Did you know? Nothing in this world is more valuable than knowing Jesus Christ personally. Success, possessions, and achievements may satisfy for a season, but they cannot save the soul or give the hope of eternal life. Jesus declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me"(John 14:6). God has already shown the depth of His love by giving His only Son, "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life"(John 3:16). To know Christ is more than agreeing with facts about Him—it is trusting Him, following Him, and allowing Him to transform every part of our lives. As Paul wrote, "Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord" (Philippians 3:8). When Jesus becomes the center of our lives, we receive forgiveness, peace with God, and the sure hope of eternal life, a treasure far greater than anything this world could ever offer.

28 Beleifs # 24 CHRIST'S MINISTRY IN THE HEAVENLY SANCTUARY There is a sanctuary in heaven, the true tabernacle that the Lord set up and not humans. In it Christ ministers on our behalf, making available to believers the benefits of His atoning sacrifice offered once for all on the cross. At His ascension, He was inaugurated as our great High Priest and, began His intercessory ministry, which was typified by the work of the high priest in the holy place of the earthly sanctuary. In 1844, at the end of the prophetic period of 2300 days, He entered the second and last phase of His atoning ministry, which was typified by the work of the high priest in the most holy place of the earthly sanctuary. It is a work of investigative judgment which is part of the ultimate disposition of all sin, typified by the cleansing of the ancient Hebrew sanctuary on the Day of Atonement. In that typical service the sanctuary was cleansed with the blood of animal sacrifices, but the heavenly things are purified with the perfect sacrifice of the blood of Jesus. The investigative judgment reveals to heavenly intelligences who among the dead are asleep in Christ and therefore, in Him, are deemed worthy to have part in the first resurrection. It also makes manifest who among the living are abiding in Christ, keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, and in Him, therefore, are ready for translation into His everlasting kingdom. This judgment vindicates the justice of God in saving those who believe in Jesus. It declares that those who have remained loyal to God shall receive the kingdom. The completion of this ministry of Christ will mark the close of human probation before the Second Advent.

The visions align with Word: Green 7 vision= Joel 2:25 — I will restore. God always wants restoration of Word before judgment. Rev 14:6-7 — Everlasting gospel proclaimed in last hour. Red 7 vision= Hebrews 1:2 — In these last days He has spoken to us by His Son. It's the SON speaking us & WARNING us in these last days. So we ought to obey Him if we love Him. John14:23, john14:24, Ezekiel 3:17-19 — Son of man, I make you watchman, warn them, if you warn, you deliver your soul. So what God thinks now about Uganda action? In essence, he told Jesus, ‘You don’t have to carry the cross. Just bow to me and you can have it all.’ Jesus said, ‘…“Away with you, satan!...”’ (Matthew 4:10 NKJV). ‘Away’ with any teaching that says God is your porter and He has to wait on you! Or that He’s like a vending machine; all you have to do is put in a few coins and whatever you want will come out. Paul writes, ‘I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me’ (Galatians 2:20 NKJV). Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 28. And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29. And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. 30. But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. *Timeless Truth:* _For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister"_ (Hebrews 6:10) *INTRODUCTION* During the Second World War, Desmond Doss, an American Army medic and committed Christian, served without carrying a weapon because of his convictions. During the Battle of Okinawa in 1945, he repeatedly entered a dangerous battlefield to rescue wounded soldiers. He is credited with saving approximately 75 men, lowering each wounded soldier to safety while under enemy fire. Doss later received the Medal of Honor for extraordinary courage. His story reminds us that genuine commitment often involves sacrifice. A person who is committed to a worthy cause may surrender comfort, safety and personal advantage because he believes the cause is greater than himself. Peter's question in Matthew 19:27 comes from this same concern. The disciples had left much to follow Jesus, and Peter asked, “What shall we have therefore?” Jesus did not condemn the question. Instead, He taught them that sacrifice for God's kingdom is never wasted.*For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.* (Hebrews 6:10). The passage teaches us that Christ calls His followers to sacrificial discipleship, promises them spiritual reward and warns them against measuring God's kingdom by worldly standards. Perhaps you have sacrificed time to serve God. Perhaps you have endured rejection because of your faith. Perhaps you have given financially when it was difficult. Perhaps you have chosen obedience over personal ambition. Perhaps you have remained faithful in a ministry where nobody seems to notice your work. Jesus' answer in this passage is an encouragement: God sees, God remembers and God rewards. But Christ also corrects our understanding of reward. The Christian life is not primarily about asking, “What can I get from following Jesus?” It is about asking, “How can I faithfully serve the One who gave everything for me?” The disciples left much, but Jesus promised that their sacrifice would not be wasted. There are three great challenges before us: (i) Surrender your life completely to Christ. (ii) Serve faithfully without demanding immediate recognition. *(iii)* Stand firm when sacrifice becomes difficult. The world may celebrate those who appear to be first. God's kingdom operates differently. The person who quietly serves, humbly gives, faithfully prays, patiently suffers and continues obeying Christ may be accomplishing something of far greater eternal value than the person receiving public applause. Therefore, do not give up because your service is unnoticed. Do not stop serving because your sacrifice is costly. Do not measure God's faithfulness by your immediate circumstances. Your labour for Christ is never wasted. *Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.