And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? Genesis 3:11 KJV

    WATCH OUT!
Many destinies have been truncated because we fail to adhere to this two words. Staying watchful is a lifelong, lifelong responsibility for everyone who desires peace and progress. You must never outsource your guard to someone else. This is what cost Adam and Eve the garden for ever. You won't loose your garden in Jesus precious name.

    WATCH OUT FOR WHAT?
    1. Understand the context of the words being said. Many of you swallow every word, hook, line, and sinker. Your downfall was simply focusing on the contents and forgetting the context. Content, involves: The literal meaning of the word(s). While Context, deals with The surrounding circumstances that affect how we interpret the word(s). Content focus on "The words themselves" while Context focus on "The situation around the words" Sometimes a man or woman begins to speak out the future but you are too shallow, myopic and unwatchful to read in-between the lines. Carried away by the euphoria and excitement of the present, you loose your future. That is how you married the wrong person. That is how you entered the wrong business etc. WATCH OUT FOR THE CONTEXT BEHIND WORDS.

    2. Understand the personality, the spirit behind the words. It is often said that God or life can use anybody, I agree. But most often, it is not. This is why you must always look at the spirit behind words, the personality behind the statement. The closest disciple of Jesus Christ is Peter. At an incident, Jesus called Peter Satan.
"But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Matthew 16:23. Peter only made a statement, but the spirit behind the words was of Satan. Jesus recognised the spirit speaking and he rebuked it. Eve and then Adam, couldn't decipher the spirit behind the serpent, it cost them their beautiful garden. The devil is a trickster, very smart and a deceiver. Remember he uses tools and channels available especially, man. EVERY WORD HAS A SPIRIT. Scripture says: the words that I speak are spirit (behind every word is a spirit). WATCH OUT, UNDERSTAND THE SPIRIT BEHIND THE WORDS, NO MATTER HOW SWEET THEY ARE. "...and my spirit made diligent search. Psalm 77:6.

You have a glorious destiny. Do not let words jeopardize it. Every words, every action is systematically shaping your destiny. May you not loose your garden in Jesus precious name. Amen. Be blessed, Stay refreshed!

  • DAILY MANNA 2026 DEVOTIONAL

    DATE: MON, JUL 27, 2026

    TOPIC: IT IS THEIR TIME

    KEY VERSE:
“When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” - (Luke 22:53).

    READ: Luke 22:52-54 (KJV)

    MESSAGE:
The story was told of a university town, where a feared cult leader ran a gang. The gang terrorised students, extorting, bullying, and even injuring others. He was regarded as “untouchable,” and his group gained influence and notoriety. He lived large, dressed in designer clothes, and drove expensive cars. However, following a violent incident on campus that involved his group, a major investigation was launched by the authorities. The cult leader was arrested and expelled. His supporters disbanded and fled. Years later, while the students he terrorised built careers, he remained jobless, shunned, and miserable.

The cult leader had his time. So did the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders who came to arrest and humiliate Jesus Christ. He told them, “…this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” As these malicious zealots exuded the euphoria of their “exploit” of capturing Jesus, as if He were a robber, He queried them, “Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?” Their rude attitude was unnecessary and a mismatch with Christ’s peaceful disposition. They lacked the authority and courage to accost Christ all the time He ministered in the temple and everywhere; but why now? Christ could only rationalise their behaviour and reconcile Himself to it, considering it was their time. It was a time when the power of darkness was permitted to do its worst, which would eventually redound to God’s purpose — and to humanity’s redemption.

We often witness the “triumphing of the wicked,” where dubious individuals exploit the political space, misuse power, and afflict the righteous. We find people “prospering” in business by cutting corners and through corruption. People gain fame and fortune by adopting perverted lifestyles and performances. We live in a time when evil is called good, and good evil — all to the frustration of the righteous. There is even a rise in the active persecution of Christians around the world. But we should be comforted by the submission of our Lord: it is their time. Consider also that “the triumphing of the wicked is short…” (Job 20:5).

