• We are living in days when contending for the faith seems like foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved we know this is the power of God.
Jude Reminds us not only to celebrate our fellowships but also to contend for what we believe in .

    Remember these points
    1. Contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people.” — Jude 1:3
To contend means to earnestly stand for, protect, and defend the truth of the Gospel.
    2. Know the faith you are defending — Jude 1:3
You cannot contend for truth if you don't know the truth.
    3. Recognize that the faith was entrusted to the church — Jude 1:3
The Gospel is a sacred responsibility, not something to be casually changed.
    4. Contend because false teaching exists — Jude 1:4
Jude connects the call to contend directly with false teachers entering among believers.
    5. Don't allow God's grace to be distorted — Jude 1:4
Grace must never be turned into permission for immorality.
    6. Don't compromise Christ's lordship — Jude 1:4
Jesus is not merely Savior; He is Lord.
Remember biblical examples — Jude 1:5–11
Jude uses Israel, rebellious angels, Sodom and Gomorrah, Cain, Balaam, and Korah to show what happens when God's truth and authority are rejected.
    7. Don't be intimidated by ungodliness — Jude 1:14–15
Jude reminds believers that God will ultimately judge ungodliness.
    8. Remember the apostles' teaching — Jude 1:17–18
The church contends by remaining anchored in what the apostles taught.
    9. Build yourself spiritually while contending — Jude 1:20
Contending is not merely arguing with others; it begins with strengthening your own faith.
    10. Pray while you contend — Jude 1:20
The battle for truth is not won by human arguments alone. Jude connects contending with praying in the Holy Spirit.
    11. Remain in God's love — Jude 1:21
Standing for truth must never cause us to abandon God's love.
    12. Rescue people rather than merely condemn them — Jude 1:22–23
The goal is not simply to prove someone wrong. Some need mercy; others need urgent rescue.

    Note
    The heart of Jude's message
Discern what is false → Contend for what is true → Remain faithful → Rescue those who are being led astray.

Remember for it to work outside ourselves it must first work within ourselves.
We are living in days when discernment is taken lightly, yes people may call it extreme but its the only way to master the right way, right people, right thing.
One can get it through reading the Word, praying in the Holy Spirit and knowledge of the Truth.

    Prayer
Dear Lord, help us discern. Help our hearts i'to master this in Jesus Christ name.

Love Is In the Little Things

    By Yvonne Shelton

    August 22nd, 2026

“It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24

I don’t know about you, but as I get older, my memory is getting less sharp. For the past couple of weeks, I’d searched for some bank checks I had ordered. I looked everywhere, and couldn’t find them. I knew I’d ordered them, and some of them had arrived, but I couldn’t find the rest.

I was planning on leaving town, so things were getting down to the wire. But I couldn’t leave without finding out what happened to my checks. So, I prayed. Lord, I know this may seem like a small thing, but I really need to find my checks. Please help me! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Literally, as soon as I said “Amen,” the phone rang. It was my friend, Dee from 3ABN. She said, “I’m here at the post office and they say they have some checks for Magnify Him Publishing. Isn’t that your company? They didn’t want to send them back, but because they’re in your company’s name, they weren’t sure they were yours.”

I couldn’t believe it! I had just prayed about these checks, and the Lord answered my prayer immediately! What a mighty God we serve! What a faithful Father! He was showing me that He hears even the smallest requests. It was such a faith-enhancing moment! I was so taken aback by His timing. Dee just “happened” to be at the post office when I was praying. The postmaster just “happened” to ask her about my checks. As my husband, Danny would ask, “Is that coincidence, or Divine Providence?”

To me, it’s obviously Divine Providence! There is no request too small or too large for God. He is so kind. Isaiah 54:10 says, “For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed….”

Never feel as though He’s too busy to hear you, or that your petition is too insignificant for Him to address. He loves each and every one of us and shows up right on time. He may not always answer immediately, and He may not say yes every time. But He will always do what’s best for His children. He shows us that love is in the little things.

  • Daily Bible Lesson.
WE ASK GOD FOR MORE LIGHT—THEN MAKE EXCUSES WHEN HIS LIGHT REQUIRES CHANGE

“Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.” — 1 Samuel 15:22

    We pray:

    “Lord, show me Your will.”

