• Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

    Today looks to be a potentially soggy day again. I checked the weather on my phone and it was a muddy puddle. This brings me to my funny story for you today.

    Yesterday, my husband and I had a meeting with our VA lawyer in a new town. Because of all the storms and flooding issues, the crowd was much smaller. We actually got to ask a couple of questions when we sat down with him. We did not feel rushed. As good as that was, it was not the highlight of the trip. While waiting for our turn, we met some new friends. Two of which just happened to be authors. One of which just happens to run a podcast. Hmmm. Any thoughts on why we went to ‘this’ meeting with the lawyer and not the meeting place? I wonder if Someone knew who we were going to meet.

    One of these two individuals’ spouses has memory issues. The other is applying for their survivor’s benefits with the lawyer’s help. I wonder Who designed this meeting?

    Since I have been retired, I have been hyper-focused on making sure that I take care of my husband and keep his medical stuff straight and on track. I have been hyper-focused on keeping our lives as smooth as possible. So hyper-focused that when my littles from across the pond arrived, I was not the fun American grandma. I was grumpy grandma. That changed yesterday.

    On our way home from the lawyer, I was thinking about all this rain, the flooding, and then I thought about the muddy puddles in my yard. I decided on the way home that we were going to play in the muddy puddles. God gave them to us, why not play in them? So, when I got home, I changed into shorts, kicked off my shoes, and challenged the grandkids to a splash fest. I do not know how long we played, but we all needed showers when it was over with … and that is after washing off with the garden hose. I even got the other grandma to play in the muddy puddle. We all were muddy puddle winners.

    Too often, the enemy gets grown-ups to think they have to be adults all the time. When in fact, Jesus tells us that we are to come to Him as children. In all these storms, there have been ugly skies, so dancing in the rain has not been possible … however … splashing in the muddy puddles … well now, that is an awesome stress reliever.

    Today is His day. Today we are going to his house to worship him, whether in a church or a prayer closet. Today we are going to thank Him for his blessings and for the trials. Today, we give God the glory and enter His presence as children. Will you join me on the heavenly playground of muddy puddles?

    Be blessed.

    **And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 18:3-4

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    THE WORD FOR TODAY

    "RESPONDING TO FAILURE"

    ‘A righteous person may fall…but he gets up again...’ Proverbs 24:16 GWT

    YOU CAN tell a lot about somebody by how they respond to life. Everybody gets knocked down, but how fast you get up again is what counts. Verla Gillmor says: ‘Failure teaches us things we can’t learn any other way…Treat it as a visitor allowed to deliver unpleasant news, but don’t let it take up residence. Remember, all failures aren’t equal. For example, when a beautiful, talented young woman is the first-runner-up in a beauty contest, some say she failed. Yet some people would give their right arm to be named the second most attractive female in a competition. It’s a matter of perspective… [examine] your failures and weigh them according to their importance in the overall scheme of things…I once received a ‘D’ at college…it’s ridiculous, but that sticks in my mind like a pebble in my shoe. Why do I fixate on that and not the fact that it happened during the term I carried nineteen credit hours, worked part-time, got engaged, and spent six weeks in the college health centre with mononucleosis? When I put the experience in context, it loses its power to undermine my confidence. Failure teaches us what’s important. I have a friend who was made redundant…It caught her by surprise because she was good at her work. “I tended to be full of pride,” she says. “I got away with it because I was so successful. Losing my job…humbled me. With pride you have no permission to fail. It’s a heavy yoke…and I don’t wear it any more. I feel lighter in my spirit without the burden of having to be perfect.’’’

    *A MORE DESCRIPTION OF HEAVEN*

    *TEXT:* REVELATION 21:1-8.

