🌿 Mystical Gardens Tale 🌿 The Cooling Waters Jill had decided that summer had officially become personal. The heat had been unbearable for days. Not the pleasant kind of summer warmth that made people want to sit outside with a cold drink. This was the kind of heat that seemed to crawl beneath your skin and stay there. Jill woke up irritated. She stepped outside and immediately began sweating. “Wonderful,” she muttered. “It's going to be another one of those days.” Her car wouldn't start. “Of course it won't.” The air conditioner at work wasn't working properly. “Of course it isn't.” Someone had left a door open, letting hot air into the building. “Who does that?” Then someone accidentally bumped into her in the hallway. “Watch where you're going!” The woman stopped and stared at Jill. “I'm sorry.” Jill walked away without answering. She didn't notice the hurt look on the woman's face. By lunchtime, Jill was ready to scream. The restaurant was crowded. Someone's child was crying. A man at the next table was talking too loudly. The waitress brought Jill the wrong drink. “This isn't what I ordered.” “I apologize. I'll get you another one.” “And could you please get it right this time?” The waitress's smile disappeared. Jill didn't notice. Or perhaps she did, but she was too irritated to care. Everything seemed to bother her. A phone ringing. A dog barking. Someone chewing too loudly. A car driving too slowly. A person looking at her for what Jill was certain was too long. “What are you looking at?” she snapped. The man quickly looked away. By late afternoon, Jill was exhausted. And angry. Mostly angry. She couldn't even explain why anymore. All she knew was that everything was getting on her nerves. Then, on her way home, Jill saw something she hadn't seen before. A narrow path between two old trees. It hadn't been there yesterday. Jill stopped. She stared at it. Beyond the trees was a faint green glow. Normally, she would have walked away. But today she was hot, tired, frustrated, and completely out of patience and whatever was there had to be better than here, so she stepped onto the path. Within moments, the world changed. The heat disappeared. Jill stopped walking. A cool breeze brushed across her face. She closed her eyes. “Oh…” She hadn't realized how badly she needed that. The garden stretched out before her. Tall trees formed a canopy overhead. Little streams wound between moss-covered stones. Flowers opened beneath the shade, and somewhere nearby, water trickled over smooth rocks. There were no car horns. No ringing phones. No barking dogs. No crying children. No voices demanding anything from her. Just quiet. Beautiful, peaceful quiet. Jill sat beside the stream and dipped her hands into the cool water. For the first time all day, her shoulders relaxed. She took a deep breath. Then another. And suddenly, something uncomfortable happened... She began remembering. The woman in the hallway. “Watch where you're going!” The waitress. “Could you please get it right this time?” The man at the restaurant. “What are you looking at?” Her coworker. “Who does that?” One memory after another came rushing back. Jill lowered her head. “Oh no.” She hadn't simply been having a bad day. She had been handing that bad day to everyone around her. She had taken her frustration, her discomfort, and her exhaustion and thrown them at people who hadn't caused any of it. The garden remained silent. But Jill had the strange feeling that the giant tree at the center of the garden was watching her. “I was miserable,” she whispered. A leaf drifted down beside her. Jill picked it up. “I was hot. I was tired. Everything was going wrong.” She sighed. “But that doesn't mean I had to make everybody else miserable too.” The breeze moved gently through the branches. Jill smiled sadly. “You know what's worse?” She looked toward the path. “I don't even know if any of them deserved an apology from me.” She paused. “Of course they do.” For the first time that day, Jill laughed at herself. She had spent hours thinking everyone else was the problem. But the garden had given her something the heat never could. Perspective. Jill stood. “I can't undo what I said.” She looked toward the great tree. “But I can go back and do better.” The garden seemed to grow a little brighter. Jill stepped onto the path. The heat returned when she reached the other side. But something inside her had changed. The temperature hadn't changed. Her circumstances hadn't changed. Her car was still broken. The air conditioner still wasn't working. Tomorrow might be just as hot. But Jill wasn't going to let the heat decide who she was. The next morning, she found the woman from the hallway. “I'm sorry,” Jill said. The woman looked surprised. “For yesterday. You didn't deserve the way I spoke to you.” Then Jill found the waitress. She apologized there too. And when someone accidentally bumped into her later that afternoon, Jill felt irritation rising inside her. She opened her mouth. Then stopped. She took a breath. “It's okay,” she said. The person smiled. And Jill smiled back. That evening, Jill returned to the garden. She sat beneath the great tree with her feet beside the cool stream. “Thank you,” she whispered. She finally understood something the garden had been trying to teach her. Sometimes we are uncomfortable. Sometimes we are tired. Sometimes the world seems to be working against us. And sometimes we have every reason to be frustrated. But our circumstances may explain why we're hurting without giving us permission to hurt someone else. The garden could cool Jill's skin. But only she could choose to cool the anger in her heart. And that choice was worth far more than a cool breeze. But you can choose what you do with the frustration those things create inside you. Before you hand your bad day to someone else, stop. Breathe. Cool down. Recorded in Psalm 126, regarding the time “when the Lord brought back his exiles to Jerusalem…” “Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭126:5 NLT‬‬ Like the Israelites, you might be in a season of unexpected sadness, but joy, fruit, and abundance are waiting on the other side.  