  • GLORIOUS SUNDAY SERMON OF
    7TH DECEMBER 2025

    LESSON: Romans 8:35-39

    TOPIC:
    HOPE THAT OUTLIVES THE NIGHT!

    TEXT:
.......Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5b (NKJV).

    INTRODUCTION:
Nigeria feels like a land walking through a valley with bruised feet. Villages emptied. Christians hunted. Families sitting beside shallow graves. And yet, in the middle of this choking darkness, Scripture whispers a stubborn truth: “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” It almost feels unfair to say…
Yet, it has remained true across generations.
Be abundantly blessed by the word in Jesus name!

    EXPOSITION:
[1] THE NIGHT IS REAL, BUT IT IS NOT SOVEREIGN.
Sometimes believers feel guilty for admitting pain, but Jesus Himself said, “In this world you will have tribulation” John 16:33. The night is not imaginary. It bleeds. It disrupts. It shakes faith. But it is not sovereign. Darkness does not own the clock. God does. Lamentations 3:22–23 reminds us that His mercies “are new every morning.” Morning is not controlled by terrorists, wicked rulers, or persecutors. Morning is a divine appointment.

[2] GOD STORES TEARS, BUT HE NEVER WASTES THEM.
David said, “You put my tears into Your bottle” Psalm 56:8. That means God is not indifferent to the agony of Christians in Nigeria. Every widow’s cry. Every displaced family. Every prayer whispered in fear. Pain is never wasted in His hands. Romans 8:28 is not a cliché… “All things work together for good.” It may not look like it now, but God is molding a testimony that will outlive the night.

[3] MORNING COMES QUIETLY, BUT IT COMES SURELY
Sometimes we expect morning to arrive with fireworks. But God often works like the dawn… slow, steady, impossible to stop. Psalm 46:5 says, “God will help her, and that right early.” Even when the night feels endless, heaven is already shifting things. Deliverance starts long before we see the sun. Nigeria will not remain in this valley. The Church has survived worse through history and always emerged stronger.

    CONCLUSION:
The night we see now is not the prophecy of our end. God’s promise stands taller than our fears. Morning may look delayed, but it cannot be denied. So, in the midst of persecution, hold fast to God's promise—your night of tears is temporary; dawn brings unshakeable, unquenchable, victorious! joy!

    SHORT PRAYER:
Lord, strengthen every persecuted believer in Nigeria. Let Your justice roll like waters. Surround Your people with protection, restore what has been stolen, and let the morning of peace rise over our land. Amen.

    HAPPY VICTORIOUS SUNDAY
    HAVE A TRIUMPHANT WEEK.

THIS WEEK, YOU ARE A SUPER WINNER!
    SHALOM.

    JESUS LOVES YOU; AND,
    HE TRULY CARES FOR YOU.

JOY IN THE MORNING OR NOT!
    JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN!!
REPENT AND BE READY FOR HIM!!!

    Theme: Dressed in Joy
    Series: Laughter and Victory

    Scripture:
“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.” — Psalm 30:11 (NIV)

    Devotional Message: Dressed in Joy
When God steps in, sorrow gives way to celebration. David’s words in this Psalm remind us that God is the Master of transformation — He changes pain into praise and mourning into music. Life can bring seasons that feel heavy and dark, but God never allows His children to remain in sadness forever. He removes the garments of sorrow and clothes us with the beauty of joy.

Notice the words “You turned” and “You clothed.” It means the change didn’t come from David’s strength — it came from God’s mercy. This is what makes divine joy so powerful: it’s not based on what we feel, but on what God does. When He touches your situation, your tears begin to dance and your story begins to shine.

No matter what season you are in today, remember that joy is your portion in Christ. The same God who turned David’s mourning into dancing can turn your trials into triumphs. He doesn’t just remove the pain — He replaces it with laughter, victory, and celebration.

    1. God Turns Pain Into Praise
“You turned my wailing into dancing.” — Psalm 30:11
God doesn’t waste your tears. Every tear you’ve cried becomes a seed for the joy He’s preparing.

    2. Joy Is a Gift, Not a Feeling
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” — Nehemiah 8:10
Real joy doesn’t depend on your situation. It flows from God’s presence and His promises.

    3. Dance in Advance
“Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5
You can start rejoicing before the answer comes, because victory is already written in your favor.

    Today’s Reminder:
God is changing your outfit — from sackcloth to celebration. You are no longer dressed in pain, fear, or shame. You are clothed with joy, peace, and victory. Walk like someone who knows the Lord has done it!

    Prayer Point:
Father, thank You for turning my sorrow into joy. Take away every heaviness and cover me with Your peace and gladness. Teach me to dance in faith, laugh in hope, and live in victory every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    🗣 Declaration of Faith:
God has turned my mourning into dancing.
My heart is clothed with joy and filled with victory.
Every dark season is over — my morning has come.
Today, I walk in laughter, joy, and unshakable faith!