Then His light touches something we love—

our time, appetite, appearance, character, location, or tongue—

    and suddenly:

    “My situation is different.”
    “Everyone does it.”
    “I'm not convicted.”

Perhaps our greatest problem is not always lack of light.

IT IS THE HUMAN HEART'S AMAZING ABILITY TO EXPLAIN AWAY THE LIGHT IT DOES NOT WANT TO OBEY.

    Jesus asks:

“Why call ye Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” — Luke 6:46

So here is the question beneath every reform:

ARE WE SEEKING GOD'S WILL—OR ASKING GOD TO APPROVE OURS?

    ---

① SABBATH REFORM—WHO OWNS YOUR TIME?

    THE EXCUSES:

    “I have to work.”
    “Most Christians worship Sunday.”
    “God knows my heart.”

    Yes—God knows the heart.

    And Jesus says:

“If ye love Me, keep My commandments.” — John 14:15

    God's command still reads:

“The seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God.” — Exodus 20:10

Obedience may cost convenience, approval, opportunity—even income.

    But faith asks something deeper:

    WHAT IS JESUS WORTH?

“We ought to obey God rather than men.” — Acts 5:29

Do not merely argue for the Sabbath.

KNOW THE LORD OF THE SABBATH—and ask Him for faith to walk in His footsteps.

    ---

② HEALTH REFORM—HAS APPETITE RENAMED ITSELF “NECESSITY”?

    THE EXCUSES:

    “My body needs it.”
    “I've always eaten this way.”
“We're all going to die anyway.”

But this body is not ours to abuse.

“Ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” — 1 Corinthians 6:20

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink… do all to the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

Health reform is not salvation by menu.

It is stewardship of a body purchased by Christ.

Inspiration warns of those who “frame excuses and make necessities which have no existence” while resisting health light. — Counsels on Diet and Foods, p. 399

    What a warning:

APPETITE IS A TERRIBLE COUNSELOR WHEN ASKED TO JUDGE ITS OWN HABITS.

    Stop asking only:

    “Do I enjoy it?”

    Ask:

“WILL THIS KEEP MY BODY AND MIND FIT FOR CHRIST'S SERVICE?”

    ---

③ DRESS REFORM—WHO ARE WE TRYING TO PLEASE?

    THE EXCUSES:

    “It's only fashion.”
“God only looks at the heart.”
“I don't want to look different.”

    Yes:

“The LORD looketh on the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7

    And Scripture also calls for:

    “Modest apparel.” — 1 Timothy 2:9

    The issue is not ugliness.

    Not neglect.

    Not a religious uniform.

    The question is:

WHO IS SHAPING MY APPEARANCE—CHRIST OR THE WORLD?

Christian dress should reflect modesty, simplicity, health, dignity, and good taste without making self the attraction.

CLOTHING CANNOT SAVE THE HEART—BUT THE MASTER OF THE HEART WILL INFLUENCE THE CLOTHING.

    Let your appearance quietly testify:

    “I BELONG TO CHRIST.”

    ---

    ④ CHARACTER REFORM—“THAT'S JUST HOW I AM.”

Perhaps no excuse protects cherished defects more effectively.

    Anger becomes “my personality.”
    Pride becomes “confidence.”
    Bitterness becomes “what they deserve.”

    Then comes the universal shield:

    “Nobody is perfect.”

    True.

But Jesus never made imperfection an excuse for refusing transformation.

“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 2:5

Christ does not merely forgive us in the old life.

    HE BEGINS MAKING US NEW.

“When the character of Christ shall be perfectly reproduced in His people, then He will come to claim them as His own.” — Christ's Object Lessons, p. 69

    Stop defending your defect with:

    “THAT'S WHO I AM.”

    Bring it to Jesus:

    “LORD, MAKE ME LIKE YOU.”

    ---

⑤ LOCATION REFORM—WHY DID INSPIRATION CRY, “OUT OF THE CITIES”?

    Here excuses become painfully practical:

    “My job is here.”
    “My children's opportunities are here.”
“I'll move when everything becomes convenient.”

    Yet Inspiration repeatedly urged:

“Out of the cities, out of the cities! This is the message the Lord has been giving me.” — Country Living, p. 29

    Why?

    Not because soil saves souls.

