• Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17

Praise be to God that I am in Jesus Christ and a new creation. The Father does not see me for the past but for the victorious work of Christ.

  • THE JOURNEY OF FAITH
FAITHFUL — Living the Call One Day at a Time
    October 16, 2026 — A Faithful Steward
    1 Corinthians 4:1–5
“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” — 1 Corinthians 4:2 (KJV)
Paul had a problem in Corinth.
The believers were comparing their spiritual leaders.
    Some preferred Paul.
    Others preferred Apollos.
Still others identified themselves with Peter.
Instead of appreciating the work God was doing through different servants, they were beginning to treat their leaders as though they were competing for admiration.
Paul responds by changing the entire picture.
    He says:
“Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.”
    Servants.
    Stewards.
    Not celebrities.
    Not owners.
Not people whose importance should be measured by the size of their following.
    Stewards.
    That's an interesting word.
A steward is someone entrusted with something that belongs to another.
In the ancient world, a household steward might manage property, supplies, finances, workers, and daily responsibilities.
    He could have considerable authority.
But there was one important fact he could never forget.
The household did not belong to him.
He was responsible for managing what his master had entrusted to him.
And that is how Paul describes his own ministry.
The message he preached wasn't his invention.
The people he served weren't his possessions.
The responsibility he carried had been given to him by Christ.
His task wasn't to make himself important.
His task was to be faithful.
That brings us back to Joseph.
Just a few days ago, we saw Joseph managing Potiphar's household.
Everything was placed under his care.
But it still belonged to Potiphar.
Joseph's responsibility was to manage it faithfully.
Now Paul takes that familiar picture and applies it to the Christian life.
What has God entrusted to me?
    Perhaps it is a responsibility.
    A gift.
    An opportunity.
    A relationship.
    A message to share.
    A person to encourage.
Whatever it is, the question isn't simply whether I can make something impressive out of it.
The question is whether I am handling it faithfully.
Then Paul says something that might surprise us.
“But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment.”
Paul isn't saying that other people's opinions are always worthless.
He isn't claiming that he is beyond correction.
In fact, his letters show that he takes accountability seriously.
But he refuses to make human approval the ultimate standard by which he measures his service to Christ.
    That is an important distinction.
    We all appreciate encouragement.
We like knowing that our efforts matter.
We enjoy hearing that something we've done has helped someone else.
And there is nothing wrong with that.
But what happens when the encouragement doesn't come?
    When our work goes unnoticed?
When someone criticizes something we have done with sincere intentions?
    When people misunderstand our motives?
If our faithfulness depends entirely upon approval, we may find ourselves constantly adjusting our lives to satisfy whoever happens to be watching.
    Paul offers another way.
    Remember whose steward you are.
And then he takes the idea even further.
“Yea, I judge not mine own self.”
    That's remarkable.
Paul doesn't merely refuse to let other people deliver the final verdict.
He refuses to deliver it himself.
    He continues:
“For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.”
Paul is saying that even though his conscience is clear, that alone doesn't prove he has done everything correctly.
    A clear conscience is valuable.
But it isn't the same as perfect understanding.
We can sincerely believe we have done the right thing and still overlook something.
We can misunderstand our own motives.
We can fail to recognize our own weaknesses.
Paul understands that the Lord sees more than anyone else does.
    Including Paul himself.
    That should produce humility.
    Not fear.
    Not endless self-condemnation.
    Humility.
Because the final assessment belongs to the One who knows the whole story.
    Then Paul says:
“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come.”
In context, he is warning the Corinthians against passing premature judgments about the true worth and motives of God's servants.
He isn't telling them never to distinguish right from wrong.
He is reminding them that some things are hidden from human view.
And he explains what the Lord will reveal:
“The hidden things of darkness” and “the counsels of the hearts.”
    The intentions.
    The motives.
The reasons behind what we do.
Those things are not always visible to others.
Sometimes they aren't even entirely clear to us.
And then comes a beautiful promise:
“And then shall every man have praise of God.”
    Imagine that.
After all the human opinions have faded...
After all the comparisons have ended...
After all the applause—or criticism—has become irrelevant...
What matters is the Lord's assessment.
And Paul's emphasis throughout the passage has been remarkably consistent.
Be faithful with what has been entrusted to you.
Not with what someone else has been given.
Not with what you wish you had.
Not with what might make you appear more important.
With what God has placed in your care.
    That connects beautifully with Ruth.
Yesterday Ruth wasn't trying to impress the entire village of Bethlehem.
She was gathering grain for Naomi.
    Boaz noticed.
But even if he hadn't, Ruth's loyalty and diligence would still have mattered.
Her faithfulness didn't begin when someone recognized it.
    It was already there.
And perhaps that is the question for us today.
Would I still do this if no one noticed?
    Would I still be honest?
    Would I still be generous?
    Would I still serve?
Would I still keep my promises?
Would I still use the gifts God has given me?
    Not because anyone was watching.
    Not because anyone was applauding.
But because I am a steward.
And the things entrusted to me matter to the One who entrusted them.
    There is freedom in that.
We don't have to spend our lives comparing our assignments with everyone else's.
We don't have to turn every responsibility into a competition.
We don't have to prove that our work is more important than another person's work.
We simply have to be faithful.
And leave the final evaluation to God.
Perhaps the most encouraging thing about today's passage is that Paul doesn't say:
“It is required in stewards that a man be found successful.”
    He says:
    “Faithful.”
Success may be difficult to measure.
    Recognition may never come.
Results may take longer than we expected.
But faithfulness is something we can pursue today.
With the work in front of us.
    With the people around us.
With the opportunities we've been given.
And perhaps, at the end of it all, the greatest reward will not be hearing what the world thought of our work.
It will be knowing that we served the One who entrusted it to us.
    Prayer
Father, thank You for everything You have entrusted to my care. Remind me that my time, abilities, opportunities, and responsibilities ultimately belong to You. Keep me from measuring my worth by comparison, recognition, or the approval of others. Give me the humility to recognize that even my own judgment is limited, and help me welcome correction when I need it. Teach me to serve faithfully whether my work is noticed or unseen. Purify my motives, guide my decisions, and help me remember whose steward I am. May I seek above all to be found faithful in Your sight. Amen.

