*BUILD YOURSELF IN CHRIST*
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified (Acts 20:32).
In our last study, we touched on something very important: You’ve received Christ, yes; but you must continue in Him and be built up in Him. He said in John 8:31, "…If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.” Spiritual growth is intentional. It doesn’t happen by chance; the responsibility is yours to allow the Word of God to dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16).
No one can grow for you. No one can build your spirit for you. Your progress in Christ is directly tied to your personal commitment to the Word. You may say, “I’ve read through the entire Bible from Genesis2 to Revelation”; but reading isn’t enough. Remember the words of the Lord Jesus for us to search the Scriptures; Paul said to study. There’s a difference. Reading informs you, but searching unveils truth, and studying establishes it within you.
Until you move beyond casual reading, you won’t walk in the depth, authority and power of the Word. There’s more in God, so much more. As you give yourself to study, meditation, and the ministry of the Spirit, deeper revelations are unveiled to you. Your convictions become firm, your discernment refined, and your walk with God steady, consistent, and built on truth.
Remember, we win by His Word. You’re sustained by the Word of His grace, which is able to build you up and unveil your inheritance to you. That Word must dwell richly in you, shaping your thoughts, your responses, and your direction. So, don’t be passive about your spiritual growth. 1 Peter 2:2 says, "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”
The strength and stability of your Christian life are determined by the depth of the Word in your spirit. You’ve received Christ, that’s powerful; now build yourself in Him. Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Be established in truth.
*PRAYER*
Dear Father, I thank you for the Word of your grace that builds me up and establishes me in Christ. I’m strengthened, rooted and grounded in the truth of your Word. My life is structured by your Word, and I walk in ever-increasing grace and glory as the revelation of your Word floods my spirit and strengthens my faith, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
*FURTHER STUDY=>*
2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Colossians 2:6-7 NIV
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, [7] rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Jude 1:20 KJV
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

*DON'T LOSE YOUR SALVATION*
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall (1 Corinthians 10:12)
Nothing in this world compares to the value of your salvation. Not your accomplishments, not your visions, not your impact; nothing. Your salvation is the very reason for your existence; without it, everything else amounts to nothing. Your main purpose on earth is to secure your salvation and help others find theirs. Once you understand this, you'll live a fulfilled life.
There're those who laboured diligently, gave generously, and served fervently, yet lost their salvation because they strayed from the path. You can be engaged, committed, and even celebrated, yet miss the essence. Never let that happen. Your salvation is your most priceless possession; don't treat it lightly.
Refuse to be drawn away. Some have allowed others to guide them off course, becoming entangled in conflicts they had no business with; defending positions that corrupted their focus and weakened their walk with God. That''s not your path. Stay with the truth. Continue in Christ and guard your heart. The Bible says, "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving" (Colossians 2:6-7).
Your walk with God is personal. When God called Abraham, He called him alone. In the same way, your accountability to the Lord is a personal one. These are the last days; therefore, don't let anyone lead you astray, and don't lead yourself astray either. Be discerning and remain established in the Word. Receiving Christ is the beginning, not the end. Build yourself up in Him. Give yourself to deep and intense study of the Word.
The Lord Jesus said, Search the Scriptures "(John 5:39). Paul said, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15). As you give yourself to the Word, the Spirit of God unveils deeper truths to you, strengthens your convictions, and keeps you grounded in the truth.
*PRAYER*
Dear Father, I thank you for the priceless gift of salvation that I've received in Christ. I remain steadfast, vigilant and rooted in your Word, refusing to be swayed or led astray by any influence contrary to your truth. I'm built up in Christ, I'm growing in grace and in the knowledge of your Word. Thank you for the grace to lead others into this same glorious life, in Jesus'Name. Amen.

