We believers have no sin held to our account. Even Adam's sin has been removed from us who believe and have placed our faith in Jesus alone for our salvation. We have been born again in Christ, and we are new creatures. In addition to Adam's sin, we have been forgiven of ALL of our own sins. We have been fully justified, redeemed and washed clean in the blood of Christ. Moreover, by the grace of God, through our faith in Jesus and his finished work, we have been set free from the condemnation of the law. We cannot sin, for if sin is transgression of the law, and you cannot transgress a law unless you are under the law and subject to the law, we believers are dead to the law and made alive in Christ. We have been set free indeed, just as Jesus promised. Do we still do things that would be against the law if we were under the law? Yes, but we are no longer under the law.