    FRIDAY OCTOBER 16, 2026

YOU CANNOT ENTER A NEW SEASON WITH AN OLD IDENTITY
    Primary Scriptures: Isaiah 43:18–19 | 2 Corinthians 5:17 | Ephesians 4:22–24

    OPENING THOUGHT
You are standing at the border of your breakthrough holding an expired passport. God has already stamped your new papers, sealed them with the blood of Jesus, and handed them to your spirit. But every time heaven calls your new name, you flinch because you are still used to answering to the old one. You cannot cross into a land of promise while dragging the luggage of your past. The gate is open. The angel is waiting. But you are arguing with the guard about whether you deserve to walk through. Stop it. Your worthiness was settled at Calvary. The only thing keeping you outside the new season is the old version of you that refuses to let go of the wheel. Drop the old name. The new country does not recognize it.

    MAIN EXPOSITION
I did not come to comfort your feelings today. I came to confront your future. And your future is being held hostage by a ghost — the ghost of who you used to be.

Isaiah 43:18–19 says, "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." God is building a highway where there was no road. He is pushing rivers through dry sand. The miracle is already under construction. But you are still walking the old dirt path behind you, looking over your shoulder at the wreckage God already told you to leave behind. You cannot travel two roads at once. The new road goes forward. The old road goes in circles. Every time you replay the memory of what was done to you, what you did to yourself, or what people said about you, you are turning around on the highway and driving straight back into the desert. God said, "Do not remember." That is not a suggestion. That is a survival command. Remembering the old season is the fastest way to miss the new one.

Now look at 2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Think about a seed. When you plant a seed in the ground, it must crack open completely before it can become a tree. If the seed holds on to its shell because the shell feels safe, it will rot in the dirt and never produce fruit. The cracking is painful. The breaking feels like death. But the breaking is not the end — it is the beginning. Many of you are praying for fruit while refusing to crack. You want the shade of the tree but you are clinging to the shell of the seed. The old you is the shell. It protected you once. It helped you survive the storm. But the storm is over, and the shell is now suffocating the tree God planted inside you. Let it break. Let it fall off. The new creation cannot breathe inside the old container.

Ephesians 4:22–24 makes it a battlefield order: "Put off concerning your former conduct the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness." Paul is speaking to soldiers. He is saying you cannot wear the enemy's uniform into the camp of the living God. The old man is not your friend. The old man is a spy. He whispers lies that sound like your own voice. He tells you that you will fail again because you failed before. He tells you that you are not qualified because of your history. He tells you that God could never use someone with your background. That is not your voice. That is the old identity wearing your face. Strip it off. Right now. The new man is not a better version of the old man. The new man is a completely different person born from the breath of God. Stop trying to fix the old you. The old you is not broken — it is dead. You do not repair a corpse. You bury it and walk away.