    1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
    2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
    3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
    4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
    5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
    6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
    7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
    8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"_ (Hebrews 11:10).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    When Garden Eden was created, it was the most beautiful place Adam could ever conceive of, with all the beautiful birds, animals, plants and cool weather. However, nobody needed to tell Adam that there must be a better place because the God that used to commune with him in *"the cool of the day"* was not living in Eden. He must be dwelling in a better place. This faith was carried on from generations to generations until the time of Abraham, who in spite of all the wealth promised him, his affection was focused on the better city. *"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"*. Nobody was given a better revelation of heaven than Apostle John. Enoch and Elijah were said to be translated to heaven. How heaven looked like was left to human imaginations. Jesus Christ also mentioned heaven as the abode of the Triune God. He only told us it has many mansions. At the mount of transfiguration was revealed the glory of heaven and how the inhabitants will look like. Nothing more was revealed. Stephen saw heaven at the point of death but just faintly (Acts 7:55-56). Paul the apostle was taken to heaven which he called the third heaven, but he said he was not permitted to reveal what he saw to any except that he exposed that it has many foundations (Acts 11:10, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4). The text shows us the climax of God's revelation about heaven. Yet the Bible writers were short of words to describe heaven except that it is the place where God dwells from eternity, with all His created angels and saints. *"How beautiful heaven must be"*.

    *1. Prepared Heaven*

    a. Those who doubt the testimony of Apostle John must be ready to doubt his gospel and epistles that have transformed lives and brought supernatural comforts and revelation of Jesus Christ to mankind for centuries. *"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth"*. He was not told or heard from a third party. He saw it himself. It was not a remodelled new heaven and earth, but a totally new heaven and a new earth. *"And there was no more sea"*. There are three types of heaven mentioned in the Bible. There is the atmospheric heaven where the rain comes from (Deuteronomy 11:11). There is the second heaven called heavenlies where we have the galaxies including the primary domain of demonic forces and angelic conflicts (Ephesians 6:12). Then we have the third heaven or paradise where God dwells (2 Corinthians 12:2). *"For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away"*. The first two heavens were passed away except the third heaven. 2 Peter 3:12, 13 reveals how this will happen. *"….. wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. "*. The earth and the heavens will be destroyed through fervent heat. Jesus Himself confirmed that heaven and earth with all their structures, beauties, learnings and philosophies shall all pass away except the Word of God (Matthew 5:18, 24:35). In fact, all the human bodies will give way to eternal and indestructible bodies. Thus, what Apostle John saw was the giving away of all things that are visible and temporary for things that are eternal.
    b. *"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven"*. The earthly Jerusalem was referred to as the city of the Great King (Psalm 48:2, Matthew 5:35). This is referring to the Millennium holy Jerusalem from where Jesus will rule the whole world physically. John the apostle said that Jerusalem ceased to exist, but gave way to a completely New Jerusalem. This New Jerusalem was seen coming *"out of heaven"*. Obviously, it is seen coming from the third heaven which is the eternal throne of God. He used the imagery of the beauty of a bride coming to meet the husband to describe the beauty of heaven. This is the best description human language can give. *Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband"*. He then heard the voice of God announcing the plan of God right from eternity. What was that plan? That God will physically, live among men as King over loving subjects; as Father over His children in a happy family set up and as God over His redeemed and people. *"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God"*. This is the beginning of heaven, happy and holy eternity.

    *Question*

    Are you getting prepared for heaven in the practical sense of it? If Not, then you don't actually, believe in heaven.

    *2. Pacification with Happiness*

    a. The Apostle further gave a glimpse of how we will feel in heaven. *"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes"*. Tears of sorrow, anguish, lost loved ones, physical and psychological pains, etc.will all be forgotten. This is difficult to imagine for man. It is like imagining how God promised that *"your sins and iniquities will I remember no more"*. We don't have a problem with God forgiving our sins, but God forgetting our sins will be difficult to imagine. We will all forget the painful past as we will be overwhelmed with the glory of God for eternity. *"There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away"*. The pains and the tears, called *"light afflictions"* will be for a moment. They will not survive the joy of eternity.
    b. For those who have difficulty with believing, *"he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful"*. Heaven is prepared already. When Jesus Christ was about going to heaven, He assured the disciples of going to build mansions for them. About 60 years later, when John saw the revelation, he was told by the Lord that it was done. It means it is a settled and concluded matter. *"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end"*. In heaven there will not be any heat or tension, but total refreshments and happiness. *"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely"*. Everything God has will be totally ours. All the gifts of God, physical or spiritual, will belong to us as possessions. Nothing needed or useful will be denied. We suffer different lacks while on earth. Heaven will be the opposite. *"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son"*. Are you an overcomer over sin, Satan and all his temptations?