Are you worried about someone in your family? Are you frustrated with someone at work? Are you devastated or numb regarding a situation in your life? Are you baffled by what you see on the news? Is your health failing you? Is this season not quite what you’d hoped? Maybe you truly want to make a difference and you want the people around you to know God, but it’s hard—because you’re trudging forward through tears.  The great news is, seeds aren’t picky about moisture, and tears can be a catalyst for growth. Like any good book or movie, there’s conflict before there’s resolution. Like a woman in labor, there’s pain before there’s new life. Like a prisoner, there’s the angst of captivity before there’s the relief of freedom. Like any real farmer knows, there’s dirt and sweat before there’s any kind of harvest. We don’t always get to choose the environment in which we sow seeds. But regardless, we—people made in the image of God—are called to love Him and love people, to be fruitful and multiply, to go and make disciples, and to trust Him with our grief. Joy is often preceded by tears, which should give us great hope. So, let’s continue to do the good work God has put before us. Let’s continue to plant seeds in faith, even through tears. Let’s honor Him as we sow our seeds and trust Him with the harvest.

Today was a reminder that **things can go wrong, plans can fall apart, fear can creep in, and situations can arise that we simply cannot control—and God can still be right there in the middle of every bit of it.** There were moments today involving my son that frightened me and situations that are still unresolved. There was a frightening situation of my own where I know God's protection was over me. There were phone calls, worries, frustrations, and moments when this mama's mind wanted to run ahead and imagine every possible outcome. But God was there. God was with my son. God was with me. God was in the situations I understood, and He was in the ones I didn't. And somehow, right in the middle of everything, God still gave me time with my church family. I got to fellowship, laugh, talk, play games, eat some good food, and simply enjoy being around people I love. For a little while, the weight of the day wasn't quite so heavy. Then I came home and found one more thing to worry about—my chickens weren't locked up like they were supposed to be. Of course, I panicked again! But they were okay. And once again... **God was there.** Looking back tonight, I realize how much time I spent complaining, worrying, getting frustrated, and making everything feel bigger and worse in my mind. Lord, forgive me for the moments when I focused more on the storm than I did on You. Because You never left. Sometimes faith isn't watching God immediately fix everything. Sometimes faith is knowing that **God is already working while we're still waiting.** There are things tonight that I cannot fix. There are things I don't completely understand. There are things I desperately want resolved. So I am putting them at the feet of Jesus. The fear. The anger. The frustration. The unforgiveness. The questions. The things beyond my control. They don't belong in my hands anymore. God was there today. God is here tonight. And God is already in tomorrow. My job is to keep my eyes on Jesus, trust Him, be patient, and allow Him to move in His time—not mine. **Things happen. Life gets messy. We get scared. We get frustrated. We sometimes forget Who is standing beside us. But God remains faithful through every bit of it.** Tonight, instead of asking, *"Why did all of this happen?"* I'm choosing to say: **"Thank You, Lord, for being there through all of it."** In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏❤️

David cried until his tears became his food. “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God.” — Psalm 42:11 Elijah called down fire from heaven, yet afterward he became so discouraged that he asked God to let him die (1 Kings 19). God didn't rebuke him first—He gave him rest, food, and His gentle presence. Jeremiah was called the weeping prophet. Paul admitted he was under such great pressure that he despaired of life itself. The strongest believers are not those who never struggle. They are the ones who keep returning to Christ. Maybe you're exhausted from trying to be “good enough” Many Christians live as though God's love depends on today's performance. We fail. We feel ashamed. We hide. We try harder. We fail again. But listen to the invitation of Jesus: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 Jesus did not say: Come when you've fixed yourself. He said: Come while you're weary. That changes everything. God is not asking you to carry yourself Some of you are carrying burdens you were never meant to carry. The grief of losing someone you love. Financial pressure. Health problems. Depression. Spiritual dryness. Regret over past sins. Fear about the future. Hear the Word of God: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 Not some of it. All of it. Every fear. Every question. Every sleepless night. Every tear you've cried when nobody else knew. When you feel like God is far away Feelings can be powerful. But they are not always truthful. God's promise is greater than our emotions. “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” — Hebrews 