*TRAIN THEM IN THE WAY THEY SHOULD GO*
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).
There’s a clear instruction from the Word concerning the upbringing of children, and it’s not subject to personal opinion or modern cultural trends. The Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go,” not in the way he chooses, not in the way society suggests, and not even in the way you merely prefer, but in the way he should go. That way is defined by God’s Word.
Some today have adopted a flawed mindset in raising their children, saying, “In our home, everyone is free to decide what they want to believe or how they want to serve God.” That’s not a Christian home. Christianity is not a democracy of beliefs. When you choose to raise a Christian home, there’s a standard and that standard is the Word of God.
The Bible speaks of those who “...did not like to retain God in their knowledge...” (Romans 1:28). That condition doesn’t start suddenly in adulthood; it’s often the result of a lack of proper training and structure in the formative years. When children are not guided on the right way to serve God, they grow up without the consciousness of God and that absence can lead to grave spiritual consequences.
You don’t negotiate spiritual discipline with a child because the Bible says foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but discipline helps to get rid of it: “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him” (Proverbs 22:15). As a Christian parent, don’t entertain the idea of your child deciding not to go to church. Don’t raise children to follow their impulses; raise them to walk in truth.
When you insist on God’s way, consistently, firmly and with love, you’re not being harsh; you’re being obedient to divine instruction. And the result is guaranteed: when they’re old, they won’t depart from it. That training becomes a spiritual compass within them, guiding their choices and preserving their lives.
You’re not called to raise children who merely grow; you’re called to raise children who know God, walk in His ways, and live according to His truth. That responsibility is divine and must be taken seriously.
*PRAYER /CONFESSION*
Dear Father, thank you for your grace and wisdom at work in my life. I walk in the light of your Word, applying your truth with consistency, love and firmness. My home is established on your Word, and those under my care are nurtured in righteousness, growing with the consciousness of your presence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

*TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR BODY*
...Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost...and ye are not your own? (1 Corinthians 6:19).
Did you know that your body isn’t yours? It belongs to Jesus Christ; you were bought with a price. The Bible says, "...therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's”*(1 Corinthians 6:20). Even though your body belongs to God, He has entrusted it to you. You’re the custodian of your body; you’re responsible for it.
Many haven’t understood this. They think God is responsible for their body and whatever happens in it. They assume that if they serve God well enough, He’ll automatically take care of their health. But that’s not how it works. You’re responsible for keeping your body in health.
Faithfulness isn’t the same as faith. You can be faithful in serving God and still allow sickness in your body because you haven’t taken your place of dominion. You’re a partaker of the divine nature; you’re not ordinary. You have authority over Satan, sickness, disease, infirmity, and death.
So, refuse to allow sickness or disease gain entrance into your body. Don’t permit it. If you notice symptoms, don’t panic, don’t cry, and don’t accept them. More importantly, don’t beg God to take them away. You’ve been given authority. Exercise it. He said in Matthew 10:8, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils….”Notice that He told you to do it.
Don’t beg God to take sickness away from you; rather, destroy it with your faith-filled words. Put your hand on your body and say, “In the Name of Jesus Christ, I command this sickness to get out of my body. This body belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ, and I refuse to allow any sickness in it.”
When you speak like that in the Name of Jesus, that condition has no choice but to go. God is pleased with your faith. The Bible says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him…” (Hebrews 11:6). You don’t cry over sickness; you exercise authority over it. Use the Word to keep your body in health; this is God’s will for you: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3 John 1:2).
*CONFESSION*
I have the life of God in me, and it fully inundates my body. Sickness, disease and infirmity have no place in me because my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I walk in health, strength and perfection. Hallelujah!

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. [21] Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. [22] For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
Romans 8:10-11 KJV