If you are a true follower of Christ, keep walking with Him. Do not be dismayed by the attitudes and actions of the worldly.

The temporary humiliation of Christ resulted in eternal honour and our redemption. Our present frustrations will soon result in permanent favour.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Believer, benchmark not with unbelievers — they’re in a different race.

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    MONDAY JULY 27, 2O26.
    "FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, CONTROL YOURSELF!"

    'A person without self-control…’  Proverbs 25:28 NLT

THE BOY said, ‘He made me do it, Dad. He was nasty to me.’ Attempting to teach his son responsibility, his father replied, ‘Son, you’ve got to learn that you are the guard at the door of your own life. You’re in charge. Nothing gets in or out without your permission.’ That’s a picture of how things work in your spiritual life! ‘A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls’—a defenceless city, because its guard failed to protect it. But what if the enemy is too powerful for you? For God’s people, all warfare is spiritual. Whether you’re tested on the social, financial, emotional or sexual front, the battle must be won spiritually. And the rule in spiritual warfare is: ‘…Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world’ (1 John 4:4). When your personal territory is under assault, you’re never abandoned to your own devices—unless you choose to be. However inadequate you feel, however intimidating the situation looks, no matter how many battles you’ve already lost, the power of the Holy Spirit within you is always adequate to guarantee your victory. What’s the key to releasing that power? 1) ‘…Clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires’ (Romans 13:14 NLT). Invite the Lord to take the wheel and redirect your thoughts. 2) ‘…The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives…self-control…’ (Galatians 5:22-23 NLT). God’s Spirit won’t forcibly control you. But He will enable you to control yourself, resist temptation, master your vulnerability and win the victory.

*Sometimes, we may feel afraid or alone, but we can always trust that God is with us. No matter where we are or how we feel, He never leaves our side and is always ready to comfort and protect us.*

One night, James was scared of sleeping in his new room because it was so dark and quiet. His mom reminded him that God is always with Him, even when he feels alone. He prayed and asked God to help him feel safe. As he laid down, he remembered that God would never leave him no matter what. James fell asleep peacefully knowing that God was watching over him.

*God is always with us, and we can trust Him to never leave us, even when we are afraid or lonely. When we trust God, He will see us through the troubles and challenges of life. No matter what we face, we can rely on His presence to comfort us, give us strength, and guide us. God's love and care are constant, and He is always there to help us overcome our fears and difficulties.*

    MONDAY, 27TH JULY, 2026.

    *GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY OVER TIMING*

    *TEXT:* LUKE 22: 52-54.

52.Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.

*Timeless Truth:*_"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it"_ (1 Corinthians 10:13).

    *INTRODUCTION*

Do you know that God has His own time table for every event in your life? *"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven"* (Ecclesiastics 3:1). Is it possible to miss God's timing for some events in your life? Israel refused to cooperate with God and they got themselves king Saul through pressure and desire to be like other nations. Had they waited for God's timing for them before they started having kings, the tragedies they faced, as a nation, due to the reign of King Saul would have been avoided. Saul himself would not have been king. God has His own timing for the coming of the Messiah. He came. But Israel, through unbelief, missed the divine timing and were blinded from recognizing their Messiah. They will remain in that state of blindness till the Second Coming of Christ. Missing God's timing is very costly in every respect. God is never late, neither is He ever early. He works according to His perfect timetable. The arrest of Jesus Christ, though pathetic, was not a triumph of evil over good, but the fulfilment of God's eternal purpose and timing. Though wicked men thought they had taken control of events, they were only carrying out what God had already permitted within His sovereign plan. Believers must therefore, trust God's timing even when circumstances appear confusing or unfavourable, knowing that nothing happens outside His knowledge and authority.