    *Question*

    What are the things you are suffering on earth? Do you see them as temporary?

    *3. Punishment of Hell*

    What are the things that will disqualify any from entering heaven? What would be the abode of those who will miss heaven? The answer is fearful. *"But the fearful, and unbelieving"*. Every evil action stems from fear and unbelief. Unbelief of what God has spoken and the consequences of disobedience, fear of man and what man can do are terrible paralysing feelings that draw men to perdition. *"And the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars"*. Notice that all those sins are now also found inside the Church among professing saints. So there will be eternal surprises when those who profess that heaven is their home find themselves in a totally different place called hell. They *"shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone*.

    *Question*

    Are you transparently free from all sins?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Give praises to God that you are in that number saved by grace .
    2.Ask God to search your life, expose, purge and cleanse you from all disqualifying habits .
    3.Pray that the vision of heaven will get brighter and brighter to you and your mind and affections will be focused on heavenly things .
    4.Pray that all believers will be delivered from all forms of self deception and will take entering heaven more seriously .

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (REVELATION 21:4).*_
    *John Harper, a Scottish Baptist pastor and evangelist, died on the _RMS Titanic_ in 1912. His last words, as testified by survivors, were "I have seen heaven, and it is beautiful" and "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Despite his death, Harper used his final moments to preach the gospel, expressing his deep assurance that beyond death lay a place of eternal peace. A rescued survivor testified that Harper, clinging to the wreckage, asked if he was saved and urged him to believe in Jesus Christ. The survivor later accepted Christ and called himself "the last convert of John Harper."*
    *Today's passage paints a breath-taking vision of the new heaven and new earth. John sees the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending from God, adorned like a bride. A powerful voice declares that God will dwell among His people, wiping away every tear. Death, mourning, crying, and pain will be gone forever. The former things will pass away, and everything will be made new. God, the Alpha and Omega, promises the water of life to those who thirst. But He also warns that those who reject Him (those living in sin, fear, unbelief) will face eternal separation in the lake of fire.*
    *In this world, we experience suffering in many forms such as loss, illness, disappointment, pain and injustice. But for those who belong to Christ, these trials are temporary. Christ assures us that a glorious future awaits us, one where God Himself will comfort us, and all suffering will cease. This hope should encourage believers to endure hardships with faith, knowing that one day, we will step into a place where joy is endless and pain is no more. It also calls us to live righteously, rejecting sin and embracing the promise of eternity with God.*
    *No matter what trials you face today, hold unto the hope of heaven. Let this promise strengthen your faith, drive you to share the gospel, and encourage you to live in readiness for Christ's return. A day is coming when all suffering will cease and there will be no more tears, pain or death. Get ready to be part of this eternally glorious moment.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. ⏤ Galatians 5:13
    Let your religion be less of a theory and more of a love affair. ⏤ G.K. Chesterton
    O God, who has redeemed us by the precious blood of the Lamb, help us to live for Your praise and glory in all that we do. Since Jesus Christ has died for us and we are not our own, we want to live lives worthy of Your holiness. We confess and renounce all our sins. Teach us to hate sin and give us the grace to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, to the glory of Your holy name.
    We ask You to reveal Yourself to us this morning as we go forth and to give us the assurance of Your presence. You have promised that as our days are, so shall our strength be, and that Your grace will always be sufficient for us. We cling to these promises as we enter a new day whose experiences we cannot predict. We do not know what dangers we will encounter, what burdens will be placed on us, what temptations will whisper in our ears, what pitfalls will lie in our path, or what insidious influences will threaten the purity of our souls.
    So we hide ourselves in You and trust You to keep us safe all day.
    We desire to be useful and helpful to others. Save us from selfishness and self-centeredness. Teach us the great lesson of service. May we have the mind of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. May we serve one another in love. May we live to help others and do good.
