    Good afternoon, children of God.
I come to return all the glory back to God of heaven and earth, our Lord Jesus Christ. I want to thank God for saving my life from premature death.
It happened—it was—it happened last week. It all started exactly Sunday last week, after the service. I no understand myself again. It was like a joke. The thing get start—continued getting deteriorated, to the extent that I was hospitalized on Tuesday.

Being hospitalized, I was not responding to treatment. But the servant of God kept praying with me, and kept checking on me. So, we kept going. It reached—I think, was it on Wednesday? I—I just started giving up on myself. All the—my husband beside me, the stress he's going through, and my family, I look at everything, I say, "Is it not better I should just—let me just go. Let me just go. Let me just go."

So, after one of the injection, I slept off. I could not understand—know—I allow my husband to go out of the—by my side. So, I just closed my eye. After closing my eye, I found myself on—in a new city. There was nobody. I was just going—I just keep going, don't even know where I'm going to.
So, inside the revelation, I now saw the man of God of this commission who asked me, "Where are you going?" I told him, "I don't even know where I'm going, but I just want to go. Let me rest." He told me to come back. He said I should come back. "Why do you want me to come back?" He said I should just come back.
So, God used his face. He stretched his hand, and I hold his hand. Holding his hand, I turned back. Turning back, I open my eye and now saw myself, I was still on the hospital bed. I say, "Wow, was it a play or a joke? Does it mean I was really going?"

That was how I woke up, and still continued.
So, I—when he later called, I told him the revelation I had. He prayed with me, said, "Why did I want to give up?" Since I started working on myself again, that was how I started receiving—I started responding to treatment. Gradually, I was discharged. I was discharged on Friday.
After my discharge, I reached home, I was just managing. I cannot eat, I cannot drink, but they forced me that I have to be taking something. I claimed today that, "Yes, I can take something," so that they should let me go, that I realized that the body is non-more of the medical. Let me go home and think and pray, and struggle to pray.

So, reaching home, yesterday afternoon, I ate, but I started having another pain again. And there was this condition attached to me seeing the doctor that must be stable before the next procedure. I started having severe pain that I cannot even explain—I don't want to say it out.
When I checked the time, it was already some minutes after eight. I say, "Ah, okay. Let me go online." Coming online now, I met they already started prayer. So, I joined the prayer. Joining the prayer, I was hitting my tummy and that of my waist. 'Cause I say, "This time around, I'm not in the hospital. Let's face it. I'm in the house. Let's face it squarely."
I followed the prayer. When I started the prayer, sleeping was coming. The sleeping was so deep. Me that I hardly slept sometimes like that, the sleep, since I started being on drugs, sleeping was coming, I was struggling with the sleeping, I was praying. I say I must pray. Even when they do the—share the grace, I don't even know. When I—when I check again, I say, "Okay," I continue again.

I was hitting it. I was telling the pain to go back to the sender. Since that yesterday night till now, I've not taken anything. God brought relief! Not even a single paracetamol I've not taken, and I cannot find the pain.

I just want to say, "Thank you, Jesus, for taking over." Now that is the area I got to learn that, "Okay, any power that don't want to let me be, let's face it." And God took over.
I just want to say, "Thank you, Jesus, for healing me." May His name alone be praised. I cover my testimony with the blood of Jesus, and this affliction and every other one, they will not come back again, in Jesus' name. Amen.
    God bless you, sir.

  • Kingdom Carriers | Beyond the Uniform

Around midday on Wednesday, I was making my way to the hospital chapel for our weekly time of fellowship and prayer.

As I approached, I noticed a gentleman from our security team sitting quietly inside.

From a distance, the uniform caught my attention first.

But then I noticed something else.

    He was reading his Bible.

I had seen him around the hospital before. We had exchanged greetings in passing, but we had never really stopped to talk.

    This time I did.

I introduced myself, and he told me his name was Tama.

I explained that a few of us gather in the chapel every Wednesday around midday for fellowship and prayer, and that he would always be welcome to join us.

As others began arriving and our fellowship was about to start, I sensed Tama would soon need to return to his duties.

So before he left, I excused myself for a moment and brought him a copy of Kingdom Carriers.

    He received it gratefully.

I watched briefly as he looked at the front cover, turned it over, and began reading the back.

Then he returned to his duties.

    That was it.

    No long conversation.

    No dramatic ending.

And I don't know what God will do with that brief encounter.

