  • Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

    I am reaching out to your ministry because I desperately need prayer.

    I have been going through a very deep spiritual struggle, and I feel lost, frightened, and spiritually exhausted. I love Jesus Christ and I sincerely want to follow Him, but I have become deeply afraid about my eternal salvation.

    Matthew 7:21–23 has been weighing extremely heavily upon me. When I read Jesus' warning about people saying, “Lord, Lord,” but being told that He never knew them, I become terrified that somehow I could be one of those people.

    I am deeply afraid of hell and of being separated from God forever.

    I examine my life and see so many weaknesses, failures, sins, inconsistencies, and areas where I struggle. I keep thinking that I am not doing enough, that I am not good enough, or that perhaps God does not truly accept me.

    Sometimes I struggle to believe that God is truly merciful and gracious toward me. His judgment and holiness can seem so overwhelming that I forget how enormous His love and grace are.

    I know intellectually that salvation is by grace through faith and not by my own works, but my heart struggles to rest in that truth.

    I feel as though I am constantly trying to make myself right with God, yet I know I cannot save myself.

    I need Jesus.

    I need His mercy.

    I need His grace.

    I need His forgiveness.

    I need the Holy Spirit to transform me.

    I need to know that I am truly loved and accepted by God through Christ.

    Please pray that God would take away this overwhelming condemnation and replace it with genuine biblical assurance.

    Please pray that I would understand Matthew 7:21–23 correctly and not allow fear to destroy my relationship with Jesus.

    Please pray that I would truly know Jesus—not merely know about Him.

    Please pray that the Holy Spirit would search my heart, reveal anything that needs to change, lead me into genuine repentance, and give me a deeper love for God.

    Please pray that I would stop trying to save myself through my own efforts and learn to completely trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

    Please pray that Romans 8:1 would become deeply rooted in my heart:

    “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

    Please also pray that I would truly believe the words of Jesus:

    “Whoever comes to me I will never drive away.” — John 6:37

    I don't want to run away from God because I am afraid of Him.

    I want to run toward Him.

    I want my relationship with Jesus to become real, deep, genuine, and unshakable.

    Please pray for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, renewed faith, spiritual discernment, freedom from condemnation, freedom from fear, genuine repentance, and a restored joy in my salvation.

    Please pray that God would help me surrender everything to Him and trust His character even when my emotions tell me otherwise.

    I am asking you to please stand with me in prayer.

    Please pray for my mind, heart, soul, faith, salvation, relationship with Jesus, and my entire life.

    I especially ask that you pray that I would come to understand the difference between Holy Spirit conviction that draws me toward Christ and condemnation that makes me believe I am hopeless and rejected.

    I don't want to be a fake Christian.

    I don't want to merely have religious words.

    I want to know Jesus Christ personally and sincerely.

    I want to love Him.

    I want to follow Him.

    I want to surrender my life to Him.

    And I want to spend eternity with Him.

    Please pray that God would meet me exactly where I am and lead me into a deep assurance that rests not in my ability to be perfect, but in the mercy, grace, righteousness, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

    Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to pray for me.

    May the Lord bless you and everyone in your ministry abundantly for standing in the gap for people who are struggling.

    In the precious name of Jesus Christ,

    Amen.

    With heartfelt gratitude and Christian love,

  • TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS:

    SERMON TOPIC:

    THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEVERS ARE NOT THOSE WHO LEAVE THE CHURCH.

    Theme:
    Examining the danger of remaining around the things of God while the heart is far from God
    Scripture: Matthew 7:21–23; Revelation 3:1–3; Luke 18:9–14

    Church, let me begin with a statement that may shock you:
    The most dangerous believer is not always the one who leaves the church. Sometimes, it is the one who remains in the church but leaves Christ in the heart.
    Some people leave the church physically, and everybody notices.
    But there are others who remain in the congregation, sing the songs, carry the Bible, attend services, shout “Amen,” give offerings, quote Scriptures—and yet their hearts have slowly moved away from God.
    They have not left the building, but they have left the Presence.

    Jesus warned us that there would be people who would say, “Lord, Lord,” and yet He would say, “I never knew you.” — Matthew 7:23.
    This means church attendance is not the same thing as spiritual transformation.
    You can sit in church and still be far from God.
    You can know Christian language and not know Christ.
    You can serve in a department and secretly serve your flesh.
    You can have a title without having a testimony.
    The question is not merely:
    “Am I in church?”
    The deeper question is:
    “Is Christ truly ruling my life?”

    KEY BIBLE VERSES.

    1. Matthew 7:21–23 — “Lord, Lord”
    Jesus said:
    «“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven…”»
    Notice something frightening: these people called Jesus “Lord.”
    They knew the language of faith.
    They even claimed to have done mighty works.
    Yet Jesus said, “I never knew you.”

    Spiritual lesson:
    It is possible to be familiar with the things of God without having a genuine relationship with God.
    Church activity cannot replace spiritual intimacy.
    2. Revelation 3:1 — “You have a name that you are alive”
    Jesus told the church at Sardis:
    «“Thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.”»
    What a frightening diagnosis!
    The church had a reputation for being alive, but Jesus saw something different.
    People saw activity.
    Jesus saw the heart.
    People saw the appearance.
    Jesus saw the condition.
    Spiritual lesson:
    God is more interested in who you are privately than who you appear to be publicly.
    3. Isaiah 29:13
    «“This people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me; but have removed their heart far from me.”»
    Their lips were close.
    Their hearts were far away.
    This is the danger of religious appearance without genuine surrender.

