    DATE: TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST 2026

    TOPIC: GOD’S COVENANT OF PROMOTION

    MEMORIZE:
"But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil." Psalm 92:10 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: PSALM 75:6-7
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

    MESSAGE:
The devil often uses the promise of promotion to lure people into making covenants with him. For example, I have heard of cases where those in authority would ask someone due for a promotion at work to enter into an evil covenant by joining a secret cult before the promotion is granted.

Beloved, if you ever find yourself in such an ordeal, I urge you never to enter into such covenants.

Today’s Bible reading tells us that promotion comes from God. When He says yes, nobody can say no. When God decides to promote you, it doesn’t matter what anybody may try because you will reach the position that He intends. He controls the heart of kings; therefore, if anyone in authority threatens you, saying, “You will not be promoted unless you join us,” take your stand as a child of God, and never give in. Just hold on to God, and in the end, you will emerge victorious.

Sometime ago, one of my spiritual sons came to me and said, “Daddy, I am tired of being in one spot for so long; I want to move forward. I have an interview tomorrow, please pray for me.” I replied,

“Let us pray,” and he said, “No! Just speak a word.”

Then I told him that the interview would be successful. He went for the interview and came back beaming with joy. He said, “Daddy, I prepared hard for the interview, but they only asked me three questions: What is your name? Which post did you apply for? When do you want to start?” | congratulated him, and he said, “Daddy, please speak another word.” I obliged and responded,

“Your promotion will be rapid.” The next day, He came back dancing for joy. He said, “When I resumed this morning, I was asked to go to the boardroom. The people who interviewed me the previous day were seated there, and they said, ‘Our Managing Director resigned yesterday. Are you ready to take on the post?’ I replied,

“Congratulations, that’s a rapid promotion.” He told me to speak another word, and I said that God would complete the good work He had started in him. The next day, he came back to me almost speechless as his salary had been doubled! Then he said I should speak another word, and I jokingly responded, “Do you want to collect the company from the owners?”

Beloved, I pray that my Father will surprise you with rapid promotions, in Jesus’ name.

    KEY POINT:
Nothing and no one can limit a man whom God has decided to promote.

HYMNAL 20 - I'M PRESSING ON THE UPWARD WAY
    1. I'm pressing on the upward way, New heights I'm gaining
everyday; Still praying as I onward bound "Lord, plant my feet on higher ground."

    CHORUS:
Lord, lift me up and let me stand, By faith, on Heaven's table-land; Where love, and joy, and light abound, Lord, plant my feet on higher
    ground.

    2. My heart has no desire to stay where doubts arise, and fears dismay; though some may dwell where these abound, My constant aim is higher ground.

    CHORUS:

    3. Beyond the mist I fain would rise, to rest beneath unclouded skies, above earth's turmoil peace is found By those who dwell on higher ground.

    CHORUS:

    4. I long to scale the utmost height, Though rough the way, and hard the fight, My song, while climbing, shall resound Lord, lead me on to higher ground.

    CHORUS:

    5. Lord, lead me up the mountain side I dare not climb without my Guide; And, heaven gained, I'll gaze around, With grateful heart from higher ground.

  • Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Today looks to be a potentially soggy day again. I checked the weather on my phone and it was a muddy puddle. This brings me to my funny story for you today.

Yesterday, my husband and I had a meeting with our VA lawyer in a new town. Because of all the storms and flooding issues, the crowd was much smaller. We actually got to ask a couple of questions when we sat down with him. We did not feel rushed. As good as that was, it was not the highlight of the trip. While waiting for our turn, we met some new friends. Two of which just happened to be authors. One of which just happens to run a podcast. Hmmm. Any thoughts on why we went to ‘this’ meeting with the lawyer and not the meeting place? I wonder if Someone knew who we were going to meet.

One of these two individuals’ spouses has memory issues. The other is applying for their survivor’s benefits with the lawyer’s help. I wonder Who designed this meeting?