The new season is not a calendar change. It is an identity change. January will not fix you. A new job will not fix you. A new relationship will not fix you. A new city will not fix you. Only a new identity in Christ Jesus will fix you. When you know who you are, the season will find you. When you know whose you are, the door will open itself. Stop begging the old season to come back and stop begging the new season to hurry up. Fix your identity, and the season will bow to the name you carry.

    SUPPORTING SCRIPTURES
Romans 6:4 — "Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

1 Peter 2:9 — "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."

Isaiah 61:3 — "To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness."

Psalm 40:3 — "He has put a new song in my mouth — praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord."

2 Timothy 1:7 — "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Joshua 1:9 — "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

    MEMORY VERSE
"Put off the old man which grows corrupt, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness." — Ephesians 4:22–24

SCRIPTURAL QUOTABLE QUOTES TO MOVE YOUR HEART TO CHRIST
"The seed that refuses to break will never become the tree God designed it to be."

"You are not who your worst day said you were. You are who the blood of Jesus says you are."

"God did not call you out of Egypt to let you keep thinking like a slave."

"The new season will not recognize the old you — so stop introducing yourself to your future with your past."

"Your identity is not built on what happened to you. It is built on what happened for you at the cross."

PROPHETIC PRAYER OF TOTAL IDENTITY SHIFT
Father, in the thunderous, earth-shaking, heaven-splitting name of Jesus Christ, I stand in the gap right now as a prophetic voice over every soul reading these words.

I command every expired identity, every dead label, every rotten name tag that the world pinned on my reader — I tear you off by the authority of the blood of Jesus! You have no legal right to speak over this child of God any longer. Your contract was cancelled at Calvary. Your voice was silenced at the empty tomb. Be quiet and be gone!

I decree that the shell is cracking right now. The old self is falling away like dry skin. The new creation is rising from the inside out with a roar that shakes the gates of hell. I prophesy that the mind of my reader is being rewired at this very moment — every lie is being replaced with truth, every fear is being replaced with boldness, every memory of shame is being washed clean by the river of God's mercy.

I declare that the new season is not coming — it is HERE. The highway is built. The river is flowing. The border is open. My reader is walking through right now with a new name, a new walk, a new voice, and a new authority that makes demons tremble and angels rejoice.

What God has called you, no man can uncalled. What God has named you, no devil can rename. You are NEW. You are FREE. You are HIS. And the old you will never sit on the throne of your life again! In Jesus Christ mighty name AMEN AND AMEN!

What preserved Abraham even when he made mistakes? His altar! Genesis 12:7-8 says everywhere Abraham went, he built an altar. That altar spoke for him. Genesis 19:27 shows Abraham understood one secret — success in life is not standing before men, it is standing before the Lord on the altar!

Men may fail you. Money may fail you. Systems may fail you. Friends may forget you. But hear me, your altar will NEVER fail you! Psalm 91:1 says *_"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."_* Your secret place is your safety!

1 Kings 18:30 — Elijah repaired the altar before he prayed for fire. Many are praying for fire without repairing their altar. Luke 18:1 — Men ought always to pray and not to faint. Your future is hidden in your prayer. If you lose your prayer life, you have lost your future!

This Friday, stop complaining about what is not working, start praying about what you want to see working. The hour you give to prayer is never wasted — it is the hour that will speak for you when men forget you!

    THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

STUDY 3 — THE TRUE LIGHT

    TODAY'S SCRIPTURE — JOHN 1:7–9 KJV

    VERSE 7

“The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.”

    VERSE 8

“He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.”

    VERSE 9

“That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”

    UNDERSTANDING THE WORD

VERSE 7 — A WITNESS TO JESUS CHRIST

John the Baptist was sent by God with a specific mission.

His purpose was to testify about Jesus Christ so that people might believe in Him.

John was not drawing attention to himself. He was preparing people to recognise the Saviour.

His message pointed beyond himself to Jesus.

VERSE 8 — JOHN WAS NOT THE LIGHT

    Scripture makes an important distinction.

John the Baptist was a messenger, not the Messiah.

