• Did you know?
Abraham gets called by God, a covenant, a near-sacrifice. Jacob wrestles an angel, gets renamed Israel, dreams of a ladder to heaven. Moses gets a burning bush, parts a sea, receives the Law. David kills a giant, becomes a king. Isaac digs a hole.
Out of every major name in the Bible, Isaac is the quietest. No new name. No vision. No miracle attached to him at all. In Genesis chapter twenty-six, the only story he really gets is this: the Philistines had filled in every well his father Abraham ever dug, packing them with dirt out of spite. Isaac didn't build anything new. He just went back and re-dug his father's wells, one by one, and gave them the exact same names Abraham already gave them. No rebranding. No legacy of his own. Just restoration.
The Philistines picked fights over two of the wells, Esek and Sitnah, meaning "argument" and "hostility." Isaac didn't fight back either time. He walked away and dug again somewhere else. The third well, nobody contested. He called it Rehoboth, "room enough," and said, "Now the Lord has made room for us, and we will flourish in the land."
No miracle. No confrontation. No moment of his own. Just a man who kept digging until the fighting stopped.
Maybe the quietest name in the Bible isn't the empty one. It's the one patient enough to hold onto what was already good.

  • LOOKING BACK ON Battle FOR BRITAIN.. IT INVOLVES BREAKING OF NEW GROUNDS.
Those who can remember, we all know Battlefield Of Britain ain't for the weak or those who faint but its victory is in the hands of those who keep digging.
    Yes leaving the distraction behind.

    Genesis 26:11–31 — #2024.
Great message to run with through Isaacs Journey in relation to Britain right now.

Isaac's journey shows a clear progression. He dug a well, and it was disputed — he named it Esek, meaning contention. He dug another, and it was disputed again — he named it Sitnah, meaning opposition. He did not stop or turn back; he moved on and dug a third well, and this time no one contended over it — he named it Rehoboth, the room God provided. There, at Beersheba, God established him, and even those who had opposed him came and recognised that the LORD was with him.

When Isaac first reopened the wells his father Abraham had dug, and no one contended over them. It was only when he broke new ground — Esek, then Sitnah — that opposition rose against him. Britain has restored what former generations laid down in the faith, yet in pressing forward into new ground for Christ in this generation, the nation has met contention and now stands in Sitnah. One of the Sitnahs' instruments is law. Isaac did not return to the old wells or retreat; he kept digging new ground until he reached Rehoboth.

Britain the race is not for the Swift but for them who are able to keep going without fainting.
So, do not stop digging because of Sitnah. Keep digging, keep praying, keep contending for the faith, keep standing for righteousness, and keep proclaiming Christ — until there is a Rehoboth, a place where God makes room to establish His purposes in this nation; until God is recognised in the land and peace reigns.

It is written about you.. Are you part of the tribe..
Hebrews 10:7 And Psalms 40;7-8 reads
Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come— In the volume of the book it is written of Me— To do Your will, O God.’ ”
Are his laws written in your hearts?

    Keep This Word In Mind.
    ‭Galatians 6:9 NIV‬
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

  • He grew up in a pub and became a cabinet maker. He wrote one of the greatest hymns of faith walking to work. He didn't enter full-time ministry until he was 55.
Edward Mote was born in 1797 in Cripplegate, London — in rooms above his parents' public house. He later described his upbringing in striking terms: his parents were not churchgoers and gave him no religious instruction whatsoever. By his own account, he entered adulthood knowing essentially nothing of God or faith.
As a teenager, he was apprenticed to a cabinet maker and heard a sermon by a preacher named John Hyatt at Tottenham Court Road Chapel. That sermon broke something open in him, and his life changed entirely.
He remained a cabinet maker for decades — a respected craftsman, devout in his private faith, but not a minister or church leader. In his spare time he wrote occasional verse and devotional poetry.
One Sunday morning in the 1830s, he was walking through London to his workshop when words and music began forming in his mind without particular invitation. By the time he arrived, most of a hymn was already there:
"My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name."
He worked through the day — wood and words simultaneously — finishing both the cabinet work and the hymn before evening. That same Sunday, he visited a friend whose wife was gravely ill. The family were searching for something to sing together. He pulled the paper from his coat pocket and they sang his morning's work at her bedside.
He became a Baptist pastor at 55 years old — over three decades after his conversion, after a lifetime of faithful obscurity as a craftsman. He served Rehoboth Baptist Chapel in Horsham, Sussex for 26 years.
When his congregation tried to transfer the title deeds of the church building to him as a gift, he refused. He said the church belonged to Jesus Christ and it would be wrong to put anyone else's name on it.
    He died in 1874.
"On Christ the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand."