Since I have been retired, I have been hyper-focused on making sure that I take care of my husband and keep his medical stuff straight and on track. I have been hyper-focused on keeping our lives as smooth as possible. So hyper-focused that when my littles from across the pond arrived, I was not the fun American grandma. I was grumpy grandma. That changed yesterday.

On our way home from the lawyer, I was thinking about all this rain, the flooding, and then I thought about the muddy puddles in my yard. I decided on the way home that we were going to play in the muddy puddles. God gave them to us, why not play in them? So, when I got home, I changed into shorts, kicked off my shoes, and challenged the grandkids to a splash fest. I do not know how long we played, but we all needed showers when it was over with … and that is after washing off with the garden hose. I even got the other grandma to play in the muddy puddle. We all were muddy puddle winners.

Too often, the enemy gets grown-ups to think they have to be adults all the time. When in fact, Jesus tells us that we are to come to Him as children. In all these storms, there have been ugly skies, so dancing in the rain has not been possible … however … splashing in the muddy puddles … well now, that is an awesome stress reliever.

Today is His day. Today we are going to his house to worship him, whether in a church or a prayer closet. Today we are going to thank Him for his blessings and for the trials. Today, we give God the glory and enter His presence as children. Will you join me on the heavenly playground of muddy puddles?

    Be blessed.

**And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 18:3-4

  • *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - SUNDAY, 16TH AUGUST, 2026.*

*PRAISE GOD FOR HIS MIGHTY ACTS.*

    *(11th Sunday after Trinity)*

    Scripture:
“Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.” — Psalm 150:1–2 (KJV).

*Reflection – Let Everything Within You Praise the Lord.*

Psalm 150 is a powerful call to wholehearted worship. The Psalmist does not merely tell us to praise God; he tells us why we should praise Him: because of His mighty acts and His excellent greatness.

Today, as we celebrate the 11th Sunday after Trinity, we are reminded that praise should not depend on our circumstances. God deserves our worship because of who He is and because of what He has done.

There are blessings we can see and others we may never know about. There are prayers God has already answered and others for which we are still waiting. Yet, through every season, God's greatness remains unchanged.

When we praise God, we acknowledge His sovereignty, celebrate His faithfulness, and declare our confidence in His power. Praise shifts our attention from the size of our problems to the greatness of our God.

    *Prophetic Declaration:*
Today, I declare that my life shall continually be an instrument of praise to Almighty God. I will praise Him in good times and difficult seasons, in abundance and in times of waiting, because He is always worthy of my worship.

I declare that I will not allow temporary challenges to silence my praise. My circumstances may change, but my God does not change. His faithfulness remains constant, His mercy endures forever, and His greatness is beyond measure.

Today, I praise God for His mighty acts in my life. I praise Him for the battles He has fought, the dangers He has prevented, the doors He has opened, the prayers He has answered, and the blessings He has given me.

I declare that every spirit of discouragement, heaviness, fear, and hopelessness shall lose its influence over me. The garment of praise shall replace every garment of heaviness, and joy shall rise within my heart.

I proclaim God's greatness over my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and destiny. The Lord shall continue to demonstrate His mighty power in every area of my life according to His perfect will.

I declare that where I see limitations, I shall remember God's greatness. Where I see impossibilities, I shall remember His mighty acts. Where I face uncertainty, I shall remember His faithfulness.

Today, I receive fresh grace to worship God wholeheartedly. My mouth shall testify of His goodness, my heart shall overflow with gratitude, and my life shall demonstrate His love.

I declare that the Lord shall put a new song in my mouth. He shall turn my mourning into dancing, my sorrow into joy, my trials into testimonies, and my waiting into opportunities to experience His faithfulness.

I proclaim that my testimony shall encourage others to trust in God. Through my words, worship, conduct, and service, people shall see evidence of God's goodness and be drawn closer to Him.

Today, I choose praise over complaint, faith over fear, gratitude over murmuring, and worship over worry.

