If obedience is better than sacrifice, then being a daughter of God will always outweigh being anyone's wife. And a woman that's so preoccupied with adding weight to her left hand will never realize the full weight of Jesus holding her right. In her need to be one flesh she will run to the wrong altar. Because how many times have we pleaded to become one with someone else's soul over being one with Jesus and the Lord alone? The heaviness of true value has been diminished to the weight of a ring, to such a small thing, to the holding of a woman's skin. It has diminished to two souls being bonded together rather than being Jesus' kin. In the trading in of being called daughter of God to be called lover by another is yearning for partnership over resurrection. It is desiring human love over eternal salvation and a man's " I do" won't save you. A man's I love you won't make you. Wearing white won't raise you from the dead. A diamond ring won't set you free. And a man's love won't fill the part of you that feels empty and needs filling. And it's grevious, that. and covering, and you feel nothing because you don't desire his hand, you desire the love of another man and is that not an idol?
