People who say that baptism in water is necessary don't know what to do about the thief on the cross. He wasn't baptized in water and yet he quite obviously was saved. The grace shown to the thief is the same grace shown to us. Our faith in Jesus as our only source of salvation saves us through his grace -- not our works. We are washed clean in his blood; not the water of a river. We are baptized through the word and the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit into Christ who was baptized for us to fulfill all righteousness and old covenant demands. #jesuschrist #believe #faith #believe #grace
