The Kitchen Newsletter Omodolapo Ogunye Good day, The Kitchen explores, prepares and serves the contents in the Body of the Word as the delicacies of God—to create the form of the Father on earth, to make the earth in His likeness, and to take charge of the economic destinies of nations for God. Relax, and journey with me through the Scriptures as we behold the Body of the Word. In Revelation 1:1–2 and 12–17, John the Apostle, on the island of Patmos, encountered Jesus Christ—the Word of God. What he saw was not an abstract idea, but a living person. He saw: A man clothed in a robe reaching down to His feet A golden sash across His chest Hair white like wool Eyes like blazing fire Feet like glowing bronze A voice like rushing waters A face shining like the sun in its full brilliance This vision is critical: the Word of God is a living person, and His Body is the image of the invisible God. The Body as the Revelation of the Father According to Hebrews 1:3, the Son is “the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being.” This means: The invisible God has been made visible The Father is revealed through the Body of the Word Jesus Christ continually reveals the Father to us As written in John 1:18 and John 17:26, this revelation is not past—it is ongoing. Today, the Body of the Word is the means by which the Father is made known. The Face of God and the Language of Scripture The Body of the Word is the face of God. And every detail in that Body: Is a scriptural description Is a testimony about Christ Is a revelation of God’s nature As Jesus said in John 5:39, the Scriptures testify of Him. So when we study the Body of the Word, we are not just reading text—we are encountering a Person. The Unfolding Produces Light Scripture tells us in Psalm 119:130: “The unfolding of Your word gives light.” Every detailed description in the Body of the Word, when unfolded: Produces light Releases understanding Reveals the knowledge of the glory of God As seen in 2 Corinthians 4:6, this light is the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Christ. The Body as Blazing Fire — The Hunger of the Father One powerful description is this: “His eyes were like blazing fire.” (Revelation 1:14) This is more than imagery—it is revelation. The Body of the Word is: Like blazing fire A figure describing divine intensity The aggressive hunger of the Father The Father has a deep longing—an intense desire—and it is centered on the Body of the Word. The Body as the Food of God Jesus said in John 6:35 & 51: “I am the bread of life… the living bread that came down from heaven.” This reveals: The Body of the Word is the Bread of God The only food that satisfies the Father The daily provision required before Him As seen in Exodus 25:30, the Bread of Presence must always remain before God. The Body as the Lamp of Illumination The blazing fire also reveals something else: The Body of the Word is the Lamp of God. Fire produces light Light brings illumination Illumination gives sight As Matthew 6:22 says, “The eye is the lamp of the body.” Without the Body of the Word: There is no light There is no sight There is no illumination The Responsibility of Feeding A lamp does not burn without fuel. In Leviticus 24, God commanded that oil must be supplied continually so the lamp never goes out. This teaches us: Feeding on the Body of the Word is the fuel Consistent feeding produces consistent illumination What you do not feed cannot give you light If the Body of the Word is not engaged, illumination cannot flow. The Body as the Fire on the Altar The Body of the Word is also: The fire on the altar The kitchen of God The dining table of God In the tabernacle: The altar of burnt offering functioned as both preparation and presentation Fire was never allowed to go out This is a shadow of a deeper reality: The Body of the Word is where God’s food is prepared The Body of the Word is where God feeds The fire on that altar is the aggressive hunger of the Father There is no altar without fire. There is no kitchen without fire. And there is no revelation without the Body of the Word. Final Charge If you desire light, understanding, and revelation: Feed on the Body of the Word. Fuel the lamp. Keep the fire burning. Because the Body you refuse to engage cannot illuminate your path. Thank you for joining me today.