*YOU’RE GOD’S VOICE TO YOUR GENERATION*
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).
The responsibility for preaching the Gospel today rests with us. Those who came before us fulfilled their part and completed their assignments. The Apostle Paul, for example, declared at the end of his ministry, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). He knew he had accomplished what God sent him to do.
Now, the responsibility has passed on to us. We’re the ones appointed by God for our generation. We’re His messengers, entrusted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to reach the world in our day. This is a sobering and inspiring truth: the Gospel has been committed to your trust.
God works through men and women who understand their calling and take responsibility for their generation. So, impact your world with the Gospel. It’s what He called us to live for. He said in Matthew 4:19, “…Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” He said, And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).
We’re the ones charged with the responsibility to preach the Gospel in all the world, disciple the nations, and make them ready for the soon-coming of the Lord Jesus. He said in Matthew 28:19, _*“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
We’re His ambassadors, sent to bring others into this new life and show them how to live victoriously. Think about the impact that can be made when each one of us takes this seriously, the expanded reach and influence. That’s what the Lord wants. You’re not here by chance; you’re His mouthpiece to your generation.
The Gospel has been committed to you; therefore, preach it with urgency, boldness and conviction. Through you, God wants to locate and bring the last lost soul into the Kingdom. Take your place and fulfill your ministry. This is your time; impact your world for Christ.
*PRAYER*
Dear Father, thank you for entrusting me with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I recognize my responsibility as your ambassador and minister of reconciliation to my generation. I proclaim your Word with boldness, and today, through me, lives are transformed and your Kingdom is expanded, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
*FURTHER STUDY=>*
2 Corinthians 5:18-20 KJV And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; [19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. [20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Romans 10:13-15 KJV
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. [14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? [15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
1 Corinthians 9:16 NIV
For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

He said in Matthew 28:19, _*“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” We’re His ambassadors, sent to bring others into this new life and show them how to live victoriously. *🙏PRAYER* Dear Father, thank you for entrusting me with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I recognize my responsibility as your ambassador and minister of reconciliation to my generation. I proclaim your Word with boldness, and today, through me, lives are transformed and your Kingdom is expanded, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. *FURTHER STUDY📖=>* 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 KJV And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; [19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. [20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. Romans 10:13-15 KJV For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. WALKING IN THE SPIRIT IS THE ANSWER
...Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).
The solution to the challenges associated with the flesh, the world, and temptation is heeding the definitive instruction from the Word of God to walk in the Spirit. From some of our earlier studies, we observed that the flesh operates by desire, the world by influence, and temptation by internal inclination.
But there’s a higher life in Christ. When you walk in the Spirit, His life that’s inherent in your recreated human spirit is expressed effortlessly. That’s why He didn’t call us to fight the flesh, the world, or the devil but to simply live according to our nature. The flesh has been crucified (Galatians 5:24), you’ve overcome the world (1 John 5:4), and the devil is defeated (Hebrews 2:14).
Walking in the Spirit, therefore, is not a struggle; it’s the expression of your true nature. It’s walking in the Word, where the fruits of the spirit—love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance—flow naturally from within you. This is the life of the Christian. Christianity isn’t a religion, and it’s not a struggle with sin, the flesh, or the devil; it’s the transcendent life in Christ. It’s the unveiling and manifestation of the Christ-nature in you. Hallelujah!
You’re not called to battle the flesh, the world, or the devil. You’re called to live the life of the Spirit. As you give yourself to the Word and yield to the Holy Spirit, His life in you gains the ascendancy over the flesh. Therefore, walk in the Spirit, consciously and consistently, expressing your true nature in Christ; in doing so, you rise above all limitations and live triumphantly every day.

*THE REAL SOURCE OF TEMPTATION*
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed (James 1:14).
The Word of God reveals something profound about temptation and how it comes. Temptation doesn’t begin outside; it begins from within. We just read it: “… every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust....” It didn’t say by someone else’s actions or external pressure; it says you’re tempted when you’re lured by your own lust.
That means the source is internal. Only what your heart already craves can tempt you. So, when people fall into temptation, it’s not the environment that caused it but the inclination of their heart. It’s not what they were exposed to but what they were already attracted to.
The Bible gives us the progression: “Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death” (James 1:15). First, there’s attraction, then contemplation, followed by conception, and finally, manifestation. It doesn’t start with the act; it begins with what was allowed from within.
That’s why the focus should always be on your heart. The Bible says to guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). It’s about what you permit to take root within you. Many try to avoid temptation by avoiding situations; while that may be helpful, the real issue is the condition of the heart.
A man is not tempted simply because something exists; he is tempted because something in him responds. This is why blaming others for your slips, errors, or temptations is disingenuous. The Scripture is clear: you’re tempted when you’re drawn away by what already has a hold on your heart.
That means the responsibility is personal. And this isn’t to bring condemnation but understanding, because once the source is understood, the solution becomes clear. You don’t deal with temptation through fear; you overcome it with the light of God’s Word and by walking in the Spirit. When you walk in the Spirit, you will not fulfil the desires of the flesh: “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16).
*PRAYER / CONFESSION*
Dear Father, thank you for the light of your Word that gives me understanding. I’m not led by wrong desires; I walk in the Spirit and manifest the nature of righteousness. I live above every influence of the flesh, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

