Events in Nigeria — violent attacks on believers, global attention rising, and world leaders speaking publicly about “Christian slaughter” — remind us: the great test for God’s people approaches quickly. This world is not calming down — it is accelerating toward the final conflict. “For nation shall rise against nation… and ye shall be hated of all nations for My name’s sake.” — Matthew 24:7,9 Many are shocked to see Christians hunted and killed. But prophecy told us persecution would return with fury. This is not simply politics — it is spiritual war breaking into the open. Judgment Day! “And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened... and another book was opened, which is the book of life...” Every man born into this world has an appointment he cannot miss — the Judgment Day. It is not a myth, nor a story; it is a divine reality that awaits all humanity. The Scripture declares in Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Whether rich or poor, educated or unlearned, believer or unbeliever — everyone will stand before the righteous Judge of all the earth. - THE CERTAINTY OF JUDGMENT Judgment Day is not optional — it is sure and settled. God has fixed a day to judge the world in righteousness. Acts 17:31 — “Because He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that Man whom He hath ordained.” No one can escape it. The Judge cannot be bribed, and no excuse will be accepted. On that day, truth will be revealed and secrets will be exposed (Ecclesiastes 12:14). - THE JUDGE OF THAT DAY The Judge is Jesus Christ — the Lamb of God who was slain for our sins. John 5:22 — “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son.” On that day, the same Jesus who died to save men will sit to judge those who rejected His salvation. His judgment will be perfect, holy, and fair. - THE STANDARD OF JUDGMENT Men will not be judged by human laws or traditions, but by the Word of God. Bible Reference: John 12:48 — “The word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” The Bible is the standard. Everything we did — in secret or public — will be weighed according to God’s Word. - THE BOOKS WILL BE OPENED On that great day, several books will be opened: The Book of Works (to record every action and thought) – Revelation 20:12 The Book of Life (containing the names of those who are saved) – Philippians 4:3 If your name is not found in the Book of Life, there will be no second chance. Revelation 20:15 says, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” - THE SEPARATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS AND THE WICKED On Judgment Day, there will be a great separation — the sheep on His right hand, and the goats on His left. Bible Reference: Matthew 25:32–33 — “And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.” The righteous will enter eternal joy; the wicked will face eternal punishment. - THE FINAL DESTINY OF EVERY SOUL For the righteous — eternal life with God. For the wicked — eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:46). This truth should make every man live with a holy fear of God and a heart ready for eternity. - HOW TO PREPARE FOR JUDGMENT DAY * Repent of your sins (Acts 3:19) *Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9–10) * Live a holy and righteous life (Hebrews 12:14) * Walk in obedience to the Word of God (James 1:22) * Be faithful till the end (Matthew 24:13) Judgment Day is not to scare you — it is to prepare you.