* (1 Corinthians 15:58) One day, the Lord Himself will reveal what truly mattered. And on that day, the faithful servant will discover that nothing surrendered to Christ was ever truly lost. *1. The Surrender of Sacrificial Discipleship* a. Peter reminded Jesus that the disciples had left their possessions and livelihoods to follow Him. Following Christ involves surrender. Christianity is not merely receiving blessings; it is also yielding our lives to the Lord. We must ask whether Christ truly has first place in our lives. Following Him may require us to surrender habits, relationships, ambitions, possessions, or personal preferences that compete with His will. b. The disciples did not merely admire Jesus; they left their former way of life and continued with Him. Christian commitment is not measured by how enthusiastically we begin, but by how faithfully we continue. *Questions* (i) What am I unwilling to surrender to Christ? (ii) Does my daily lifestyle demonstrate that following Jesus is more important to me than personal comfort? *2. The Reward of Kingdom Service* a. Jesus assured His disciples that their sacrifices would not go unnoticed. Jesus spoke of the future when He would sit on His glorious throne and the disciples would share in His kingdom. Our present service must be viewed in light of eternity. What we sacrifice for Christ now has eternal significance. b. Jesus promised that those who had sacrificed houses, family relationships or possessions for His name would receive abundant blessings. This does not mean that discipleship is a scheme for material prosperity. Rather, Jesus assures His followers that nothing surrendered to Him is ultimately lost. Jesus concludes His promise with: *"And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters... for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.”* *Questions* (i) Do I serve God for His glory or mainly for recognition and earthly rewards? (ii) When sacrifice becomes difficult, do I remember the eternal reward promised by Christ? *3. The Reversal of Kingdom Standards* a. Jesus concludes with a statement that challenges human ideas about success and reward. Human society often measures greatness through wealth, position, influence, education and recognition. But God's measurement is different. We should not measure our spiritual worth by comparing ourselves with other people. b. God values humble service rather than self-promotion. A disciple should be willing to serve even when nobody applauds, notices or rewards the work. The world's ranking system will not determine the final outcome. God will ultimately reveal the true value of every person's service. *Questions* (i) Do I become discouraged when others receive recognition while my service remains unnoticed? (ii) Am I willing to serve faithfully even when I receive no immediate reward? *Prayer Points* 1. Lord Jesus, help me to surrender every area of my life completely to You and place Your kingdom above my personal interests.🙏 2. Father, give me grace to remain faithful in serving You even when the work is difficult or unnoticed.🙏 3. In the text, Apostle Peter poses a question many believers still echo today: "We have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?" It is a question laced with hope but also with the subtle implication of comparison with others and transaction with God. Considering the context, Peter's question implies that if we have given up much for God, in contrast to the rich young ruler who didn't, surely we are due a proportionate reward. In His answer, Jesus affirms that sacrifice in His name is never forgotten. Certainly, we shall receive astounding rewards, yet He closes with a warning wrapped in a paradox: "But many _that are_ first shall be last; and the last _shall be_ first."* *This final line holds the key to understanding divine reward, not as a salary earned but as a gift bestowed in Sovereign wisdom. God's kingdom does not run on human logic or worldly meritocracy. Instead, it operates based on grace, faithfulness, and sincerity of heart. When we serve God with a mere transactional mind-set, doing in order to receive, we risk missing the heartbeat of discipleship. And to correct this misunderstanding, Jesus immediately follows His statement with the parable of the workers in the vineyard. There, those who worked a full day were shocked to receive the same wages as those hired last. Then Jesus concluded with the same warning: "So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen". The point is clear: God's rewards are not based on length of service or human measure, but on His gracious prerogative. Faithfulness, not fame, draws heaven's attention.* *This ought to challenge and comfort us. We are not in competition in God's kingdom. We are simply called to be faithful. Whatever the sacrifice our calling may demand, the measure of our reward is not in the scope of our task but in our fidelity to it. The blessings of God seem to be arranged in a divine, logical order in the lives of God's children. We do not have to rush for the second if we have not yet received the first. Sins (iniquities) block our way to receiving God's many benefits or blessings. Sin must first be removed out of our lives if we want to have God's blessings. For, *"if I regard* (allow) *iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me"* - and bless me (Psalm 66:18). In our Bible passage, the first benefit stated there is *"forgiveness of sin"*. Saturday, 22nd August, 2026 TITLE: "EQUIPPED BY GOD'S WORD, PERFECTED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (KJV) "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." Hebrews 13:20–21 (KJV) "Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "God's Word equips us, and God's grace enables us to fulfil His will." DAY'S REFLECTION God has not called us to live the Christian life without guidance or spiritual equipment. He has given us His Word and His grace to shape our character, direct our lives, and prepare us for good works. Paul declares in 2 Timothy 3:16 that "All scripture is given by inspiration of God." This means Scripture comes from God and carries divine authority. It is profitable—useful and beneficial—for every area of spiritual development. The Word provides doctrine, teaching us what is true. It brings reproof, showing us when we are going wrong. It brings correction, helping us get back on the right path. It provides instruction in righteousness, teaching us how to live in a way that pleases God. Verse 17 says that the purpose is that the servant of God may be "perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." Here, perfect carries the idea of being complete or mature, while throughly furnished means fully equipped or prepared. God does not give us His Word merely so that we can gain biblical knowledge; He gives it to prepare us for practical Christian living and service. Hebrews 13:20–21 adds another important truth. The God of peace is actively working in His people, making them ready "to do his will." The phrase "working in you" reminds us that spiritual growth is not achieved by human effort alone. God works within us through Christ, shaping our desires, strengthening our character, and enabling us to do what pleases Him. This gives us a beautiful partnership: God's Word teaches us what to do, and God's grace enables us to do it. Life experience shows that having instructions is not enough; we must apply them. A person can own a Bible and still fail to experience transformation if the Word is not read, believed, obeyed, and practised. Likewise, we may have good intentions but need God's strength to carry them out consistently. Therefore, make God's Word part of your daily life. Read it, meditate upon it, receive its correction, and practise its instructions. At the same time, depend on God's grace rather than your own strength. God is still working in you. He is equipping you for the assignment He has given you and preparing you for every good work. MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S) Psalm 119:105 (KJV) "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Spiritual maturity involves putting God's Word into practice. 4. God works within us to enable us to fulfil His will. 5. We should depend on God's grace rather than human strength alone. 6. Every believer is called and equipped for good works that glorify God. EVERYDAY ACTION Read God's Word today, obey one truth it teaches, and ask God to help you put it into practice. PRAYER Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and Your grace. Teach me, correct me, equip me, and work in me so that I may fulfil Your will and abound in every good work. In Jesus' name, Amen. Brenda Walsh Ministries When Life Suddenly Changes. Everything in your life could be going along quite smoothly when, all of a sudden, your life is changed in an instant! It could be a phone call, an email, text, or knock at the door that changes your life forever. Perhaps a spouse announces they want a divorce, you receive a grim diagnosis, a best friend betrays you, a loved one dies, or a hundred other reasons. No matter what devastating loss you are dealt, how you pick up the pieces makes a huge difference in how you live the rest of your life. Some become bitter and angry, while others sink in a deep depression, and still others walk around numb as if they are in a soundproof bubble, not able to experience life – only watch it pass them by. None of these scenarios will give you the abundant life that God wants you to have. Although it is heartbreaking to experience pain and loss, please know that God can heal your broken heart and give you His gift of joy! The Bible says in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” With Jesus, you can face each day with renewed hope, knowing He loves you with an everlasting love. When your life suddenly changes, don’t allow the devil to separate you from Jesus! Put your trust in God, knowing you are in His plan; He will never leave you or forsake you, and He will give you strength and courage to face each day – and be a shining light for Him! Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 ɴᴋᴊᴠ Salvation is offered to all, but not all are convinced they need to be saved. Saved from what, they might say? In Acts 16 we read of Paul and Silas chained in a prison, and they were being watched by a jailer who had been ordered to “keep them securely” (Acts 16:23). The jailer may not have had any visible chains, but he was the one in need of salvation, not Paul and Silas. The shackles of sin are very real, and apart from Christ we are all slaves of sin (Jn. 8:34). It took an earthquake for the jailer to come to his senses and ask the question, “what must I do to be saved?” Though they had not committed a crime, Paul and Silas had been beaten and thrown into prison while they waited for a verdict from the officials. In contrast, the jailer’s verdict had already been pronounced concerning his sin: the punishment was death. Yet he was allowed to continue his daily affairs until the execution of his sentence. What could be done to save him from this predicament? We are all guilty sinners wandering around at risk of reoffending, and the answer is the same for us as it was for the jailer: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31). There is coming a day when condemnation will fall on all those who have sinned, but there is “no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1). Christ was the only sinless Person, and He took pity on us and offered Himself as a substitute, so that we might be set free. There is nothing you can do, but the only answer to your guilt is something that has already been done. The Lord Jesus Christ died so that you can have everlasting life: “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (Jn. 3:17).
