• Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Yesterday was a long day of mowing. Little things created hiccups, so it took me a lot longer to get my yard done than normal. With that, the hiccups created a negative field that set me off for no reason; however, those incidents were like the old-fashioned firecrackers … they blew and they were done … that was my temper yesterday … I would blow up and then I was done with whatever set me off. Then the next hiccup … the next … and so on. That being said, my day ended with a wonderful prayer meeting, a solid object lesson, and a good movie before bed. I slept like a baby.

My retirement is absolutely official; my first retirement check will be in my bank tomorrow. Through this last month, God has shown me how to manage through trust and faith. When I decided to leave early, I was not sure what we were going to do; however, I never stayed on that doubting lily pad. I hopped around the pond as if very little had changed … and you know what … God provided for our every need.

Today is a little bit slower in the start; no doctor appointments, no yard to mow, just a bit of housework to kick start my day, a little writing, and then I will need to go to town to take Mom to the store and to the doctor. We will close our day/evening with our prayer group, and who knows, maybe another very satisfying movie.

Insurance totaled my little blue shuttle pod. The damage done, the cost of repairing it, outweighed what the car was worth on the market. I laugh because it was a busted window and dented door … however, it is a 2014 with 266+k miles. I told them when I bought it I would drive it til the wheels fell off. I was close; the window went away, haha. We will be buying it back and selling it. I already have three buyers lined up. It is awesome how God works.

I have loaded you with a lot of positives in my life over the last few days; I would love to hear of some of yours. One of the things the enemy likes to do is plant worrisome thoughts that we don’t matter and that no one cares. I pray that I have not created an environment like that here. Share with me some of your positives and let the whole page rejoice with you and your blessings. Also, if you need prayer, I would encourage you to share that as well. Where two or more are gathered, He is there. The page has nearly 200 followers; that is more than 2. I promise, He is here.

Today is a new day. Today is a beautiful day. Today is a blessed day. See His face in all your travels and encounters.

    Be blessed.

**What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all -how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. – Romans 8:31-33

  • What Sabbath Is (and Isn’t)

Sabbath isn't merely about relaxing or indulging in leisure. It is sacred space in time set apart for God—to delight in His creation, His people, and His presence.

    Sabbath is:
    • A time to cease from work
    • A day of worship and joy
    • A practice of trusting God with what’s unfinished
    • A declaration that God, not us, is in control

    Sabbath is not:
    • A reward for being productive
    • A day to catch up on errands or housework
    • Legalistic or burdensome
    • Optional for those who follow God

In Mark 2:27, Jesus reminds us:

Here’s a Story of Real Faith You’ve Missed.

On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark. Genesis 7:13

If you’re good at riddles, see if you can unravel this one. At one time I was undisputedly one of the four most beautiful women in the world. I was the mother of four sons, the wife of one of the most assailed yet important men in the world. History has ignored my name, the date of my birth and death, and my family background, Yet my husband was quoted by Moses and Ezekiel in the Old Testament and by both Peter and Christ and Peter in the New.

So you think you know her name? OK, one more clue. Whether you are Filipino, Chinese, Hispanic, Caucasian, or an Eskimo with a mixed bloodline, you are a direct offspring of this woman. No, not Eve, the wife of Adam. Actually, the woman who is the subject of the riddle is identified in the Bible only as the wife of Noah. If ever a woman’s true value and worth were underrated, ‘I think it was this woman.

We learn a lot about her, but the way she related to her husband, her three sons and their wives, and the way she handled the stress when her world was coming apart. Now, in the event you aren’t familiar with what she faced, I’ll give you a thumbnail historical sketch.

The record says she lived in a time of unprecedented moral corruption and violence. That’s a tough environment in which to raise a family. Her husband was maligned and hated about as much as anyone alive. Reading between the lines, we can assume that on more than one occasion she wiped tears from the eyes of her boys as they grew up, the result of being picked on by bullies who made fun of their preacher -dad who had built this huge, barren ark sort of structure designed to float on the surface of a vast ocean.

She also had to deal with the discouragement which surely confronted her husband when no one responded to his pleading with the crowd to turn from their wickedness and throw themselves on the mercies of God.

For lack of a better term, we’ll call her Mrs. Noah, And she was a tough little lady who had to cope with the reality that when she set foot on the ark, the one her husband and their boys had built, that she was walking away from her home, her friends, the local market, and her neighborhood. Yet there’s no indication that she argued against the move, or complained as to what she couldn’t pack and take with her.

