CHRISTIANITY IS A LIFELONG JOURNEY How long does it take a Christian to reach completeness, to become spiritually mature; to display all God intends him to be? The simple answer: a lifetime. Christianity is a lifelong journey, an adventure. It's not an event or a temporary project. In Phillipians 3, Paul had just written about his goals to gain Christ, and be found in Him with the righteousness that comes only through faith in the sinless Son of God. He wanted to know Christ and the power of His resurrection, even through fellowship with His suffering. (Phil. 3, 8-11) Paul had come far in his spiritual growth, he had completely surrendered all his former status for the cause of the gospel of Christ. He had progressed from persecuting followers of Jesus to teaching believers how to live the christian life. (Phil. 3, 17) Throughout the epistles, christians are instructed and encouraged to "grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord". We are to "press on ... that we may "lay hold of that which Christ Jesus" has obtained for us. (Phil. 3, 12) "Press on" suggests pursuing the goal with all deliberate speed and intentionality. It is a continual action and each new day presents another opportunity to become more of what God has designed us to be.

on Aug 24th 2026 our 14 year young Granddaughter made her decision independently to become baptised in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Eph 6:12 — we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness. I fought them with Word of God — Eph 6:17 — sword of Spirit, which is Word of God — 2 Cor 10:4-5 — mighty to pull down strongholds. Why this spiritual warfare? Because my calling fought Satan & works of Satan. 1 John 3:8 — For this purpose Son of God manifested, that He might destroy works of devil. That purpose is my calling. Acts 26:18 — to turn them from darkness to light, and from power of Satan to God. Rev 12:17 — dragon enraged, went to make war with offspring who keep commandments and have testimony of Jesus. RED NO.7 MEANS COMPLETE — ORDER FINISHED Red No.7 means complete — Gen 2:2 — on seventh day God ended His work — John 19:30 — It is finished. Disciplinary action of suffering, testing, bleaching hedge — done/complete in my life now by Red No.7. Order finished. You’re Always on His Mind Psalms 115:12 YHWH hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. No one cares about your life more than YHWH does. In fact, he cares about your life more than you do. There’s an old Willie Nelson song, “You Were Always on My Mind.” But the idea behind that song just isn’t true. No matter how much you love someone, they can’t be on your mind all the time. But I want to tell you this: You are always on YHWH’s mind. He is never not thinking about you. He’s thinking about you right now. The Scriptures teach this over and over. Psalms 115:12 YHWH hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. And 1 Peter 5:7 says… 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Whatever concerns you concerns YHWH - all the things you’re worried about or afraid about. There is nothing in your life you’re concerned about that YHWH isn’t concerned about, because you are always on his mind. Because you’re always on YHWH’s mind, he’s always looking out for you. And that means you can always trust his plan for your life. Before Messiah was born, Mary accepted YHWH’s destiny for her life because she knew YHWH was always looking out for her. After the angel told her that YHWH had chosen her as the mother of his Son, she said the following… Luke 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. What does “mindful” mean? That means YHWH is alert. He’s attentive. He’s aware. He’s focused. He’s paying attention. When nobody else is paying attention to you, YHWH’s paying attention to you. He notices everything. In fact, Messiah said this about your life… Matthew 10:29-30 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. I like the cross reference for that scripture… Luke 12:6-7 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before YHWH? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. You don’t know the number of hairs on your head—but YHWH does. That’s how much attention he pays to your life! YHWH’s mindfulness—his attention, his concern—made Mary trust YHWH with her destiny. Will you trust him with your destiny too? He cared for the disciples when the where in the boat and it was about to sink… Mark 4:38-39 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Rabbi, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Psalms 8:4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? Job 7:17 What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? DAILY BREAD FELLOWSHIP DBF-001-033 Today’s Scripture John 2:12 (ESV) “After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there for a few days.” Opening the Scriptures The first great sign at Cana was complete. Jesus had manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him. John now records something that may appear much less important. Jesus traveled to Capernaum with His mother, His brothers, and His disciples, and they remained there for a few days. There is no miracle recorded. There is no great public teaching. There is no dramatic event. Yet John includes this ordinary moment in his Gospel. Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God who became flesh, truly entered human life. He traveled from place to place. He spent time with His family and disciples. He experienced the ordinary rhythms of life in this world. The glory revealed at Cana belonged to the same Jesus who now traveled with those around Him. Living God’s Word Today We can easily begin to think that only dramatic moments matter in the Christian life. We remember conversions, answered prayers, great acts of ministry, powerful sermons, and extraordinary circumstances. But most of our Christian lives are not lived in extraordinary moments. They are lived in ordinary days. We wake up. We work. We care for our families. We speak with neighbors. We serve others. We fulfill responsibilities. We read God’s Word. We pray. And then another day begins. These ordinary days matter. Christian faithfulness is not measured only by what we do when something extraordinary happens. It is also revealed by how we live when nothing remarkable seems to be happening. Are we faithful when nobody notices? Are we truthful in ordinary conversations? Are we patient with our families? Do we work honestly? Do we continue reading Scripture when we do not feel spiritually excited? Do we continue following Christ when life seems routine? The disciples had witnessed an extraordinary sign at Cana. Now they simply continued traveling with Jesus. That is discipleship. We follow Christ through remarkable days and ordinary ones. Our circumstances change. Our Lord does not. Do not spend your life waiting for some great spiritual moment while neglecting the opportunities for obedience God has placed before you today. Faithfulness in small things matters. Faithfulness in ordinary days matters. Faithfulness when nobody applauds matters. Wherever Christ leads, continue following Him. Question for Today Will you faithfully follow Christ even when today seems completely ordinary? Respond: “Lord Jesus, help me to be faithful every day.”