I will praise the Lord for His mighty acts.
I will praise Him for His excellent greatness.
I will praise Him because He is good.
I will praise Him because He is faithful.
I will praise Him because He alone is worthy!

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

    *Action Steps for today:*
Begin with praise: Before making your requests this morning, spend time thanking God for who He is.

Read Psalm 150: Meditate on God's greatness and His mighty acts.

Declare: “I will praise the Lord for His mighty acts and according to His excellent greatness.”

Count your blessings: Mention at least five things for which you are grateful to God.

Turn your concern into praise: Whatever challenge you are facing, commit it to God and worship Him while trusting His power.

Be a source of encouragement: Share a testimony, Scripture, or encouraging message with someone today.

End with thanksgiving: Before going to bed, remember God's faithfulness throughout the day and give Him all the glory.

    *Prayer:*
    Almighty and Everlasting God,
I praise You because You are great, mighty, faithful, holy, and worthy of all praise. Thank You for Your countless blessings and for the mighty acts You have performed in my life.

Forgive me for every time I have allowed my circumstances to become greater in my eyes than Your greatness. Give me a heart that continually remembers Your goodness.

Put a new song in my mouth. Let praise rise from my heart even when I am waiting for answers. Turn every difficult season into a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Lord, manifest Your mighty power in my family, ministry, work, business, studies, and every area of my life. Establish the work of my hands and let everything concerning me bring glory to Your holy name.

Make my life a living testimony of Your excellent greatness. Let my worship encourage others, my testimony strengthen the weak, and my service advance Your Kingdom.

I will praise You, Lord, for Your mighty acts. I will praise You according to Your excellent greatness.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

    *Sunday Blessing:*
May the Lord fill your heart with an unquenchable spirit of praise today. May He give you countless reasons to rejoice and continually remind you of His mighty acts.

May every difficult situation become a testimony, every season of waiting produce deeper faith, and every blessing become a reason to give God glory.

May the Lord bless your family, strengthen your ministry, establish the work of your hands, guide your steps, and surround you with His favor.

May your mouth never lack a testimony and your heart never lack a reason to praise God.

Praise Him for His mighty acts!
Praise Him for His excellent greatness!
Praise Him for His unfailing love!
Praise Him because He alone is worthy!

Good morning beloved and Happy 11th Sunday after Trinity and 3rd Sunday in August!
May your Sunday be filled with worship, joy, divine encounters, thanksgiving, and glorious testimonies. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen!
    Shalom!

The land of Shinar was an offshoot of the formerly colossally congested nation of Babel, founded by the great hunter, Nimrod, who once gathered the entire people on earth to live as one tongue—united in purpose, in power, and in pursuit.

The direct descendants of Nimrod were the marauding nomadic Chaldean tribe, which had lost their existence as a known state after pulling out from the colonies under Babylonia, founded by their ancestor.

In the process of time, some of them got separated and settled on highlands in the wilderness, where they became magicians and astrologers, thus splitting the former united tribe into two.

Afterwards, the Assyrians got the Chaldaean magi tribe incorporated into their empire for the sake of their physical hardiness and crafty artfulness and assigned unto them the land of Shinar in their own country, Assyria, which was originally a former colony of Babylonia founded by Nimrod, whose capital city later became Nineveh, and they dwelt as a recognized state thenceforth.

In good season, when they had gained strength with sustained guidance, they rebelled against the Assyrian empire in the year 626 BC, and fourteen years later, they overtook Nineveh, subsequently assumed ascendancy, founded the Chaldaean empire, and began the restoration of the state of Shinar, in the furtherance of the "Babela vision."

In spite of the agelong formations of far and near nations, they forged ahead and broke through their ancient fortresses, all due to the leaders’ tenacity and fortitude divinely instilled into them to set the stage for future foreordained events.

In recent times, she had experienced significantly rapid growth in every sector. Many nations had been taken as captives by Shinar while others had become tributaries of this fastest-growing nation.

