  • LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: The Prayer Responsibility 8/26 Wednesday Wisdom
If you don't take time to pray, you are losing out.
You can't say that you have no responsibility in the prayer life, for you have.
To see a need is to have a call to prayer.
There are people who will be utterly lost unless you take your place.
Unless you do your part, men will cry against you through eternity.
You can't plead that you have too mcuh work to do. You can pray while you work.
You can't put up the plea that you do not know how; you can learn if you wish.
For you to disobey the prayer call is for you to disobey the call of your Father.
The prayer responsibility today is the most important thing of our lives.

  • REPROBATE: WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL?

These questions were asked today: "What is a reprobate? What's so bad about being a reprobate?"

First of all, let's define the term: depraved; morally corrupt; rejected by God. So, what's the big deal? Glad you asked:
    * You don't know you're a reprobate because the Holy Spirit never again convicts you of your sin and of your need for a Savior.
    * There's no coming back to a place of repentance, again because you're never convicted.
    * You live the rest of your life thinking that everything is okay between you & God, but it's not. You're actually on your way to hell, and there's nothing you can do about it.

So, what's the takeaway for us who are born again, who desire to have a Godly influence on others? Whenever you encounter someone who is very cold (or even hostile) toward the Gospel, warn them that they may have already crossed a line. And then plead with them to lose sleep over their eternal state, and call out to Jesus for mercy. We're not God, so we can't say if someone has gone too far, but we can warn them about the cliff they're headed to.

  • Why do Christians ignore the fact that there are many people named Jesus?
We don’t ignore it. It’s actually of no consequence because there are many people named James, John, Peter, Andrew, etc. The important thing is that there is only one person known as Jesus Christ, because He’s the only Messiah - the only Savior. His name - Jesus Christ - is above every other name, and at that name, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus (Christ) is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. This stuff isn’t hard. Stop complicating the issue. Of course, the reason people do this is to avoid getting to the heart of the matter, which is this: have I believed in and trusted in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of my sins, so that I can be put in right-standing with God the Father? That’s the issue!

  • When someone says they’re Evangelical, what does that mean? Is it an entirely different sect of Christianity?
    (1) To be evangelical simply means that evangelism is a priority in your personal life and in the life of the church of which you’re a member. Evangelism is the intentional proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, primarily to those who’ve never heard, in order to give them an opportunity to believe & repent and be saved.

    (2) It’s the segment of orthodox Christianity that is most aligned with the first-century church. Just read the entire books of Acts, and you’ll see that the first-century church was constantly engaged in evangelism efforts. This is the heart of God the Father and Jesus - to seek and save the lost. It’s why Jesus came.

  • Why can’t non-Christians talk to Jesus?
Because they’re not connected to God the Father…because they haven’t believed on the One who God the Father sent. And the only way to connect to God the Father is to believe in (to trust in and rely upon) the One He sent, His only begotten (unique one-of-a-kind) Son. And to believe in Jesus is to believe that His voluntary, sacrificial, vicarious, atoning death on the cross is the only provision for my sin problem - in other words, Jesus’ death on the cross is the only way for me to be forgiven of my sin and to be put in right-standing with God the Father. So, since non-Christians haven’t done this, they’re not connected to God the Father; therefore God the Father does not hear their prayers. But if they’ll humble themselves and cry out for mercy and ask for forgiveness, God WILL hear that prayer.

  • Matthew 22:11-14 NIV “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

God morning and praise God. I hope you are blessed and having a great morning.

Long ago in the East, a host of a banquet would provide special garments to his invited guests. These were to his own honor and pride. He would therefore expect all his invited guests to be in that specific attire. Do you think he would allow them who refused to be in his probably expensive, clean and beautiful attire to remain in the banquet? Won't that be a great dishonor to him having spent alot only for someone to participate wearing his or her own garment of choice?

Jesus Christ uses this to illustrate how it will be for those who accepted Him but wants to do it under their own terms. Those who want to remain in sin but also in Christ. Those who accepted the Gospel but have willingly refused to be transformed by it. They want to be luke warm, not cold not hot. They want to love Jesus by their own lips whilst their actions shows otherwise. Those who have refused to bear fruit of Spirit but instead are bearing fruits of flesh.

In another place the Bible describes them this way Romans 1:21 NIV "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. "

Gospel is tranformartive but to those who genuinely accept it and from henceforth take-up their cross and follow Jesus. You cannot tell us you belong to Jesus but also to your old sinful nature. You cannot belong to light and darkness at the same time. Gospel is nothing about mingling with crowd but rather a deep personal relationship with God. It is about true repentance, faith and submission to the ways of God. It is nothing about following your church traditions and what not but rather a deep relationship of submission and obedience to God.

The end of those that are lukewarm is clear. They will be cast out of God's presence at the judgement day. Matthew 7:23 NIV Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Brethren, be among the chosen not just those who accepted invitation. It'll be very painful if you wasted all your time lying on salvation. Make it true today through true and genuine repentance and it's tranformartive power.

God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom.

  • A WARNING TO REPENT BEFORE JUDGEMENT
    Revelation 2 Kullie Mawolo
[vs: 16] Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
This verse is a solemn warning to the church that have allowed false teachers and doctrines among them , Christ therefore calls them to repentance before judgement comes.
*Repent: Christ is not merely asking them to feel sorry for what they have done but to turn away from their sins and return in obedience to God
2*or else I will come unto thee quickly.
God patience with the sinner should not be mistaken for approval of their evil, if his call to repentance is persistently refused  his judgement will certainly fall on the unrepentant.
3"1 will fight against them : when any church or a so called Christian persist in falsehood , compromise and sin they place themselves in opposition to Christ and risk his wrath .
4*with the sword of my mouth: Christ judges with his word just as he saves us  by faith in his word, those who refuse to obey his loving plea to repent will be judged and condemned by his word  at last.
    *Key truths:
1*False  doctrines  leads to sin and compromise and attracts divine judgement .
2, The only escape from God's judgement is repentance from all known sin.
3*There is mercy and forgiveness from God for every one who repents