*1. The Arrest of the Omnipotent by the Destroyers*

    a. Jesus questioned the chief priests, captains of the temple and elders, asking why they came against Him with swords and clubs as though He were a dangerous criminal. Ironically, they attempted to arrest the One who has all powers -the Omnipotent God. How could mortals use swords and staves to arrest the One who is Omnipotent and Omniscience except God Himself permitted it? Their conspiracy and arrest did not come to Jesus by surprise. Jesus knew it would happen and that the timing was then, but they were ignorant of this fact. Their hatred blinded them to His identity, yet they could not lay hands on Him until the appointed hour arrived. This reminds us that no enemy can frustrate God's purpose or act beyond His permission. Human opposition may seem powerful, but God's sovereign plan always prevails.
    b. Believers do face difficult times like trials, temptations, tempests and tough times. It is not because the enemy is so powerful, but rather God allowed it and has a reason for it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 shows that God moderates all those tough times to be within the limits of the power and grace of God deposited and available for the specific believers.
Like the popular song writer wrote: "He knows the bitter, weary way, The endless striving day by day, The souls that weep, the souls that pray; My Father knows, my Father knows".

    *Question*

Do I recognize that God is fully aware of the tough times I am passing through and it is by His permission?

*2. The Allowed Operation by the Divine*

    b. Jesus declared, *"This is your hour, and the power of darkness."* Satan and his agents were permitted to operate, but only for a limited time. God did not lose control; He simply allowed their actions to accomplish His redemptive purpose through the cross. Every trial, persecution or apparent victory of evil has a divine limit. God's permission is never His abandonment and His sovereign purpose will ultimately bring glory to His name and victory to His children.
    b. Both the problems and the promises of believers have God's own timing of fulfilment or manifestation. Jesus moved freely in the temple and in the Jewish streets for about three years and nobody could touch Him because it was not yet God's time for Him to be arrested. Ability to recognize God's plan and His timing is the surest path of peaceful and joyful living at all times. *"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come"* (Habakkuk 2:3). The same is true with the vision of the Rapture, the Second Coming of Christ etc. God is moderating all events to fit into His timing. Don't run ahead of God, ask for a revelation of His time and patiently wait for His time. *"For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry"* (Hebrews 10:37).

    *Question*

Can I patiently trust God's sovereignty when He allows temporary trials or the seeming success of evil?

    *3. The Afar-Off Disciple*

Peter's fall and denial of Jesus did not happen overnight. It started with self confidence when he did not take the warnings of Jesus about His betrayal very seriously. This self confidence affected him that he did not draw from the river of grace when Jesus asked him to join Him in prayers at the Garden of Gethsemane. He slept off throughout. He later resorted to carnality by cutting off the ear of someone in defence of Jesus. The next phase of his backsliding was when he started following Jesus "afar off". After Jesus was arrested, Peter followed "afar off." Fear and uncertainty caused him to keep a safe distance from the Lord. Times of testing often reveal the depth of our commitment. When God's timing differs from our expectations, we may be tempted to withdraw from close fellowship with Christ. However, believers are called to remain faithful and confident that God's timing is always perfect, even when we do not fully understand His ways. When you follow Jesus afar off, your Quiet Time will be mechanical, your love for fellowship will just turn into an unpleasant routine. The end result is that you prefer moving closer with unbelievers than true, genuine and fervent believers. That was the case of Peter and eventually, he fell.

    *Question*

Am I following Christ closely in difficult times, or have fear and disappointment caused me to keep my distance from Him? Are you an "afar off" disciple?

    *Prayer Points*

1.Father, help me to trust Your perfect timing and sovereign control over every situation in my life .
2.Lord, strengthen my faith to remain steadfast when You permit trials for Your greater purpose .
3.Father, deliver me from fear and help me to follow Christ closely in every season of life .
4.Lord, visit all those members following you "afar off" and bring them to the deeper love of Jesus.

    Morning Prayer for today.