13:5 You may not feel His presence. You may not understand His timing. But His promise has not changed. He is faithful even when our feelings rise and fall. Your failures do not have the final word Perhaps you've fallen into the same sin again. Perhaps you've made promises to God that you've broken. Perhaps you're ashamed. Listen carefully. Satan says, “Hide from God.” Jesus says, “Come to Me.” “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9 The cross is not permission to continue in sin. The cross is proof that forgiveness is available for the repentant heart. There is mercy for those who return. Don't confuse a difficult season with a defeated life Winter is not the end of the tree. Night is not the end of the day. Friday was not the end of Jesus. Resurrection came. Your story is still being written by God. “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5 Morning does come. Sometimes slowly. But it comes. When your faith feels like a tiny ember Maybe you used to burn with passion. Now you barely have enough strength to whisper a prayer. Take hope from this beautiful promise: “A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out.” — Isaiah 42:3 Jesus specializes in restoring smoldering hearts. He does not crush weak believers. He restores them. If today is all you have… Then don't worry about surviving the next ten years. Walk with Jesus today. If you can't run… Walk. If you can't walk… Stand. If you can't stand… Kneel. If all you can pray is one sentence, let it be: “Jesus, hold on to me because I'm struggling to hold on to You.” That prayer is precious to God. God's grace is greater than your weakness Paul pleaded for his hardship to be removed. God answered him with these words: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 Notice this: God did not say, “Your strength is enough.” He said, “My grace is enough.” Your weakness is not the end of God's work. It is often where His power becomes most visible. Hold tightly to these promises “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 “Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.” — Isaiah 40:31 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” — John 14:27 “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 1:6 God finishes what He starts. Some are grieving. Some feel spiritually numb. Some are secretly ready to walk away from the faith. Lord Jesus, draw near to them exactly as You promised. Let the brokenhearted feel Your presence. Replace despair with hope, shame with forgiveness, fear with peace, and weariness with renewed strength. Holy Spirit, breathe fresh life into hearts that have grown cold. Restore the joy of salvation. Give us a hunger for Your Word, a love for prayer, and the courage to keep following Jesus one day at a time. Teach us to trust Your promises more than our feelings. I really was ready to walk away from God myself last year. But after much soul searching. No matter what. I just can't live without Father Jehovah God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit! Plus I don't want the Devil the Satisfaction of quitting on God. I have permanently decided to stick with God & Jesus Christ no matter what happens in my life. The one who reads the Bible but struggles to feel anything. The one who battles temptation, grief, anxiety, disappointment, or loneliness and thinks, “Maybe I'm just a terrible Christian.” If that's you… You are not alone. And more importantly: Jesus has not abandoned you. “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 Notice that Scripture does not say God is only near to the joyful or the victorious. He is especially near to the brokenhearted. Even God's greatest servants wanted to quit Sometimes we imagine that real Christians never struggle. The Bible tells a very different story. David cried until his tears became his food. “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God.” — Psalm 42:11 Elijah called down fire from heaven, yet afterward he became so discouraged that he asked God to let him die (1 Kings 19). God didn't rebuke him first—He gave him rest, food, and His gentle presence. Jeremiah was called the weeping prophet. Paul admitted he was under such great pressure that he despaired of life itself. The strongest believers are not those who never struggle. They are the ones who keep returning to Christ. Nehemiah 4:9, 15-16 NIV But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat. When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to our own work. From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah Good morning and praise God. I am more than happy and Holy Spirit filled as I write this devotion. I am so happy to know my redeemer lives. Hallelujah. Thank you for taking your time to be encouraged by this word as it has encouraged me. Nehemiah choose to do God's work of rebuilding the walls. He prayed for it and wa greatly favored to be authorized in this world by the leaders who had to give him letter. The enemy was not happy about this. The enemy always want God's peiple remain in ruin and shame. To Nehemiah, they came as Tobias , Sanballat and Geshem. They began with pretext that they wanted to help him but Nehemiah had already prayed and so would see the enemy from a distance. When the mental didn't work, they decided to become physical and fight. Nehemiah and the men working with him also armed themselves but never stopped rebuilding until all the work was done. Oh great friend of Jesus, your enemy is watching to stope you from doing God's work. He is trying all ways to stop and maybe have won in some areas of your life and the rebuilding has stopped or is delayed in your life. From this Nehemiah story we are learning how to keep building. It is by taking