𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗽

We believers are the body of Christ. We ARE the church. All people, regardless of race or history or any other factor, who have placed their faith in Jesus and his finished work as sufficient for their salvation are members together of the body.

Romans 12:4-5 NASB
"For just as we have many parts in one body and all the body’s parts do not have the same function, [5] so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually parts of one another."

The new covenant, not the new one with Israel and Judah (Jeremiah 31:31-34) but the one between the Father and the Son, the one written in the sacrificial blood of Jesus that he called the "𝗰𝘂𝗽", is for the benefit of the church.

Luke 22:41-42 NASB
"And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, [42] saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝗽 from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.'”

Luke 22:20 NASB
"And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This 𝗰𝘂𝗽, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in My blood."

John 18:10-11 KJV
"Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. [11] Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the 𝗰𝘂𝗽 which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?"

We believers are made partakers in the 𝗰𝘂𝗽, the new blood atonement covenant between the Father and the Son, because we are in Christ as one body.

Galatians 3:24-29 NASB
"Therefore the Law has become our guardian to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. [25] But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. [26] For you are all sons and daughters of God through faith in Christ Jesus. [27] For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. [29] And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise."
