• THE POWER OF A GOD-GIVEN VISION

Did you know that our marriage began with something that looked like a simple story we created and acted out?

At that moment, we did not realize that there was a prophetic message hidden behind it. The words we wrote on paper, the conversations that sounded like jokes but carried deep meaning, and the vision we shared together became instruments that God used to prepare our future.

Because many times, before God brings something into the visible realm, He first reveals it in the spirit.

A vision from God is not just a dream or an imagination. It is a seed He places in the heart to guide us toward His divine purpose.

So today, I want to ask you:

    What has God shown you?
What promise has He placed inside your heart?
What vision has He entrusted to you?

Do not allow that vision to die within you. Speak it in faith. Write it down. Pray over it. Walk according to His will, and allow God to bring it to manifestation in His perfect timing.

This is what God did with Abraham.

Before he became the father of many nations, God changed his identity and taught him to see beyond his present reality.

    God said to him:

“I have made you the father of many nations.”
    (Genesis 17:5)

Abraham received the promise before he saw the fulfillment.

And today, we can witness the faithfulness of God through his descendants and the nation of Israel.

The same principle applies to us.

You may not yet see what God has placed inside your spirit, but if it comes from Him, He is able to bring it to pass at the appointed time.

    Receive the vision.
    Hold on to faith.
And allow God to write your story.

  • WHEN YOUR VISION IS BIGGER THAN THEIR UNDERSTANDING

Genesis 37:19-20 — “Here comes that dreamer… Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits… Then we will see what becomes of his dreams.”

Stop thinking that you are the problem. You are not the problem. The challenge is that your dream may be bigger than their understanding, bigger than their vision, and bigger than where they think you can go.

Joseph did not commit a crime. He did not harm anyone. His only “offense” was that he dreamed beyond their limitations.

A dream from God will challenge people who have accepted limitation. A dream from God will disturb those who cannot see what God has shown you.

If your dream has never created opposition, maybe you are not dreaming at the level God wants you to dream. We are not talking about dreams of only food, clothes, and personal comfort. We are talking about dreams that shake nations, bring change, defeat giants, and leave a legacy.

Joseph’s brothers said, “Let us destroy him and see what will become of his dreams.” They did not understand that God was already working behind the scenes. Joseph himself did not know how God would fulfill the dream, but God knew.

Your responsibility is to dream, keep dreaming, trust God, and continue walking in faith.

    1. People may fight you.

    2. People may despise you.

    3. People may intimidate you

    4. People may reject you.

  • DESTINY SWAPPING

.....When Thrones Change Hands, Crowns Change Heads, and Opportunities Change Owners

    LEAD SCRIPTURE

    Ecclesiastes 10:5-7 (KJV)

"There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler: Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place. I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth."

    ---

    INTRODUCTION

Solomon observed a troubling mystery under the sun: qualified men displaced while the unqualified are promoted; princes walking while servants ride horses.

Sometimes this occurs because rulers are corrupt, biased, ignorant, or manipulated (Isaiah 3:4-5; Proverbs 29:2; Ecclesiastes 4:13).

At other times, it is the consequence of personal failure, carelessness, disobedience, pride, or moral compromise (Proverbs 10:4; Hosea 4:6; Matthew 25:28).

In Scripture, positions, mantles, opportunities, inheritances, and assignments frequently changed hands.

    Not every transfer was injustice.

    Not every promotion was merit.

    Some were judgments.

    Some were rewards.

Some were sovereign acts of God.

    The sobering reality is this:

A place prepared for one person can ultimately be occupied by another.

    ---

    THE REALITIES OF DESTINY SWAPPING

    1. Judas and Matthias

    (Acts 1:20-26)

Judas abandoned his office through betrayal.

    Another took his bishopric.

Lesson: A neglected assignment may be transferred.

    ---

    2. Reuben and Joseph/Judah

    (Genesis 49:3-4; 1 Chronicles 5:1-2)

Reuben lost birthright privileges through instability and immorality.