the full armor of God. The helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, sword of Spirit, shield of faith, belt of Truth and shoes of the Gospel of peace. Dear friend, it is time to focus ahead to what God created you to build and rebuild. The enemy is not above the one who knew he was coming. Our Father knows all about him and is ready to shield and save us from his tricks that wastes our precious time. Sicknesses, stress, strain, fears, hopelessness, pain, dishonor and many more are not what God promised you! You only need that you're more than a conqueror in Jesus name! Youre child of Most High God. Take up your armor and defeat the enemy. Pray, and again I say pray. Talk to God who created you. With Him all things are possible. God loves you, have a blessed day. Three Angels Broadcasting Network Devotional Seek First. By Denielle Babb August 12th, 2026 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 It was my senior year of high school; the night before a big test, and several assignments were due. I didn’t know how I would do it. How could I possibly study for a big test and finish all my homework in time? It felt hopeless. Maybe I should just give up, I thought. It was late, and time for lights out was coming up fast. I was so frustrated. I had barely made a dent in the list of homework that needed to be done. Before going to bed, I prayed, “Lord, I feel so overwhelmed and I don’t know what I am going to do. If You are willing, please help me.” The next morning, I got up early and had started my morning worship when a thought crept in. If I skip my morning worship, it will give me more time to work on my homework, and I can get a few more questions done before class. Then I was reminded of a Bible verse. “But seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” As I thought about the verse, I prayed, Okay Lord, I choose to seek You first this morning, even if it means failure in my studies. Please help me to be content with whatever happens. Then, I pushed the negative thoughts out of my mind and continued with my morning worship. As I walked into my class, I was not looking forward to the day ahead of me. My teacher started with announcements and prayer. Then it was time for the test and the turning in of our homework packets. I knew mine was far from finished, and as I sat there in dread for the next few minutes, my teacher said something I didn’t expect. There would be no test, and the due date for the packet would be extended. I couldn’t believe it! God had answered my prayer! But it didn’t end there. That day, God continued working things out in such a way that I was able to finish many of the assignments I was worrying about. As I look back at my experience in high school, I see many times where God came through for me—even when I didn’t deserve it. Some of those were actually quite simple and unimportant, but they were all ways in which God showed me that He cared. Throughout the year, God kept reminding me that when I continue to put Him first, no matter what, He will take care of everything else. All we have to do is ask, seek, and give it to Him.

*Keep Doing Good - Never Give Up. There's An Harvest For Those Who Finish Strong* Do you remember the last time you were completely exhausted? Maybe you spent your entire day or week working on a hard project. Maybe you felt depleted after helping other people in your life. Or maybe hard situations and setbacks made you feel like giving up. All of us grow tired at some point. Paul, the writer of Galatians, knew that the people he was writing to would also become weary of the work they were doing. During Paul’s time, there was a lot of persecution and hurting people, and Paul was writing to encourage them in the work they were doing. *"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9* Inside Paul’s encouragement to the Galatians is this truth: Even good people will tire of doing good things. That’s why Paul encourages everyone to continue to push forward in doing good. We should continue to help people. We should continue to share the hope of Jesus with people. We should continue to try and live as God would want us to. God knows that we’ll eventually grow weary. And when we grow tired and frustrated, we’ll probably begin to question why we’re doing any of this to begin with. (Maybe you’ve already asked yourself this.) But *Galatians 6:9* encourages us to persevere in doing good things. Similar to how a farmer must work diligently to plant his crops and wait months before the actual harvest, Paul says there will be a harvest for those who do not give up.  Just like the Christians in Galatia, we also need to persevere in living godly lives and helping those around us. If we do not give up, Scripture says there will be a reward for us. We may receive that reward during our time on earth, or in heaven—but regardless of when we receive it, we should persevere in doing good. That means that our work matters. There is value to how we live and love others. So let's spend some time today considering the good that we have done and can continue to do for others. Who can we help? Who can we share the hope of Jesus with? How can we continue to persevere in living a godly life? If we’ve grown weary or defeated, let's make a commitment today to never give up. Choose to persevere through whatever season of life we’re in, knowing that there will be a harvest for those who finish well. *Prayer For Endurance* Father God, help us to never get tired of doing good things in Your Name. As we grow closer to You, give us the endurance to serve and love others well—no matter how we are feeling. We want our lives to bring those around us closer to You. Thank You for never giving up on us! Amen.
