“God’s Favor in a Foreign Land”
Introduction
Genesis 47 shows how God’s promise to Abraham continues even in a foreign land. Jacob and his family settle in Egypt under Joseph’s protection, and through Joseph’s wisdom, Egypt survives the famine.
This chapter reveals God’s ability to bless His people anywhere — not because of their location, but because of His presence. It also reminds us that while we live in this world, we are only passing through; our true home is with God.

Lesson: God’s favor opens doors even in unfamiliar places. When you walk in His purpose, He makes room for you.
Verses 7–10 – Jacob Blesses Pharaoh
