  • *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - THURSDAY, 20TH AUGUST, 2026.*

    *TAKE HEED WHAT YOU HEAR*

    Scripture:
“And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.” — Mark 4:24 (KJV)

*Reflection – Be Careful What You Allow Into Your Heart*

Jesus teaches us in Mark 4:24 to pay careful attention to what we hear. Not every voice deserves our attention, and not every message deserves a place in our hearts.

What we repeatedly hear can influence our thoughts, attitudes, decisions, faith, and ultimately our lives. Therefore, Christ calls us to become intentional listeners—people who listen to God's Word, receive it with faith, and put it into practice.

The second part of the verse reminds us that spiritual understanding grows when we faithfully respond to what God has already revealed. When we value God's truth and live by it, He gives us greater understanding and deeper spiritual maturity.

Today, let us ask: What voices are shaping my life? Am I listening more to fear or faith? To discouragement or God's promises? To human opinions or the truth of Scripture?

    *Prophetic Declaration:*
Today, I declare that my ears are attentive to the voice of God. I shall hear His Word with understanding, receive it with faith, and obey it with a willing heart.

I declare that every voice of fear, discouragement, confusion, negativity, and deception that seeks to weaken my faith shall not control me. I choose to listen to the voice of truth, wisdom, faith, hope, and righteousness.

Today, I receive grace to discern what I should hear and what I should reject. The Holy Spirit shall sharpen my spiritual discernment and protect my heart from influences that are contrary to God's will.

I declare that God's Word shall take root deeply within me. It shall shape my thoughts, guide my decisions, influence my relationships, and direct my actions.

I proclaim that as I faithfully apply God's Word, greater wisdom and understanding shall be given to me. I shall grow spiritually, mature in faith, and become more effective in fulfilling my God-given purpose.

Today, I declare God's wisdom over my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and destiny. I shall hear the right counsel, recognize the right opportunities, and make decisions that align with God's purpose.

I declare that I shall not allow negative words spoken about me to define my identity. My identity is rooted in Christ, and my confidence comes from God's Word.

I proclaim that my mouth shall also become a source of life. I will be careful not only about what I hear but also about what I speak. My words shall encourage, strengthen, heal, and point people toward Christ.

Today, I receive grace to become a doer of God's Word and not merely a hearer. What God teaches me shall produce visible transformation in my character and conduct.

I declare that every good seed of God's Word planted in my heart shall produce fruit. My faith shall grow, my wisdom shall increase, my discernment shall deepen, and my life shall become increasingly fruitful.

    I will hear God's Word.
    I will receive God's Word.
    I will obey God's Word.
I will grow through God's Word.
And I will become a blessing to others through God's Word.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

    *Action Steps for today:*
Begin with God's Word: Spend time reading Scripture before filling your mind with social media, news, or other voices.

Read Mark 4:1–25: Meditate especially on Jesus' teaching about hearing and receiving God's Word.

Declare: “I take heed to what I hear. My ears are open to God's truth, and my heart is ready to obey His Word.”

Check your influences: Identify one negative voice, habit, or source of information that has been affecting your faith and reduce its influence.

Speak life: Intentionally encourage at least one person today with words of faith, hope, and love.

Apply what you hear: Ask yourself, “What is God asking me to do with what I have learned?” Then take one practical step.

End with thanksgiving: Thank God for His Word and ask Him for greater wisdom and understanding.

    *Prayer:*
    Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving me Your Word to guide, correct, strengthen, and transform my life.

Lord Jesus, help me to take heed to what I hear. Give me discernment to recognize Your voice and wisdom to reject every voice that is contrary to Your truth.

Guard my heart from fear, confusion, discouragement, bitterness, gossip, deception, and every negative influence that can weaken my faith.

Let Your Word take deep root in my heart. Give me understanding as I read Scripture and grace to put what I learn into practice.

Give me wisdom concerning my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and future. Help me hear the right counsel and make decisions that honor You.

Let the words of my mouth also bring life and encouragement to others. Make me a faithful hearer and a committed doer of Your Word.

