I’m struggling with the "math" of missions lately.
I’ve worked closely with leaders who talk about "Kingdom Finance," but their methods look a lot more like a corporate sales pitch. I see numbers being inflated and projects being presented as "complete" when the work hasn't even started. The hardest part? These "businessmen" seem to live in luxury with more than enough funding, while those committed to transparency and honesty are barely surviving.
It makes me wonder: Does the system just reward the best storytellers?
I want to stay faithful. I want to stay honest. But I’m at a crossroads with how to handle my own finances in a world that seems to fund the "show" more than the "soul."
How do we restore integrity to the mission field? I’d love to hear from others who have felt this tension.
