EUPHORIA Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) September 17, 2025 BEING WITH JESUS REV. AROME E. TOKULA Acts 4:13 - When they saw the COURAGE of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that THESE MEN HAD BEEN WITH Jesus. We are admonished in Scriptures from Romans 12:11 (TPT) to, “Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, KEEPING YOUR PASSION TOWARD HIM BOILING HOT! Radiate with the GLOW OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him.” The reason you are given this charge as a believer is because your spiritual life and walk with God is the most important thing in your life. Your time spent with God in prayer and study of the Word is far more important than what you do for Him because your strength comes from Him! The Bible says to keep our passion towards God boiling and the way the early disciples kept this glow and stayed passionate according to our text is that “… these men HAD BEEN WITH Jesus.” Spiritual ruin doesn’t come in a day; it is always a result of neglecting the things that build your spiritual life. Neglect is subtle because most times it is letting 'just' one day pass, then another, then another, then another... until you begin to wonder, "how did I get here?" This is why you should place value on your time spent with God. Spend time with Jesus. Always be in living contact. Psalms 84:7 says, “They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.” If you don’t make an appearance in Zion (God’s presence) you can’t go from strength to strength! Being with Jesus makes the whole difference. It supersedes your abilities and any worldly advantage and frame anyone can count on. You can be unschooled and ordinary yet do extraordinary things and live an extraordinary life when you give attention to spiritual things. Practice the presence of Jesus. Ephesians 5:26 (MSG) says, “Christ's LOVE makes the church WHOLE. His WORDS EVOKE HER BEAUTY, EVERYTHING HE DOES and SAYS is DESIGNED to bring THE BEST OUT OF HER.”(MSG). Spending time daily with Jesus brings out the beautiful life of God that is in you. Don't give up on yourself, the best of you comes out when you give attention to the things that matter. Everything that God has put in you is coming out. Like we say in CFCIC, you are becoming all by God's Word. Don't exchange your time of fellowship with Jesus for 'self-engaging’ efforts and activities. Keep the fellowship intact, maintain the daily routines and see the beautiful life in you manifested in everything around you! DECLARE I have the beautiful, marvelous life of an overcomer in me and I am daily becoming everything His Word says I am. I will not substitute my time of fellowship for self-engaging activities because God is the source of my strength! Through Him, my life is moving from glory to glory in Jesus' mighty Name.
