIME
We Live Minute by Minute — Be Ever Ready to Meet God

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12

Every heartbeat is a gift. Every breath is sustained by the mercy of God. None of us knows whether we have fifty years remaining—or five minutes. The Bible calls us not to live in terror, but in readiness.

    Jesus repeatedly urged His disciples:

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” — Matthew 25:13

    The Two Eternal Choices

According to the Christian Gospel, every person must respond to Jesus Christ.

    Jesus Christ

    The Way to Eternal Life

    John 14:6 • John 3:16

    Repent. Believe. Follow Him.

Forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and the hope of eternal life through Christ alone.

    Reject Christ

    Remain Separated from God

    John 3:18 • Revelation 20:15

    The warning is real.

The New Testament warns that rejecting God's offer of salvation has eternal consequences.

    Don't Wait Until Tomorrow

The greatest deception is believing there will always be another opportunity.

    The healthy can die suddenly.

The wealthy cannot buy one more heartbeat.

The young are not guaranteed old age.

    Death respects no calendar.

“Now is the day of salvation.” — 2 Corinthians 6:2

God is not trying to frighten you away from Him. He is calling you toward Him. His warnings flow from His love, and His invitation remains open today.

    Jesus Is the Only Savior

    Jesus declared:

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” — John 14:6

    The apostles proclaimed:

“There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12

Our good works cannot erase our sins. Religion cannot save us. Only the crucified and risen Son of God can reconcile us to the Father.

A Prayer: Ready to Meet God

    Heavenly Father,

I acknowledge that my life is in Your hands. I confess that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself.

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I repent of my sin and turn to You. Be my Lord, my Savior, and my King. Wash me in Your precious blood. Fill me with the Holy Spirit, and teach me to live in holiness, love, and obedience.

Help me to be ready—not living in fear, but living in faithful expectation of seeing You face to face. Let every day of my life bring glory to Your name.

    In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

    The Final Appeal

“Choose this day whom you will serve.” — Joshua 24:15

Life is brief. Eternity is forever.

Choose Jesus Christ. Walk with Him. Be ready to meet God.

    Unmerited Favor.

By José Medina August 13th, 2026

I have to work at four. Had a wonderful time with my fiancé at her dad’s, but now I’m running late. I wonder what she’s doing right now. Uh oh, I better speed up to get to work on time. Oh no, a cop! I’ll just get in front of this car, then… oh no! He’s pulling me over! I can’t afford a ticket or higher insurance prices! Dear Lord, please let the cop pass me by….

But he didn’t. He pulled me over and asked for my license and proof of insurance.

Then he came back, and instead of giving me the ticket I deserved, he gave me grace instead, along with a warning to slow down!

That’s what grace is all about. Just like the police officer forgave me for breaking the law, Jesus wants to cover me with His grace and forgive my sins!

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9.

We are guilty of our sins and deserve to die, “For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23). “But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift” (Ephesians 4:7). As we confess our sins to the Lord, we receive His forgiveness. Therefore, even though we are guilty, through Jesus’ grace, we receive something we do not deserve, for “…the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

  • Daily Bible Lesson.
“BEHOLD THE MAN!” THE INNOCENT SAVIOUR REJECTED FOR A CRIMINAL.

    Key Text: John 19:5
“Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!”

This is one of the most heartbreaking scenes in the Bible. Pilate hoped that after seeing Jesus bruised, bleeding, and humiliated, the crowd would show mercy. Instead, they hardened their hearts and demanded His death.

① PILATE TRIED TO SAVE JESUS THROUGH COMPROMISE
Pilate ordered Jesus to be scourged and mocked.
    Not because He was guilty...
But because he hoped the cruel punishment would satisfy the angry crowd.
    Pilate thought:
    The people would pity Jesus.
The priests would finally be satisfied.
An innocent Man could be released.
    But compromise never satisfies evil.