All thanks to her present leader, King Nebopolassar, who maintained the tempo of his predatory predecessors and sustained perfect pitch to the core, dancing to the beats of the rhythmic progression of the chords of the Babela vision, which was given by Nimrod and passed down to him through his forefathers.

He had given his talents, treasures, and time to the emancipation and expansion of the state of Shinar—he was a king of note, a man of battle, and a 'peace-lover.' He was now very advanced in age; most of his years had been spent on the battlefield conquering territories and nations to the glory of Shinar.

All the same, this would not have been possible without the leverage of his agile, astute, but austere son, Nebuchadnezzar.

The king had put the Chaldaean sage, Ashpenaz, who doubled as the officially designated wisest sage of Shinar and the most powerful palace official, in charge of the training of his son.

Nebuchadnezzar became a man at an early age; he was taught to shoot at seven and made his first kill at eight. By fifteen, he had come to the fore as a man of responsibility, courage, and tact. His character, ideologies, values, and virtues were formed on the field.

Ever since he became man enough, his father decided to commit the affairs of the national army, Shinar Armed Forces, into his hands. He was first given command over a small battalion and then made the commander over all the military generals of SAF, with the exception of General Nebuzaradan, the youngest among the generals and commander of the imperial guard, who was saddled with the responsibility of maintaining homeland security.

    Miriam- Prophet and Worship Leader

In Exodus 15 Miriam is identified as a prophet. Why? She spoke his words and sang his praises, making the Lord known to the people. She also acted as an intermediator between men and death. She, along with Aaron and Moses, led the Israelites out of Egypt and into freedom (Micah 6:4). She also interceded with Pharaoh’s daughter to save Moses’ life, a brave move that could easily cost her life.

Praises be to you Lord, for you have rescued me over and over in my life and will continue to do so. May your praise be ever on my lips (Psalm 34:1). Let the wonders of your deeds be known by the words and praise that I offer.

Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing.
    Miriam sang to them:

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    WEDNESDAY JULY 29, 2O26.
"DEAL WITH THE STUMBLING BLOCKS (1)"

'Make up your mind not to put any stumbling block…in your brother’s way.’
    Romans 14:13 NIV

IF YOU want to win someone to Christ, there are certain stumbling blocks you may have to remove. Let’s be honest, people are turned off by religion for a lot of reasons—legitimate ones. Let’s look at some: 1) Hypocrisy. Think about the twelve disciples; one of them betrayed Jesus, one denied Him, and one doubted Him. That’s a 25% failure rate! But the good news is, Jesus continues to love us and work with us in spite of our problems. 2) Terminology. If you grew up in the church, you’re probably familiar with Bible terminology. But don’t assume everybody else is, or you’ll talk over their heads. When Jesus talked to shepherds, He discussed sheep. When He talked to farmers, He discussed sowing and reaping. Identify the person’s interests and spiritual needs, then use language they understand. 3) Negative emphasis. If your major emphasis is on what people can’t do, they’ll run in the opposite direction. A well-known preacher says, ‘I grew up understanding what our church was against, but never what it was for. Basically, we were against everything!’ Smiling, he added, ‘We preached against smoking and drinking. We especially preached against adultery, because we believed that could lead to dancing.’ Seriously, the gospel is not about what you lose when you come to Christ, but what you gain. Jesus said, ‘…I have come that they may have life and have it to the full’ (John 10:10 NIV). If you’re serious about winning people to Christ, you must recognise the stumbling blocks that stand in their way and try to remove them.