    5 TYPES OF DANGEROUS BELIEVERS

    1. THE BELIEVER WHO KNOWS SCRIPTURE BUT REFUSES TO OBEY IT
    There is a difference between knowing God's Word and living God's Word.
    James 1:22 says:
    «“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only…”»
    Some believers can explain forgiveness but refuse to forgive.
    They can preach holiness but live carelessly.
    They can quote Scripture but manipulate people.
    They know what God says, but they have decided to obey themselves.

    Deep insight:

    Information without transformation can produce religious pride.
    The devil does not necessarily fear a Christian who knows many Bible verses.
    He fears the Christian who believes, obeys, and lives the Word.
    2. THE BELIEVER WHO HAS A FORM OF GODLINESS BUT NO POWER
    2 Timothy 3:5 speaks about people:
    «“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.”»
    A form is an outward appearance.
    It looks right.
    It sounds right.
    But something is missing inside.
    You can dress like a Christian.
    Talk like a Christian.
    Post Christian messages.
    Attend Christian programs.
    And still refuse to surrender your character to Christ.
    Ask yourself:
    What happens to my Christianity when nobody is watching?
    That is where genuine Christianity is tested.
    Your secret life is a better measurement of your spiritual condition than your public reputation.
    3. THE BELIEVER WHO HAS BECOME COMFORTABLE WITH SIN
    One of the most dangerous conditions is not falling into sin accidentally.
    It is becoming comfortable with sin deliberately.
    The believer begins by saying:
    «“It is only once.”»
    Then:
    «“Everybody is doing it.”»
    Then:
    «“God understands.”»
    Eventually, the conscience becomes quiet.
    Romans 6:1–2 warns against continuing in sin because grace abounds.

    Deep spiritual truth:

    Grace is not permission to remain in sin. Grace is God's power to bring us out of sin.
    If something is destroying your relationship with God, don't defend it.
    Repent from it.
    4. THE BELIEVER WHO LOVES THE CHURCH BUT DOES NOT LOVE CHRIST
    This may sound strange, but it happens.
    Someone can love:
    - The choir
    - The pastor
    - The church building
    - Christian conferences
    - Christian music
    - Christian social media
    - Christian friendships
    …but fail to love Jesus with all their heart.
    Jesus told the church at Ephesus:
    «“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.” — Revelation 2:4»
    They were working.
    They were enduring.
    They were doctrinally discerning.
    But they had lost their first love.
    Important lesson:
    You can be busy doing things for Jesus while becoming distant from Jesus.
    Don't allow ministry to replace relationship.
    Don't allow your assignment to replace intimacy.
    Don't allow the work of God to become more important than the God of the work.
    5. THE BELIEVER WHO REFUSES CORRECTION
    A dangerous believer is one who cannot be corrected.
    When the pastor preaches against something they are doing, they become angry.
    When a mature Christian warns them, they say:
    «“Don't judge me.”»
    When Scripture confronts their lifestyle, they look for another interpretation.
    Proverbs 12:1 says:
    «“Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.”»
    Spiritual maturity means:
    I am willing to be corrected because I want to become more like Christ.
    A person who cannot receive correction will eventually become a prisoner of their own deception.

    BIBLICAL CASE STUDY:

    JUDAS ISCARIOT

    Judas is one of the most sobering examples in Scripture.
    Judas walked with Jesus.
    He heard Jesus teach.
    He witnessed miracles.
    He traveled with the disciples.
    He was part of the ministry.
    He was close enough to Jesus to call Him Master.
    Yet Judas eventually betrayed Him.
    This teaches us something frightening:
    Being close to spiritual things does not automatically mean your heart belongs to God.
    You can be around anointed people and remain unchanged.
    You can witness miracles and still struggle with unbelief.
    You can carry a Bible and still carry bitterness.
    You can occupy a position and lose your spiritual condition.
    But there is hope.
    Peter also failed Jesus.
    The difference was that Peter returned in repentance.
    Judas allowed his failure to lead him into destruction.
    Failure does not have to be the end of your story. Repentance can become the beginning of restoration.

    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS

    1. EXAMINE YOUR HEART
    Psalm 139:23–24:
    «“Search me, O God, and know my heart…”»
    Don't only ask, “What is wrong with others?”
    Ask:
    “Lord, what needs to change in me?”
    2. RETURN TO YOUR FIRST LOVE
    If prayer has become a duty, return.
    If Bible reading has become routine, return.
    If worship has become performance, return.
    If your passion for Christ has disappeared, return.
    3. STOP JUSTIFYING WHAT GOD IS ASKING YOU TO REPENT OF
    Don't rename sin.
    Don't call disobedience “weakness.”
    Don't call compromise “wisdom.”
    Don't call rebellion “freedom.”
    When God reveals something, respond with repentance.
    4. PRACTICE PRIVATE CHRISTIANITY
    Pray when nobody is watching.
    Read the Word when nobody is applauding.
    Give when nobody knows.
    Forgive when nobody forces you.
    Serve when nobody celebrates you.
    What you do privately reveals what you truly value.
    5. STAY TEACHABLE
    Allow God's Word to correct you.
    Allow mature believers to challenge you.
    Allow the Holy Spirit to convict you.
    A heart that can still be corrected is a heart that can still be transformed.

    DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS

    1. PROXIMITY TO HOLY THINGS DOES NOT GUARANTEE HOLINESS.
    Judas was close to Jesus physically, but his heart was not surrendered.
    2. RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY CAN HIDE SPIRITUAL DECLINE.
    A person can become busier in church while becoming colder toward God.
    3. GOD LOOKS BEYOND THE PLATFORM.
    People may see your preaching.
    God sees your private life.
    People hear your words.
    God knows your motives.
    4. THE GREATEST DANGER IS SELF-DECEPTION.
    A sinner who knows he is lost may seek help.
    But someone who is lost and believes he is spiritually healthy may never seek rescue.
    5. JESUS DOES NOT ONLY WANT YOUR CHURCH ATTENDANCE.
    He wants your heart.
    He wants your character.
    He wants your obedience.
    He wants your entire life.

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

    1. Am I following Jesus or merely following Christian activities?
    2. Does my private life agree with my public confession?
    3. Is there any sin I have become comfortable with?
    4. Can I receive correction without becoming offended?
    5. Have I lost my first love for Christ?
    6. Am I more concerned about what people think about me than what God thinks about me?
    7. If Jesus examined my heart today, what would He find?

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

    1.
    Father, search my heart and expose everything in me that is not pleasing to You, in Jesus' name.
    2.
    Lord Jesus, deliver me from religious appearance without spiritual reality.
    3.
    Father, restore my first love for You. Let my passion for Christ become stronger again.
    4.
    Lord, give me grace to obey Your Word, not merely hear it.
    5.
    Every spirit of hypocrisy and self-deception, be broken over my life, in Jesus' name.
    6.
    Father, give me a heart that receives correction and grows in wisdom.
    7.
    Lord, let my private life and public testimony agree.
    8.
    Holy Spirit, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.
    9.
    Father, keep me faithful to Christ until the end of my journey.

    CALL TO ACTION

    Beloved, don't leave this message thinking about another believer.
    Think about yourself.
    Don't ask:
    «“Who in my church needs to hear this?”»
    Ask:
    «“Lord, what are You saying to me?”»
    The goal of Christianity is not simply to remain in church.
    The goal is to remain in Christ.
    Jesus said in John 15:4:
    «“Abide in me, and I in you.”»
    Don't just carry the name Christian.
    Carry Christ in your heart.
    Don't just attend church.
    Become the church wherever you go.
    Don't just quote the Word.
    Live the Word.
    Don't just raise your hands in worship.
    Surrender your heart in obedience.
    And don't wait until you stand before Jesus to discover that you were close to church but far from Christ.

    TODAY, RETURN TO JESUS.
    Return to your first love.
    Return to prayer.
    Return to the Word.
    Return to holiness.
    Return to obedience.
    Return to genuine fellowship with Christ.
    The greatest question is not, “Did I attend church?”
    It is:
    “DOES JESUS TRULY KNOW ME?”
    May we never be believers who merely look alive.
    May we be believers who are truly alive in Christ.
    In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

    FINAL DECLARATION

    I will not merely look like a Christian; I will live for Christ.
    I will not only hear God's Word; I will obey it.
    I will not hide behind religious activity; I will pursue genuine relationship with Jesus.
    My heart belongs to Christ, my life belongs to Christ, and my future belongs to Christ.
    In Jesus' name. Amen.

    Give your life to Jesus by joining a Bible believing Church.

QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. CALL TO ACTION Beloved, don't leave this message thinking about another believer. Think about yourself. Don't ask: «“Who in my church needs to hear this?”» Ask: «“Lord, what are You saying to me?”» The goal of Christianity is not simply to remain in church. The goal is to remain in Christ. Jesus said in John 15:4: «“Abide in me, and I in you.”» Don't just carry the name Christian. The greatest question is not, “Did I attend church?” It is: “DOES JESUS TRULY KNOW ME?” May we never be believers who merely look alive. May we be believers who are truly alive in Christ. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen. FINAL DECLARATION I will not merely look like a Christian; I will live for Christ. I will not only hear God's Word; I will obey it. I will not hide behind religious activity; I will pursue genuine relationship with Jesus. My heart belongs to Christ, my life belongs to Christ, and my future belongs to Christ. In Jesus' name. Amen. • JESUS IS NOT PAYING A DIME TO YOUR KIDNAPPERS
    Many believers have a subnormal view of the Lord Jesus, that is why they live miserable lives and are easily lured to follow the world. God who knows who He made Christ laughs when see Satan trying to lead men further into rebellion.

    Our redemption in Christ Jesus is so complete and powerful that you only need to walk out on Satan when you catch the revelation of it. In Isaiah chapter 52, God told us to remove the chains of Satan that are upon us and just walk out on the devil. If you are scared of ordering the devil around, go back to your Bible and learn Jesus 101. There is room for resit.

    1. Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
    2. Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
    3. For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.

    God expects the you and I to reclaim our dominion without a struggle. This is depicted as our rising to loose the bands on our necks all by ourselves in the passage above.

    God has better plan for your life than you running helter-sketer looking for deliverers. He wants you to rise up by faith and enforce your liberty, all by yourself.
    He expects you to deliver yourself on the strength of your understanding of the redemption you have in Christ Jesus. He knows that the Devil took you cheaply because of your ignorance and He is not going to pay ransom to your kidnappers. Enough is enough.

    I break every yoke of Satan off me NOW in Jesus mighty name!