    Help us to see the needs we can meet, to perceive the ways we can serve, and then give us the true spirit of ministry so that we may do the things that will bless others. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may be like You. We ask all this in the name of our Savior. Amen.
He must be dwelling in a better place. This faith was carried on from generations to generations until the time of Abraham, who in spite of all the wealth promised him, his affection was focused on the better city. *"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"*. Nobody was given a better revelation of heaven than Apostle John. Enoch and Elijah were said to be translated to heaven. How heaven looked like was left to human imaginations. Jesus Christ also mentioned heaven as the abode of the Triune God. He only told us it has many mansions. At the mount of transfiguration was revealed the glory of heaven and how the inhabitants will look like. Nothing more was revealed. Stephen saw heaven at the point of death but just faintly (Acts 7:55-56). Paul the apostle was taken to heaven which he called the third heaven, but he said he was not permitted to reveal what he saw to any except that he exposed that it has many foundations (Acts 11:10, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4). The text shows us the climax of God's revelation about heaven. Yet the Bible writers were short of words to describe heaven except that it is the place where God dwells from eternity, with all His created angels and saints. *"How beautiful heaven must be"*. *1. Prepared Heaven* a. Those who doubt the testimony of Apostle John must be ready to doubt his gospel and epistles that have transformed lives and brought supernatural comforts and revelation of Jesus Christ to mankind for centuries. *"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth"*. He was not told or heard from a third party. He saw it himself. It was not a remodelled new heaven and earth, but a totally new heaven and a new earth. *"And there was no more sea"*. There are three types of heaven mentioned in the Bible. There is the atmospheric heaven where the rain comes from (Deuteronomy 11:11). There is the second heaven called heavenlies where we have the galaxies including the primary domain of demonic forces and angelic conflicts (Ephesians 6:12). Then we have the third heaven or paradise where God dwells (2 Corinthians 12:2). *"For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away"*. The first two heavens were passed away except the third heaven. 2 Peter 3:12, 13 reveals how this will happen. *"….. wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. "*. The earth and the heavens will be destroyed through fervent heat. Jesus Himself confirmed that heaven and earth with all their structures, beauties, learnings and philosophies shall all pass away except the Word of God (Matthew 5:18, 24:35). In fact, all the human bodies will give way to eternal and indestructible bodies. Thus, what Apostle John saw was the giving away of all things that are visible and temporary for things that are eternal. b. *"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven"*. The earthly Jerusalem was referred to as the city of the Great King (Psalm 48:2, Matthew 5:35). This is referring to the Millennium holy Jerusalem from where Jesus will rule the whole world physically. John the apostle said that Jerusalem ceased to exist, but gave way to a completely New Jerusalem. This New Jerusalem was seen coming *"out of heaven"*. Obviously, it is seen coming from the third heaven which is the eternal throne of God. He used the imagery of the beauty of a bride coming to meet the husband to describe the beauty of heaven. This is the best description human language can give. *Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband"*. He then heard the voice of God announcing the plan of God right from eternity. What was that plan? That God will physically, live among men as King over loving subjects; as Father over His children in a happy family set up and as God over His redeemed and people. *"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God"*. This is the beginning of heaven, happy and holy eternity. *Question* Are you getting prepared for heaven in the practical sense of it? If Not, then you don't actually, believe in heaven. *2. Pacification with Happiness* a. The Apostle further gave a glimpse of how we will feel in heaven. *"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes"*. Tears of sorrow, anguish, lost loved ones, physical and psychological pains, etc.will all be forgotten. This is difficult to imagine for man. It is like imagining how God promised that *"your sins and iniquities will I remember no more"*. We don't have a problem with God forgiving our sins, but God forgetting our sins will be difficult to imagine. We will all forget the painful past as we will be overwhelmed with the glory of God for eternity. *"There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away"*. The pains and the tears, called *"light afflictions"* will be for a moment. They will not survive the joy of eternity. b. For those who have difficulty