As I faithfully receive and apply Your truth, give me greater wisdom, deeper understanding, stronger faith, and greater spiritual maturity.

Lord, open my ears to hear You, my heart to receive You, and my life to obey You.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

    *Blessing for today:*
May the Lord open your spiritual ears to hear His voice clearly. May He give you discernment to recognize truth, wisdom to reject harmful influences, and grace to obey His Word.

May God's Word take deep root in your heart and produce abundant fruit in your family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and destiny.

May your understanding increase, your faith grow stronger, and your life become a powerful testimony of what happens when God's Word is heard, believed, and obeyed.

    May you hear wisely.
    May you discern accurately.
    May you obey faithfully.
    May you grow continually.
May your life bear much fruit.

“TAKE HEED WHAT YE HEAR.” — MARK 4:24.

Good morning beloved and do have a blessed, discerning, fruitful, and spiritually enriching day

  • THE VOICE THAT CALMS THE STORM
When Jesus Speaks, Chaos Must Obey
Key Scriptures: Mark 4:35–41; Psalm 107:28–29; Isaiah 43:2
Life can throw storms our way that feel completely out of our hands. Sometimes these storms rage around us, and other times, they brew within. You might be grappling with financial strain, family issues, disappointment, uncertainty, illness, or even opposition, leaving you to wonder if God is still by your side. The disciples faced a similar tempest while Jesus was right there in the boat with them. As the waves crashed around them, Jesus was peacefully asleep. When they finally woke Him, He simply rebuked the wind and commanded the sea, "Peace, be still." Instantly, the wind died down, and a profound calm settled in (Mark 4:39). The storm was fierce, but the voice of Jesus was even more powerful.
The disciples were filled with fear because they were fixated on the storm's magnitude rather than the presence of Jesus in their midst. Often, our biggest struggle isn’t the storm itself but the beliefs it instills in us. Fear whispers, "You're going to drown." Discouragement insists, "There’s no escape." Yet, God’s Word reassures us, "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee" (Isaiah 43:2). Having Jesus with you doesn’t mean you’ll never face storms; it means you’ll never have to face them alone.
It’s important to note that Jesus didn’t panic when He encountered the storm. Instead, He spoke directly to it. This shows His authority over situations that seem beyond our control. Psalm 107:29 tells us, "He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still." There are circumstances you can’t change through your own strength, connections, wealth, or intellect, but a single word from Jesus can transform everything. When God speaks, chaos can turn to calm, fear can shift to faith, and what seems impossible can become a powerful tesIf you're caught in a storm today, take a moment to listen for the voice of Jesus. Don’t let the chaos of the storm drown out the Word of God. He’s still whispering, "Peace, be still." The storm might be roaring, but God's voice is even louder. The waves may be crashing, but His authority stands even taller. The night might feel overwhelming, yet His presence is right there with you. Remember, your storm has an expiration date. Keep your faith anchored in Jesus, because the same voice that calmed the sea can soothe your heart, transform your situation, and guide you safely to the other side.
    Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You with gratitude, knowing You are the Lord over every storm. When our hearts are heavy and our circumstances feel chaotic, remind us that Jesus is right there in the boat with us.
Lord, we ask You to speak Your peace into every storm we face. Calm the tempests of fear, confusion, financial strain, family struggles, disappointment, and uncertainty. Silence every voice that urges us to give up, and let Your Word ring louder than our challenges.
Grant us the faith to trust You, even when the waves are crashing around us. Help us remember that while the storm is fleeting, Your presence is everlasting. Lead us safely to the other side, and let every storm we encounter become a testament to Your power and faithfulness.
Jesus, speak into our storms today: "Peace, be still!" Let the winds die down, let the waves settle, and let Your peace reign in our hearts. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

JESUS: THE MIRACLE WORKER AND TEMPLE OF GOD

    TEXT: JOHN 2:1–25

    KEY VERSE:

«“This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.” — John 2:11 (KJV)»

John 2 introduces us to two significant events in the ministry of Jesus: His first recorded miracle at Cana and His cleansing of the temple.

These two events reveal something powerful about Jesus.