    Leadership and inheritance shifted.

    Lesson: Character sustains destiny.

    ---

    3. Esau and Jacob

    (Genesis 25:29-34; Hebrews 12:16-17)

Esau traded a covenant blessing for temporary appetite.

Lesson: Careless choices can mortgage destiny.

    ---

    4. Saul and David

    (1 Samuel 15:22-28; 16:1)

Saul's throne remained, but heaven had moved on.

    David received what Saul squandered.

    Lesson: Disobedience creates vacancies.

    ---

    5. Eli and Samuel

    (1 Samuel 2:27-36; 3:19-21)

    Eli tolerated corruption.

Samuel rose while Eli's house declined.

Lesson: What we refuse to correct may eventually replace us.

    ---

    6. Vashti and Esther

    (Esther 1:10-12; 2:15-17)

    One queen lost favor.

    Another found purpose.

Lesson: One person's rejection may become another's opportunity.

    ---

    7. Haman and Mordecai

    (Esther 7:9-10; 8:1-2)

The gallows builder became its victim.

The forgotten gatekeeper became prime minister.

Lesson: God can reverse positions overnight.

    ---

    8. Ishmael and Isaac

    (Genesis 17:18-21; 21:10-12)

    Both were sons of Abraham.

    Yet covenant inheritance followed Isaac.

Lesson: Divine purpose is not always determined by chronology.

    ---

    9. Moses and Joshua

    (Numbers 20:7-12; Deuteronomy 34:9)

Moses led Israel to the border.

    Joshua led them into possession.

Lesson: Finishing well matters as much as starting well.

    ---

    10. King Uzziah and His Priestly Ambition

    (2 Chronicles 26:16-21)

A successful king attempted to occupy another office.

    Honor became humiliation.

Lesson: Destiny is fulfilled by staying within divine boundaries.

    ---

THE SEVEN DANGERS OF DESTINY SWAPPING

    1. Untapped Potential Goes to the Grave

    (Ecclesiastes 9:10; Matthew 25:25-30; Proverbs 18:9)

Many die full of gifts but empty of impact.

    ---

    2. Years of Labor Can Be Lost

    (Psalm 127:1; Haggai 1:6; Galatians 3:4)

Carelessness can waste decades of preparation.

    ---

    3. Others May Occupy Your Place

    (Acts 1:20; Esther 4:14; Matthew 25:28)

    Vacant assignments rarely remain vacant.

    ---

    4. Future Generations May Suffer

    (1 Samuel 2:31-33; Exodus 20:5-6; Judges 2:10)

One generation's failure often affects another.

    ---

    5. Divine Opportunities May Expire

    (John 9:4; Luke 19:42; Ecclesiastes 3:1)

    Every opportunity has a season.

    ---

    6. Regret May Become Permanent

    (Hebrews 12:17; Proverbs 5:11-13; Luke 16:25)

Some opportunities cannot be recovered once lost.

    ---

    7. Kingdom Impact May Be Reduced

    (1 Corinthians 3:15; 2 Timothy 4:10; Revelation 3:11)

Lives that should have influenced nations may end influencing none.

    ---

    WISDOM NOTES

Destiny is not merely received; it must be maintained.

The greatest enemy of greatness is often not opposition but carelessness.

Many fear witches, demons, and enemies; few fear complacency.

A crown lost through negligence is often worn by someone else through diligence.

God's gifts are free, but stewardship is costly.

Never assume that because a door opened for you, it cannot close.

    Heaven rewards faithfulness, not entitlement.

    ---

    FINAL THOUGHTS

Ecclesiastes does not merely expose political injustice.

It reveals a profound spiritual reality.

Sometimes rulers are indeed evil, promoting folly and suppressing excellence.

At other times, those displaced have first displaced themselves through compromise, pride, disobedience, laziness, or carelessness.

    The sobering question is not:

    "Who stole my destiny?"

    The deeper question is:

"Am I faithfully stewarding what God has entrusted to me?"

For many crowns are not stolen.