But afterwards, one thought stayed with me:

At first I saw a uniform. When I stopped, I met a brother.

How easily we identify people by what we first see.

    The uniform. The occupation.
    The position. The label.

But Jesus consistently looked beyond what people did and saw the person standing before Him.

Perhaps there are people we pass regularly whose faces we recognise, but whose names we have never learnt.

Sometimes a Kingdom encounter doesn't begin with preaching.

It begins by stopping long enough to see the person.

    Wednesday reminded me:

There is always more to someone than the uniform they wear.

    I sowed a small seed.

What happens next belongs entirely to God.

All glory and honour belong to Him.

    Grace and peace,

    Jacob

  • "THE DOOR CLOSED"

    *Lagos, 2024*

Adaora was 27. Smart, diligent, and the top performer on her team at _BrightWave Tech_. For 3 years she showed up early, stayed late, and covered for people. Everyone said she was "next in line for manager."

Then one Friday, HR called her in.
"We’re downsizing. Today is your last day."

No warning. No performance issues. Just a box, an email deactivation, and 24 other people walking out with her.
The reason they gave? "Budget cuts."
The real reason her colleagues whispered? The new COO wanted "his own people."

Adaora went home and broke. Rent was due in 2 weeks. Her younger brother’s school fees were unpaid. She had sent 87 applications in 6 months before this job.

    *Weeks 1-4: The silence*

She applied everywhere. Interviews ghosted her. One recruiter said, "We love you but you’re 'overqualified'."
She prayed. Fasted. Her pastor laid hands on her and said _“God is not done.”_
She believed it… until month 3 hit.

    *Week 12: All doors closed*

She got a final email from BrightWave’s HR: "Appeal denied. Position filled."
Her landlord gave her a 7-day notice. Her phone was about to be cut off.
That night she sat on her mat in her small apartment in Yaba, Bible open to _Isaiah 43:19_ — _“Behold, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs forth.”_
She whispered, "God, if You’re doing a new thing, I can’t see it."

That same week, she saw on LinkedIn that her old role was reposted. Same title. Same salary. But the requirement now said "3-5 years experience + must have worked at BrightWave."
It felt cruel. Like God was teasing her.
She closed the app and cried, "It’s over."

Sunday morning. Her pastor called her out during service. "Someone here lost a job unfairly. God says: ‘I saw what was done in secret, and I will answer in public.’"
Adaora didn’t know what to think.

    Monday 9:03am.

    Unknown number.
"Hello, is this Adaora? This is the CEO of BrightWave. We just finished an audit. We found out the downsizing was targeted and illegal. The COO has been let go. We’d like to offer you your job back. With 4 months back pay. And a promotion to Team Lead. Can you resume Wednesday?"

    She dropped her phone.
Later she found out: One of the board members had watched her mentor interns for free on YouTube during her unemployment. He told the CEO, "That’s the kind of person we need leading."

    *6 months later*
Adaora now runs the department. The first thing she did was rehire 2 people who were let go with her.
She keeps a sticky note on her desk: _“Man said no. God said watch.”_

*The truth she tells young people now:*
"There was a moment I thought God forgot me. But He was working behind closed boardroom doors I couldn’t access. When man shuts the last door, God builds a new hallway."

  • OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL

    DATE: WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12TH 2026

    THEME: INPUT DETERMINES OUTPUT II

MEMORISE: But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
    Luke 12:48

    READ: Matthew 25:14-30

14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

    MESSAGE

Referencing the example I gave in the first paragraph of yesterday’s teaching, if God gives you an assignment, He will provide you with the resources you need to execute it. Some of those resources will be around you, and others will be within you. As we see in today’s memory verse, to whom much is given, much is expected, so the more resources God gives you, the more results He expects from you.

People who feel that God has not given them enough resources must be careful that they do not become like the servant who despised the talent his master gave him, as we read in today’s Bible reading. Some people feel that the resources they have are insufficient and try to wait for God to give them something better or more before they can start being faithful with the little they have.
Beloved, this is a wrong mindset. A person who cannot be faithful with what he or she has received should not expect to receive more. God only gives more to those who have proven themselves faithful in little things.