Frankly, there are a lot of Mrs. Noahs alive today—the unknown, unnamed heroes who pack lunches, put band-aids on scraped knees, bolster their husband’s egos when they’re ready to throw in the towel and quit, and keep a home together, often holding down an outside job themselves.

Automation, said someone, is watching TV while the housework gets done, the lunch is packed, the laundry done and the dinner fixed. When we were kids we called it “mother.”

Moses described Mrs. Noah’s husband as a righteous man who walked with the Lord. I’m confident the same thing could have been written of his wife who walked by his side.

Marriage as God intends it is a partnership with both individuals maintaining their own personalities and uniqueness, yet working together, functioning as one. Yes, I’m aware that history usually notes the accomplishments of men, often ignoring the wives and mothers who enabled them to excel. It was true of Mrs. Noah still true today; Nonetheless, when you succeed as a mother, your children will bear your imprint and someday will rise up and bless you blessed, and when you stand in the presence of God I suspect that you will hear Him say, “Good job!” We already know that, and so does God, our Heavenly Father.

    The Power of Prayer.

    By Tatiana Miranyuk

    March 19th, 2026

Growing up in Russia, my father worked on a collective farm while my mom took care of nine children. She believed in God, read the Bible, and was very calm, quiet, and kind. But for some reason, she never taught us about Him.

However, I was fascinated with God, and when I was nine, I began walking to the nearest Orthodox church, over four miles away because I loved to listen to the choir. As I noticed the changing seasons, the sunrises, and sunsets, I couldn't believe Darwin's theory of evolution. Instead, I longed to learn more about my Creator.

My mother got cancer when I was 13 and was bedridden for two years. Since I was the oldest child at home, I did all the housework and looked after her. But when she died, my father remarried, and I had to learn to get along with an angry stepmother.

I graduated from college in the city of Gorky (now called Nizhny Novgorod) and began working as a children's massage therapist. I got married, and a few years later, we had a daughter. A few years later, I was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, a malignant disease of the thymus gland. My eyesight and health deteriorated, and I had constant bouts of dizziness and muscle weakness. I began to faint almost every day, and since I knew this disease couldn't be cured through medicine, I turned to God for help.

At the time, the Soviet government was working to restructure its economic and political policies, and many philosophical and spiritual books appeared. I read them, took psychic courses, and explored the teachings of various spiritualists. Still, I never found peace of mind because most of their theories were illogical, incomplete, or just plain incomprehensible.

Finally, in 1992, I began attending Pastor John Carter's evangelistic meetings in Nizhny Novgorod, and after the fourth day, I realized I'd found my new church! I studied the Bible with other believers and was delighted to sing in the church choir!

As my health got worse, I'd begun working part-time and then quit working altogether. I was preparing for death and decided to surrender my fading life into God's hands. Placing my hope in Him, I read my Bible and waited to see if He would heal me. Once, while praying, God spoke to me, saying, You should go to a prayer meeting. I went, and although I was weak, I did not pray for myself but for others who might be worse off. To my surprise, I received physical and spiritual strength, myself! At the most difficult moment in my life, I trusted God and was not disappointed.

Before all this, my husband and I were getting by on very meager means. We lived with his parents, ate poor food, and our relationship suffered. Everything had collapsed before my eyes—my body, my marriage, my life. But I believed God would help me, and when I began praying for others, everything changed. The Lord continues to give me strength, and now I feel like a completely healthy person! My husband got a job in construction, and out of gratitude, we began to thank God and even donate money for His work. Today, my husband is the CEO of his firm, we bought a car, and we're building a two-story cottage outside the city. Our family relationships have improved, and my husband believes in God and sometimes comes to church with me. Our daughter sings in the church choir and is preparing for baptism, too!

God asks, "Is there anything difficult for Me?" and then answers that question through the lives of every true believer. Today, I'm the leader of our church prayer department, and it's become my life's work. Prayer fills my heart with strength each day, and I'm convinced that many Christians suffer from a lack of prayer.

My prayer for you, dear friend, is that you communicate with God so He can fill your life with light, and peace, and hope!

