EUPHORIA Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) August 12, 2025 KNOW WHAT IS YOURS REV. AROME E. TOKULA Philemon 1:6 (AMP) - [And I pray] that the participation in and sharing of your faith may produce and promote full recognition and appreciation and understanding and precise KNOWLEDGE of every GOOD [THING] THAT IS OURS IN [OUR IDENTIFICATION WITH] CHRIST JESUS [and unto His glory]. Knowledge is very important when it comes to living a victorious Christian life. Many suffer because of ignorance and it ought not to be so. It is important to know what is yours in Christ Jesus because you cannot take what you don’t know is yours and it is also very possible to have something and not know you have it. This is the reason you need to make it a habit to read God’s Word and listen to messages that declare and teach the total gospel of what God has done for you in Christ Jesus. Faith begins where the will of God is known and to know, you have to hear! Paul asked the disciples in Ephesus, “… HAVE YE RECEIVED the Holy Ghost since ye believed? and they said unto him, WE HAVE NOT SO MUCH AS HEARD whether there be any holy ghost.”They could not receive the Holy Ghost because they had not ‘heard’ of Him; so you see that it is important to hear. Our text says because you are IDENTIFIED with Christ Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection, every good thing is in you! You are not worthless! You aren't disadvantaged in this life. You have the greatest advantage in this life; but you have to ‘know’ it as a present truth in your consciousness. 1 John 5:13 says, “My PURPOSE in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God's Son WILL KNOW BEYOND THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT that YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, the reality and not the illusion.” (MSG). These things are written so that we will know without a shadow of a doubt! While some were waiting to receive God’s eternal life when they got to heaven, John had to write to them so that they would KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that eternal life – life like God has it – was already in them. When you know that you already have eternal life dwelling in you, you will start manifesting divinity. The way you think, talk, and act will change and the results you will start producing will be ‘God-results.’ As a child of God, you have to constantly keep in memory: (i) what you have been given in Christ Jesus (ii) what you can do in Christ Jesus, and (iii) who you are in Christ Jesus. These three will give you a balanced walk of faith. This understanding, however, can only come by constantly hearing the gospel! Get into God's word and know for yourself who Jesus is and what he has done for you. You cannot take and enjoy what you don’t KNOW is yours or KNOW you have! You cannot be who you don’t KNOW you are. If you do not know without a shadow of a doubt that you are rich in Christ, you cannot be rich. If you do not know without a shadow of a doubt that you are healed in Christ, you cannot live sickness free! If you do not know without a shadow of a doubt that you are blessed, you cannot be successful in anything that you do. DECLARE I know who I am in Christ Jesus. I stand tall in life because I have God’s eternal life in me. Because of my union with Him, I know that my sins are forgiven, healed, and blessed. I am more than a conqueror! I walk in authority and victory always. I cannot be defeated and put to shame in Jesus' Name.