    ```TEXT:JAMES 2:1-9```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors" (JAMES 2:9).*_

*Christianity and its adherents have indisputably been described as humanity's revolutionary "pioneers for legal equality". In his seminal study, _Real Faith,_ the American evangelist, Mark Driscoll, writes: "Christians broke ground on the battle for...equality... The Bible from beginning to end describes God's heart for the poor and commands His people to be generous (and respectful) toward those who possess little or nothing...Christianity does not allow us to equate net worth with self-worth."*

*Apostle James' inspired dictum on how not to treat the underclass in the Church or society is but a slice of the unequivocal stand of Christ on the matter. As He walked the streets during His ministry, the Lord never contemned the poor or wretched sinner because of their socioeconomic status. He was (still is) their Friend. He brought down all class distinction and taught His disciples that His Father's love extends to all humanity, beyond Jewry, religion or politics.*

*Great changes, movements and reforms over the generations along with the emergence of landmark constitutions such as that of the United States in 1787, have a heavy and unmistakable infusion of the teachings of Christianity on the equality of all men and women. This attests to the inerrant position of our Lord that He brought a message meant to transform lives for a rancour-free relationship among men, and prepare us for a hereafter of harmonious experience.*

*The Lord does not expect Christians to wear a partisan or condescending outlook in our assembly or outside it. Christianity has given the world a "royal law" that disavows looking down on the deprived in order to please the rich. James says those who flout such a creed that has benefited humanity are "transgressors". We do not only need to embrace the law wholeheartedly in the home and in our congregations, we also need to practise it in our workplaces. We must be doers of the Word.*

*In February 2025, in Winterset, Iowa, U.S.A., Keigan Reisor, a 16-year-old secondary school student, found himself and his family trapped in their home by a sudden flood. Torrential rains had overwhelmed rivers and drainage systems, and in hours, water was rising fast around their house. Keigan's mother panicked, and his younger sister cried. They were scared and had no way out, and the roads turned into rivers.*

*But Keigan remembered a verse he had learned in youth group: Isaiah 43:2. He held onto that verse as a lifeline. Instead of panicking, he began praying aloud and singing worship songs to calm his sister and encourage his mother. After hours of waiting in the cold, a rescue team arrived in boats and helped the family to safety.*

*The phrase 'fear not' and its variants appear over eighty times in the King James Version of the Bible, emphasising the significance of trusting God always, giving no room for worry. Fear weakens faith and hinders one from receiving from God. All things are possible with God, and if you trust Him, nothing shall be impossible.*

In the examination hall, Emily spotted Olivia copying answers from a tiny piece of paper she had sneaked in. She tried asking for answers to one of the questions but Olivia refused, for fear of being caught. Because of this, Emily raised her hand and reported Olivia to the teacher, who seized the piece of paper; and after much pleadings, asked her to start all over on a new, fresh answer script.

However, towards the end of the examination, the teacher noticed that Emily was restless and behaving in a suspicious way. She walked up to her table and asked her to raise her answer booklet. Lo and behold, there was a full page of all the answers neatly scribbled.

The teacher wrote *"CHEATED"* on her examination answer booklet in bold letters and walked her out of the examination hall. Check yourself! Do you engage in stealing, cheating, backbiting, and other vices that you condemn in other people?

*Like Jesus warned, you're to remove the log of wood in your own eyes before removing the speck from others. It is true that you cannot give out what you don't have. Instead of always pointing accusing fingers at others, examine yourself and pray to be free from every form of sinful behaviour. That done, it will be a lot easier to correct and point out the way of salvation to others. Your life is a book before the world, does it point them to Jesus?*

    *AVOID PARTIALITY: IT IS SIN*

    *TEXT:* JAMES 2:1-9.

1.My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
    2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

*Timeless Truth:*_"But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors"_ (James 2:9).

    *INTRODUCTION*

Partiality and favouritism are part of the mark of the corrupted adamic nature. God is impartial and He expects His children to reflect His character in their relationships with others. Favouritism is the act of treating people differently based on their appearance, wealth, social status, tribe or influence. Scriptures strongly condemn this attitude because it contradicts the gospel of Christ, who died for all and takes every soul to be equally in need of redemption. Every believer must guard against prejudice and show the same love and respect to everyone, knowing that all people are created in God's image.

