When you do have a few cents to give, it is always a problem getting it to the person. I would think the request should contain details of their situation, if too proud to share that then who will take a chance on them. I was approached the other day, by a youngish guy, lost his job, and here in South Africa jobs are reserved for one group, the one we dont belong to. After talking a bit he said" I must put my pride in my pocket and ask you for food" I gave him some money to buy food, he walked me back to my car, and made a beeline to a food store. I did give him advice on what jobs to look for, I pray he will come right.

There are genuine Christians and then there are religious Christians. * If you want to be religious, feed the widows and theorphans" We all know that scripture, but then what is a true Christian? A true Christian has a working relationship with God, they are led by the Holy Spirit, they use the authority given to them by God. Our world is corrupt, to a point that corruption has influenced our thinking, and the Bible teaches us the true way....Have a blessed day, and pray for the USA and South Africa, where the trouble makers are more corrupt than ever.....thank you.

What I really miss is those praise and worship songs we sang in the 1970's. The words were like talking to God directly, and today's P&W seems so impersonal. I saw Jimmy Swaggard singing one of those old songs a few weeks before he passed on, what a blessing. A little bit of hope that soon faded. Where can I get a hymn book with those P&W songs, I have a suspicion they were Maranatha songs? The new year has been great so far, how are you all doing?
