Daily Devotion — July 21 | Acts 11:17 (NKJV)
Surrendering to God's Plan
Peter spoke these words as he explained how God had extended salvation to the Gentiles. What began as a surprising revelation became undeniable evidence that God was working beyond the boundaries people had expected.
Sometimes God works in ways that challenge our assumptions. Like Peter, we may discover that God's plans are bigger than our understanding. When God is clearly at work, wisdom calls us to submit to His purposes rather than resist them.
Believers must remain open to God's leading and willing to follow wherever He directs. His wisdom far exceeds our own, and His plans are always good.
When we recognize God's hand at work, our response should be faith, humility, and obedience.
Reflection Questions
1. Am I willing to follow God's plan even when it surprises me
2. Have I resisted something God may be doing in my life
3. How can I better trust God's wisdom
Prayer
Lord God, help me recognize Your work and submit to Your will. Give me a humble heart that trusts Your wisdom above my own understanding. In Jesus name Amen.
Practical Application
● Ask God to reveal areas where you need greater surrender
● Trust Him with situations you do not fully understand
● Remain open to His leading through Scripture
Takeaway Thought
God's plans are always greater than our expectations.