I hail from a village that was not on the map. My father was so poor that people who were also poor called him poor. Even though my parents were poor and I did not have many resources growing up, God gave me one talent, and that is my brain. I used the talent God gave me very effectively by studying diligently, and gradually, I acquired many more resources with it. The Lord gave me salvation in 1973, and from that point onward, I became a very useful vessel in His hands. When I reflect on the great things God has enabled me to achieve despite the limited resources I started out with, always praise the Lord for His faithfulness. Indeed, when a fellow is faithful with little, more will be committed to him or her.

Child of God, look around and within you, and you will see all the great gifts that God has given to you. Don’t fail Him; please, use those gifts to win more souls to the Kingdom of God. Use them to gain so much influence that when you speak, people will be willing to listen and serve the same God that you serve.I pray that the Almighty God will use you to accomplish mighty things in His Kingdom as you serve Him faithfully with the gifts He has given you, in Jesus’ name.

    REFLECTION

Are you serving God faithfully with the gifts He has given you?

    HYMN 12: ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS

    1. Onward, Christian soldiers!
    Marching as to war,
    With the cross of Jesus
    Going on before.
    Christ, the royal Master,
    Leads against the foe;
    Forward into battle,
    See his banners go!

    [Chorus]
Onward, Christian soldiers!Marching as to war,
    With the cross of Jesus
    Going on before.

    2. At the sign of triumph
    Satan’s host doth flee;
    On, then, Christian soldiers,
    On to victory.
    Hell’s foundations quiver
    At the shout of praise;
    Brothers, lift your voices,
    Loud your anthems raise.

    3. Like a mighty army
    Moves the Church of God;
    Brothers, we are treading
    Where the Saints have trod.
    We are not divided;
    All one body we:
    One in hope and doctrine,
    One in charity.

    4. Onward, then, ye people;
    Join our happy throng.
    Blend with ours your voices
    In the triumph song:
    Glory, laud, and honor
    Unto Christ, the King.
    This through countless ages
    Men and angels sing.

Use them to gain so much influence that when you speak, people will be willing to listen and serve the same God that you serve.I pray that the Almighty God will use you to accomplish mighty things in His Kingdom as you serve Him faithfully with the gifts He has given you, in Jesus’ name. REFLECTION Are you serving God faithfully with the gifts He has given you? HYMN 12: ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS 1. Onward, Christian soldiers! Marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus Going on before. Christ, the royal Master, Leads against the foe; Forward into battle, See his banners go!   [Chorus] Onward, Christian soldiers!Marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus Going on before.   2. At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee; On, then, Christian soldiers, On to victory. Hell’s foundations quiver At the shout of praise; Brothers, lift your voices, Loud your anthems raise.   3. Like a mighty army Moves the Church of God; Brothers, we are treading Where the Saints have trod. We are not divided; All one body we: One in hope and doctrine, One in charity.   4. Onward, then, ye people; Join our happy throng. Blend with ours your voices In the triumph song: Glory, laud, and honor Unto Christ, the King. This through countless ages Men and angels sing.

  • Good evening, brethren.
    1. Evening devotion for today.

    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    WEDNESDAY 12TH AUGUST, 2026

    *SUB-THEME:*
    YOUTHS: VESSELS OF GOD'S GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    YIELDING TO GOD'S MOULDING PROCESS.

    *TEXT:*
    JEREMIAH 18:1-6
[1] The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord:
[2] “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear My words.”
[3] So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel.
[4] And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.
[5] Then the word of the Lord came to me:
[6] “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

    *TOPIC:*
    YIELDING TO GOD'S MOULDING PROCESS.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
In a world that encourages unchecked freedom and haste, it is challenging to submit to God's purpose patiently. Jeremiah uses the image of a potter and clay to illustrate God's sovereign authority to shape our lives as He wills. Though the moulding process may be uncomfortable and impact our character, desires, and attitudes, it is ultimately for our good. Yielding to this divine process transforms us into vessels of honor, shaped by grace. The key question is whether we are resisting or willingly submitting to God's refining work in our lives. Some delays in life, such as marriage, admission, employment, travel or even promotion, may be a moulding process orchestrated by God for our later glory. Do not allow these moulding processes to discourage you. Depend on God's plans for your life.

    *REFLECTION:*
    Yield to God's moulding process.

    *PRAYER:*
Lord, here am I; mould me. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    2 TIMOTHY 2:21.
"If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be instruments for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master, and prepared to do any good work.

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    JEREMIAH 40-45.