  • Dear God, thank You for this new day and for the truth that eternal life isn’t something I have to wait for, it’s already mine. Your word in John 5:24 says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” God, I’ve heard Your word and I believe in You, and that’s enough to pass me from death into life right now. Help me really understand the weight of that today and not just read past it like it’s ordinary. I don’t want to live like eternity is something far off. I want to live like it’s already mine, because it is. I give You all the praise for a salvation I could never deserve. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. -Psalm 23:6

    Bought With a Price

    1 Corinthians 6:20 (AMP)
    “You were actually purchased with a price [by God]; therefore honor and glorify God with your body.”

    There are moments when we need to remind ourselves of whose we are.
    The world often tells us that our bodies, our lives, our time, and our choices belong entirely to us. But Scripture gives us a different perspective: we were purchased with a price.

    That price was not money, success, or anything earthly. It was the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
    When Jesus gave His life for us, He demonstrated the immeasurable value He placed on us. We are not accidents. We are not worthless. We are not forgotten. We belong to God.

    Because we have been purchased, Paul tells us to honor and glorify God with our bodies. This means that worship is not limited to singing songs on Sunday. Our worship is expressed through the way we live.

    What we say matters.
    What we watch matters.
    Where we go matters.
    How we treat others matters.
    How we care for ourselves matters.
    What we choose when nobody is watching matters.
    Every part of our lives can become an offering to God.

    Today, remember that your life carries a sacred value. You were bought with the greatest price imaginable. Therefore, don't live as though you belong to the world. Live like someone who belongs to Jesus.

    Before making a decision today, ask yourself:
    “Does this honor the One who gave everything for me?”

    You don't have to earn God's love—you already have it. Your response is simply to live in a way that reflects your gratitude for what Christ has done.

    Prayer
    Father, thank You for purchasing me at such a great price through Jesus Christ. Help me remember that my life belongs to You. Teach me to honor You with my body, my thoughts, my words, my choices, and my actions. May everything I do bring glory to Your name. When I am tempted to follow the ways of the world, remind me of the price Jesus paid for me. Let my life be a living expression of gratitude and worship. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    Today’s Reflection
    I belong to God. I was bought with a price. Therefore, I will honor Him with my life.
    “You are not your own—you belong to the One who loved you enough to give His life for you.”

    COME TO JESUS AND DRINK!

    TEXT: JOHN 7:1–53

    KEY VERSE:

    «“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” — John 7:37 (KJV)»

    John 7 reveals Jesus ministering in the midst of opposition, unbelief, confusion, and division.

    People had different opinions about Him. Some questioned His identity. Others criticized Him. Some wanted to arrest Him. Yet Jesus continued to teach and proclaim the truth.

    Then, on the final and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried:

    «“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”»

    This was more than an invitation for physical water.

    Jesus was speaking to the deepest thirst of the human heart.

    The world cannot satisfy the soul. Only Jesus can.

    THREE LESSONS FROM JOHN 7

    COME TO JESUS WHEN YOUR SOUL IS THIRSTY.

    Jesus said:

    «“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” — John 7:37»

    Everyone experiences a thirst that material things cannot satisfy.

    You may have money and still be empty.

    You may have friends and still feel lonely.

    You may have success and still lack peace.

    You may have possessions and still desire something more.

    The soul was created for God.

    Therefore, don't try to satisfy a spiritual thirst with worldly things.

    Come to Jesus.

    He gives peace to the troubled heart.

    He gives hope to the discouraged.

    He gives forgiveness to the sinner.

    He gives purpose to the lost.

    He gives eternal life to those who believe.

    THE HOLY SPIRIT FLOWS FROM A LIFE CONNECTED TO CHRIST.

    John 7:38–39 says:

    «“He that believeth on me... out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”»

    John explains that Jesus was speaking about the Holy Spirit.

    God does not want us merely to receive His blessing; He wants His life to flow through us to others.

    You should not be a container that only receives.

    You should become a channel that gives.

    Receive God's love—and show it.

    Receive His grace—and extend it.

    Receive His Word—and share it.

    Receive His comfort—and comfort others.

    Receive the Gospel—and preach it.

    A life filled with Christ should become a blessing to others.

    DON'T ALLOW PEOPLE'S OPINIONS TO KEEP YOU FROM JESUS.

    John 7 is filled with different opinions about Jesus.

    Some said He was a good man.

    Others said He deceived people.

    Some recognized that He was the Christ.

    Others questioned where He came from.

    Even among the people, there was division because of Him.

    This reminds us that people will always have opinions about Jesus.

    But your salvation cannot be based on people's opinions.

    You must personally know Christ.

    Don't reject Jesus because someone else rejected Him.

    Don't abandon your faith because someone mocks you.

    Don't compromise because you want people's approval.

    Know whom you believe.

    SEARCH THE WORD FOR YOURSELF

    The people questioned Jesus' teaching because they were unfamiliar with His authority.

    Jesus said:

    «“My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.” — John 7:16»

    This teaches us the importance of knowing God's Word.

    Don't build your faith solely on what someone tells you.

    Study Scripture.

    Pray for understanding.

    Test what you hear.

    Know the truth.

    A believer who knows God's Word is less likely to be carried away by deception.

    Don't just hear the Word—search it, understand it, and live it.

    JESUS CAN SATISFY WHAT THE WORLD CANNOT

    There is a thirst inside humanity that money cannot quench.

    The Samaritan woman in John 4 needed Living Water.

    The crowd in John 6 needed the Bread of Life.

    And in John 7, Jesus again offers Himself as the One who satisfies the thirsty soul.

    The message is consistent:

    JESUS IS ENOUGH.