He could tell people about the Light, but he was not the source of that Light.

Only Jesus Christ is the true Light.

This reminds us that faithful Christian teaching must always point people toward Christ rather than the messenger.

VERSE 9 — THE TRUE LIGHT COMES INTO THE WORLD

Jesus Christ is described as the true Light.

He reveals God's truth to humanity and exposes the darkness of sin.

His coming into the world brings light to mankind.

This does not mean that every person is automatically saved. John goes on to explain that some reject Christ while others receive Him through faith.

    THE GOSPEL

John's message was simple: people needed to believe in Jesus Christ.

Jesus came into a world darkened by sin to reveal the Father and bring salvation.

    Later, Jesus declares:

“I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
    — John 8:12 KJV

Eternal life is found in Jesus Christ, not in our own goodness or religious achievements.

    APPLYING GOD'S WORD

Like John the Baptist, we are called to point others toward Jesus.

Our purpose is not to draw attention to ourselves but to help others discover the truth of God's Word.

Let your words, actions and testimony direct people toward Christ.

    PRAYER

    Heavenly Father,

Thank You for sending Jesus Christ, the true Light of the world.

Help us understand Your Word and believe in Your Son.

Teach us to live according to Your truth and point others toward Jesus.

    In Jesus' name, Amen.

    REFLECTION

John the Baptist devoted his mission to pointing people toward Jesus.

Does the way you live and speak help others see Christ?

  • *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - FRIDAY, 16TH OCTOBER, 2026.*

_REMEMBER ETERNITY — LIVE WITH COMPASSION TODAY!_

    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: LUKE 16:24 (KJV)

“And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”

*REFLECTION: DO NOT IGNORE THE NEEDS OF OTHERS*

In Luke 16:19–31, Jesus tells the story of a rich man who lived in luxury while a poor man named Lazarus lay at his gate, covered with sores and longing for the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table.

The rich man had abundance, but Lazarus lived in painful poverty. Every day, the suffering of Lazarus was close enough for the rich man to notice, yet the story records no act of compassion from him.

Eventually, both men died. Lazarus was carried by the angels to Abraham's side, while the rich man found himself in torment. In his anguish, he pleaded for a drop of water to cool his tongue.

    What a painful reversal!

The man who once enjoyed abundance now longed for the smallest comfort. The poor man who had suffered on earth was now comforted.

Beloved, Jesus used this story to confront our attitudes towards wealth, suffering, compassion, and eternity.

The rich man's problem was not simply that he possessed wealth. Scripture does not teach that every wealthy person is condemned or that poverty automatically guarantees eternal life. Rather, this parable warns us against a life of selfishness, spiritual blindness, and indifference to the suffering of others.

The rich man had an opportunity to show compassion, but he failed to respond to the need at his gate.

Sometimes, the person God wants you to help is closer to you than you realise.

There may be someone around you who needs encouragement, a hungry person who needs food, a struggling family that needs support, a discouraged young person who needs guidance, or a lonely individual who needs someone willing to listen.

You may not be able to solve every problem, but you can refuse to become indifferent.

As we continue our October journey under the theme “My Month of Joy from Divine Helper,” let us remember that God's blessings should inspire gratitude, generosity, and compassion.

The divine help we pray to receive should also shape our willingness to become instruments of help to others.

DO NOT PRAY ONLY TO RECEIVE HELP; ASK GOD TO MAKE YOU A CHANNEL OF HELP TO SOMEONE ELSE!

THREE POWERFUL LESSONS FROM LUKE 16:24

EARTHLY POSSESSIONS ARE TEMPORARY, BUT ETERNITY IS REAL

The rich man enjoyed earthly comfort, but death brought his earthly experience to an end.

His story reminds us that money, position, influence, property, and material possessions cannot replace a genuine relationship with God.

There is nothing wrong with working hard, building a business, providing for your family, or pursuing legitimate financial progress. The danger arises when material success becomes more important than God, righteousness, and the well-being of others.

    Mark 8:36 (KJV):

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

Beloved, pursue success, but do not sacrifice your soul on the altar of worldly ambition.

Build your career, but build your character too.

Gather possessions, but gather heavenly treasures through faith, obedience, love, and service.

LET YOUR LIFE BE PREPARED FOR ETERNITY, NOT JUST FOR EARTHLY SUCCESS!