But country surroundings can favor health, simplicity, useful labor, children learning from nature, greater separation from corrupting influences, and preparation for difficult times.

God's first home for humanity was not a congested metropolis.

“The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden.” — Genesis 2:8

    Abraham lived as a pilgrim.

Lot “pitched his tent toward Sodom.” — Genesis 13:12

    Their stories remind us:

LOCATION CANNOT CONVERT THE HEART—BUT ENVIRONMENT CAN POWERFULLY INFLUENCE IT.

    Yet Inspiration also counseled:

“Out of the cities; but not a moment before God would have us go.” — Country Living, p. 26

    So the message is not:

    PANIC AND RUN.

    It is:

    PRAY.
    PREPARE.
    SIMPLIFY.
    LEARN.
    WATCH PROVIDENCE.
AND WHEN GOD OPENS THE WAY—OBEY.

    And remember:

YOU CAN LEAVE BABYLON GEOGRAPHICALLY WHILE BABYLON STILL LIVES IN YOUR HEART.

    Christ's first relocation project is:

SELF OFF THE THRONE—CHRIST ON IT.

    ---

⑥ SPEECH REFORM—CAN A CONVERTED HEART KEEP AN UNCONVERTED TONGUE?

    Here the excuses sound innocent:

    “I'm only joking.”
    “But it's true!”
“I just needed to release my feelings.”

    Scripture answers:

“Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting… but rather giving of thanks.” — Ephesians 5:4

“Speak evil of no man.” — Titus 3:2

    And instead:

“That which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” — Ephesians 4:29

    Imagine that standard:

    WORDS THAT MINISTER GRACE.

    No gossip.

    No slander.

    No degrading jesting.

    No cutting sarcasm.

    No dishonest flattery.

No spreading bitterness from heart to heart.

“Bless, and curse not.” — Romans 12:14

This does not mean hiding wrongdoing.

    Jesus rebuked sin.

    Nathan confronted David.

    Paul corrected churches.

Truth sometimes must hurt before it heals.

    But Scripture says:

“Speaking the truth in love.” — Ephesians 4:15

    Before speaking, ask:

    IS IT TRUE?
    IS IT NECESSARY?
    IS IT LOVING?
WILL IT BUILD RATHER THAN POISON?
WOULD I SAY IT THIS WAY IN THE VISIBLE PRESENCE OF JESUS?

“Let the law of kindness be upon your lips and the oil of grace in your heart.” — Christ's Object Lessons, p. 337

    What a standard:

    **TRUTH ON THE LIPS.

    GRACE IN THE HEART.**

    ---

⑦ PERHAPS THE MOST DANGEROUS EXCUSE—“I'M NOT CONVICTED.”

    Sometimes that is sincere.

    Conscience must never be forced.

    But sometimes:

    “I'M NOT CONVICTED”

    really means:

“I DON'T WANT TO INVESTIGATE THIS DEEPLY ENOUGH TO BECOME CONVICTED.”

    Jesus reveals a searching principle:

“If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine.” — John 7:17

    Notice the order:

    WILLINGNESS → UNDERSTANDING → OBEDIENCE.

    Before asking,

    “Is this really required?”

    ask:

“LORD, IF YOUR WORD SHOWS ME THAT I AM WRONG—AM I WILLING TO CHANGE?”

That question exposes whether we want truth—

    or merely reassurance.

    ---

⑧ BUT HERE IS THE DANGER ON THE OTHER SIDE—REFORM WITHOUT CHRIST

    Inspiration defines genuine reformation:

“Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices.” — Selected Messages, vol. 1, p. 128

    Truth must reach:

    the calendar,
    the kitchen,
    the wardrobe,
    the temper,
    the address,
    the tongue,
    and the choices nobody sees.

“Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only.” — James 1:22

    But never miss this:

REFORMATION WITHOUT CHRIST CAN PRODUCE A PHARISEE.

    You can keep Sabbath—

    and hate your brother.

    Eat perfectly—

    and feed on pride.

    Dress modestly—

    and advertise self-righteousness.

    Move to the country—

    and take worldliness with you.

    Guard your tongue publicly—

    while bitterness rules privately.

Jesus did not come merely to rearrange our habits.

HE CAME TO RECREATE OUR HEARTS.

