❓ Is Belief in the Divinity of Jesus a Belief in a Metaphysical Issue? ❓ Certainly not, although we see in life people who studied the New Testament and believed in Christ. But within the human entity itself, we find the transformation that may begin with a change in behaviour but moves to what is more sublime than moral behaviour: union with Jesus. This is what we see in the books of leaders of the mystical life, East and West—from Anthony the Great in the East to Eckhart in the West.