    MP.i. Morning Prayer

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. ⏤ Matthew 6:10

In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. ⏤ John Bunyan

Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. May Your kingdom come. May Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. This is our prayer this morning. We want Your kingdom to come fully into our hearts so that everything in us submits to Your rule. We want You to be the King of our lives, seated on the throne of our hearts, ruling over our affections, feelings, and desires. So we pray that Your kingdom may come in our lives. May everything in us that opposes You be brought into submission. May our ways that are not right be changed to align with Your holy ways.

Sometimes we get frustrated and upset when things don't go our way, when our work is hard, or when our plans don't succeed as we hoped. Father, forgive us for our discontent and rebellion. We know You are training us and that we are in Your school all the time. We know that when we complain and get upset about our circumstances, we not only grieve You but also hinder Your work in us. Help us to humbly submit to all Your ways and learn well the lesson of submission and trust in Your sovereign plan for us. We want to be truly able to say, "May Your will be done." Give us the grace to say it every day and every hour. Help us to look up to You . . .
    when the path is rough,
    when the tasks are hard,
when it hurts us to go on—
and to say with love, "Not my will, but Yours be done."

We commit ourselves to You for the day. It may not bring us all sunshine, gladness, and ease. It may have clouds, pain, and hardship. But, Father, we want to make it a sweet, beautiful day—whether it is bright or dark. Give us much of Your Spirit, and may we live close to You all day. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. MD.i. 😀🌹🎀🎁💝🌺 MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY MONDAY JULY 27, 2O26. "FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, CONTROL YOURSELF!" 'A person without self-control…’  Proverbs 25:28 NLT THE BOY said, ‘He made me do it, Dad. The gang terrorised students, extorting, bullying, and even injuring others. He was regarded as "untouchable," and his group gained influence - notoriety. He lived large, dressed in designer clothes, and drove expensive cars. However, following a violent incident on campus that involved his group, a major investigation was launched by the authorities. The cult leader was arrested and expelled. His supporters disbanded and fled. Years later, while the students he terrorised built careers, he remained jobless, shunned, and miserable.* *The cult leader had his time. So did the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders who came to arrest and humiliate Jesus Christ. He told them, "...this is your hour, and the power of darkness." As these malicious zealots exuded the euphoria of their "exploit" of capturing Jesus, as if He were a robber, He queried them, "Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?" Their rude attitude was unnecessary and a mismatch with Christ's peaceful disposition. They lacked the authority and courage to accost Christ all the time He ministered in the temple and everywhere; but why now? Christ could only rationalise their behaviour and reconcile Himself to it, considering it was their time. It was a time when the power of darkness was permitted to do its worst, which would eventually redound to God's purpose - and to humanity's redemption.* *We often witness the "triumphing of the wicked," where dubious individuals exploit the political space, misuse power, and afflict the righteous. We find people "prospering" in business by cutting corners and through corruption. People gain fame and fortune by adopting perverted lifestyles and performances. We live in a time when evil is called good, and good evil - all to the frustration of the righteous. There is even a rise in the active persecution of Christians around the world. But we should be comforted by the submission of our Lord: it is their time. Consider also that "the triumphing of the wicked is short..." (Job 20:5).* *If you are a true follower of Christ, keep walking with Him. Do not be dismayed by the attitudes and actions of the worldly. The temporary humiliation of Christ resulted in eternal honour and our redemption. Our present frustrations will soon result in permanent favour.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*Believer, benchmark not with unbelievers - they're in a different race.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *EXODUS 37-38*📜📜 It Is Their Time https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 77: I HAVE DECIDED TO FOLLOW JESUS; GHS 79: THE WAY OF THE CROSS LEADS HOME; AND GHS 89: O JESUS, I HAVE PROMISED* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna27thJuly2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [26/07, 10:30 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```MONDAY 27TH JULY, 2026``` *OVERCOMING SUPERSTITION* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🧜🏽‍♂️🧞⚠️‼️🛑❌🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽 📜📜```TEXT:ACTS 17:22-31```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious" (ACTS 17:22).*_ *In the mid-1800s, Kgosi Sechele I, a tribal chief of the Bakwena people in today's Botswana, held great power as a rainmaker. The people trusted him for their crops, herds, and survival. But after months of learning, praying, and soul-searching, Sechele decided to follow Jesus Christ. In 1848, he was baptized.* *It is not surprising that we find youths today, out of fear, engaging in superstitious and occult practices which put them in bondage to Satan despite available freedom in Christ. Such youths will incur God's wrath if they don't repent, renounce the occult practices and surrender to Christ.* *True children of God must put their trust in God alone. *INTRODUCTION* Do you know that God has His own time table for every event in your life? *1. The Arrest of the Omnipotent by the Destroyers* a. *Question* Do I recognize that God is fully aware of the tough times I am passing through and it is by His permission? *2. The Allowed Operation by the Divine* b. *Question* Can I patiently trust God's sovereignty when He allows temporary trials or the seeming success of evil? *3. The Afar-Off Disciple* Peter's fall and denial of Jesus did not happen overnight. It started with self confidence when he did not take the warnings of Jesus about His betrayal very seriously. This self confidence affected him that he did not draw from the river of grace when Jesus asked him to join Him in prayers at the Garden of Gethsemane. He slept off throughout. GOD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