“Without Me ye can do nothing.” — John 15:5

    ---

    THE QUESTION BENEATH EVERY REFORM

    When Christ touches your—

    TIME—will He be Lord?

    APPETITE—will He be Lord?

    APPEARANCE—will He be Lord?

    CHARACTER—will He be Lord?

    LOCATION—will He be Lord?

    TONGUE—will He be Lord?

    There it is.

DOES JESUS HAVE PERMISSION TO CHANGE EVERYTHING?

“If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” — Luke 9:23

Perhaps we do not need another argument.

    Perhaps we need another surrender.

    Instead of continually praying:

    “LORD, GIVE ME MORE LIGHT,”

    perhaps we need to pray:

“LORD, FORGIVE ME FOR RESISTING THE LIGHT I ALREADY HAVE.”

    Take my appetite.

    Take my pride.

    Take my temper.

    Take my tongue.

    Take my plans.

    Take my home.

    TAKE MY WHOLE HEART.

“Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?” — Acts 9:6

    NO MORE EXCUSES.
    NO MORE BARGAINING WITH LIGHT.
NO MORE TRYING TO OUTREASON GOD.

    CHRIST BEFORE CONVENIENCE.
    FAITH BEFORE FEAR.
    TRUTH BEFORE TRADITION.
    SURRENDER BEFORE SELF.

Because when Jesus truly becomes Lord—

REFORMATION IS NO LONGER SOMETHING GOD MUST FORCE FROM US.