    When you have Christ, you have the greatest treasure.

    When everything else changes, Christ remains.

    When people leave, Christ remains.

    When circumstances become difficult, Christ remains.

    When the world cannot answer your questions, Christ remains.

    Come to Jesus and drink.

    LET THE RIVERS FLOW THROUGH YOU

    Jesus did not say that the living water would remain stagnant.

    He said:

    «“Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”»

    A river flows.

    Therefore, don't keep your Christianity hidden.

    Let your faith be visible.

    Let your kindness speak.

    Let your character testify.

    Let your words carry grace.

    Let your life preach Christ.

    Someone around you may be spiritually thirsty.

    Your testimony may encourage them.

    Your prayer may strengthen them.

    Your invitation may bring them to church.

    Your witness may lead them to salvation.

    Let the living water flow!

    JESUS WILL ALWAYS BRING A DECISION

    John 7 shows that people were divided because of Jesus.

    Some believed.

    Some doubted.

    Some opposed Him.

    Some wanted to arrest Him.

    Jesus still demands a response today.

    You cannot remain neutral forever.

    The question is not merely:

    “What do people say about Jesus?”

    The question is:

    “WHO IS JESUS TO YOU?”

    Is He your Saviour?

    Is He your Lord?

    Is He your King?

    Are you following Him?

    Are you obeying His Word?

    ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

    The world offers temporary satisfaction, but Jesus offers Living Water that becomes a river within us. Come to Him, drink deeply, and let His life flow through you.

    🏽 PRAYER

    Heavenly Father,

    Thank You for giving us Jesus Christ, the source of Living Water.

    Lord Jesus, I come to You with every thirst, emptiness, weakness, and need in my heart. Fill me with Your presence and satisfy my soul with what only You can provide.

    Holy Spirit, work deeply within me. Let rivers of living water flow through my life.

    Help me not to be controlled by the opinions of people. Give me courage to stand for Christ even when others reject or misunderstand Him.

    Give me a deeper hunger for Your Word and greater understanding of Your truth.

    Use my life as a channel of Your love, grace, and Gospel. Let someone encounter Jesus because of my words, actions, and testimony.

    May I never look to the world for what only Christ can provide.

    In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. 🏽

    The meaning about power and faith

    From the beginning, the reading focuses on the idea that the power and success of white people throughout history did not happen by accident. It explains how white people have spread across different parts of the world, built powerful nations, gained wealth, and influenced other countries. What makes this idea different is that their success is connected to promises that God made in the Bible. The reading connects white people to the biblical people of Israel. A lot of attention is given to the promises God made to Abraham and his descendants. These promises included becoming a great nation, having many descendants, receiving blessings, and being protected. The events that happened throughout history are presented as examples of those promises being fulfilled. This makes the main point easier to understand because the reading is trying to show that God keeps His word even when people may not realize what is happening. Faith is another major part of the reading. Faith is explained as more than just believing that something is true. It means trusting a promise enough to actually act on it. The reading explains that the Greek word connected to faith describes action based on belief and confidence. This idea becomes even more important when it explains saving faith. Saving faith means acting on God’s promises and allowing Him to change a person’s life. Near the end, people are separated into two groups called the “Two Camps.” The first camp is made up of people who reject God’s promises and choose to live according to their own decisions. The second camp includes people who trust God’s promises and actually act on them. The reading connects history with faith instead of looking at power as something that only comes from money, land, or strength. It shows how the same events can be understood differently depending on a person’s beliefs. The main message is that trusting God is supposed to be shown through actions, not just words or thoughts. Faith is presented as something that can guide a person’s choices and allow God’s promises to have an effect on their life.

    "WELCOME THIS CHANGE"

    ‘…have your sandals on and your walking stick in your hand...’ Exodus 12:11 NCV.

    THE BOY Scout motto is ‘Be prepared,’ and it’s a good one. *EXPLOITS THROUGH CONQUERING FAITH*

    *TEXT:* JOSHUA 11:10-23.

    10 And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.
    11 And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with fire.
    12 And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded.
    13 But as for the cities that stood still in their strength, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Joshua burn.
    14 And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe.
    15 As the LORD commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses.
    16 So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same;
    17 Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.
    18 Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
    19 There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle.
    20 For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.
    21 And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.
    22 There was none of the Anakims left in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, there remained.
    23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions"_ (Hebrews 11:32-33).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    William C. Martin (1878) penned down this song relevant to the topic of discussion.
    "In the warfare that is raging
    For the truth and for the right,
    When the conflict, fierce, is raging
    With the powers of the night,
    God needs people brave and true:
    May He then depend on you?
    Refrain:
    May the Lord depend on you?
    Loyalty is but His due;
    Say, O spirit, brave and true,
    That He may depend on you".
    God's covenants to Israel were majorly earthly and therefore, their warfares to possess their promises were physical. For the New Testament, the covenant is mostly spiritual and heavenly and therefore the warfares of the New Testament saints are spiritual. *"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal..."* (2 Corinthians 10:4). Lessons on Old Testament physical warfares are meant to teach the New Testament saints some important features of spiritual warfare which is a major part of successful and victorious Christian living.
    Joshua and Israel faced formidable kings, fortified cities and numerous enemies, yet God gave them victory. Their exploits demonstrated that conquering faith rested on obedience to God's authority and instructions with perseverance until the battle was completely won. When faith is anchored in God, no enemy can ultimately withstand His purpose for His people.