  • From; Ellen G.White
    Selected Messages Book 2

    The female form should not be compressed in the least with corsets and whale bones. The dress should be perfectly easy that the lungs and heart may have healthy action. The dress should reach somewhat below the top of the boot; but should be short enough to clear the filth of the sidewalk and street, without being raised by the hand. A still shorter dress than this would be proper, convenient, and healthful for females, when doing their housework, and especially, for those women who are obliged to perform more or less out-of-door labor. With this style of dress, one light skirt, or, at most two, are all that is necessary, and these should be buttoned on to a waist, or suspended with straps. The hips were not formed to bear heavy weights. The heavy skirts worn by females, their weight dragging down upon the hips, have been the cause of various diseases, which are not easily cured, because the sufferers seem to be ignorant of the cause which has produced them, and they continue to violate the laws of their being by girding the waists and wearing heavy skirts, until they are made life-long invalids. Many will immediately exclaim, “Why such a style of dress would be old-fashioned!” What if it is? I wish we could be old-fashioned in many respects. If we could have the old-fashioned strength that characterized the old-fashioned women of past generations it would be very desirable. I do not speak unadvisedly when I say that the way in which women clothe themselves, together with their indulgence of appetite, is the greatest causes of their present feeble diseased condition. There is but one woman in a thousand who clothes her limbs as she should. Whatever may be the length of the dress, females should clothe their limbs as thoroughly as the males. This may be done by wearing lined pants gathered into a band and fastened about the ankle, or made full and tapering at the bottom; and these should come down long enough to meet the shoe. The limbs and ankles thus clothed are protected against a current of air. If the limbs and feet are kept comfortable with warm clothing, the circulation will be equalized, and the blood will remain healthy and pure, because it is not chilled or hindered in its natural passage through the system.—How to Live, No. 6, pp. 57-64. {2SM 478.3}

    The attention of the reader is called to the fact that while Mrs. White ever kept before the church the importance of attire that was healthful, modest, economical, and in conformity with Christian simplicity, she recognized also that within the bounds of these principles the dress should be that which is “appropriate for this age.” In 1897, when certain Seventh-day Adventist women questioned whether, in loyalty to the Spirit of prophecy counsels, they should return to the particular style adopted in the 1860s, she counseled that “no one precise style” had been given her “as the exact rule to guide all in their dress.” She wrote: “the Lord has not indicated that it is the duty of our sisters to go back to the reform dress.” Her statement, setting forth the reasons for her position, appears in full as an appendix in D. E. Robinson’s The Story of Our Health Message, 112-130, 166-169, 427-431 1965 edition,.—Compilers. {2SM 479.1}

  • Well-regulated Work Aids All-around Development, August 8
For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned. Hebrews 6:7, 8, NKJV. BLJ 234.1
The youth need to be taught that life means earnest work, responsibility, caretaking. They need a training that will make them practical—men and women who can cope with emergencies. They should be taught that the discipline of systematic, well-regulated labor is essential, not only as a safeguard against the vicissitudes of life, but as an aid to all-around development. BLJ 234.2
Notwithstanding all that has been said and written concerning the dignity of labor, the feeling prevails that it is degrading. Young men are anxious to become teachers, clerks, merchants, physicians, lawyers, or to occupy some other position that does not require physical toil. Young women shun housework and seek an education in other lines. These need to learn that no man or woman is degraded by honest toil. That which degrades is idleness and selfish dependence. Idleness fosters self-indulgence, and the result is a life empty and barren—a field inviting the growth of every evil.... BLJ 234.3
Since both men and women have a part in homemaking, boys as well as girls should gain a knowledge of household duties.... Let the children and youth learn from the Bible how God has honored the work of the everyday toiler. BLJ 234.4
Let them read of “the sons of the prophets” (2 Kings 6:1-7), students at school, who were building a house for themselves, and for whom a miracle was wrought to save from loss the ax that was borrowed. Let them read of Jesus the carpenter, and Paul the tentmaker, who with the toil of the craftsman linked the highest ministry, human and divine. Let them read of the lad whose five loaves were used by the Savior in that wonderful miracle for the feeding of the multitude; of Dorcas the seamstress, called back from death, that she might continue to make garments for the poor; of the wise woman described in the Proverbs, who “seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands”; who “looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness” (Proverbs 31:13, 27).—Education, 215-217. BLJ 234.3 Since both men and women have a part in homemaking, boys as well as girls should gain a knowledge of household duties.... Let the children and youth learn from the Bible how God has honored the work of the everyday toiler. BLJ 234.4 Let them read of “the sons of the prophets” (2 Kings 6:1-7), students at school, who were building a house for themselves, and for whom a miracle was wrought to save from loss the ax that was borrowed.