IT BECOMES SOMETHING LOVE IS WILLING TO SURRENDER TO HIM.
Daily Bible Lesson. WE ASK GOD FOR MORE LIGHT—THEN MAKE EXCUSES WHEN HIS LIGHT REQUIRES CHANGE “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.” — 1 Samuel 15:22 We pray: “Lord, show me Your will.” Then His light touches something we love— our time, appetite, appearance, character, location, or tongue— and suddenly: “My situation is different.” “Everyone does it.” “I'm not convicted.” Perhaps our greatest problem is not always lack of light. But Jesus never made imperfection an excuse for refusing transformation. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 2:5 Christ does not merely forgive us in the old life. HE BEGINS MAKING US NEW. “When the character of Christ shall be perfectly reproduced in His people, then He will come to claim them as His own.” — Christ's Object Lessons, p. 69 Stop defending your defect with: “THAT'S WHO I AM.” Bring it to Jesus: “LORD, MAKE ME LIKE YOU.” --- ⑤ LOCATION REFORM—WHY DID INSPIRATION CRY, “OUT OF THE CITIES”? Here excuses become painfully practical: “My job is here.” “My children's opportunities are here.” “I'll move when everything becomes convenient.” Yet Inspiration repeatedly urged: “Out of the cities, out of the cities! This is the message the Lord has been giving me.” — Country Living, p. 29 Why? Not because soil saves souls. But country surroundings can favor health, simplicity, useful labor, children learning from nature, greater separation from corrupting influences, and preparation for difficult times. God's first home for humanity was not a congested metropolis. “The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden.” — Genesis 2:8 Abraham lived as a pilgrim. Lot “pitched his tent toward Sodom.” — Genesis 13:12 Their stories remind us: LOCATION CANNOT CONVERT THE HEART—BUT ENVIRONMENT CAN POWERFULLY INFLUENCE IT. Yet Inspiration also counseled: “Out of the cities; but not a moment before God would have us go.” — Country Living, p. 26 So the message is not: PANIC AND RUN. It is: PRAY. PREPARE. SIMPLIFY. LEARN. WATCH PROVIDENCE. AND WHEN GOD OPENS THE WAY—OBEY. And remember: YOU CAN LEAVE BABYLON GEOGRAPHICALLY WHILE BABYLON STILL LIVES IN YOUR HEART. Christ's first relocation project is: SELF OFF THE THRONE—CHRIST ON IT. --- ⑥ SPEECH REFORM—CAN A CONVERTED HEART KEEP AN UNCONVERTED TONGUE? Here the excuses sound innocent: “I'm only joking.” “But it's true!” “I just needed to release my feelings.” Scripture answers: “Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting… but rather giving of thanks.” — Ephesians 5:4 “Speak evil of no man.” — Titus 3:2 And instead: “That which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” — Ephesians 4:29 Imagine that standard: WORDS THAT MINISTER GRACE. No gossip. No slander. No degrading jesting. No cutting sarcasm. No dishonest flattery. No spreading bitterness from heart to heart. “Bless, and curse not.” — Romans 12:14 This does not mean hiding wrongdoing. Jesus rebuked sin. Nathan confronted David. Paul corrected churches. Truth sometimes must hurt before it heals. But Scripture says: “Speaking the truth in love.” — Ephesians 4:15 Before speaking, ask: IS IT TRUE? IS IT NECESSARY? IS IT LOVING? WILL IT BUILD RATHER THAN POISON? WOULD I SAY IT THIS WAY IN THE VISIBLE PRESENCE OF JESUS? “Let the law of kindness be upon your lips and the oil of grace in your heart.” — Christ's Object Lessons, p. 337 What a standard: **TRUTH ON THE LIPS. GRACE IN THE HEART.** --- ⑦ PERHAPS THE MOST DANGEROUS EXCUSE—“I'M NOT CONVICTED.” Sometimes that is sincere. Conscience must never be forced. But sometimes: “I'M NOT CONVICTED” really means: “I DON'T WANT TO INVESTIGATE THIS DEEPLY ENOUGH TO BECOME CONVICTED.” Jesus reveals a searching principle: “If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine.” — John 7:17 Notice the order: WILLINGNESS → UNDERSTANDING → OBEDIENCE. Before asking, “Is this really required?” ask: “LORD, IF YOUR WORD SHOWS ME THAT I AM WRONG—AM I WILLING TO CHANGE?” That question exposes whether we want truth— or merely reassurance. --- ⑧ BUT HERE IS THE DANGER ON THE OTHER SIDE—REFORM WITHOUT CHRIST Inspiration defines genuine reformation: “Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices.” — Selected Messages, vol. 1, p. 128 Truth must reach: the calendar, the kitchen, the wardrobe, the temper, the address, the tongue, and the choices nobody sees. “Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only.” — James 1:22 But never miss this: REFORMATION WITHOUT CHRIST CAN PRODUCE A PHARISEE. You can keep Sabbath— and hate your brother. Eat perfectly— and feed on pride. Dress modestly— and advertise self-righteousness. Move to the country— and take worldliness with you. Guard your tongue publicly— while bitterness rules privately. Jesus did not come merely to rearrange our habits. HE CAME TO RECREATE OUR HEARTS. “Without Me ye can do nothing.” — John 15:5 --- THE QUESTION BENEATH EVERY REFORM When Christ touches your— TIME—will He be Lord? APPETITE—will He be Lord? APPEARANCE—will He be Lord? CHARACTER—will He be Lord? LOCATION—will He be Lord? TONGUE—will He be Lord? There it is. DOES JESUS HAVE PERMISSION TO CHANGE EVERYTHING? “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” — Luke 9:23 Perhaps we do not need another argument. Perhaps we need another surrender. Instead of continually praying: “LORD, GIVE ME MORE LIGHT,” perhaps we need to pray: “LORD, FORGIVE ME FOR RESISTING THE LIGHT I ALREADY HAVE.” Take my appetite. Take my pride. Take my temper. Take my tongue. Take my plans. Take my home. TAKE MY WHOLE HEART. “Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?” — Acts 9:6 NO MORE EXCUSES. NO MORE BARGAINING WITH LIGHT. NO MORE TRYING TO OUTREASON GOD. CHRIST BEFORE CONVENIENCE. FAITH BEFORE FEAR. TRUTH BEFORE TRADITION. SURRENDER BEFORE SELF. Because when Jesus truly becomes Lord— REFORMATION IS NO LONGER SOMETHING GOD MUST FORCE FROM US. IT BECOMES SOMETHING LOVE IS WILLING TO SURRENDER TO HIM.

  • Choose Forgiveness (Ephesians 4:32)

Almost everyone knows what it feels like to be hurt.

    Someone breaks your trust.

    A friend betrays you.

Someone says something that stays in your heart for years.

    A relationship ends painfully.

    Someone treats you unfairly.

And sometimes the hardest part isn't the pain itself.

It's deciding what to do with that pain.

You may feel like holding on to anger will protect you.