with believing, *"he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful"*. Heaven is prepared already. When Jesus Christ was about going to heaven, He assured the disciples of going to build mansions for them. About 60 years later, when John saw the revelation, he was told by the Lord that it was done. It means it is a settled and concluded matter. *"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end"*. In heaven there will not be any heat or tension, but total refreshments and happiness. *"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely"*. Everything God has will be totally ours. All the gifts of God, physical or spiritual, will belong to us as possessions. Nothing needed or useful will be denied. We suffer different lacks while on earth. Heaven will be the opposite. *"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son"*. Are you an overcomer over sin, Satan and all his temptations? *Question* What are the things you are suffering on earth? Do you see them as temporary? *3. Punishment of Hell* What are the things that will disqualify any from entering heaven? What would be the abode of those who will miss heaven? The answer is fearful. *"But the fearful, and unbelieving"*. Every evil action stems from fear and unbelief. Unbelief of what God has spoken and the consequences of disobedience, fear of man and what man can do are terrible paralysing feelings that draw men to perdition. *"And the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars"*. Notice that all those sins are now also found inside the Church among professing saints. So there will be eternal surprises when those who profess that heaven is their home find themselves in a totally different place called hell. They *"shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone*. *Question* Are you transparently free from all sins? *Prayer Points* 1.Give praises to God that you are in that number saved by grace 🙏. 2.Ask God to search your life, expose, purge and cleanse you from all disqualifying habits 🙏. 3.Pray that the vision of heaven will get brighter and brighter to you and your mind and affections will be focused on heavenly things 🙏. 4.Pray that all believers will be delivered from all forms of self deception and will take entering heaven more seriously 🙏. *HYMN:* How Beautiful Heaven Must Be. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 16-18. His last words, as testified by survivors, were "I have seen heaven, and it is beautiful" and "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Despite his death, Harper used his final moments to preach the gospel, expressing his deep assurance that beyond death lay a place of eternal peace. A rescued survivor testified that Harper, clinging to the wreckage, asked if he was saved and urged him to believe in Jesus Christ. The survivor later accepted Christ and called himself "the last convert of John Harper."* *Today's passage paints a breath-taking vision of the new heaven and new earth. John sees the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending from God, adorned like a bride. A powerful voice declares that God will dwell among His people, wiping away every tear. Death, mourning, crying, and pain will be gone forever. The former things will pass away, and everything will be made new. God, the Alpha and Omega, promises the water of life to those who thirst. But He also warns that those who reject Him (those living in sin, fear, unbelief) will face eternal separation in the lake of fire.* *In this world, we experience suffering in many forms such as loss, illness, disappointment, pain and injustice. But for those who belong to Christ, these trials are temporary. Christ assures us that a glorious future awaits us, one where God Himself will comfort us, and all suffering will cease. This hope should encourage believers to endure hardships with faith, knowing that one day, we will step into a place where joy is endless and pain is no more. It also calls us to live righteously, rejecting sin and embracing the promise of eternity with God.* *No matter what trials you face today, hold unto the hope of heaven. Let this promise strengthen your faith, drive you to share the gospel, and encourage you to live in readiness for Christ's return. A day is coming when all suffering will cease and there will be no more tears, pain or death. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. ⏤ Galatians 5:13 Let your religion be less of a theory and more of a love affair. ⏤ G.K. Chesterton O God, who has redeemed us by the precious blood of the Lamb, help us to live for Your praise and glory in all that we do. Since Jesus Christ has died for us and we are not our own, we want to live lives worthy of Your holiness. We confess and renounce all our sins. Teach us to hate sin and give us the grace to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, to the glory of Your holy name. We ask You to reveal Yourself to us this morning as we go forth and to give us the assurance of Your presence. You have promised that as our days are, so shall our strength be, and that Your grace will always be sufficient for us. We