“The Generations of Esau: God’s Faithfulness Beyond the Covenant”
Introduction
Genesis 36 shifts the focus from Jacob to Esau, his twin brother. While Jacob is the chosen heir of God’s
covenant promise, Esau still receives earthly blessings. This chapter lists Esau’s descendants, the rulers of Edom, and the nations that came from him.
