Let us speak with kindness, act with respect, show patience, and offer understanding. Before we judge, let us remember that we also need grace. Before we speak harshly, let us ask: “Would I want someone to speak to me this way?” PRAYER Dear Lord, help us to treat others with the love, kindness and respect we desire for ourselves. May our words encourage, our actions bring peace, and our lives reflect Your character. In Jesus’ name, Amen. May your day be filled with grace, peace and kindness.

The Greatest Commandment In Matthew 22:37, Jesus said: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This verse is a powerful reminder of the greatest commandment, calling us to a wholehearted devotion to God. It challenges us to examine the depth and sincerity of our love for Him, urging us to go beyond following the rules of religious traditions and to cultivate an intimate, all-encompassing relationship with our Creator. Loving God with all our heart means that our emotions and desires are aligned with His will. It means that we prioritize Him above all else, allowing His love to shape our affections and guide our decisions. When we love God with all our soul, we are committing our very being to Him. Our identity, purpose, and existence are rooted in His love, and we find our true fulfillment in living for His glory. To love God with all our mind is to engage our intellect in the pursuit of knowing Him more deeply. It involves meditating on His Word, seeking His wisdom, and allowing His truth to transform our thoughts and perspectives. This holistic love for God is not a one-time event but a daily, intentional choice to surrender every aspect of our lives to Him. Reflecting on this commandment, we are reminded that our love for God should be evident in every area of our lives. It should influence how we interact with others, how we spend our time, and how we use our resources. As we grow in our love for God, we become more attuned to His presence and more responsive to His leading. Today, let’s surrender our hearts, souls, and minds to God. Let us seek to deepen our relationships with Him, knowing that as we do, we will experience the fullness of His love and the abundant life He promises. Amen.

August 26 🌿 “WHO GOD IS TO ME” MY HOPE 📖 Psalm 71:5 (LLV) — “For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You have been my trust since my youth.” Hope is often spoken of as something we wish will happen. “I hope things get better.” “I hope everything works out.” “I hope tomorrow will be easier.” But biblical hope is different. It is not a wish. It is confidence placed in Someone. “For You are my hope, O Lord GOD.” The psalmist does not say, “My hope is that my circumstances will improve.” His hope is God. Then he looks backward. “You have been my trust since my youth.” There is something beautiful about faith that has lived long enough to remember. Years bring memories. Some joyful. Some painful. Some we would gladly live again. Others we are simply grateful to have survived. But when we look back, we can often see something we could not see while we were living through them. God was there. Through doors that opened. Through doors that closed. Through prayers answered as we hoped. Through prayers answered in ways we did not understand. Through beginnings. Through endings. Through laughter. Through tears. God was there. And yesterday's faithfulness becomes today's reason for hope. The psalmist does not pretend the future holds no uncertainty. Later he prays, “Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone.” He knows life changes. Strength fades. Tomorrow contains things we cannot predict. But God does not change with our seasons. The God who held us when we were young does not become less faithful as the years pass. So hope does not require us to know what happens next. Hope says, “I know who will be there.” Perhaps that is why this is the right place to finish our journey. We have called Him: My Rock. My Shepherd. My Light. My Refuge. My Strength. My Keeper. The One who walks with me. My Hiding Place. And now, after remembering all those things, we can look toward whatever comes next and say: You are my hope. A new beginning can face an unknown tomorrow because it remembers a faithful yesterday: I may not know what lies ahead, but I know the God who will be there. Reflection: When I look back over my life, where can I see God's faithfulness giving me reason to trust Him with what still lies ahead? Prayer: Heavenly Father, You have been faithful through every season of my life. Thank You for the times I recognized Your hand and for the times You were working when I could not see it. When tomorrow feels uncertain, help me remember yesterday's faithfulness. You have been my trust, and You remain my hope. Whatever years or days lie ahead, let me face them with confidence—not because I know what they hold, but because I know You will be there. In Jesus' name, Amen.

🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 238 DATE: 26TH AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: TAKE HIS YOKE UPON YOU ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:MATTHEW 11:29–30 (NKJV) “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Devotional message: Yesterday, we saw that true rest is found when we come to Jesus. Today, we go a step further: Jesus does not only invite us to come to Him for rest; He calls us to take His yoke upon us.What does it mean to take the yoke of Christ? A yoke was a wooden bar used to join animals together so that they could work and move in the same direction. Once yoked together, the animals could not simply choose their own direction independently. They had to move together under the direction of the one leading the work. Spiritually, taking the yoke of Christ speaks of surrender, submission, discipleship, and learning to walk according to His will.When you come to Jesus, you receive rest. But when you take His yoke, you surrender the right to make yourself the ultimate authority over your life.You begin to say:“Lord, not my will, but Yours be done.”This is exactly what Jesus demonstrated in His earthly life. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He prayed:Luke 22:42 (NKJV)“Nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” The Christian life is therefore not simply about receiving Jesus as Saviour while continuing to govern our lives according to our own desires. Jesus is not only Saviour; He is Lord.Taking His yoke means allowing Him to order our steps,His Word to determine our choices,His principles to govern our relationships,His will to shape our ambitions,His Spirit to direct our decisions and learning His ways and following His footsteps. The world also offers many “yokes.” The pursuit of wealth, recognition, pleasure, human approval, ambition, and worldly success can become burdens that people carry throughout their lives. Jesus offers another way.He says:“My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”This does not mean following Christ will never involve sacrifice, discipline, persecution, or difficult decisions. Jesus Himself told His disciples to take up their cross and follow Him.Rather, His yoke is “easy” because we are no longer carrying the burden of trying to be our own saviour, determining our own ultimate purpose, or living separated from the One who created us. There is a profound rest that comes from knowing:“I belong to Him. My life is in His hands. His will is my direction.” Child of God, perhaps you have come to Jesus but are still trying to control every area of your life.You want Him to save you, but not direct you.You want His blessings, but not His instructions.You want His promises, but not His yoke.You want His comfort, but not His correction.But Jesus calls us not only to come to Him, but also to take His yoke and learn from Him. True rest is not found in having complete control over your life. True rest is found in surrendering your life to the One who knows the way better than you do.And as you willingly follow Him, you will discover that His yoke leads not to bondage but to purpose, peace, joy, satisfaction, and true fulfillment.Remember Coming to Jesus gives us rest, but taking His yoke teaches us how to live in that rest. 26 August 2026 Holy Is His Name Psalm 99:3 (AMP) “Let them praise Your great and awesome name; Holy is He.” There is something powerful about simply declaring the holiness of God. Psalm 99:3 calls us to praise His “great and awesome name” because He is holy. God is not like anyone or anything else. His character is perfect, His ways are righteous, and His presence is worthy of our deepest reverence. When we truly recognize who He is, praise becomes more than something we sing—it becomes the natural response of a heart that has encountered His greatness. Sometimes life can become so busy that we focus more on our problems than on the One who is greater than every problem. But when we lift our eyes toward God and remember His holiness, our perspective changes. Our circumstances may not immediately change, but our hearts become anchored in the One who never changes. Today, pause and remember: God is holy. God is worthy. God is faithful. God is still on the throne. Let your worship not depend on how you feel or what you are facing. Praise Him because of who He is. Prayer Heavenly Father, I praise Your great and awesome name today. You alone are holy, righteous, and worthy of all honor. Forgive me for the times when I have allowed my circumstances to become bigger in my heart than You. Help me to see You for who You truly are. Teach me to approach You with reverence and to worship You with a sincere heart. May my words, thoughts, and actions bring glory to Your holy name. Even when I don't understand what You are doing, help me to trust You and continue to praise You. Holy is Your name! You alone are worthy of my praise. In Jesus' name, Amen. GOD’S BLESSINGS IN UNEXPECTED PLACES When God Brings Blessings to You from the Most Surprising Corners Key Scriptures: Genesis 50:20; 1 Kings 17:8–16; Ruth 2:2–12; Psalm 23:5–6 There are times when God surprises us with blessings in the most unlikely places. We often think that our breakthroughs will come through specific people, opportunities, or plans we have in mind. But God isn’t confined by our expectations. As Psalm 23:5 reminds us, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.” God can set a feast for us even in the wilderness, provide for us through unexpected sources, and open doors in places we never thought to look. Take Elijah, for example. During a terrible famine, God could have directed him to a rich household, but instead, He led him to a widow in Zarephath (1 Kings 17:8–16). From that unlikely situation came miraculous provision. Similarly, Ruth went out to gather leftover grain, but God guided her steps to Boaz’s field, where she found favor, sustenance, and a new beginning (Ruth 2:2–12; 4:13–17). What may seem like a mundane task could actually be a divine setup. The place you think is insignificant might just be where God plans to unveil your next blessing. Joseph’s journey also illustrates how God can transform unexpected places into stepping stones for our destiny. The prison may have seemed like a place of despair, but God turned it into a space for preparation and connection (Genesis 39:20–23; 41:1–14). What Joseph perceived as a setback became the very path to his elevation. So, don’t overlook your current situation or season. God can shower you with blessings in the wilderness, lift you up in obscurity, grant you favor among strangers, and create opportunities where you only see obstacles. Be mindful not to get so caught up in how you think God should bless you that you overlook the blessings that come in unexpected ways. Stay prayerful, obedient, humble, and open to divine opportunities. Your blessing might show up through someone you didn’t see coming, in a place that feels unfamiliar, as a small chance, or through a door you nearly passed by. While God’s ways can be surprising, His faithfulness is unwavering. The spot you least anticipate could very well be where your testimony begins. Closing Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for being beyond the limits of human expectations and circumstances. We trust You to guide us to the places You’ve prepared for us. Lord, please open our spiritual eyes so we can spot divine opportunities. Lead us to places filled with favor, provision, purpose, and destiny. May unexpected doors swing open, surprising helpers come forth, and blessings find us according to Your perfect will. Father, grant us the wisdom to appreciate small beginnings and not overlook ordinary chances. Like Ruth, help us to be in the right field at the right moment. Like Elijah, help us to see Your provision, even when it comes from an unexpected source. We declare that our blessings will not pass us by. What You have set aside for us will find us, even in places we never imagined. Transform our wilderness into a land of provision, our obscurity into a realm of favor, and our everyday steps into divine appointments. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