    You may think:

    “They don't deserve my forgiveness.”

And perhaps what happened was genuinely wrong.

But Jesus calls us to something greater than revenge.

    The Bible says:

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Forgiveness doesn't mean pretending that what happened was acceptable.

It doesn't mean saying that the person didn't hurt you.

It doesn't mean you must immediately trust someone who has broken your trust.

And forgiveness doesn't always mean reconciliation.

    Sometimes healthy boundaries are necessary.

But forgiveness means refusing to allow someone else's wrongdoing to control your heart forever.

It means releasing your desire for revenge and placing justice in God's hands.

Jesus gave us the ultimate example.

    He was betrayed.

    Rejected.

    Mocked.

    Beaten.

    Crucified.

Yet even while suffering on the cross, He prayed for those who were hurting Him.

That is the power of God's grace.

And if Christ has forgiven us, we are called to extend that grace to others.

Think about how much God has forgiven you.

    Every mistake.

    Every sinful thought.

    Every wrong decision.

Every time you ignored His voice.

Every time you chose your own way.

We stand in need of grace too.

That doesn't make someone else's wrongdoing insignificant.

It reminds us that we are also people who need forgiveness.

Maybe today you're carrying anger toward someone.

You don't have to pretend everything is fine.

    Bring the pain to God.

Tell Him exactly how you feel.

Ask Him to heal your heart.

Ask Him to help you forgive.

And if necessary, establish wise boundaries.

But don't let bitterness become your identity.

Bitterness can consume the person carrying it more than the person who caused the hurt.

    Forgiveness sets your heart free.

Sometimes forgiveness happens in one decision.

    Sometimes it is a process.

You may have to surrender the same pain to God repeatedly.

    That's okay.

    Keep giving it to Him.

    Keep praying.

    Keep healing.

    Keep choosing grace.

And remember that forgiveness doesn't mean you have to forget the lesson.

You can forgive someone and still learn from what happened.

You can forgive and still protect yourself.

You can forgive and still choose wisdom.

You can forgive without returning to an unhealthy situation.

Forgiveness is not weakness. It is freedom.

If you have hurt someone, don't only ask God for forgiveness.

Where appropriate, have the courage to apologize.

    Say:

    “I was wrong.”

    “I'm sorry.”

    “Please forgive me.”

Humility can begin the healing of a relationship.

And if someone has hurt you, ask God for the strength to release the bitterness.

You may not be able to change what happened.

But with God's help, you can choose what happens next.

Don't let yesterday's pain steal today's peace. Give your hurt to God and choose forgiveness.

Is there someone you need to forgive—or someone you need to ask for forgiveness today?

  • THE FIRE WILL NOT CONSUME YOU
God Will Be With You in the Fire
Key Scriptures: Isaiah 43:2; Daniel 3:16–27; Psalm 66:12
Life can sometimes feel like you’re walking through a raging fire—full of intense pressure, painful trials, rejection, disappointment, financial woes, or challenges that seem insurmountable. But here’s the good news: God doesn’t promise that you’ll never face the fire. Instead, He promises that you won’t have to face it alone. He reassures us, "When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee" (Isaiah 43:2). The fire may be very real, but it won’t have the final say in your life.
Take the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who were thrown into a fiery furnace for standing firm in their faith (Daniel 3:16–18). The king thought he would see them perish, but when he peered into the flames, he was astonished to find four men walking around unharmed (Daniel 3:24–25). God didn’t keep them out of the furnace; instead, He joined them in the fire. When they emerged, they were completely unscathed—not even a hint of smoke lingered on them (Daniel 3:27). Sometimes, God’s most profound presence is not in preventing the fire but in being right there with you in the midst of it.
Your fire may be testing your limits, but it doesn’t have the power to consume you. What was meant to break you can actually become the very place where your faith grows stronger. Psalm 66:12 reminds us, "We went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place." Notice the phrase "through fire." You’re moving through it, not getting stuck there. Your trial has an end date. Your pain serves a purpose. Remember, your current situation doesn’t define where you’re headed. So, don’t give in to the pressure. Don’t let the heat of the moment shake your faith. Keep praying, keep believing, and hold tight to God’s promises. The fire might test you, but it won’t take you down. The flames may be all around, but remember, God’s presence is even closer. You’ll emerge from this stronger, wiser, and with a story that glorifies Him.
    Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for being by our side in every fiery trial we encounter. When the flames rise and the pressure mounts, remind us of your promise that we will not be consumed.
Lord, bolster our faith during these tough times. Grant us the courage of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to stand firm without wavering. Surround us with your presence in every challenging situation, and rescue us from every fire that the enemy has set to bring us down.
Father, transform every trial into a powerful testimony. Let the fire refine us without destroying us, strengthen us without breaking us, and prepare us for the next chapter of your purpose.
We declare: We will walk through the fire, but it will not consume us. We will come out stronger.