    *1. The Commandment against Favouritism*

a.James begins with a direct command: *"My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ... with respect of persons."* The Christian faith is incompatible with favouritism and partiality. Genuine faith in Christ cannot coexist with partiality. God created each soul with His breath, He gave the same life to all and made the same heaven for all without discrimination. The gospel is the same and the conditions for salvation are the same for all. It is the same Rapture for all believers. The Gospel of Christ breaks all barriers, via social, race, status, education and wealth. During Christ days here on earth, He welcomed the rich and the poor, the influential and the rejected without discrimination. When believers show favouritism, they misrepresent the nature of Christ and weaken the testimony of the Church. b. The faith of Christ is a leveler. *"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus"* (Galatians 3:28). True Christianity values people because of who they are before God, not because of what they possess.

    *Question*

Does my attitude towards people reflect Christ's impartial love or am I influenced by their social status and outward appearance?

    *2. Cases of Favouritism*

    a. James illustrates favouritism with the example of giving the wealthy man a place of honour while humiliating the poor man. Such conduct exposes worldly thinking and evil motives. Definitely, people have different positions and some are given special honour because of their positions. However, giving honour to such people should not translate to dishonouring or disrespecting others. Everyone should be given due honour and respect. *"Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king"* (1 Peter 2:17). The Church should be a place where everyone receives equal dignity and acceptance. Judging people by external appearance instead of godly character creates division and dishonours God. Believers must consciously reject every form of discrimination based on wealth, education, ethnicity or influence.
b.Those who are partial *"are become judges of evil thoughts"* because it involves pride, deriding and degrading God's creatures in their thoughts. The Scriptures ask, *"Who maketh thee to differ?"*. All God's human creations regardless of race, social and material status are equal before Him. Also, in the day of judgment, there will be no special consideration or special treatment of anybody before God. God will judge without any partiality where everybody will be naked before Him and the servant will be freed from their masters.

    *Question*

Do I ever treat someone differently because of his or her appearance, possessions, position or background?

    *3. Concerns Over Favouritism*

a.James gives serious reasons why favouritism is sinful and does not make sense. The people who are poor are often more serious with their faith than those we specially esteem because of who and what they possess. *"Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom?"*. The people Jesus chose as His disciples were not even lettered men and yet they were the people who *"turned the world upside down"* and their ministries remain blessings to generations after them. God has often chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of His kingdom. Ironically, some of those receiving preferential treatment are sometimes the very people who oppress the poor.
    b. Above all, favouritism violates the royal law: *"Love your neighbour as yourself."* Anyone who practices partiality becomes guilty of sin before God. Love cannot be selective; it must be impartial, sincere and Christ-like.

    *Question*

Am I fulfilling the royal law of love by treating every person with equal respect and compassion?

    *Prayer Points*

1.Lord, forgive me for every form of favouritism, prejudice and partiality in my heart .
2.Father, fill me with Christ's love so that I will treat every person with dignity and respect .
3.Purge Your Church from all carnal discriminations and favouritism .
4.Lord, help our church to reflect Your impartial nature and welcome everyone without discrimination.

*BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* EPHESIANS 1-3.

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    MP.i. Morning Prayer

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. ⏤ Romans 8:15

The greatest privilege of prayer is not what you can get from God, but simply to be with God. ⏤ A.W. Tozer

It is a great comfort, our Father, to always be able to come to You with our needs. It is reassuring to know that You are truly our Father. We understand something of what fatherhood means to a child, and it is wonderful to know that You are our divine Father, not just in name, but in all that a father can be to a child—You are to us, and even more, as Your divinity is greater than humanity. Help us to know You as our Father, to trust in Your fatherly love for us, and in Your fatherly care.

Grant us the spirit of being Your children, the spirit of adoption, that we may look up to You and say, "Abba, Father!" May we be obedient children, doing all that You ask us to do. May we honor You as children are taught to honor their parents. May our commitment and our actions be worthy of You. Let us never do anything that would bring dishonor to You. May Your image be reflected in our lives so clearly and brightly that everyone who sees us will see Your divine fatherly qualities shining through us.