cling to these promises as we enter a new day whose experiences we cannot predict. We do not know what dangers we will encounter, what burdens will be placed on us, what temptations will whisper in our ears, what pitfalls will lie in our path, or what insidious influences will threaten the purity of our souls. So we hide ourselves in You and trust You to keep us safe all day. We desire to be useful and helpful to others. Save us from selfishness and self-centeredness. Teach us the great lesson of service. May we have the mind of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. May we serve one another in love. May we live to help others and do good. Help us to see the needs we can meet, to perceive the ways we can serve, and then give us the true spirit of ministry so that we may do the things that will bless others. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may be like You. We ask all this in the name of our Savior. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/39/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
  • One of my earliest surprises was discovering that pickles came from cucumbers. I watched Grandma slicing them one summer, and I didn’t believe her—not until I saw it for myself. To me, pickles came from jars. That’s just how the world worked.
    When you’re little, you don’t think much about where things come from. You simply accept the finished product. It never occurs to you that there was a story before what you can see. It’s obvious now, but as a child it felt like discovering a secret.
    Looking back, I think that’s one of the gifts of growing up on a farm. You didn’t just see the finished product—you watched the whole process. Seeds became gardens. Milk came from cows. Cucumbers became pickles. Every season quietly reminded you that there was more happening than you could see at first glance.
    I wonder if that’s part of what Jesus meant when He spoke about becoming like little children. Not being childish, but never losing our sense of wonder. The more we walk with God, the more we discover that His world is full of things deeper than they first appear.
  • I lost my grandma last night, and not being able to be there to say goodbye has left a deep ache in my heart. It's a pain that's hard to put into words.
    This morning, I'm headed to the cancer center, and emotionally, it's just been so much to carry all at once.
    If you could please keep me in your prayers today, I would be so grateful. I'm asking God for strength, peace, comfort, and the courage to face whatever lies ahead.
    Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every prayer. It truly means more than you know.
  • A Mother’s Love Never Leaves
    “Her children arise up, and call her blessed…” — Proverbs 31:28 (KJV)
    Thought Of The Day...
    Mother’s Day brings many emotions.
    For some, it is a day filled with hugs, phone calls, laughter, flowers, and cherished moments with a mother still present. For others, it is a tender reminder of an empty chair, a silent voice, and memories that still bring tears years later.
    Yet whether your mother is beside you today or resting in Heaven, love does not disappear. A godly mother leaves fingerprints on the heart that time can never erase.
    To those whose mothers have passed away — your grief is real because your love was real. The prayers she prayed, the sacrifices she made, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave are still living inside of you. Some days you can still hear her voice in your spirit, still remember her wisdom, still feel her embrace in moments when life becomes difficult. Earth may have lost her presence, but Heaven gained a faithful soul.
    Jesus understands sorrow. Even while hanging on the cross, He honored His mother and made sure she was cared for (John 19:26–27). That reminds us how deeply God values a mother’s love and the importance of honoring her.
    And to those blessed to still have their mothers today — cherish every moment. Time moves quickly. Sit with her. Call her. Pray with her. Listen to her stories. Care for her with patience and tenderness. The same hands that once cared for you may one day need your strength and compassion in return.
    Motherhood is one of God’s greatest gifts. It reflects nurturing, sacrifice, compassion, endurance, and unconditional love. A mother may grow weary, but her labor is never unseen by God.
    Today we celebrate the mothers who raised us, prayed for us, corrected us, protected us, and loved us through every season of life. We honor the mothers in Heaven whose memories still inspire us. And we thank God for the mothers still walking beside us today.
    Prayer...
    Heavenly Father,
    Today we thank You for every mother. Thank You for the women who poured love, wisdom, sacrifice, and faith into our lives. Strengthen the mothers who are still with us today. Cover them with peace, health, joy, and renewed strength.
    Lord, comfort every heart grieving the loss of a mother. Wrap them in Your loving arms and remind them that precious memories are gifts that death cannot take away. Let Your presence fill the empty places with peace and hope.