    They are simply abandoned.

    Many mantles are not attacked.

    They are neglected.

And many destinies are not destroyed by enemies.

They quietly die in the hands of their owners.

    ---

    PRAYER LINES

Father, preserve me from every error capable of disqualifying my destiny.

Lord, grant me wisdom to recognize and maximize every opportunity You send.

Every spirit of carelessness, complacency, and compromise, lose your hold over my life.

Father, help me finish my assignment faithfully and completely.

Every blessing, opportunity, and mantle assigned to me, I shall not lose it through negligence.

Lord, let my gifts, callings, and capacities find full expression on the earth.

May I never arrive in eternity carrying unused potential.

Father, help me to finish well and leave a lasting Kingdom impact.

N/B:One additional observation on Ecclesiastes 10:5–7: Solomon calls it an "evil" and an "error which proceedeth from the ruler." In the immediate context, he is primarily criticizing poor leadership and misgovernance—leaders elevating fools and sidelining capable people. • BEWARE OF TRADING OBEDIENCE WITH AMBITION

Ambition is the strong desire to achieve success, greatness, recognition, wealth, or influence.

While ambition is not inherently evil, it becomes dangerous when it causes us to disobey God. Many people start their journey with God sincerely but later allow personal desires, career goals, financial pursuits, fame, or position to replace obedience to God's will.

God blesses obedience, not selfish ambition. Whenever ambition demands that we compromise God's instructions, we must choose obedience over personal gain.

The tragedy of many believers is not that they lack ambition, but that they have traded obedience for ambition.

    1 Samuel 15:22-23 (KJV)
"And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry..."

What Does It Mean to Trade Obedience for Ambition?

It means placing personal desires above God's commands.

It means pursuing what you want instead of what God wants.

It means seeking success at the expense of righteousness.

    Matthew 6:33
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

God never intended ambition to lead us; His Word should lead us.

Biblical Examples of People Who Traded Obedience for Ambition

    1. King Saul

    1 Samuel 15:1-24
God instructed Saul to completely destroy the Amalekites. Instead, Saul spared King Agag and kept the best animals.

Saul's ambition to please people and appear successful caused him to disobey God.

    Result:

    He lost God's favor.

    He lost his kingdom.

    He lost his destiny.

    Lesson:
Partial obedience is complete disobedience before God.

    2. Balaam

    Numbers 22-24
Balaam knew God's instruction, but his desire for reward and honor tempted him.

    2 Peter 2:15
"...who loved the wages of unrighteousness."

    Lesson:
Greed and ambition can corrupt spiritual judgment.

    3. Judas Iscariot

    Matthew 26:14-16
Judas traded loyalty to Christ for thirty pieces of silver.

His ambition for money caused him to betray Jesus.

    Result:

    Regret

    Destruction

    Eternal shame

    Lesson:
Nothing gained through disobedience is worth losing God's presence.

Signs You Are Trading Obedience for Ambition

    1. When Success Matters More Than Faithfulness

    Luke 16:10
"He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much."

    God measures faithfulness before success.

    2. When You Ignore God's Conviction

The Holy Spirit warns believers when they are moving in the wrong direction.

    Isaiah 30:21
"And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it..."

Ignoring God's voice repeatedly hardens the heart.

    3. When You Justify Sin for Advancement

Some people lie, cheat, manipulate, or compromise because they want promotion, money, or influence.

    Proverbs 10:9
"He that walketh uprightly walketh surely."

    4. When Human Approval Becomes More Important Than God's Approval

    Galatians 1:10
"For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."

Many people lose their spiritual direction because they fear disappointing people.

Why Obedience Is Better Than Ambition

    1. Obedience Attracts God's Favor

    Deuteronomy 28:1-2
"And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God... all these blessings shall come on thee..."

    Blessings follow obedience.

    2. Obedience Preserves Destiny

    Joseph remained obedient despite temptations.

    Genesis 39:9
"How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"

His obedience eventually brought him to the palace.