② THE ENEMIES OF CHRIST SAW PILATE'S WEAKNESS
    The religious leaders quickly realized:
    Pilate was afraid.
    He wanted to avoid conflict.
He lacked the courage to do what was right.
    Their determination only grew stronger.
Every compromise gave them greater confidence to demand Christ's death.

    ③ “BEHOLD THE MAN!”
Pilate presented Jesus before the multitude and declared:
    John 19:5
    “Behold the man!”
    Again he testified:
    John 19:4
“I find no fault in Him.”
    Standing before the crowd was:
    The Son of God.
    Wearing a crown of thorns.
His back torn by cruel scourging.
    His face covered with blood.
    Yet His expression revealed:
    Gentleness.
    Patience.
    Dignity.
Compassion for those who hated Him.
Even in suffering, Jesus displayed perfect love.

④ THE GREAT CONTRAST: JESUS OR BARABBAS
    Beside Jesus stood Barabbas.
    A hardened criminal.
    A rebel.
    A murderer.
The contrast could not have been clearer.
    Jesus—the innocent Prince of Peace.
    Barabbas—the guilty lawbreaker.
Yet the crowd chose the criminal...
...and rejected the spotless Lamb of God.

    ⑤ SOME HEARTS WERE TOUCHED
    Not everyone remained unmoved.
    Many spectators wept.
Their hearts were filled with sympathy.
Even the priests and rulers felt conviction deep within.
They knew Jesus truly was who He claimed to be.
But conviction without surrender leads to tragedy.

⑥ THE CHOICE STILL STANDS TODAY
    Every person must choose:
    Christ or the world?
    Truth or compromise?
    Obedience or rebellion?
    Eternal life or eternal loss?
    The crowd chose Barabbas.
    What will you choose?
    Joshua 24:15
“Choose you this day whom ye will serve.”

    LESSONS FOR US TODAY
Never reject Christ for the pleasures of this world.
Do not silence conviction when the Holy Spirit speaks.
Stand for truth even when the majority chooses otherwise.
Jesus willingly suffered so that we might receive eternal life.
    Isaiah 53:5
“But He was wounded for our transgressions... and with His stripes we are healed.”

    PRAYER
Lord Jesus, thank You for enduring shame, suffering, and rejection to save me. Help me never to choose the world over You. Give me the courage to stand with You, even when others turn away. May my life always declare that I have chosen Christ above everything else. In Your precious name, Amen.

Once you are saved, can you ever lose your salvation? Pt. 1

    August 13th, 2026

There are many examples in the Bible of people who had a saving relationship with God and were filled with the Spirit, but then they turned away … such as King Saul and Judas. Jesus will never let go of us, but we can let go of Him. We always have that freedom.

The concept that once you are saved you can never be lost is unbiblical. People sometimes turn from God after following Him for a time. Peter puts it like this: “But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: ‘A dog returns to his own vomit,’ and, ‘a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire’ ” (2 Peter 2:22).

On the other extreme, some people believe that you need to walk every day in doubt of your relationship with the Lord. Yet the Bible is clear that we can walk in assurance. Paul writes, “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6). Another verse says, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2).

According to the Bible, the notion that once a person is saved he cannot be lost is just not true. One of the clearest verses in Scripture states:

“When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die” (Ezekiel 18:24).

In other words, a person who was righteous can turn away from God and be lost. If a person is saved and cannot lose his salvation, why would he need to “hold fast” and not waver according to Hebrews 10:23? Because God has given people the freedom of choice.

    Key Bible Texts
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (Hebrews 10:23 KJV)

  • Dear Father,

Sometimes I wonder about the ordeal with Potiphar’s wife, where Joseph experienced a quick transition from being trusted by his master to becoming the offender, with evidence that seemed impossible to deny, even though the accusation was false. The Scripture says, “She said unto her husband, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in to mock me: as I lifted up my voice and cried, he left his garment with me, and fled out.”

How would he defend himself to a man against his own wife? How strange would it feel to say, “I am the servant, but you can trust me, not your wife”? And so, Joseph was thrown into prison. Innocent, yet factually guilty. I wonder how many have found themselves in such situations, where there seems to be more evidence to prove their guilt than there is to prove their innocence.