    Psalms 145:15-16 (NIV)
*m15 The EYES OF ALL LOOK TO YOU, and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 You OPEN YOUR HAND AND SATISFY THE DESIRES of every living thing.

God’s design is to take care of every area of your life all the days of your life. It has always been so and still remains the same because any attempt to take care of ‘mankind’ without God is purely satanic. That is exactly what the tower of Babel in Genesis 11 represented. The people wanted to build a city, society and ultimately a community that was totally opposed to everything that God stood for.

Genesis 11:4 (AMP) says, They said, “Come, let us build A CITY FOR OURSELVES, and a tower whose top will reach into the heavens, and let US MAKE A [FAMOUS] NAME FOR OURSELVES, so that WE WILL NOT BE SCATTERED [into separate groups] and be dispersed over the surface of the entire earth [AS THE LORD INSTRUCTED]”. They wanted to gather in one place, take care of themselves and make a famous name for ‘themselves’ when God actually prepared a garden for them and said to multiply and fill the earth (Genesis 1:28).

No government of any nation was designed to take care of you; neither is your job or business supposed to take care of you. You are God’s absolute responsibility!

The truth is, before you were born, your Father – God, went ahead of you and made everything ready for you to live and enjoy the abundant and fulfilling life. There is no season of your life that God has not covered. This is why you must reject those anxious thoughts and learn to trust God every day instead of focusing on your needs.
1 Peter 5:7 says, “casting ALL YOUR CARE upon Him, for HE CARES FOR YOU.” The original Greek literally reads: “casting your DISTRACTIONS upon Him because He is RESPONSIBLE for you!” Needs are just distractions of satan to stop you from looking up to God and trusting Him.

Faith however is knowing that God is responsible for you. Learn to look up to God and see what He has prepared for you. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 says, “… eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the THINGS which GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM. But God HAS REVEALED them to us through His Spirit...”

There are ‘things’ that God has prepared for you and as you look up to Him today, the Holy Spirit is revealing them to you. To ‘reveal’ is to make manifest. You don’t have to struggle and be apprehensive about them, you only need to rest and *see* them because it is the work of the Holy Ghost to reveal and lead you to them.

I know God has prepared and made ready your desire – job, house, children, new relationships, contract etc. Like today’s text, His hands are opened to you today so go ahead and receive all that is yours every day in Jesus’ Name.

    DECLARE
I have good God and Father Who’s hands are continually opened to me! Thank You Father because You have gone ahead of me and made all things ready! I reject fear, worry and anxiety and look up to You because everything is working and all things are falling into place for my good because You love me in Jesus’ Name.