    IGNITE YOUTH DEVOTIONAL

Topic: Do Not Ignore the Small Compromise

    Bible Reference
“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much.” Luke 16:10 (NKJV)

    A Short Story
Blessing had always seen herself as a good Christian. She attended church, joined the youth meetings, prayed regularly, and tried to live according to God's Word.

One afternoon, she noticed that she had been given too much change at a shop. The difference was not much. She looked at the money in her hand and thought, “It is only a small amount.”She could easily have kept it. Nobody would know.

She walked a few steps away from the shop, but something inside her made her stop. She remembered that she had been praying for God to trust her with greater responsibilities.

She turned around and returned the money. The following week, something similar happened. This time, it was not money. A friend asked her to lie about where they had been so that their parents would not find out.

Again, it seemed like a small matter. Blessing remembered the change she had returned the previous week. She realized that integrity was not something she could practise only when the matter was serious. She refused to lie.

As she walked home that evening, she understood something she had never considered deeply before. The small decisions she made every day were preparing her for the bigger decisions that would come later.

    Today's Message
Many people want God to trust them with great things, but they ignore the small things.

Jesus said that the person who is faithful in little will also be faithful in much. This means that your character is being developed through ordinary decisions.

A small lie may seem harmless. A little dishonesty may seem insignificant. A secret compromise may appear too small to matter.

But compromise has a way of growing.

The enemy does not always begin by asking you to do something obviously wrong. Sometimes, he starts with something that looks too small to deserve your attention.

Do not measure the seriousness of a decision only by how big it looks. Ask whether it agrees with God's Word.

Your private decisions are shaping your public character.

If you want God to trust you with greater responsibility, learn to honour Him in the little things first.

    What To Do Today
    1. Pay attention to the small decisions you normally overlook.

    2. Refuse to justify dishonesty because the matter seems insignificant.

    3. Keep your word, even when nobody will punish you for breaking it.

    4. Remember that character is built through repeated choices.

    Prayer
Lord, help me to be faithful in little things. Give me the strength to reject every compromise, no matter how small it appears. Build integrity into my character and prepare me for everything You have planned for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    Daily Challenge
Today, choose honesty in one small situation where it would be easier to compromise. Let your decision be an act of worship to God.

  • TODAY'S COMMAND.
A command is not passive but it's a present order that we are all expected to fulfil.
After a long process with different kinds of warnings, Jude speaks of what we are supposed to do not tomorrow , not what was supposed to be done yesterday but to be done today .
    1. Keep building yourselves up on your most sacred faith.
    2. Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit.
    3. Keep yourselves in the love of God
Yes this is supposed to be done as you all wait for our Lord Jesus Christ in His mercies to give eternal life.

Are You Able To Do It?
Yes in that waiting room as we wait for this eternal life by His mercies. Yes building yourselves , praying in the Holy Spirit and keeping yourself in the love of God?

    Prayer.
Dear Lord help us to be able to do these things. On our own our building will crumble, we will not be able to pray for the Holy Spirit himself help us in prayer and keeping ourselves will be difficult but it is in you we live , we move and have our being..
Help us in the name of Jesus Christ.

  • GOD’S PLAN IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN OUR PLAN

Sometimes God’s timing doesn’t make sense to us. We may wonder why a door closed, why an answer hasn’t come, or why the journey is taking so long.

But remember: God sees what we cannot see. He knows your future, cares for you, protects you, guides your steps, and gives you hope.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

Don’t give up because things aren’t happening on your schedule. Trust the process. Trust His timing. Trust the One who never fails.

    Keep praying.
    Keep believing.
    Keep trusting.