He is not only able to change circumstances; He also desires to cleanse and transform lives.

At Cana, Jesus turned water into wine.

In the temple, Jesus confronted everything that had corrupted a place meant for worship.

    The message is clear:

Jesus has power to transform what is empty, restore what is broken, and cleanse what has become polluted.

    THREE LESSONS FROM JOHN 2

    INVITE JESUS INTO YOUR SITUATION.

At the wedding in Cana, the wine ran out.

Mary brought the situation to Jesus.

    John 2:3 says:

    «“They have no wine.”»

The situation appeared embarrassing and hopeless.

    But Jesus was present.

Sometimes we focus so much on what is missing that we forget who is present.

You may have a situation that seems impossible today.

You may have run out of strength.

You may have run out of resources.

You may feel like your joy has disappeared.

But if Jesus is present, there is still hope.

    Take your situation to Jesus.

    Don't only complain about it.

    Don't surrender to fear.

Don't depend solely on human strength.

    Bring it to Christ. 🏽

JESUS CAN TRANSFORM THE ORDINARY INTO SOMETHING GLORIOUS.

Jesus instructed the servants to fill six waterpots with water.

    Then He performed the miracle.

    Water became wine.

John 2:9 records the servants' astonishment at what had happened.

This teaches us that Jesus can take ordinary things and use them for extraordinary purposes.

    Your life may look ordinary.

    Your resources may seem small.

    Your abilities may seem insignificant.

But when you place them in the hands of Jesus, He can do something extraordinary.

Never underestimate what God can do with a surrendered life.

    Your testimony can change.

    Your character can change.

    Your family can change.

    Your ministry can change.

    Your future can change.

    Jesus is still a transformer.

OBEDIENCE IS PART OF THE MIRACLE.

The servants at Cana had a role to play.

They had to fill the waterpots.

They had to draw out the water.

They had to obey the instructions of Jesus.

They did not understand everything Jesus was doing, but they obeyed.

Sometimes we want to see God's miracle while refusing to follow God's instructions.

But faith and obedience belong together.

    When Jesus says forgive—obey.

    When Jesus says pray—obey.

    When Jesus says leave sin—obey.

    When Jesus says serve—obey.

    When Jesus says go—obey.

You don't need to understand everything before you obey God.

    JESUS CLEANSES THE TEMPLE

Later in John 2, Jesus entered the temple and found people buying and selling.

The house of worship had become a marketplace.

Jesus drove them out and declared:

«“Make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.” — John 2:16»

Jesus was deeply concerned about the holiness of God's house.

This should challenge us as believers.

Paul later teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.

    Therefore, we must ask:

What have I allowed into my life that Jesus would want to remove?

Are there attitudes that need to go?

Is there bitterness that needs to go?

Is there secret sin that needs to go?

Are there relationships that are pulling you away from God?

Are there habits that are damaging your spiritual life?

    LET JESUS CLEAN YOUR TEMPLE

Sometimes we ask Jesus to bless our lives while resisting His desire to cleanse our lives.

We want His miracles but not His correction.

We want His blessings but not His discipline.

We want His presence but not His holiness.

    But Jesus does both:

    He transforms and He cleanses.

Allow Him to examine your heart.

Allow Him to remove what does not glorify Him.

Allow Him to restore your spiritual altar.

DON'T TURN YOUR WORSHIP INTO A TRANSACTION

The temple was designed for worship, but it had become a place of business.

This warns us against treating God like a transaction.

Don't serve God only because you want something.

Don't pray only when you need something.

Don't worship only when life is going well.

Don't follow Christ only for blessings.

Jesus deserves our worship because He is Lord.

JESUS KNOWS WHAT IS IN OUR HEARTS

John 2:24–25 says that Jesus knew all people and knew what was in man.

You may hide things from people, but nothing is hidden from Christ.

    He knows your thoughts.

    He knows your motives.

    He knows your struggles.

    He knows your secret battles.

And yet He still calls you closer.

Therefore, don't run from Jesus because of what He already knows.

    Run to Him for transformation.

    ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

When Jesus enters your life, He does not only change your circumstances; He also cleanses your heart and transforms you into a vessel for His glory.