    3. Obedience Brings Lasting Rewards

    John 14:23
"If a man love me, he will keep my words..."

Temporary success obtained through disobedience cannot compare with eternal rewards.

How to Protect Yourself from Ambition-Driven Disobedience

    1. Seek God's Will Daily

    Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart..."

    Always ask:
"Lord, is this Your will or merely my desire?"

    2. Develop a Heart of Submission

    James 4:7
    "Submit yourselves therefore to God."

    Submission protects us from self-will.

    3. Value Character Above Achievement

    Proverbs 22:1
"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches..."

Your integrity is worth more than any promotion.

    4. Be Willing to Wait on God's Timing

    Habakkuk 2:3
"...though it tarry, wait for it..."

Many people compromise because they are unwilling to wait.

    The Greatest Example: Jesus Christ

    Luke 22:42
"Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."

Jesus chose obedience over personal comfort.

    Philippians 2:8-9
"And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death..."

Because of His obedience, God highly exalted Him.

    Conclusion

Your greatest enemy is not failure; it is success obtained outside the will of God.

Ambition without obedience can destroy destiny.

Every believer must decide whether to pursue personal desires or follow God's instructions.

King Saul chose ambition and lost the kingdom.

Jesus chose obedience and gained eternal glory.

    Remember:

    Obedience is better than sacrifice.

    Obedience is better than popularity.

    Obedience is better than promotion.

    Obedience is better than ambition.

Choose God's will over personal ambition, and He will lead you into His divine purpose.

    Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me never to trade obedience for ambition. Give me the grace to seek Your will above my own desires. Let my success never come at the cost of disobedience. Create in me a humble and submissive heart that delights in following You. May Your purpose be fulfilled in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen.

BEWARE OF TRADING OBEDIENCE WITH AMBITION Ambition is the strong desire to achieve success, greatness, recognition, wealth, or influence. 1 Samuel 15:22-23 (KJV) "And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry..." What Does It Mean to Trade Obedience for Ambition? It means placing personal desires above God's commands. It means pursuing what you want instead of what God wants. It means seeking success at the expense of righteousness. Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." God never intended ambition to lead us; His Word should lead us. Biblical Examples of People Who Traded Obedience for Ambition 1. King Saul 1 Samuel 15:1-24 God instructed Saul to completely destroy the Amalekites. Instead, Saul spared King Agag and kept the best animals. Saul's ambition to please people and appear successful caused him to disobey God. Result: He lost God's favor. He lost his kingdom. He lost his destiny. Lesson: Partial obedience is complete disobedience before God. 2. Balaam Numbers 22-24 Balaam knew God's instruction, but his desire for reward and honor tempted him. 2 Peter 2:15 "...who loved the wages of unrighteousness." Lesson: Greed and ambition can corrupt spiritual judgment. 3. Judas Iscariot Matthew 26:14-16 Judas traded loyalty to Christ for thirty pieces of silver. His ambition for money caused him to betray Jesus. Result: Regret Destruction Eternal shame Lesson: Nothing gained through disobedience is worth losing God's presence. Signs You Are Trading Obedience for Ambition 1. When Success Matters More Than Faithfulness Luke 16:10 "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much." God measures faithfulness before success. 2. When You Ignore God's Conviction The Holy Spirit warns believers when they are moving in the wrong direction. Isaiah 30:21 "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it..." Ignoring God's voice repeatedly hardens the heart. 3. When You Justify Sin for Advancement Some people lie, cheat, manipulate, or compromise because they want promotion, money, or influence. Proverbs 10:9 "He that walketh uprightly walketh surely." 4. When Human Approval Becomes More Important Than God's Approval Galatians 1:10 "For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ." Many people lose their spiritual direction because they fear disappointing people. Why Obedience Is Better Than Ambition 1. Obedience Attracts God's Favor Deuteronomy 28:1-2 "And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God... all these blessings shall come on thee..." Blessings follow obedience. 2. Obedience Preserves Destiny Joseph remained obedient despite temptations. Genesis 39:9 "How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" His obedience eventually brought him to the palace. 3. Obedience Brings Lasting Rewards John 14:23 "If a man love me, he will keep my words..." Temporary success obtained through disobedience cannot compare with eternal rewards. How to Protect Yourself from Ambition-Driven Disobedience 1. Seek God's Will Daily Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart..." Always ask: "Lord, is this Your will or merely my desire?" 2. Develop a Heart of Submission James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God." Submission protects us from self-will. 3. Value Character Above Achievement Proverbs 22:1 "A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches..." Your integrity is worth more than any promotion. 4. Be Willing to Wait on God's Timing Habakkuk 2:3 "...though it tarry, wait for it..." Many people compromise because they are unwilling to wait. The Greatest Example: Jesus Christ Luke 22:42 "Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." Jesus chose obedience over personal comfort. Philippians 2:8-9 "And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death..." Because of His obedience, God highly exalted Him. LESSON: Romans 8:18-21