2 I LOOK UP to the mountains and hills, LONGING FOR GOD’S HELP. But then I REALIZE that our TRUE HELP and protection come ONLY FROM THE LORD, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth.

Nobody makes it through life and becomes all that God wants him/her to become without the help of another person and I'm a testimony of a man whom God has marvelously helped!

It was a pitiful place to be when that sick impotent man at the pool of Bethesda told Jesus in John 5:7, “… Sir, I HAVE NO MAN to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

It is abnormal when a child of God finds himself or herself in a place without help. That place where you don't have anybody to help you or where the needed help is delayed or denied. This is the reason it is important to position yourself in a place where you can constantly receive and enjoy the help that comes from God - from above!

You have to stop looking for help in the wrong places where you will never find it. To receive and enjoy God's help, you must turn your eyes completely to Him alone like we see the Psalmist doing in our text. The Psalmist saw the mountains that surrounded Jerusalem but refused to put his trust in them but rather wholly in God! The truth is, without God, the help of man is vain!

Isaiah 31:1 says, “Woe to THOSE WHO GO DOWN TO EGYPT FOR HELP, and RELY on HORSES, who TRUST IN CHARIOTS because THEY ARE MANY, and IN HORSEMEN because they ARE VERY STRONG, but who do not LOOK to the Holy One of Israel, nor SEEK THE LORD!” Who are you looking up to in your heart?

The king told the woman who cried to him for help during the famine 2 Kings 6:27 (MSG), “...If GOD won’t help you, where on earth can I go for help? To the granary? To the dairy?”

When you look completely to God especially in the place of prayer and praise, He raises help for you, sometimes from least expected sources!

When your confidence is rested solely on God, you'll begin to see Him raise people from all over to come and help you because true help is from above!

    DECLARE
Father, my eyes are upon You! I look to You because You're my Help, strength, and comfort. Thank You Holy Spirit my Helper, I can do all things because you empower me. I receive today all the associations needed to move me to the next level. I receive help today in Jesus' Name.

    STEP OFF THE SHORES

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

    Psalms 107:23-24
23 Those who go down to the sea in ships, who DO BUSINESS on GREAT WATERS,
24 THEY SEE THE WORKS of the LORD, and HIS WONDERS in the deep.

Many are afraid of stepping off the shores into the deep ‘oceans’ of life in order to do business with God’s Word. They are fearful and will not dare to act by giving motion to their faith and because of that they don’t get the big ‘catch.'

God is calling us to come off the shores of life and take an adventure of faith by acting upon His Word.

When you have a revelation of the nature and character of God it won’t be ‘hard’ to trust what He says because faith isn’t a leap in the dark but a leap on the Word of God. This is exactly what Peter did when Jesus told him to come. Peter acted upon Jesus’ Word and walked on water (Matthew 14:19-20). There were no ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ for Peter!

What made Peter walk on water in simple faith was because he knew the character of Jesus. He knew that Jesus could be trusted and that He wouldn’t lie to him. Though it didn’t make sense to walk on water, Peter acted on the Words from the mouth of Jesus. This is why you must understand that faith isn’t a mechanical process that we follow but the result of a relationship we enjoy. Your faith is strengthened in the place of fellowship because you cannot trust who you do not know.

Peter said, “… Lord, IF IT IS YOU, command me to come to You ON THE WATER,” so Jesus said, “Come!” (Matthew 14:28-29). It had to be Jesus “not someone else” for Peter to step out of that boat. Those who know their God are strong and they do exploits (Daniel 11:32).

It is important as a child of God that every day you have special moments of devotion spent alone in fellowship with God. I call these moments ‘private devotion’ while some call it ‘quiet time.’ It is a time to be alone with God in meditation in His Word as you allow His Words to become personal to you. This is where faith is born. Without times like these, the life of faith will be a struggle.