    🏽 PRAYER

    Heavenly Father,

Thank You for revealing the power and glory of Jesus Christ through His Word.

Lord Jesus, come into every area of my life. Transform what needs to be transformed and restore what has been broken.

Teach me to trust You even when I do not understand Your ways. Give me grace to obey Your Word completely.

Cleanse my heart from every attitude, habit, desire, relationship, and sin that does not glorify You.

Make my life a holy temple where Your presence is welcomed and Your name is honored.

Help me never to treat my relationship with You as a transaction. Let my worship come from a genuine heart that loves and honors You.

May Your glory be revealed through my life.

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. 🏽

    THE CALVARY MINISTRY ONLINE
    Birthright is Evangelism
✝️ THE GOSPEL FROM CALVARY 📅 Wednesday, 19th August, 2026 🍷 JESUS: THE MIRACLE WORKER AND TEMPLE OF GOD ✝️🔥 📜 TEXT: JOHN 2:1–25 📜 🔑📖 KEY VERSE: «“This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.” — John 2:11 (KJV)» John 2 introduces us to two significant events in the ministry of Jesus: His first recorded miracle at Cana and His cleansing of the temple. These two events reveal something powerful about Jesus. He is not only able to change circumstances; He also desires to cleanse and transform lives. At Cana, Jesus turned water into wine. In the temple, Jesus confronted everything that had corrupted a place meant for worship. The message is clear: Jesus has power to transform what is empty, restore what is broken, and cleanse what has become polluted. 🔥✝️ 🔥 THREE LESSONS FROM JOHN 2 1️⃣ INVITE JESUS INTO YOUR SITUATION. 🕊️ At the wedding in Cana, the wine ran out. Mary brought the situation to Jesus. John 2:3 says: «“They have no wine.”» The situation appeared embarrassing and hopeless. But Jesus was present. Sometimes we focus so much on what is missing that we forget who is present. You may have a situation that seems impossible today. You may have run out of strength. You may have run out of resources. You may feel like your joy has disappeared. But if Jesus is present, there is still hope. ❤️‍🔥 Take your situation to Jesus. Don't only complain about it. Don't surrender to fear. Don't depend solely on human strength. Bring it to Christ. 🙏🏽 💧 2️⃣ JESUS CAN TRANSFORM THE ORDINARY INTO SOMETHING GLORIOUS. 🔥 Jesus instructed the servants to fill six waterpots with water. 🔥 ❤️‍🔥 3️⃣ OBEDIENCE IS PART OF THE MIRACLE. 👣 The servants at Cana had a role to play. 🏛️ JESUS CLEANSES THE TEMPLE Later in John 2, Jesus entered the temple and found people buying and selling. The house of worship had become a marketplace. Jesus drove them out and declared: «“Make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.” — John 2:16» Jesus was deeply concerned about the holiness of God's house. This should challenge us as believers. Paul later teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we must ask: What have I allowed into my life that Jesus would want to remove? Are there attitudes that need to go? Is there bitterness that needs to go? Is there secret sin that needs to go? Are there relationships that are pulling you away from God? Are there habits that are damaging your spiritual life? 🧹 LET JESUS CLEAN YOUR TEMPLE Sometimes we ask Jesus to bless our lives while resisting His desire to cleanse our lives. We want His miracles but not His correction. We want His blessings but not His discipline. We want His presence but not His holiness. But Jesus does both: He transforms and He cleanses. Allow Him to examine your heart. Allow Him to remove what does not glorify Him. Allow Him to restore your spiritual altar. 🔥 DON'T TURN YOUR WORSHIP INTO A TRANSACTION The temple was designed for worship, but it had become a place of business. Don't follow Christ only for blessings. Jesus deserves our worship because He is Lord. 👑✝️ 👑 JESUS KNOWS WHAT IS IN OUR HEARTS John 2:24–25 says that Jesus knew all people and knew what was in man. You may hide things from people, but nothing is hidden from Christ. He knows your thoughts. He knows your motives. He knows your struggles. He knows your secret battles. • Daily Devotion — August 19 | Acts 19:20 (NKJV)

    God's Truth Always Prevails

Acts 19 describes the powerful work of God in the city of Ephesus. As the gospel spread, many people turned away from sinful practices and publicly demonstrated their repentance by destroying items connected with their former way of life. Their transformed lives became evidence of God's power at work.