And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water [is] ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him. And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah. And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

There are those that have been contending with the heathen but we are entering another season Rehoboth for now the Lord has made room for us.

  • New Revised Standard Version, Anglicised

    Genesis 10:1-32

    Nations Descended from Noah

These are the descendants of Noah’s sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth; children were born to them after the flood. The descendants of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. The descendants of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. The descendants of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim. From these the coastland peoples spread. These are the descendants of Japheth in their lands, with their own language, by their families, in their nations. The descendants of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan. The descendants of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The descendants of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. Cush became the father of Nimrod; he was the first on earth to become a mighty warrior. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said, ‘Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the Lord.’ The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar. From that land he went into Assyria, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-ir, Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city. Egypt became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, Pathrusim, Casluhim, and Caphtorim, from which the Philistines come. Canaan became the father of Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterwards the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon, in the direction of Gerar, as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. These are the descendants of Ham, by their families, their languages, their lands, and their nations. To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, children were born. The descendants of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram. The descendants of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. Arpachshad became the father of Shelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber. To Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan. Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, Obal, Abimael, Sheba, Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the descendants of Joktan. The territory in which they lived extended from Mesha in the direction of Sephar, the hill country of the east. These are the descendants of Shem, by their families, their languages, their lands, and their nations. These are the families of Noah’s sons, according to their genealogies, in their nations; and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood.

  • Good evening, brethren.
    1. Evening devotion for today.

    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    SUNDAY 21ST JUNE, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
    EXAMPLES OF GOD'S AMAZING GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    ISAAC.

    *TEXT:*
    GENESIS 26:12-25.
    12. Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him.
    13. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.
    14. He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.
    15. So all the wells that his father’s servants had dug in the time of his father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth.
    16. Then Abimelek said to Isaac, “Move away from us; you have become too powerful for us.”
    17. So Isaac moved away from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar, where he settled.
    18. Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them.
    19. Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and discovered a well of fresh water there.
    20. But the herders of Gerar quarreled with those of Isaac and said, “The water is ours!” So he named the well Esek, because they disputed with him.
    21. Then they dug another well, but they quarreled over that one also; so he named it Sitnah.
    22. He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, “Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land.”
    23. From there he went up to Beersheba.
    24. That night the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham.”
    25. Isaac built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord. There he pitched his tent, and there his servants dug a well.

    *TOPIC:*
    ISAAC.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
Isaac enjoyed God's Grace to the extent that he reaped a hundred fold even when the land experienced famine. Whatever he touched prospered, and he became very wealthy. This made the Philistines jealous, and they blocked his wells and wanted to get rid of him. Isaac did not wage war with them, but instead reopened the wells dug by his father, which the Philistines had blocked after Abraham's death. Three times he dug new wells and God blessed his efforts. God's gracious hand was on Isaac. Are you facing intense hatred and jealousy from those around you? Do not give in to their entrapment, but maintain a godly posture, trusting in God's faithfulness to keep His promises. He will make you grow from Grace to Grace to their amazement.

    *REFLECTION:*
    God keeps His promises.

    *PRAYER:*
Lord, bless the works of my hand. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    JOHN 1:16.
"From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another."

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    PSALM 107-108.

    ED.ii. Raise the bar
    Monday 22nd June 2026

'Jonathan...son of David's brother, killed him.' 2 Samuel 21:21 NIV

After David killed Goliath, four other men, including his nephew Jonathan, killed giants who rose up against the Israelites. 'In still another battle...there was a huge man with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot... When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimeah, David's brother, killed him' (2 Samuel 21:20-21 NIV). David had raised the bar. Witnessing the defeat of what others had deemed impossible gave them the strength to overcome their own giants.

Until 1954, no one had run a mile in under four minutes - most assumed it was virtually impossible. But on 6th May 1954, at an Oxford University track meet, Roger Bannister completed the distance in 3 minutes and 59.4 seconds. He had slain the giant. Two months later, Australian John Landy broke Bannister's record, proving that the four-minute mile was as much a psychological as a physical barrier. In the first half of the twentieth century, many attempted to climb Mount Everest and failed. It was the unconquerable giant for mountain climbers. On 29th May 1953, Edmund Hillary and his Sherpa guide Tenzing Norgay were the first to reach the summit. Since then, over a thousand climbers, ranging from age sixteen to sixty, have completed the expedition. David, Bannister and Hillary all conquered giants of their day and inspired others to match and excel in their feats.