    *1. Determined Destruction Accomplished*

    a. God had concluded from the time of Abraham that the Amorites would be obliterated when their iniquities reached the peak when God could no more tolerate them (Genesis 15:15,16; Exodus 34:11-13). The time now came to start possessing the land as promised, but they must fight for it, for it would not come on a platter of gold. All the promises of God have been paid for by the finished work of Jesus on the cross of Calvary. However, the adversary is always there to contest against those blessings and believers must be ready to contend and possess it as God has given us assurance of victory as legitimate owners of the blessings. Our Lord Himself said, *"the kingdom of God suffereth violence and the violent taketh it by force"* (Matthew 11:12). The heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 were commended for their violence of faith, courage and determination as they fought spiritual warfares. The violence of believers is spiritual and had to do with violence and force of faith. Nobody will be able to possess his possessions here on earth and enter heaven eventually if he does not learn to be brave and violent in spiritual warfare against the flesh, fiends, faithlessness, fear and foolishness.
    b. Joshua did not leave unfinished what God had commanded him to accomplish. Hazor, the head of the northern kingdoms, was captured and destroyed and its king was put to death. The destruction was decisive because Joshua understood that partial obedience could jeopardize the victory God had promised. Conquering faith is determined faith—it does not retreat because the opposition is strong or the assignment is difficult. What God commands must be pursued with courage and perseverance. Joshua, with courageous faith, moved along the will and Word of God and destroyed those that God had condemned to destruction because they refused to repent.

    *Question*

    Are there areas of your life where God expects you to exercise determined faith and completely overcome persistent opposition?

    *2. Done According to the Divine Authority*

    a. The destruction of the Canaanites by Joshua in the text took about 7 years though it was recorded as if they all happened in rapidity. God had told them that they would conquer the land *"little by little"*. (Exodus 23:30, Deuteronomy 7:22). You don't expect those formidable enemies to be overcome without giving a strong fight and resistance. Spiritual wars, like the physical wars are at times protracted. In order to overcome the adversary, there is a need to maintain a persistent and untiring warfare disposition and attitude for Satan and his agents will not give up without a strong and persistent resistance. So, fight manfully onward and never give up but persist until you laugh last. God has destined and programmed you for total victory. The "little by little" approach also gave the Canaanites the opportunity to repent and seek for mercy like Rahab and her household and the Gibeonites did.
    Joshua acted according to the command of the LORD. Those who perished must have been adamant because it had been settled that Israel would destroy all of them just like Rahab confessed (Joshua 2:9-11). All those who perished perished because they chose to and not for lack of opportunity to repent. Rahab and her household, the Giebeonites and the Shechemites decided not to perish and they did not because they did the needful. Those people refused to repent, their hearts were hardened through rejection of mercy. This hardening of men’s hearts is when God gives man up to his sin after the person refused the mercy of God (Romans 1:24-28).
    b. How could Joshua have overcome? Israel was not trained in the art of warfare at the time. Second, Israel did not have horses and chariots to fight, whereas the Canaanites had in abundance. Yet, God told them that it was a battle of faith and therefore, they should not fear the better equipped and stronger adversaries. *"And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire"*. It was like the case of little David versus the giant Goliath. Spiritual battles, while doing the needful, do not look at the size and the arrogance of the adversaries. With faith in God, their horses and chariots will be defeated. *"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God"* (Psalm 20:7). Can you imagine a poorly trained and inexperienced army of Israel defeating better trained
    coalition of nations in their multitudes with their horses and chariots? Obeying God's Word and instruction is always a guarantee of victory regardless of the might and the arsenal of the adversaries. Joshua did not depend on personal wisdom or military strength; he carried out God's instructions. Verse 15 emphasizes that Joshua did everything the LORD commanded Moses, and Moses had commanded Joshua. True exploits are accomplished under divine authority. Faith becomes powerful when it is joined with obedience. The victory was not merely Joshua's achievement; it was God's purpose being fulfilled through a yielded servant. We too must learn to follow God's Word even when His instructions challenge our natural reasoning.

    *Question*

    Are your decisions and actions being governed by God's Word and divine authority?

    *3. The Defeat of the Dreaded Adversaries*

    The Anakims were the most dreaded adversaries of Israel while they were in the wilderness. In fact, the spies (10 of them) sent said they were like grasshoppers compared to the Anakims (Numbers 13:27-33). It was the fear of those people that made Israel to be punished in the wilderness with 40 years of wandering and deaths. God delayed this fight to be their last fight so that Israel would have, from experience, learnt the art of warfare. They did not know that God had His own strategy of training them to be fit for the warfare against those terrorizing adversaries. When God gives a promise, don't look at your weakness and be asking how possible. God has His own plan to make you fit enough to deal with the enemy before He Himself takes over. "The Lord knows the way through the wilderness, all I have to do is to follow" and victory is certain.
    b. The promise of Deuteronomy 9:1–3, which specifically predicts the defeat of the fearsome Anakites, is fulfilled(Joshua 11:21–23). Those who once appeared invincible were overcome by the power of God. Joshua's victory teaches us that yesterday's giants need not determine today's destiny. Through conquering faith, intimidating obstacles can become testimonies of God's faithfulness. Finally, the land had rest from war. When God's people trust Him, obey His commands and persevere in faith, victory and divine rest become possible.