NEVER BECOME BLIND TO THE SUFFERING OF OTHERS

Lazarus was at the rich man's gate. His suffering was near, visible, and real.

Yet the rich man's lifestyle remained unchanged.

This is a warning against becoming so occupied with our own comfort that we overlook the pain of those around us.

    Proverbs 19:17 (KJV):

“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.”

God values compassion towards the needy.

You may not have enough money to support everyone, but you can share what you have, offer practical assistance, provide encouragement, connect someone to a genuine opportunity, or pray with a person who is struggling.

Compassion is not limited to financial giving. Sometimes, it means offering your time, listening without condemnation, or helping someone find a responsible solution to a difficult situation.

Do not allow the pursuit of your own breakthrough to make you insensitive to another person's pain.

MAY GOD GIVE YOU EYES THAT SEE NEEDS, A HEART THAT FEELS COMPASSION, AND HANDS THAT ARE WILLING TO HELP!

RESPOND TO GOD'S WORD WHILE YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY

In the parable, the rich man's circumstances could no longer be changed by the request he made after death.

Jesus' message calls us to take God's Word seriously now.

We must not postpone repentance, obedience, forgiveness, generosity, or the work God has placed before us.

    Galatians 6:10 (KJV):

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”

Do good while you have the opportunity.

    Forgive when forgiveness is appropriate.

    Repent when God corrects you.

Make peace where it is possible and safe.

Help someone when you have the ability and opportunity to do so.

Above all, put your faith in Jesus Christ and live in the light of His Word.

Do not wait until tomorrow to practise the obedience God is calling you to today.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO DO GOOD IS A RESPONSIBILITY; USE IT WISELY!

    TODAY'S PERSONAL EXAMINATION

Beloved, take a moment to examine your heart before God.

    Ask yourself:

    1. Have I made material success more important than my relationship with God?
    2. Have I ignored someone whose suffering I could have helped to ease?
    3. Do I use the resources God has given me with wisdom and compassion?
    4. Am I living with eternity in view?
    5. Have I postponed an act of kindness, reconciliation, or obedience?
    6. Does my faith influence how I treat people who cannot repay me?

Remember, this examination is not intended to condemn you. It is an invitation to growth, repentance, and a deeper walk with Christ.

God's grace enables us to recognise our shortcomings and respond with faith and obedience.

Today, ask the Lord to show you one practical way to express His love to someone.

    *PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:*

As I put my faith in Jesus Christ and commit myself to living according to God's Word, I declare:

    1. MY HEART SHALL REMAIN FOCUSED ON ETERNITY!

The Lord shall grant me wisdom to make decisions that honour Him.

I shall pursue my earthly responsibilities faithfully while keeping my eternal hope in Christ.

MY LIFE SHALL REFLECT FAITH, HOLINESS, AND OBEDIENCE TO GOD!

    2. I RECEIVE GRACE TO SHOW COMPASSION!

Father, deliver me from selfishness, pride, and indifference to the suffering of others.

Give me a heart that is moved by genuine needs and a spirit that is willing to help within my ability.

May I never become so occupied with my own challenges that I forget the people around me.

Where I have resources, teach me to share wisely.

Where I have knowledge, help me to guide others responsibly.

Where I have influence, help me to use it for good.

Where I have experienced Your comfort, make me an encouragement to those who are hurting.

    3. I SHALL NOT MISS GOD-GIVEN OPPORTUNITIES!

Lord, grant me discernment to recognise opportunities to do good.

‍‍‍ 4. MY FAMILY SHALL GROW IN LOVE AND COMPASSION!

May the Lord fill my household with love, peace, wisdom, and understanding.

Lord, make me a faithful witness of Your Gospel.

Help me to preach Your Word with truth, humility, and compassion.

May my ministry reach the discouraged, strengthen the weak, encourage the struggling, and guide people towards Jesus Christ.

Deliver me from hypocrisy and teach me to practise the message I proclaim.

May my service be motivated by love for You and genuine concern for people.

LORD, MAKE MY LIFE AN INSTRUMENT OF YOUR GRACE AND A TESTIMONY TO YOUR GOODNESS!

    6. THE LORD SHALL GRANT ME WISDOM IN MY WORK AND FINANCES!

Father, guide me in my business, studies, career, and financial decisions.

Teach me to pursue legitimate opportunities with diligence and integrity.

Help me to manage my resources wisely, provide responsibly for my family, and prepare prudently for the future.