You do yourself and others a disservice when you run from your giant. You need to stop being afraid to tackle hard tasks and remind yourself, 'If God did it before, he can do it again, and if he did it for others, he can do it for me.'

    Evening prayer for today.

David, Bannister and Hillary all conquered giants of their day and inspired others to match and excel in their feats. You do yourself and others a disservice when you run from your giant. You need to stop being afraid to tackle hard tasks and remind yourself, 'If God did it before, he can do it again, and if he did it for others, he can do it for me.' Evening prayer for today. EP.i. Raise the bar Monday 22nd June 2026 'Jonathan...son of David's brother, killed him.' 2 Samuel 21:21 NIV After David killed Goliath, four other men, including his nephew Jonathan, killed giants who rose up against the Israelites. • Rehoboth is a powerful moment recorded in Genesis 26:22, where Isaac finally found peace after repeated conflict. He had dug wells before, each one met with opposition and quarrels. Instead of fighting, he chose to move forward until he reached a place where there was no more striving.
There, he named the place Rehoboth, saying:
For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
Your Rehoboth is not a wish, It is a promise.
    And because God cannot lie,
it will surely come to pass.

  • Living Bible 1 Chronicles 1:1-54
These are the earliest generations of mankind: Adam, Seth, Enosh, Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.* The sons of Japheth were: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Diphath, and Togarmah. The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim. The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Canaan, and Put. The sons of Cush were: Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raama, and Sabteca. The sons of Raama were Sheba and Dedan. Another of the sons of Cush was Nimrod, who became a great hero. The clans named after the sons of Mizraim were: the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim, the Pathrusim, the Caphtorim, and the Casluhim (the ancestors of the Philistines). Among Canaan’s sons were: Sidon (his firstborn) and Heth. Canaan was also the ancestor of the Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, Arvadites, Zemarites, and Hamathites. The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech. Arpachshad’s son was Shelah, and Shelah’s son was Eber. Eber had two sons: Peleg (which means “Divided,” for it was during his lifetime that the people of the earth were divided into different language groups) and Joktan. The sons of Joktan: Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, Ebal, Abimael, Sheba, Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. So the son of Shem was Arpachshad, the son of Arpachshad was Shelah, the son of Shelah was Eber, the son of Eber was Peleg, the son of Peleg was Reu, the son of Reu was Serug, the son of Serug was Nahor, the son of Nahor was Terah, the son of Terah was Abram (later known as Abraham). Abraham’s sons were Isaac and Ishmael. The sons of Ishmael: Nebaioth (the oldest), Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. Abraham also had sons by his concubine Keturah: Zimram, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. Jokshan’s sons were Sheba and Dedan. The sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. These were the descendants of Abraham by his concubine Keturah. Abraham’s son Isaac had two sons, Esau and Israel. The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Kenaz, Timna, and Amalek. The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. The sons of Esau also included Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan; and Esau’s daughter was named Timna. Lotan’s sons: Hori and Homam. The sons of Shobal: Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. Zibeon’s sons were Aiah and Anah. Anah’s son was Dishon. The sons of Dishon: Hamran, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran. The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Jaakan. Dishan’s sons were Uz and Aran. Here is a list of the names of the kings of Edom who reigned before the kingdom of Israel began: Bela (the son of Beor), who lived in the city of Dinhabah. When Bela died, Jobab the son of Zerah from Bozrah became the new king. When Jobab died, Husham from the country of the Temanites became the king. When Husham died, Hadad the son of Bedad—the one who destroyed the army of Midian in the fields of Moab—became king and ruled from the city of Avith. When Hadad died, Samlah from the city of Masrekah came to the throne. When Samlah died, Shaul from the river town of Rehoboth became the new king. When Shaul died, Baal-hanan the son of Achbor became king. When Baal-hanan died, Hadad became king and ruled from the city of Pai (his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred and granddaughter of Mezahab). At the time of Hadad’s death, the kings of Edom were: Chief Timna, Chief Aliah, Chief Jetheth, Chief Oholibamah, Chief Elah, Chief Pinon, Chief Kenaz, Chief Teman, Chief Mibzar, Chief Magdiel, Chief Iram.