Today, as we go out into the world, we ask that we may indeed go as Your children. We will need Your protection. The world is full of dangers, subtle enemies, insidious influences, and crafty evils. We cannot take care of ourselves—so we ask You to take care of us. Hide us away in the secret of Your presence, from the strife of tongues.

We will need Your sustaining grace for every step of the way—grace upon grace. Just as the flowers cannot live without Heaven's dew, rain, and sunshine—so neither can we live without Your love and strength. Fill us with Your Spirit. Pour Your love into our hearts. Then we will be able to live lives worthy of Your children. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

The Bible from beginning to end describes God's heart for the poor and commands His people to be generous (and respectful) toward those who possess little or nothing...Christianity does not allow us to equate net worth with self-worth."* *Apostle James' inspired dictum on how not to treat the underclass in the Church or society is but a slice of the unequivocal stand of Christ on the matter. As He walked the streets during His ministry, the Lord never contemned the poor or wretched sinner because of their socioeconomic status. He was (still is) their Friend. He brought down all class distinction and taught His disciples that His Father's love extends to all humanity, beyond Jewry, religion or politics.* *Great changes, movements and reforms over the generations along with the emergence of landmark constitutions such as that of the United States in 1787, have a heavy and unmistakable infusion of the teachings of Christianity on the equality of all men and women. This attests to the inerrant position of our Lord that He brought a message meant to transform lives for a rancour-free relationship among men, and prepare us for a hereafter of harmonious experience.* *The Lord does not expect Christians to wear a partisan or condescending outlook in our assembly or outside it. We must be doers of the Word.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*The ripple effects of the advent of Christ are ageless.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *EPHESIANS 1-3*📜📜 Christianity's All-Time Impact https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 75: THE CHURCH'S IS ONE FOUNDATION; GHS 49: LET OTHERS SEE JESUS IN YOU; AND GHS 232: BLEST BE THE TIE THAT BINDS* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna29thJuly2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [28/07, 9:58 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```WEDNESDAY 29TH JULY, 2026``` *DON'T GIVE UP!* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️💪🏽🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽✌🏽🙌🏽 📜📜```TEXT:ISAIAH 43:2-7```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee" (ISAIAH 43:2).*_ *In February 2025, in Winterset, Iowa, U.S.A., Keigan Reisor, a 16-year-old secondary school student, found himself and his family trapped in their home by a sudden flood. They were scared and had no way out, and the roads turned into rivers.* *But Keigan remembered a verse he had learned in youth group: Isaiah 43:2. He held onto that verse as a lifeline. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? 7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? 8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: 9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. *Timeless Truth:*_"But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors"_ (James 2:9). *INTRODUCTION* Partiality and favouritism are part of the mark of the corrupted adamic nature. *1. The Commandment against Favouritism* a.James begins with a direct command: *"My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ... with respect of persons."* The Christian faith is incompatible with favouritism and partiality. *Question* Does my attitude towards people reflect Christ's impartial love or am I influenced by their social status and outward appearance? *2. Cases of Favouritism* a. *Question* Do I ever treat someone differently because of his or her appearance, possessions, position or background? *3. Concerns Over Favouritism* a.James gives serious reasons why favouritism is sinful and does not make sense. *Question* Am I fulfilling the royal law of love by treating every person with equal respect and compassion? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, forgive me for every form of favouritism, prejudice and partiality in my heart 🙏. 2.Father, fill me with Christ's love so that I will treat every person with dignity and respect 🙏. 3.Purge Your Church from all carnal discriminations and favouritism 🙏. 4.Lord, help our church to reflect Your impartial nature and welcome everyone without discrimination🙏. *HYMN:* The way of the cross leads home *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* EPHESIANS 1-3. 2. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. ⏤ Romans 8:15 The greatest privilege of prayer is not what you can get from God, but simply to be with God. ⏤ A.W. Tozer It is a great comfort, our Father, to always be able to come to You with our needs. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/24/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.