When you know that God’s Word is the very Word of God speaking to you, it won’t be a struggle to act upon His Word like you would the word of your financial advisor, doctor, or coach. Like we see in our text, it is those who do business in ‘great’ waters that see the wonders of God! If you want to see the wonders, then stop playing safe! Do what He says to do!

Step off the shores today into the deep waters and experience new levels of victory.

    DECLARE
There are no impossibilities because the Word of God is my foundation for life. I know my Father and my faith is strengthened to act upon His Word. Thank You Father because Your Word can be depended upon because they are spoken from Your lips. I believe that I am healed, blessed, and favored in all that I do in Jesus' Name.

    A BLANK CHECK

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

John 15:7 (AMP) - If you REMAIN IN ME and MY WORDS REMAIN IN YOU [that is, if we are VITALLY UNITED and My message lives in your heart], ask WHATEVER YOU WISH and it will be done for you.

In the earlier days of my walk with God; because of the things I was taught, I felt that serving God was going to be a boring religious walk but I came to discover that it is actually an adventure of faith!

When you receive the life of God you are actually given the liberty to dream and see your dreams come to pass! As you grow and mature in fellowship with God, you will come to discover that He literally gives you a blank check to fill because you will find your heart resonating with Him. While it is true that Jesus said in Matthew 7:14 that, “… NARROW is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there ARE FEW who find it,” we must never forget that it is not a ‘narrow life’ in itself; it is ‘the way’ that leads to this amazing and glorious life that is narrow! It is narrow and difficult because it leaves men with no option except Christ Jesus as the way! While many religions believe there are different ways to God, we know as believers that Jesus is the only way to God and many find it ‘difficult’ to accept this simple truth.

There is nothing small about the life of a child of God because it is only in God that you can see all your dreams come to fulfillment. Paul told the church in Corinth, “We didn't fence you in. The SMALLNESS you feel comes from WITHIN YOU. Your LIVES AREN'T SMALL, but you're LIVING THEM IN A SMALL WAY” (2 Corinthians 6:12 MSG). We live our lives in small ways when we don't dream big and our text gives us a pathway to having big dreams and seeing the coming to pass.

The day you get born again, you are ‘legally’ united with God, but you become ‘vitally’ united with Him as you crave, practice and stay in His presence through prayer and the study and meditation of the Word. The same way two people legally become married when they say, “I do’' but begin to enjoy the vital benefits of that relationship as they fellowship with each other on a daily basis!

When you are vitally connected to God in fellowship through His Word, He gives you a blank check called, “…  WHATEVER YOU WISH…” because your wish cannot be outside His will and purpose for your life! Literally, God makes Himself vulnerable to your desires when you are united with Him in thought, purpose and will. The secret to accurately filling this blank check is to be in constant fellowship with God.

    PRAYER
Father, teach me to know You better each passing day as I look into Your Word and stay with You in fellowship. I want my heart to beat with Yours because I know that as I abide in You, I have and receive in full all that my heart desires in Jesus mighty name.

    SATAN HAS BEEN DISARMED

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Colossians 2:15 - Having DISARMED PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

An unhealthy picture and image of the devil can cause believers to wait and wallow in defeat and shame! The image of Satan that you have should be that which is painted by the Word of God in the New Testament! Your picture of satan cannot be from books or testimonies based on the experiences of others because whatever they say outside the Word of God is a lie. John 8:44 (TPT) says that the devil is, “… FULL OF NOTHING BUT LIES—lying is his native tongue. He is a master of deception and the father of lies!’

The truth of God’s Word according to our text tells is that the devil has been disarmed! When an armed person is disarmed, it means the person no longer has what it takes to oppress, intimidate, and afflict harm again. In the same way, the devil is no longer armed with anything with which he can hurt you again! He doesn’t have anything to harm you with!

