📘 Daily Devotion — June 25 | Acts 4:4 (NKJV) 💯 The Power of God's Word Acts 4:4 takes place during a time of growing opposition against the early church. Peter and John had boldly preached about Jesus Christ after the healing of the lame man, and many religious leaders were disturbed by their message. Yet despite resistance and threats, God's work continued to advance. Luke records that many who heard the message believed, and the number of believers grew to about five thousand men. This verse demonstrates the unstoppable power of God's Word. Human opposition could not prevent the gospel from reaching hearts. The religious leaders could question, criticize, and even persecute the apostles, but they could not stop God from drawing people to Himself. Whenever the truth of Christ is faithfully proclaimed, God works through His Word to bring conviction, faith, and transformation. The growth of the early church was not the result of clever strategies, popularity, or human persuasion. It was the result of people hearing and believing the message of Jesus Christ. Faith was born as people responded to the truth of the gospel and placed their trust in the risen Savior. Believers today can find encouragement in this reality. We live in a world where opposition to biblical truth often exists, yet God's Word remains powerful. The gospel still changes lives, restores broken hearts, forgives sin, and brings people into a relationship with God. Our responsibility is to faithfully share the message and trust God with the results. This verse also reminds us of the importance of listening to God's Word with an open heart.