    ED.ii. TERRIFIED

"And being in anguish, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground." - Luke 22:44

After the meal, Jesus took three of His disciples to the garden of Gethsemane. It was in this garden where He became terrified. Jesus, a man of sorrows, was confronted here with a pain He never experienced before in His life as the Son of man. Jesus was always joyful and at rest, but in this garden, everything became different. His peace was gone, His rest turned into a deadly fear. He even prayed: 'Abba, Father, everything is possible for You. Take this cup from Me. Yet not what I will, but what You will.' (Mark 14:36).

    Jesus' battle

Jesus was waging a heavy battle. His sweat even became like drops of blood. He walked to His disciples and wanted to share His terrible fear with them. But they had fallen asleep. I always thought that Jesus was terrified because He was fighting the evil one in this garden. But then I realized that this is impossible, because Jesus already won that battle during the temptation in the desert. I understood that Jesus is talking about a cup here and He is asking His Father to take that cup away from Him if possible.

This cup did not come from the Pharisees, nor from the evil one, nor from His sleeping disciples, nor from His traitor or other people, but from His own Father. That cup was filled with our sins, diseases and guilt. All the evil was in that cup. And now He had to drink that cup. That terrified Him, because with this cup God, His Father, would burden Him with all our sins!

He was without fault, He was clean and holy. He could not sin. By drinking that cup, He stood in the place of sinners. The curse and the punishment had to come on Him. He was abandoned by God because of that guilt. Today we are able to come into God's presence 24 hours daily because Jesus drank that cup for us. Happy are those who believe this.

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    WP.i. Evening Prayer

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. ⏤ Psalm 4:8

A quiet heart is content with what God gives. ⏤ Elisabeth Elliot

Our waiting eyes are on You, O Lord, this evening. The close of each day adds to our debt of gratitude for Your mercies and favors. We are not worthy of even the least of all Your goodness and loving-kindness, for we have sinned against You. Yet we hope in Your mercy and cast ourselves on Your grace.

We thank You for the protection You have given us this day. We have gone out and come in, and You have kept us safe. You have blessed our home life, keeping us from harm, providing for our needs, and giving us strength for duty. You have blessed us in our work, giving us some measure of success and enabling us to continue in our place and do our tasks.

We thank You for the grace You have given us to resist temptation, to bear our daily crosses, and to witness for You among others.

Great Shepherd of all Your redeemed people, we ask You to take each member of our family into Your special care tonight. We cannot protect ourselves from the dangers of the darkness, so we entrust our lives to Your gracious keeping. May Your holy angels watch over our home. You who never slumber, keep watch over us.

We pray for all our friends and neighbors. They have different needs, and we cannot know what each one requires, but You know. Grant each one what will be the truest blessing. Lead them in right paths. Let none of them be eternally lost. Remember Your church and give it spiritual enrichment. And to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be glory forever. Amen.

  • Wednesday Encouragement

Blessings, dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

We have reached the midpoint of another week. On Monday, we reminded ourselves that although the world around us appears to grow darker, we have been entrusted with the one Light that darkness can never extinguish—the Lord Jesus Christ.

But now comes the challenge: Will we continue to shine when we become tired, discouraged, or distracted?

It is easy to begin the week with enthusiasm. It is more difficult to remain faithful when responsibilities increase, prayers seem unanswered, and the pressures of this world begin demanding our attention.

Yet Christ has not called us to shine only when circumstances are favorable. He has called us to remain faithful wherever He has placed us.

We must remember that we do not produce the Light—we reflect the One who is the Light. Therefore, our strength does not come from ourselves. We must continually return to Christ through prayer and His Word, asking the Holy Spirit to strengthen us for the work before us.

There may be someone God places in your path today who desperately needs encouragement. There may be someone searching for truth who needs to hear the Gospel. There may even be someone quietly watching your life to see whether the Christ you proclaim truly makes a difference when difficulties come.

Do not underestimate what our sovereign God can accomplish through simple faithfulness.

“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts…” — 2 Corinthians 4:6

So as we continue through the remainder of this week, let us not become weary or distracted by the darkness around us. Let us keep our eyes upon Jesus Christ, stand firmly upon His Word, pray continually, and faithfully carry His Gospel wherever He sends us.

The darkness is great, but Christ is greater.

May our prayer today simply be:

Lord, keep my light shining. Give me the courage to speak Your truth, the compassion to demonstrate Your love, and the faithfulness to glorify You in everything I do.

Serving Christ Together for His Glory Alone.

    Soli Deo Gloria.