The devil’s chief arm with which to oppressed man was the power of death. No wonder Hebrews 2:14 says, “Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who HAD the POWER OF DEATH, that is, the devil.” Notice that scripture says, “… who HAD…” because he no longer has the power of death! Glory to God!

When John saw the resurrected Jesus on the island of Patmos in Revelation 1:18 He said to him, “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the KEYS OF HADES and of DEATH.” Jesus now holds the authority of death and hell (hades) and that authority has been given to the believer! Jesus gave it to the believer and commissioned the church in Matthew 28:18 (TPT) saying, “… ALL AUTHORITY of the universe has been given to me,” then in Mark 16:17 He says, “And these signs will follow those who believe: IN MY NAME they will CAST OUT DEMONS; they will speak with new tongues.”

Until you start seeing the devil as a defeated personality, you'll struggle to wield your God given authority in Christ over him. Jesus has given you His name and that is what it takes to walk and live in victory! See the devil as the bible says and walk in victory in Jesus name!

    DECLARE
In Christ Jesus I stand victorious over all the works of the devil. Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection stripped the devil of his authority and gave me the authority to walk in victory over every demon and devil in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In His name I rule and reign over every assault of the enemy because victory is mine!

    BLOOD BROTHERS

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Proverbs 18:24 - A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is A FRIEND who sticks closer than a brother.

Being a Christian in church is not a social gathering of some very nice people who have decided to do only good. It is a spiritual brotherhood! 1 Peter 2:17 says, “Honor all people. LOVE THE BROTHERHOOD. Fear God. Honor the king.” There is blood involved in our fellowship with God and one another and it is the blood of Jesus. Hebrews 12:24 says that we have come,
“… to the BLOOD OF SPRINKLING that speaks better things than that of Abel.”

The spirituality of our faith is that we are in a blood covenant with Jesus and our fellow believers, and this is what makes us impervious to the works of darkness.

Today’s text says, “… there is a friend who STICKS CLOSER than a brother.” To fully understand and appreciate the text, you’ll have to read it through the lens of the culture and the times in which it was written.

A bible commentary had this to say:

In Bible days, when two people would become ‘friends,’ they participated in a ceremony where they cut themselves, took the blood, and commingled each other’s blood. After the ceremony, the two were called “friends.” The word ‘friend’ as used in Proverbs 18:24 meant “Covenant friend” or “blood brother.” It implied the union of two people in a blood covenant and this covenant remained in effect until both covenant friends died. When one of the covenant friends died, the other extended the benefits and blessings of the covenant to the family of the deceased covenant friend. A blood brother is not someone that you share the same womb with but someone that you are in covenant with by blood.

So, Proverbs 18:24 can be read as “… but there is a BLOOD BROTHER who sticks closer than a brother.” The word ‘stick’ means ‘to hold up,’ and it speaks of loyalty, commitment, and devotion resulting in life and preservation. Deuteronomy 4:4 says, “But you who HELD FAST to the Lord your God ARE ALIVE today, every one of you.”

Jesus is our friend that sticks closer than a brother. He gave His blood for us! We are His blood brothers! Through faith in His shed blood, we have become blood brothers with Him. Ephesians 2:13 says, “But now IN CHRIST JESUS, you (Arome) who once were far away have been BROUGHT NEAR BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST” [Emphasis mine]. The blood of Jesus has brought us near! We are no longer outsiders. We are insiders because there is blood between Jesus and us!

As you go out today, I want you to be conscious of the covenant that you have with Jesus! His blood flows through your veins. Be conscious of His blood (life) that was shed for you and live victoriously over anything the devil throws at you! Remember that your blood brother will never leave you nor forsake you!

    DECLARE
I am in covenant with Jesus. He is my blood brother! His life is my life. I am a partaker of His blood and there is no way I can lose! I declare today that the blood is my insurance against any plague, disaster, or evil that may come my way! My life is driven by the power of His blood and I am victorious in Jesus' Name!