Deliver me from greed, dishonesty, wastefulness, and the temptation to measure my worth by material possessions.

May my work be fruitful, my decisions honour You, and my success enable me to contribute positively to the lives of others.

I SHALL PURSUE PROGRESS WITH INTEGRITY AND HANDLE MY BLESSINGS WITH WISDOM!

    7. OCTOBER SHALL REMAIN MY MONTH OF JOY FROM DIVINE HELPER!

In this month of joy from divine helper, may the Lord strengthen me in times of weakness, guide me in times of uncertainty, and comfort me in times of sorrow.

May He give me wisdom to recognise His guidance and humility to receive help when I need it.

May I experience the joy that comes from knowing Christ, trusting His promises, and walking in obedience to His Word.

May my life become a source of encouragement and practical support to others.

LORD, HELP ME TO LIVE WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW, LOVE PEOPLE SINCERELY, AND WALK FAITHFULLY WITH YOU!

    In Jesus' mighty name. AMEN!

    *ACTION STEPS FOR TODAY:*

PRAY FOR A COMPASSIONATE HEART: Ask God to help you recognise the needs of others.

STUDY LUKE 16:19–31: Reflect on the rich man, Lazarus, and Jesus' warning about earthly priorities and eternity.

HELP SOMEONE PRACTICALLY: Offer food, encouragement, assistance, or another appropriate form of support to someone in need.

REPAIR A RELATIONSHIP: Where appropriate and safe, take a step towards peace, forgiveness, or reconciliation.

REVIEW YOUR FINANCES: Consider how you can manage your resources wisely while making room for responsible generosity.

‍‍‍ TEACH COMPASSION AT HOME: Encourage your family to treat others with kindness and dignity.

SERVE WITH LOVE: Look for a practical way to encourage someone in your church or community.

EXAMINE YOUR PRIORITIES: Identify anything that is taking too much attention away from your relationship with God.

DO GOOD WITHOUT EXPECTING A REWARD: Perform an act of kindness simply because it is right.

    MAKE THIS DECLARATION:

“BY GOD'S GRACE, I SHALL LIVE WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW, WALK IN THE LOVE OF CHRIST, AND USE MY TIME, TALENTS, AND RESOURCES WISELY. I SHALL NOT IGNORE THE NEEDS OF OTHERS WHEN I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO HELP. MY LIFE SHALL GLORIFY GOD!”

    *PRAYER FOR TODAY:*

    Heavenly Father,

I thank You for the gift of life and the privilege of seeing another beautiful day.

Thank You for Your Word, which teaches me to examine my priorities, remember eternity, and demonstrate compassion towards others.

Father, as I meditate on Luke 16:24, give me a heart that understands the seriousness of living without regard for Your will.

Forgive me for the times I have been selfish, proud, insensitive, or too occupied with my own affairs to recognise the suffering of others.

Forgive me whenever I have placed material possessions, worldly ambition, or temporary pleasures above my relationship with You.

Lord Jesus, strengthen my faith and help me to live according to Your Word.

FATHER, GIVE ME A HEART THAT VALUES WHAT YOU VALUE!

Teach me to love righteousness, pursue holiness, and show compassion to those who are struggling.

Open my eyes to the needs around me. Help me to recognise opportunities to offer encouragement, practical assistance, wise counsel, and genuine friendship.

Where I have the ability to help, grant me the willingness to act responsibly.

Where I lack the resources to meet a need, show me how to offer support within my capacity or connect the person with appropriate assistance.

Deliver me from the desire to impress people with outward appearances while neglecting the matters of the heart.

Father, help me to remember that every human being deserves to be treated with dignity and compassion.

    ‍‍‍ LORD, REMEMBER MY FAMILY!

I commit my spouse, children, and household into Your loving hands.

Protect us, guide us, and provide for our needs according to Your wisdom.

Teach us to live peacefully, forgive one another, and support those who are facing difficulties.

Give us wisdom to manage our finances, discipline to fulfil our responsibilities, and generosity to share with others when we are able.

May our home be filled with love, understanding, godly wisdom, and respect.

Help us to raise our children in the knowledge of Your Word and teach them to value character above possessions.

May our family become a blessing to our community and a testimony of Your goodness.

LORD, STRENGTHEN YOUR CHURCH AND MY MINISTRY!

Father, strengthen Your Church and empower Your ministers to proclaim the Gospel faithfully.