Luke concludes this section with a simple but powerful statement: "The word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed." Despite opposition, spiritual darkness, and resistance, nothing could stop God's truth from accomplishing His purpose.

This verse reminds us that God's Word continues to transform lives today. Cultures may change, opposition may arise, and circumstances may seem difficult, but the message of Jesus Christ remains powerful. As believers faithfully live and proclaim the gospel, God continues to accomplish His work.

    Reflection Questions

    1. Am I allowing God's Word to shape my daily life?

    2. What old habits or influences should I leave behind?

    3. How can I help others experience the transforming power of God's Word?

    Prayer

Lord God, thank You that Your Word is living, powerful, and unchanging. Continue to transform my heart through the Scriptures and help me faithfully share the gospel with others. May Your truth always prevail in my life. In Jesus name Amen.

    Practical Application

    ● Spend time reading God's Word every day.

    ● Remove influences that hinder your spiritual growth.

    ● Share God's truth with someone this week.

    Takeaway Thought

Nothing can stop the life-changing power of God's Word.

Good day, brothers and sisters. I believe you are all blessed and doing well in Jesus’ name.

I want to share something I’ve created for the glory of God. As I have shared before, I often play the Bible while I sleep and even while I’m at work. However, I’ve found that many audio Bibles on YouTube don’t always contain the complete text of a particular book.

So, I decided to create my own Audio Bible series, starting with the Gospels. I’m still working on the rest, but I have now completed the Book of Matthew.

It is not only an audio Bible. The full text of Matthew appears on the screen as the Bible is being read, so you can either listen, read along, or do both.

You can play it in your home while cleaning, cooking, or doing other things, or you can listen with your earphones while working. You can also download the video through YouTube so that you can listen to it offline without Wi-Fi or mobile data. Of course, you will need Wi-Fi or data initially to download it.

I also created this because I noticed that some audio Bible videos on YouTube do not always contain the complete text of the book. That is not necessarily wrong, as some may have been created with a particular audience or purpose in mind. But with this series, my goal is simple: the complete text of the book, from beginning to end, without adding to or taking away from the Word.

My prayer is that you will listen to it, read along, be blessed by God's Word, and share it with others. Let us make disciples and share the Gospel with everyone we can.

    Jesus commanded us:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...”
    Matthew 28:19

    And Scripture tells us:
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
    Romans 10:17

I know that for some people, sitting down and reading the Bible can be difficult. I understand this personally because, with little ones around, it isn't always easy to find the time to sit quietly and read. That is one reason I often listen to the Bible.

As you listen, don't just let it play in the background. Listen for God speaking to you through His Word. When God speaks to you, pause. Make notes. Go back and study it. Ask questions. Compare Scripture with Scripture. And most importantly, allow the Word of God to transform your life.

    The Bible says:
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword...”
    Hebrews 4:12

Let's not simply hear the Word let's live it.

“For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.”
    Romans 11:36

May this Audio Bible be a blessing to you, your family, and anyone else who listens to it.

Listen. Read. Study. Share. Make disciples.

    All glory belongs to God.

God bless you all, brothers and sisters, in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

    THE LAW OF GOD

The great principles of God’s law are embodied in the Ten Commandments and exemplified in the life of Christ. They express God’s love, will, and purposes concerning human conduct and relationships and are binding upon all people in every age. These precepts are the basis of God’s covenant with His people and the standard in God’s judgment. Through the agency of the Holy Spirit they point out sin and awaken a sense of need for a Saviour. Salvation is all of grace and not of works, and its fruit is obedience to the Commandments. This obedience develops Christian character and results in a sense of well-being. It is evidence of our love for the Lord and our concern for our fellow human beings. The obedience of faith demonstrates the power of Christ to transform lives, and therefore strengthens Christian witness.
