• Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

    Yesterday’s positives:

    Bible Study in the morning
Beautiful day … sun shining, temp not terrible
Construction cleared up on the way to the doctor
New automatic loan payment happened w/o issue
    Tried new restaurant
Two extensive talks with good friends
    Quality time with my husband

Seven, off the top of my head. Notice that none of them were ‘profoundly’ huge, as in a financial windfall or long-lost relative/friend arriving. There was no epiphany for a miracle cure. Where those things are wonderful, they are not required to see the positives. What are your positives today?

    Be blessed.

** Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.—Romans 5:1-5

3 Guidelines to Connecting with God When You Pray

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16

One of the great but seldom used sources of power for God’s children is that of prayer. It isn’t that we don’t believe in prayer or applaud those who do pray; it’s that we seldom are convinced that it will work for us. When we are in grave danger, we pray, thinking, “What do I have to lose?” Like putting a coin in a slot machine which might bring a big windfall, prayer, you think, might give you God’s jackpot.

There are three simple guidelines which can help you connect with God when you pray. Guideline #1: Pray with expectancy. Perhaps you’re asking, “Well, why should I expect anything from God?” Simply put, the answer is because you are His child. God doesn’t answer prayer because you are good; He answers prayer because He is good and He has adopted you into His family. That means you can come to Him as a little child and cry out, “Father, I’ve got a need, a big problem. I need your help now!”

On one occasion a young man came to Charles Spurgeon, the gifted British pastor, and said, “Mr. Spurgeon, when I pray, nothing happens!” “Do you expect anything to happen?” he asked. “No,” replied the man. “There’s your problem,” he said. It may be your problem as well.

The Bible says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14). Literally hundreds of times the Bible explains what is God’s will, so knowing that God has already indicated His pleasure, helps you to pray with confidence and expectancy!

Guideline #2: Pray with faith. This guideline has everything to do with whether or not you believe God will do what He has said He will do. It’s just that simple. Do you trust God to keep His word? Well, for a moment, put this question in the context of doing business with someone today. You call and place an order, so do you expect the merchant to respond in good faith? Some can be trusted; some cannot. But when you trust someone, his word is all that you need. You believe what he or she is telling you.

God has made specific promises to His children, and when you ask Him to do something and you go to His Word saying, “Here, Father, this is what you said you would do, I’m asking you to do what you said you would,” you are then praying in faith. Faith is the confident expectation that God will honor the promises of His Word. Now, a note of caution before I give you the final guidelines. Don’t lift the promise of God’s Word out of the context of Scripture. That’s unnecessary. Find out about the marvelous promises of God’s Word.

Guideline #3: Pray with fervency. What does that mean? Noisy verbosity? Shout and plead with God to do something? No, not really. When Elijah met the prophets of Baal, they cut themselves, yelled and screamed, but praying to a deity who was not alive brought them no answer.

James, the half-brother of Jesus, gave us an insight. He wrote, “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). A paraphrase is, “The down-to-business prayer of a man who has been justified brings great gain!”

A final thought. Each of us has a will of his own, and we’re perfectly willing to let God have our way, right? But the highest form of faith is saying, “God, here’s what I’m asking you to do, and I believe that you will; but even more than what I want, I’m asking you to work your will in my life in this whole situation.” Prayer connects you directly with the Father, and God is never too busy to hear your cry. Prayer can change your life for the better.

BE SENSITIVE FOR ONCE: THE SAME SOUND, JOSHUA HEARD A BATTLE CRY WHILE MOSES HEARD CELEBRATION!

Grace, peace, and the razor-sharp discernment of the Holy Ghost to the BELOVED, the prophetic watchmen, and the true disciples of Jesus Christ!

Today, the LORD is releasing a heavy, apostolic course correction to the Body of Christ. The Spirit of God is weeping over a generation that is loud, active, and zealous, yet completely deaf to the actual frequency of Heaven. We have mastered the art of making noise, but we have lost the spiritual sensitivity to decode what the noise actually means!

We must confront the tragedy of spiritual misdiagnosis. Open your spirit to this terrifying revelation.

The Anatomy of a Misdiagnosed Sound (Exodus 32:15-18)
Moses and his protégé, Joshua, were coming down from the mountain of God. As they approached the camp of Israel, a loud, chaotic noise rose up from the valley below. They both heard the exact same frequency, but their spirits diagnosed it entirely differently.

"And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, 'There is a noise of war in the camp.' But he Moses Feiye said: 'It is not the noise of the shout of victory, nor the noise of the cry of defeat, but the sound of singing I hear.'"

    — Exodus 32:17-18 (NKJV)
    Notice the absolute contrast!

Joshua was a general. He was a military man. Because his mind was trained for combat, he immediately assumed the noise was a battle cry. He thought the enemy had attacked the camp.

But Moses had just spent 40 days face-to-face with the Glory of Yahweh. Moses wasn't filtering the sound through human training; he was filtering it through divine intimacy. Moses listened closer and realized: This isn't warfare. This is idolatry. This is the flesh running wild. This is a carnal celebration around a Golden Calf.

The Danger of Your "Joshua" Assumptions

Beloved, when you lack deep spiritual sensitivity, you will always project your own experiences, traumas, and natural training onto spiritual situations!

Fighting the Wrong Battles: How many believers are in heavy "spiritual warfare," binding demons and fasting for victory, when heaven is looking down saying, "That is not a demon attacking you; that is your own unchecked flesh throwing a party!"

The Deception of Atmosphere: Not every shout in the church is a shout of victory. Not every cry is a cry of repentance. Sometimes, the camp is just celebrating a Golden Calf of entertainment, compromise, and worldly success! If you are not sensitive, you will join the dance, thinking it is the Holy Ghost!

Filtering through the Flesh: Joshua misdiagnosed the camp because he wasn't carrying the burden of the Mountain; he was carrying the mindset of the battlefield. When you are disconnected from the secret place, you will always misinterpret what God is doing in your season.

The Prophetic Alarm: Go Back to the Mountain!
You cannot afford to be spiritually tone-deaf in this hour! If your discernment is off, your decisions will be off. You will end up defending people God is exposing, and you will end up fighting people God is anointing.

Be sensitive for once! Stop assuming every hardship is an attack from hell—sometimes it is the pruning hook of the Father! Stop assuming every financial windfall is a blessing—sometimes it is the bribe of the enemy! You need the Moses-level discernment that only comes from staring into the burning bush of God's presence until your carnal logic is incinerated.

    A Prayer for Razor-Sharp Discernment
"Lord God Almighty, I fall to my knees and repent for my spiritual deafness. I confess that I have tried to navigate the realm of the spirit using my natural intellect, my past experiences, and my carnal assumptions. I have fought battles You never called me to fight, and I have tolerated idols You commanded me to destroy. Forgive me! Holy Ghost, perform surgery on my spiritual ears right now. Remove the scales of insensitivity! Take me higher up the Mountain until I can accurately discern the sounds of this generation. I refuse to be deceived by the noise of the camp. Recalibrate my spirit to Your exact frequency. I surrender my logic to Your revelation. In the piercing, mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen!"

If the Holy Ghost just recalibrated your spiritual hearing and you are desperate for an upgraded level of discernment today, type "AMEN" in the comments below to seal your surrender!

My help and glory are in God —granite-strength and safe-harbor-God—
So trust him absolutely, people; lay your lives on the line for him. God is a safe place to be.
Man as such is smoke, woman as such, a mirage. Put them together, they're nothing; two times nothing is nothing.
And a windfall, if it comes— don't make too much of it.
God said this once and for all; how many times Have I heard it repeated? "Strength comes Straight from God."