    Help us to honor our mothers not only with words, but with love, patience, forgiveness, and care. Teach us to treasure the time we have with those we love.
    May every mother know she is valued, appreciated, and deeply loved.
    In Jesus’ name, Amen.
    Declaration...
    Today I declare that I will honor and cherish the love God has placed in my life through mothers. I will carry the wisdom, prayers, and sacrifices of my mother in my heart every day. I declare that grief will not overtake me, for God is my comfort and strength. I will treasure every moment with the loved ones who are still with me and show them love while I can.
    I declare that mothers everywhere are blessed, strengthened, encouraged, and covered by the grace of God. Their labor is not in vain, their prayers are not forgotten, and their love will continue to impact generations.
    I declare peace over grieving hearts, joy over hurting souls, and comfort over every family this Mother’s Day. God’s love surrounds us, sustains us, and carries us forward with hope.
    In Jesus’ name, Amen.
    Happy Mother's day To every wife, Mom, Stepmom, Mother-in-law, Aunt, and Grandma!
    When Angels are Busy.
    By Bobby Davis
    May 8th, 2026
    “‘For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has mercy on you.”
    Isaiah 54:10
    I’ve been blessed by the kindness of strangers many times, and like most people, I’m always surprised. I shouldn’t be, but if I’m honest with myself, I realize that I’ve somehow fallen—with increasing ease—into the notion that most people are just looking out for themselves, and that kind and caring people are rare these days. I’ve also noticed that the more I allow myself to dwell or talk about the sad state of our world, the less caring I become. And then, there’s always that human tendency to keep track of the good I’m doing for others, too; making it easier to look down on everybody else. (God save me from that!)
    However, every once in a while, I hear of a story of compassion, like this one, that helps to change my perspective.
    A man in Denver, Colorado had just managed to coast, cursing, into a gas station. His engine had died, and now it wouldn’t even turn over. Before he could call a tow truck, he noticed a young woman who looked like she’d slipped on a patch of ice, falling forward into a pump. As he ran over to help her up, he realized that she’d probably collapsed from her sobs, instead.
    The poor thing looked exhausted, with dark circles under her eyes. As he helped her up, she dropped something, and when he reached down, he realized it was a nickel. Suddenly, he got the picture. The woman in tears. The old car, back seat crammed with three kids—one in a car seat. The gas pump that read $4.95.
    “Are you okay?” he asked. “Do you need some help?” But all she could say was, “Please, mister; I don’t want my kids to see me crying.”
    They stood on the other side of the pump as she told him they were driving to California. Things were hard for her right then, so he asked, “And you were praying, weren’t you?”
    She took a step back, but he reassured her he wasn’t a crazy man, adding, “Well, God heard you, and He sent me.”
    Taking his card out, he swiped it through the reader on the pump so she could fill up her tank. While she was pumping, he walked to the restaurant next door and brought back two big bags of food, and several gift certificates for more.
    She gave the food to the kids, who attacked it like wolves, then told him a little more. Her boyfriend had left several months ago, and she hadn’t been able to make ends meet. Finally, out of desperation, she’d called her parents, whom she hadn’t spoken to in five years. They told her to come out and live with them until she could get on her feet. Now, with everything she owned in that car, she’d told the kids they were heading to grandma’s house for Christmas.
    Giving her his gloves, he said a quick prayer for her safety and waved goodbye. But as he walked away she asked, “So, are you like an angel, or something?”
    He could feel tears welling up in his eyes. “Sweetie, at this time of year, angels are really busy, so sometimes God uses regular people.”
    Walking back to his car, he wiped away tears of gratitude. And—as you might have guessed—his car started up right away and got him home with no problem. I’ll put it in the shop tomorrow, he thought. But I suspect the mechanic won’t find anything wrong.
    Yes, sometimes the angels fly close enough that we can hear the flutter of their wings.
    “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22 (NIV).
    Three Angels Broadcasting Network Devotional. When Angels are Busy. By Bobby Davis May 8th, 2026 “‘For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has mercy on you.” Isaiah 54:10 I’ve been blessed by the kindness of strangers many times, and like most people, I’m always surprised.     LIFE In HIS WORD: that at the mention of the name of JESUS every knee should now, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth. Philippians 2:10