    *Question*

    What “giant” or dreaded adversary are you allowing to intimidate you instead of confronting it through faith in God?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Lord, give me conquering faith to overcome every persistent opposition standing against Your purpose for my life.
    2.Father, help me to walk in complete obedience to Your Word and submit every decision to Your divine authority .
    3.O Lord, bring down every giant and defeat every dreaded adversary confronting my progress, destiny and calling .
    4.Father, grant Your children lasting victory and divine rest after every battle and let their lives become testimonies of Your mighty exploits .

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle" (JOSHUA 11:19).*_
    *Mercy from God is that vital element that no one can earn, deserve or merit. It is an inalienable deed that underpins God's dealings with fallible humankind, saved or unsaved. When all else fails, God's mercies will never fail.*
    *The Canaanites and other nations in the Promised Land engaged in battle against Joshua and the Israelites without seeking a peace agreement, despite their unfavourable position. In this chapter, Joshua faced a coalition of Canaanite forces, defeating them before turning his attention to the northern region. The city of Hazor was captured and burned, with its spoils taken by the Israelites. Joshua then advanced towards the hills and southern territories, continuing the conflict until the entirety of the land was subdued and allocated to the tribes of Israel. The account raises challenging questions regarding the nature of a loving God permitting such violence, particularly the killing of women and children. This narrative has sparked criticism towards the Scripture, leading to inquiries about the justness of these holy wars and casting doubt on divine benevolence, consequently perplexing many readers.*
    *The text emphasises that the people in the land repeatedly heard about God's actions but chose to resist and did not seek mercy, with the Gibeonites being the only exception, although through deceit. Instead of pursuing peace, they relied on military might, having engaged in idol worship and iniquity for centuries, including horrific sacrifices. Ultimately, God's judgment deemed it necessary to cleanse the land of those viewed as rebels and enemies, as the people were prepared to oppose Him rather than embrace His ways.*
    *No one can fight against God and expect to win. It is an effort in futility when we roll out our battle gear instead of pleading and repenting. God delights in mercy. He's not interested in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn to Him in repentance and live. "As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live..."*
    *Dispute over paternity can be resolved through a DNA test and lay to rest such controversy. Likewise, holiness puts to silence every debate on who a child of God is. God is holy, and anyone who professes to be His child must possess this very nature of God - holiness. An unholy life has no resemblance to God and no usefulness to the world.*
    *"Be ye holy" is God's command. Heaven is a holy place. The God of heaven is a Holy Being. The angels are holy creatures. Everything in heaven is holiness. It is impossible to get to heaven if we die unholy. The Holy Bible clearly states that: "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14).*
    *Holiness is not optional; it is mandatory for all who desire to see God and live with Him in eternity. To be holy simply means to be purged from inward and outward sins. Consecration, strong thirst, and hunger for the experience in desperate prayer will allow God to accomplish it in your life.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. ⏤ Romans 12:1
    He who runs from God in the morning will scarcely find Him the rest of the day. ⏤ John Bunyan
    Almighty God, the Father of us all, in whom we live and move and have our being—we worship You and give thanks to Your great and holy name. Our hearts are full of memories of Sunday. May we be like those who have walked among fragrant flowers, carrying the scent on our very garments. May we be more joyful, more trusting, more holy, more loving, and more prayerful because of the holy influences that saturated our lives yesterday.
    You are the God of the evening and the morning. Every day reveals where You have walked in love. We thank You for this day that now shines upon us. We need Your presence with us through all its hours, for we don’t know what they hold for us:
    what duties,
    what problems that must be solved,
    what decisions that must be made,
    what responsibilities that must be met,
    what surprises of joy or sorrow,
    what temptations,
    what conflicts,
    what dangers.
    We don’t know—but You do, and we’re not afraid to leave it all in Your hands. Bless us with peace, wisdom, and strength for whatever lies ahead. Take our hands and guide us.
    We consecrate ourselves to You this day, O God, for life and service. We are Yours, and we present ourselves as a living sacrifice to You. We want to live only for You. Help us to renounce all claims on ourselves and truly be Yours. If we are called to any hard duty, task, or service—give us the grace to accept Your will cheerfully and to do what pleases You. Work deeply in us by Your Spirit, continuing the renewal of our nature, and building us up in holiness and righteousness, through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
You don't expect those formidable enemies to be overcome without giving a strong fight and resistance. Spiritual wars, like the physical wars are at times protracted. In order to overcome the adversary, there is a need to maintain a persistent and untiring warfare disposition and attitude for Satan and his agents will not give up without a strong and persistent resistance. So, fight manfully onward and never give up but persist until you laugh last. God has destined and programmed you for total victory. The "little by little" approach also gave the Canaanites the opportunity to repent and seek for mercy like Rahab and her household and the Gibeonites did. Joshua acted according to the command of the LORD. Those who perished must have been adamant because it had been settled that Israel would destroy all of them just like Rahab confessed (Joshua 2:9-11). All those who perished perished because they chose to and not for lack of opportunity to repent. Rahab and her household, the Giebeonites and the Shechemites decided not to perish and they did not because they did the needful. Those people refused to repent, their hearts were hardened through rejection of mercy. This hardening of men’s hearts is when God gives man up to his sin after the person refused the mercy of God (Romans 1:24-28). b. How could Joshua have overcome? Israel was not trained in the art of warfare at the time. Second, Israel did not have horses and chariots to fight, whereas the Canaanites had in abundance. Yet, God told them that it was a battle of faith and therefore, they should not fear the better equipped and stronger