Sometimes, it may not be something as grave as an accusation of sexual assault or prison sentence, but something else with just as much tension: a wrong judgment or perception of us, false accusations, with evidence in our defense that does not stand a chance of being presented. To be considered innocent a person must prove himself not guilty. And so, we strive with intention to correct the perceptions of loved ones: “There is more to this than you realize,” yet without sufficient evidence.

But Joseph walked right into prison. Perhaps he knew that some perceptions are not ours to correct, but Yours. And some accusations are not nullified by immediate evidence that contradicts them, but evidence that is solidified through process and time.

  • Matthew 19:1-12

Remember that every time the Pharisees test Jesus with a question, it wasn't because they wanted the answer, it was to test Him. So the question they ask is purposely a binary choice. A question with intentionally so, only two possible answers, yes or No.

In Jesus’ day there were two schools of thought on the subject of divorce. The liberal school taught that divorce was permitted if your wife burned breakfast. Yeah, literally that's in the language of the scholarly books. The conservative school taught that divorce was not permitted, at all in any way but only permitted in cases where the spouse was unfaithful, so it was two extremes on opposite ends.

So the Jews test Him, because either answer isolates half of the population. So Jesus answers the fundamental issue under the question will God allow divorce? And Jesus's answer is very firm, at marriage, two bodies are joined into one flesh. And God considers the marriage indelible, permanent from the beginning.

The truth is no, God doesn't want divorce for his people. God never intended divorce to exist. He allowed it to exist because of the hardness of the hearts of the people.
However this does not say that an abused spouse must stay in such a relationship because to divorce would be a sin. It does not suggest anything close to that. If a spouse or child is being abused for that there is no good excuse.

But Moses gave the Israelites an out. If your husband is unfaithful, a divorce frees the wife to remarry. And vice versa with the wife being unfaithful. Remember too that in cases where someone commits adultery there is likely a death penalty coming. So a divorce may not be called for simply because the guilty party is taking a dirt nap after being rocked to sleep.

How serious is Jesus's advice? He's telling the men that the question of marriage being permanent is truth and as God intended. So they say,

“If the relationship of the man with his wife is like this, it is better not to marry.”

And they were right. Then Jesus contemplates eunuchs. Eunuchs were men who were so dedicated to God that they had their sexual organs removed, and anesthesia had not been invented yet. And please understand that Jesus isn't advocating for sexual organs being removed He is saying, “men, if you can't resist the urge to commit adultery, you're better off not having it.”

In other words, get a grip on yourself if you can't resist temptation, learn to control yourself as a single or as a married man.

And yes, there are some people who God gifted with the talent and personality to remain single. Sadly, sometimes those people marry anyway in defiance of God's plans. And the beginning of trouble in their life occurs when they realize their mistakes.

There are others who feel they are on the opposite end of that position, people who feel incomplete or lost if they aren't in a relationship. These people hop from partner to partner looking for the “one“ but never actually finding them.

Then you have the partners that are never satisfied with their partner. Nothing is ever enough for them. Wives who would sacrifice their family for their own happiness while their man will sacrifice his happiness for his family. This seems to be a trend of modern women for whom the end goal in life is their happiness. Jesus Is saying that divorce is a horrible thing that was never supposed to exist. That for some it is better to castrate themselves than to marry.

It should serve as a reminder that the decision to marry should not be taken lightly.

[1] When Jesus had finished these words, He left Galilee and came into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan; [2] and large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there. [3] Some Pharisees came to Jesus, testing Him and asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason at all?” [4] And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, [5] and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? [6] So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no person is to separate.” [7] They *said to Him, “Why, then, did Moses command to give her a certificate of divorce and send her away?” [8] He *said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way. [9] And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.” [10] The disciples *said to Him, “If the relationship of the man with his wife is like this, it is better not to marry.” [11] But He said to them, “Not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it has been given. [12] For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by people; and there are also eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who is able to accept this, let him accept it.”
