It is not two people competing but two becoming one in purpose, vision, and love. God’s Presence in Marriage The Garden of Eden was not just a home—it was a place where God’s presence dwelt. That is the true secret of a sweet marriage. A home without God may look fine outside, but it will lack true peace inside. Only His presence brings lasting joy, unity, and strength. Psalm 127:1 says, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it.” Without God as the builder, marriage becomes a struggle. But with Him, marriage becomes a blessing. Living Out God’s Design Today To enjoy marriage as God designed it, both husband and wife must: Recognize God as the author of marriage. Put Him at the center of their home. Seek His wisdom daily through prayer and His Word. When God’s design is followed, marriage becomes a gift, not a burden.