*SET YOUR AFFECTION ON HIM*
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him (1 John 2:15).
The Spirit, through the Apostle John, gives a clear and uncompromising instruction that must be understood in its full weight and implication: love not the world. This is a direct call to absolute separation in affection and alignment from the things of this world.
The world, in this context, isn’t the physical earth or the people in it but the godless system of the world that’s governed by the senses, driven by lust, sustained by pride, and opposed to God’s divine will and purpose.
It brings to mind the profound admonition of the Spirit in Colossians 3:1-2, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Your love should be on the Father; your affection should be set on heavenly realities and not on the things of this world.
Read again the latter part of our opening verse; it says, “If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” It shows that the issue isn’t merely the external association or relationship with the world but internal affection. This is why the example of Demas in 2 Timothy 4 is so instructive.
In Paul’s letter to Philemon, Demas was listed among Paul’s fellow labourers and companions in ministry, a witness of divine power. Yet, in 2 Timothy 4:10, Paul declares, “...Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world....” Demas’ detour from the work of the ministry was a result of his affection; he had loved this present world.
Worldliness, therefore, is not first a matter of conduct but of inclination. It draws, it appeals, and presents alternatives, and over time, it produces separation from one’s calling and divine purpose. But as a Christian, you’re crucified to the world, and the world is crucified to you: _*“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world” (Galatians 6:14).
Therefore, don’t think like the world or live by its standards. Love the Lord wholly and truly, and live in the consciousness of your oneness with Him and separation unto Him. Let His Word guide your life. Let your love for Him compel and constrain you at all times (2 Corinthians 5:14-15).
*PRAYER*
Dear Father, thank you for the light of your Word that aligns my heart with your will. My affections are set on you, and I walk in the consciousness of my dominion over the systems of this world. I live unto you, to fulfil your call and destiny for my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
*FURTHER STUDY*=>
James 4:4 KJV Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Romans 8:5-9 NIV Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. [6] The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. [7] The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. [8] Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. [9] You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.
Matthew 6:21 KJV For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
1 John 2:15-17 KJV Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. *THE FLESH HAS BEEN CRUCIFIED*
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts" (Galatians 5:24)
There exists a common misconception among many that the flesh must continually be "crushed" or subdued through repeated struggle and effort. But the Scripture presents a different reality: the Christian has already crucified the flesh.
The Complete Jewish Bible renders our opening scripture beautifully; it says, Moreover, those who belong to the Messiah Yeshua have put their old nature to death on the stake, along with its passions and desires." This is not a process but an accomplished reality: your old nature is dead: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
The reason many still struggle with the flesh is simple: they attempt to achieve what has already been accomplished, applying effort where understanding is required. The more they strive, the more they become subject to the very thing they're trying to overcome. That's not how it works. Live in the Word. Accept what the Word says about you.
Even the works of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:19-21 are not attributed to demons but to the flesh itself, indicating that the issue is not external but internal. Understand that this doesn't place the Christian in a position of disadvantage, because the solution is not found in suppression but in substitution: "...walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16).
The emphasis is not on eliminating the works of the flesh but on living in the Spirit and by the Spirit, walking in the light and reality of God's Word. As you walk in the Spirit, the life of the Spirit is manifested in you and through you, and the influence of the flesh is displaced. It helps to understand why the Bible says "...Sin shall not have dominion over you..." (Romans 6:14).
*PRAYER*
Dear Father, thank you for the substitutionary work of Christ that has translated me from death to life, sin to righteousness, and from darkness to light. I walk in the Spirit and live in the reality of my new nature, manifesting the life of righteousness and dominion, today and always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
