*SERMON: LIGHT BURSTING THROUGH THE DARKNESS*
*Text: Psalm 112:4*
_“Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous”_

*INTRODUCTION*
Darkness is not just the absence of light. It’s delay, sickness, debt, depression, confusion. Everyone faces a “dark night” season.
But Psalm 112:4 gives us a divine promise: _For the upright, darkness is temporary. Light must dawn._
Today God wants to announce to someone: Your dawn is closer than your night.

*Theme:* God specializes in breaking His light into the darkest seasons of upright, compassionate people.

3 REVELATIONS ABOUT GOD’S LIGHT*

*1. Darkness is Not the Final Address – “Even in darkness…”*
i= The word “even” means God saw your darkness before you entered it. He’s not surprised.
ii= Darkness has an expiry date. Night never lasts forever. John 1:5 says “the darkness has not overcome it”.
iii=. Application: Stop calling your situation “permanent”. Call it what God calls it: “a night before dawn”.
_Testimony trigger:_ Joseph’s prison was dark, but dawn came with a crown.

*2. Light Dawns for the Upright*
1. “Upright” = straight, honest, no crooked deals, no double life. Prov 11:3 “The integrity of the upright guides them”.
2. God’s light is attracted to holiness. Sin creates darkness, righteousness attracts dawn.
3. Application: Check your hands and heart today. What you do in secret determines what God does for you in public.
Uprightness is not religion, it’s wisdom. It keeps the channel open for God’s light.

*3. Light Bursts Through the Compassionate*
_“for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous”_
1. God’s light doesn’t stop at you. It’s meant to burst THROUGH you to others.
2. Mercy is a magnet. When you give light to people in their darkness, God sends light to you in your darkness. Matt 5:7
3. Application: Who can you show grace to this week? Your seed of compassion may be the key that unlocks your own dawn.
The widow of Zarephath fed Elijah in her famine, and her light burst through the same day.

*SIGNS YOUR DAWN IS NEAR*
1. The pain becomes intense - birth pains before delivery
2. God starts sending “small lights” - ideas, helpers, scriptures
3. You get tired of complaining and start praying
4. Doors that were shut begin to “shake”

*WHAT TO DO WHILE WAITING FOR DAWN*
1. *Stay upright* - Don’t cut corners because of pressure. Keep your integrity.
2. *Stay compassionate* - Help someone even with your little. Light attracts light.
3. *Stay expectant* - Psalm 130:6 “My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning”.
4. *Keep declaring* - Call your morning forth. Don’t curse your night.

*CONCLUSION*
Child of God, your current darkness is not denial. It’s a setup for a dramatic dawn.
The same God who said “Let there be light” in Genesis 1:3 can speak light into your business, health, marriage, ministry today.
If you are upright, gracious, and compassionate, then Psalm 112:4 is your covenant. Light MUST dawn.

*PRAYER POINTS / PRAYER
1. Father, let Your light burst into every dark area of my life now - Psalm 112:4
2. Lord, make me upright. Remove every crookedness blocking my dawn
3. God of compassion, use me to bring light to others so my own dawn will break
4. Every power sitting on my morning, scatter by fire!

*Prayer:*
Father, thank You that You are the God of dawn. Shine into my darkness today.
Make me upright before You, gracious to people, and righteous in my ways.
Let light burst through my delay, my sickness, my shame. Bring me into my morning speedily, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*Declaration:* _My night is ending. My light has dawned. I step into my morning now!_

Stay Blessed, carrier of light