Give us hearts that care for the poor, the vulnerable, the discouraged, and those who feel forgotten.

Deliver Your servants from the temptation to pursue outward success while neglecting genuine Christian character.

Help me to minister with humility, integrity, wisdom, and compassion.

Give me grace to preach the truth in love and to encourage people to put their faith in Jesus Christ.

May our churches become places where the Gospel is proclaimed, disciples are nurtured, and people receive appropriate spiritual and practical support.

Lord, help me to be a faithful steward of the ministry You have entrusted to me.

FATHER, BLESS MY WORK AND ENDEAVOURS!

Lord, bless the work of my hands and guide my decisions in business, studies, career, and ministry.

Grant me wisdom to recognise genuine opportunities, diligence to fulfil my responsibilities, and integrity to conduct my affairs honestly.

Teach me to avoid greed and make sound financial decisions.

Help me to provide for my family, plan responsibly for the future, and use my resources to accomplish good things.

When I experience financial challenges, grant me courage, patience, and wisdom to seek appropriate solutions.

May my work be fruitful, my character remain upright, and my success become an opportunity to serve You and others.

FATHER, PREPARE MY HEART FOR ETERNITY!

Lord, remind me daily that my life on earth is temporary and that my greatest hope is found in Jesus Christ.

Help me not to postpone repentance, obedience, forgiveness, or acts of kindness.

Give me grace to live faithfully today and to entrust my future into Your hands.

When I become distracted by worldly concerns, redirect my heart towards Your truth.

When I am tempted to become indifferent to another person's suffering, remind me of the compassion You have shown me.

When I have an opportunity to do good, help me to respond with wisdom and love.

Father, let the joy of Your salvation remain in my heart throughout this month and beyond.

May Your divine help sustain me, Your wisdom direct me, and Your grace transform me into a person who reflects the character of Jesus Christ.

I surrender my life, family, ministry, work, resources, and future into Your hands.

    *FINAL WORD:*
Beloved, the story of the rich man and Lazarus reminds us that life is more than the possessions we accumulate or the comfort we enjoy.

Our time on earth is an opportunity to know God, trust in Jesus Christ, obey His Word, and demonstrate genuine love towards others.

Do not become so occupied with pursuing success that you forget the people around you.

Do not allow material comfort to make you insensitive to suffering.

Do not postpone the good you can do today.

Remember that salvation is God's gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not something we earn through charitable acts. Yet genuine faith should produce love, compassion, and obedience.

    Matthew 6:20 (KJV):

“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.”

Therefore, work diligently, manage your resources wisely, love your family, serve God faithfully, and show kindness to those in need.

You may not be able to help everyone, but you can make a difference in someone's life today.

Good morning, beloved, and have a blessed weekend Friday!

May the Lord go before you today, guide your decisions, strengthen your faith, and fill your heart with compassion.

    SHALOM! SHALOM!! SHALOM!!!

*TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - FRIDAY, 16TH OCTOBER, 2026.* _REMEMBER ETERNITY — LIVE WITH COMPASSION TODAY!_ 📖 ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: LUKE 16:24 (KJV) “And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” ✝️*REFLECTION: DO NOT IGNORE THE NEEDS OF OTHERS* In Luke 16:19–31, Jesus tells the story of a rich man who lived in luxury while a poor man named Lazarus lay at his gate, covered with sores and longing for the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table. 🔥 DO NOT PRAY ONLY TO RECEIVE HELP; ASK GOD TO MAKE YOU A CHANNEL OF HELP TO SOMEONE ELSE! 📖 THREE POWERFUL LESSONS FROM LUKE 16:24 1️⃣ EARTHLY POSSESSIONS ARE TEMPORARY, BUT ETERNITY IS REAL The rich man enjoyed earthly comfort, but death brought his earthly experience to an end. 📖 Mark 8:36 (KJV): “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Beloved, pursue success, but do not sacrifice your soul on the altar of worldly ambition. Build your career, but build your character too. Gather possessions, but gather heavenly treasures through faith, obedience, love, and service. 🔥 LET YOUR LIFE BE PREPARED FOR ETERNITY, NOT JUST FOR EARTHLY SUCCESS! 2️⃣ NEVER BECOME BLIND TO THE SUFFERING OF OTHERS Lazarus was at the rich man's gate. His suffering was near, visible, and real. Yet the rich man's lifestyle remained unchanged. This is a warning against becoming so occupied with our own comfort that we overlook the pain of those around us. 📖 Proverbs 19:17 (KJV): “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” God values compassion towards the needy. 🔥 MAY GOD GIVE YOU EYES THAT SEE NEEDS, A HEART THAT FEELS COMPASSION, AND HANDS THAT ARE WILLING TO HELP! 3️⃣ RESPOND TO GOD'S WORD WHILE YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY In the parable, the rich man's circumstances could no longer be changed by the request he made after death. Jesus' message calls us to take God's Word seriously now. We must not postpone repentance, obedience, forgiveness, generosity, or the work God has placed before us. 📖 Galatians 6:10 (KJV): “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” Do good while you have the opportunity. 🔥 YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO DO GOOD IS A RESPONSIBILITY; USE IT WISELY! 🪞 TODAY'S PERSONAL EXAMINATION Beloved, take a moment to examine your heart before God. Ask yourself: 1. 🔥*PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:* As I put my faith in Jesus Christ and commit myself to living according to God's Word, I declare: 🙏 1. MY HEART SHALL REMAIN FOCUSED ON ETERNITY! By God's grace, I shall not allow worldly possessions, temporary pleasures, or the pursuit of success to take the place of my relationship with Him. Deliver me from greed, dishonesty, wastefulness, and the temptation to measure my worth by material possessions. May my work be fruitful, my decisions honour You, and my success enable me to contribute positively to the lives of others. 🔥 I SHALL PURSUE PROGRESS WITH INTEGRITY AND HANDLE MY BLESSINGS WITH WISDOM! 🌟 7. • TRUE BREAD OF HEAVEN

YOU ARE FORGIVEN: WALK IN FREEDOM

    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 8:1 (NKJV)

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus…”

One of the gifts we receive when we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ is the forgiveness of our sins. Through Him, we receive complete forgiveness, not partial forgiveness. As the Bible records, when we are in Christ, we become new creations; our old life has passed away (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Child of God, God is not like human beings who may keep records of past wrongs and bring them up again when offended. When God forgives, He calls us to walk in the freedom of His forgiveness rather than remain imprisoned by guilt and condemnation. In Christ, you have a new identity, and your past no longer defines you.

Therefore, stop allowing forgiven sins to keep you bound by guilt. Receive God's forgiveness, embrace your new identity in Christ, and walk in the freedom His grace provides. You are not called to live in the condemnation of your past but in the freedom of your new life in Christ.

    PRAYER

Thank You, Father, for the gift of forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Help me to walk in the understanding of Your forgiveness and experience freedom from the guilt of my past. Teach me to embrace my new identity as Your child and live in the freedom of Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you, and have a blessed Friday and a wonderful weekend ahead!

    God bless you.

  • Daily devotion for October 16th
    Where Needs Are Met
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.

    Psalm 23:2-3a
In this psalm David enumerates the ways in which the Good Shepherd meets our needs. The first thing He does is to meet the needs of the inner person, the basic needs that we have for nourishment within. The basic needs of a flock of sheep are grass and water. Here is the very picturesque scene of sheep bedded down in grassy meadows, having eaten their fill and now totally satisfied, and then being led by still waters. Sheep are afraid of running water; they will drink only from a quiet pool. A good shepherd, particularly in a semi-arid region such as Palestine, knows where the watering holes are. He knows where the grassy meadows are. And so he leads the sheep into places where they can rest and feed and where they can drink. The picture is one of calm and tranquility, because the basic needs of the sheep are met.

The counterpart in our lives is obvious. It is God who restores the inner person through His Word. As we feed upon the Word of God we see the Lord Jesus there. We draw upon Him, and our inner person is satisfied. The Word of God brings us, first, to the person of Christ. Beyond the sacred page, the hymn says, we see thee, Lord. We see Him, and we eat and drink of Him, and we discover Him to be the resource that we need. As Paul says, Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16). Our souls are restored. How? As we feed upon Him. As we come to know Him, believe what He says, and act on His word, we discover that the inner person is fed.

In times of deep, dire need, when we cast about for help, it is no farther away than God's Word. Everything we need to nourish the inner person is right there. As Peter says, His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Everything we need that relates to life and to living godly lives in the world is available in Him. I wonder if we are employing that resource.

Lord, thank You for Your Word. May it be to me like green pastures and still waters, leaving me fully satisfied in You.