    I and Pauline went for a walk as always. This as been the tradition since our wedding. This time we went Bryan all holding hands and laughing. It’s usually a wonderful time to enjoy nature with your loved ones.
    A sandy wind blew past us, we held our caps and tried to blow the dust. A car stopped beside us, the hand picked Bryan from the window. I and Pauline kept looking in instant confusion and shock as Bryan struggled not to tuck his head into the window, all of a sudden it occured to us what was happening. We ran after the car shouting “Bryan! Bryan!” The car kept moving while the struggle between Bryan and the hand continued. We kept running after the car that moved slowly at times, then fast again. All of a sudden I heard my wife behind me shouting “JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS!” I joined too “JESUS, save Bryan, JESUS save Bryan”. At a point the car disappeared, my wife broke down and kept shouting JESUS through her tears. I quickly dialed 911 and explained they searched everywhere and found nothing and then promised us to be on the look out.
    We went home but my wife didn’t say anything or talk to me but kept calling JESUS. I was worn out, drained, shattered as we approached home.
    A boy poked his head out of the garden “dad over here” he was waving. My wife ran so fast shouting “JESUS!”. I hugged my son “how did you get here?” He smiled “those men dropped me, they said it irritated them so much that I was shouting JESUS. Grandma Parker next door found me wandering the next street turning and brought me home. I told her she could drop me at the door”.
    I hugged my wife and son and kept calling “JESUS”.
  • THREE ANGELS BROADCASTING NETWORK DEVOTIONAL.
    Real Treasure.
    By Bobby Davis
    March 24th, 2026
    As a television producer, I had dealt with many unforeseen circumstances, but this was different. Filming a children’s program with an amazing grandma talking about things that mattered to kids, was a satisfying experience. But I wasn’t so sure about filming it completely without a script! Before we began, we dedicated the program to the Lord, asking Him to bless the children who would watch. Little did I know that it would bless me before we even finished filming it.
    This episode was all about treasures, and she had young Michael with her. Sitting at a picnic table, she asked him what he had in his pockets. None of us knew, and I’m not sure she did either, but one by one, his treasures came out for inspection. An ancient piece of smooth glass, a spent AA battery, a sand dollar, some baby pinecones, and a rusty nail. Then he produced his favorite—a smooth skipping stone!
    Next, it was Grandma’s turn. A crumpled piece of paper with a poem, some pocket lint, a blue jay feather, and an agate she’d found in the creek. Then it was adventure time as our cameras followed them to the water. Rolling up their pant legs to their knees, they found several more agates, a snail shell, and a tiny crawdad with flailing pinchers. “Oh, he’s so cute!” Grandma squealed with genuine delight.
    Returning to the picnic table, she pulled a small rock tumbler out of a box and put her newfound treasure stones into the barrel, adding some grit. “The rock tumbler is good at taking off all the rough edges,” she explained. “And then, the grit polishes the stones until they shine!”
    Turning to the camera, she said, “Now that you know about our treasures, be sure to write and tell me about the things you collect. Tell me why they’re important to you. I’d really like to know! But before you go, look straight into my eyes, and remember that of all my treasures, you are the most valuable. My grandchildren are scattered all over the world. You’re like hidden treasure—just like the agates scattered in the creek. Jesus says the kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. He’s talking about you, you know. You are His treasures, and you are what makes up His kingdom. I’m part of it, too. Jesus calls us His special treasures. He calls us jewels, like diamonds and rubies, and emeralds! Just think, we are valuable, we are lovable! Never forget how precious you are to God—and to me.
    “You might feel like a plain old rock buried in the dirt. That you have no real value, and that no one sees you, anyway. The agates I find in the garden don’t look like much when I dig them up. They’re all encrusted with dirt and they’re really rough on the outside. You can’t see the real gem inside until you put them in the rock tumbler, where the sharp edges chip off as they bump up against each other.
    “Sometimes, God has to do that with His gems, too. But remember these two things: God made you, and He said that you are the most valuable of everything He ever made. God knows exactly where you are. Nobody around you might recognize that you are a real gem, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t one. The real you is inside of you. And nobody can change your value.
    “God and I think you are a real treasure. And do you know where I keep my real treasures? I keep them real close to my heart—and that’s where you belong!”