    TOPIC:
    THE BURDEN BEFORE THE BREAKTHROUGH

    TEXT:
For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
    Romans 8:22–23 (NKJV)

    INTRODUCTION:
There is a dimension of God’s move that many desire… but few understand. We pray for breakthrough, we declare open doors, we fast for lifting… but we often ignore the burden that comes before it.
Sometimes, what you are feeling is not pressure… it is a divine assignment forming within you.
God does not release breakthroughs casually. He births them through burdened hearts. Be blessed and transformed by the word in Jesus powerful name.

    EXPOSITION:
[1]. BURDEN IS THE SEED OF DIVINE ASSIGNMENT
Nehemiah did not begin with building… he began with weeping (Nehemiah 1:4). Before God entrusts you with change, He allows you to feel what is broken.
That discomfort you feel may not be weakness…
it may be God's planting purpose. Many times, people pray for impact without understanding the process that produces it. God often places a holy burden upon those He intends to use. Moses felt the pain of Israel before becoming their deliverer. Esther carried the burden of her people before stepping into courage.
A divine burden is Heaven’s way of awakening responsibility within a man. What continually troubles your spirit may be connected to your assignment.

[2]. BURDEN ALIGN YOU WITH GOD'S HEART
The Bible says, “Bear ye one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2). True burden is not self-centered… it connects you to God’s concern for others. When you carry what God cares about,
you position yourself for divine backing.
Jesus Himself was moved with compassion whenever He saw the suffering of people (Matthew 9:36). Compassion is often the doorway to ministry.
A heart that feels nothing can change nothing.
When your prayers move beyond “Lord bless me” into “Lord use me,” your spiritual life begins to mature.
God entrusts power to people whose hearts reflect His love and concern for humanity.

[3]. BREAKTHROUGH IS BORN THROUGH TRAVAIL
Romans 8:22 reminds us that creation groans.
Groaning is not a failure… it is a sign that something is about to be born. Every genuine breakthrough passes through a season of spiritual pressure.
The pain of the travail is uncomfortable, but it is never meaningless. A woman in labor may cry, but her pain announces the arrival of life. In the same way, many believers abandon their process too early because they mistake pressure for abandonment.
Sometimes, the season that feels the heaviest is the season closest to manifestation. God uses pressure to build endurance, deepen faith, and prepare His children for the breakthrough ahead.

    CONCLUSION:
DO NOT RUN FROM THE BURDEN
Do not run from the burden…
lean into it. That heaviness may be the womb of your next level. Before God lifts a man publicly,
    He often breaks him privately.
This brings us to the end of the message

    PRAYER:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, grants us the grace to carry divine burdens without fainting. Align our hearts with Your purpose, and strengthen us in seasons of pressure. Let every burden we carry birth a testimony, and lead us into an undeniable breakthrough,
    in Jesus’ name. Amen.

    GOODWILL MESSAGE:
May this week awaken purpose within you.
May every silent burden turn into visible glory.
Your breakthrough is closer than you think.

    HAPPY BLESSED SUNDAY