adversaries. *"And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire"*. It was like the case of little David versus the giant Goliath. Spiritual battles, while doing the needful, do not look at the size and the arrogance of the adversaries. With faith in God, their horses and chariots will be defeated. *"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God"* (Psalm 20:7). Can you imagine a poorly trained and inexperienced army of Israel defeating better trained coalition of nations in their multitudes with their horses and chariots? Obeying God's Word and instruction is always a guarantee of victory regardless of the might and the arsenal of the adversaries. Joshua did not depend on personal wisdom or military strength; he carried out God's instructions. Verse 15 emphasizes that Joshua did everything the LORD commanded Moses, and Moses had commanded Joshua. True exploits are accomplished under divine authority. Faith becomes powerful when it is joined with obedience. The victory was not merely Joshua's achievement; it was God's purpose being fulfilled through a yielded servant. We too must learn to follow God's Word even when His instructions challenge our natural reasoning. *Question* Are your decisions and actions being governed by God's Word and divine authority? *3. The Defeat of the Dreaded Adversaries* The Anakims were the most dreaded adversaries of Israel while they were in the wilderness. In fact, the spies (10 of them) sent said they were like grasshoppers compared to the Anakims (Numbers 13:27-33). It was the fear of those people that made Israel to be punished in the wilderness with 40 years of wandering and deaths. God delayed this fight to be their last fight so that Israel would have, from experience, learnt the art of warfare. They did not know that God had His own strategy of training them to be fit for the warfare against those terrorizing adversaries. When God gives a promise, don't look at your weakness and be asking how possible. God has His own plan to make you fit enough to deal with the enemy before He Himself takes over. "The Lord knows the way through the wilderness, all I have to do is to follow" and victory is certain. b. The promise of Deuteronomy 9:1–3, which specifically predicts the defeat of the fearsome Anakites, is fulfilled(Joshua 11:21–23). Those who once appeared invincible were overcome by the power of God. Joshua's victory teaches us that yesterday's giants need not determine today's destiny. Through conquering faith, intimidating obstacles can become testimonies of God's faithfulness. Finally, the land had rest from war. When God's people trust Him, obey His commands and persevere in faith, victory and divine rest become possible. *Question* What “giant” or dreaded adversary are you allowing to intimidate you instead of confronting it through faith in God? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, give me conquering faith to overcome every persistent opposition standing against Your purpose for my life. 2.Father, help me to walk in complete obedience to Your Word and submit every decision to Your divine authority 🙏. 3.O Lord, bring down every giant and defeat every dreaded adversary confronting my progress, destiny and calling 🙏. 4.Father, grant Your children lasting victory and divine rest after every battle and let their lives become testimonies of Your mighty exploits 🙏. *HYMN:* May The Lord Depend On You. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* DANIEL 11-12. It is an inalienable deed that underpins God's dealings with fallible humankind, saved or unsaved. When all else fails, God's mercies will never fail.* *The Canaanites and other nations in the Promised Land engaged in battle against Joshua and the Israelites without seeking a peace agreement, despite their unfavourable position. In this chapter, Joshua faced a coalition of Canaanite forces, defeating them before turning his attention to the northern region. The city of Hazor was captured and burned, with its spoils taken by the Israelites. Joshua then advanced towards the hills and southern territories, continuing the conflict until the entirety of the land was subdued and allocated to the tribes of Israel. The account raises challenging questions regarding the nature of a loving God permitting such violence, particularly the killing of women and children. This narrative has sparked criticism towards the Scripture, leading to inquiries about the justness of these holy wars and casting doubt on divine benevolence, consequently perplexing many readers.* *The text emphasises that the people in the land repeatedly heard about God's actions but chose to resist and did not seek mercy, with the Gibeonites being the only exception, although through deceit. Instead of pursuing peace, they relied on military might, having engaged in idol worship and iniquity for centuries, including horrific sacrifices. Ultimately, God's judgment deemed it necessary to cleanse the land of those viewed as rebels and enemies, as the people were prepared to oppose Him rather than embrace His ways.* *No one can fight against God and expect to win. It is an effort in futility when we roll out our battle gear instead of pleading and repenting. God delights in mercy. He's not interested in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn to Him in repentance and live. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. ⏤ Romans 12:1 He who runs from God in the morning will scarcely find Him the rest of the day. ⏤ John Bunyan Almighty God, the Father of us all, in whom we live and move and have our being—we worship You and give thanks to Your great and holy name. Our hearts are full of memories of Sunday. May we be like those who have walked among fragrant flowers, carrying the scent on our very garments. May we be more joyful, more trusting, more holy, more loving, and more prayerful because of the holy influences that saturated our lives yesterday. You are the God of the evening and the morning. Every day reveals where You have walked in love. We thank You for this day that now shines upon us. We need Your presence with us through all its hours, for we don’t know what they hold for us: what duties, what problems that must be solved, what decisions that must be made, what responsibilities that must be met, what surprises of joy or sorrow, what temptations, what conflicts, what dangers. We don’t know—but You do, and we’re not afraid to leave it all in Your hands. Bless us with peace, wisdom, and strength for whatever lies ahead. Take our hands and guide us. We consecrate ourselves to You this day, O God, for life and service. We are Yours, and we present ourselves as a living sacrifice to You. We want to live only for You. Help us to renounce all claims on ourselves and truly be Yours. If we are called to any hard duty, task, or service—give us the grace to accept Your will cheerfully and to do what pleases You. Work deeply in us by Your Spirit, continuing the renewal of our nature, and building us up in holiness and righteousness, through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/50/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