  • The Mercy Seat

Numbers 7:89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him

    INTRODUCTION:

The Mercy Seat was on top of the lid of the Ark of Covenant. It was described by Martin Luther in his German Bible as the mercy seat because YHWH “sat” enthroned over it in mercy, invisibly present where the wingtips of two cherubim met above it, guarding the divine presence.

So, the Ark represented for Israel the localized presence of YHWH in judgment, mercy, forgiveness, and love; and because it contained the Ten Commandments, it was a visible reminder that their life was to be lived in obedience to the expressed will of YHWH.

The Showbread table was in the Holy Place.

The Ark along with Mercy Seat was in the Holy of Holies or Most Holy Place.

    I. THE VEIL
The manifest presence of YHWH is beyond the veil which separates the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. Only the High Priest could go into the Most Holy Place once a year AND only with the blood.

Mark 15:38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom.

We have access to the Manifest Presence of YHWH because the power of Messiah’s death, BUT only with and through the power of Messiah’s Blood.

Messiah is our High Priest now.

Hebrews 6:19-20 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. I enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where Messiah, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in order of Melchizedek.

II. DANCING IN FRONT OF THE VEIL
Sometimes we get into the Holy Place and get to the Veil, BUT we are satisfied
with this. We don’t want to go any further. WHY? Several reasons come to my mind:

    1. We are ONLY want the emotional high, not the life changing experience of YHWH,
    2. We are AFRAID of going beyond where the veil was - we’re not sure what is in store for us OR better yet was what YHWH has in store for us.

Occasionally somebody accidentally falls past the veil and then comes back with a wide-eyed stare. We get so overwhelmed with His Manifest Presence we can’t handle it. One of the reasons is sin.

I believe we can go into the Holy Place (a little bit of His Manifest Presence) with sin in our lives, BUT not into the Holy of Holies. The High Priest had to prepare himself for a period of time with ceremonial washing. He, and what he wore, had to pure before entering.

One reason we like to linger in the anointing is that it makes the flesh feel good. On the other hand, when the glory of YHWH comes, the flesh doesn’t feel very comfortable.

    III. THE ANOINTING

    Isaiah 6

The Purpose of the anointing is to help us make the transition from flesh into glory - the transition from the Holy Place to the Holy of Holies. When the glory of YHWH comes, we become like Isaiah. Our flesh is so weakened by YHWH’s presence that it is unnecessary for man to do anything other than behold Him in His glory.

When we come into His Presence, we are:
    1. convinced of His Holiness,
    2. At the same time, we are convinced of our unholiness and our need to repent and live holy before Him,
    3. We are aware of His worthiness to receive praise and worship, AND
    4. we are seized by a driving desire to dive deeper and lead others into His presence!

The Manifest Presence of YHWH makes changes in our lives - to live holy lives before Him.

Jacob prayed and wrestled for a blessing, by what he received was a “changing.” His name, his walk, and his demeanor were changed.

Isaiah received the hot coals on his lips, we receive the hot bread of His presence and are forever changed. When more of our flesh dies, more of our spirit lives.

There is a cost of receiving YHWH’s Presence.

 Jacob received the blessing, BUT he also received a bum hip.
 Isaiah received hot coals to his lips.
 They had to tie a rope around the High Priest’s ankle before he passed through the veil. They knew that if he entered YHWH’s presence in sin, then he wouldn’t be walking out of there.

    CONCLUSION:

Exodus 25:22 There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.

Mark 15:38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. We have access to the Manifest Presence of YHWH because the power of Messiah’s death, BUT only with and through the power of Messiah’s Blood.

Are we going to be satisfied with the Holy Place and the occasion blessing from the Presence of YHWH? OR Do we want the Manifest Presence of YHWH?

If the Manifest Presence of YHWH is what we truly want, then we NEED to remember that we can’t go into this Presence with sin.
