It’s a bold, unique look at history through a spiritual lens When I first picked up Why The White Man Rules (An Apology) by Nathaniel Leonard Jackson Jr., I wasn't quite sure what I was getting into. The title definitely catches your attention, but it tackles a huge, heavy question: why have Western and European nations held so much global power and wealth throughout history? Instead of giving a standard history lesson or political breakdown, Jackson approaches everything from a completely biblical angle. He argues that Western dominance isn't an accident or a matter of racial superiority, but rather God fulfilling His ancient promises to the lost tribes of Israel. The book is split into eight chapters, and Jackson walks you through his thoughts step by step. Right away in Chapter 1, "The Unsettling Truth," he clears up a big detail: he’s using the word "apology" in the old-school literary sense, meaning a formal defence rather than actually apologising for anything. The middle of the book really digs into scripture. "Promises, Promises...", was the part that kept me reading. Jackson traces the birthright blessings from Abraham, down through Isaac and Jacob, and eventually to Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh. He points to passages like Deuteronomy 33, which describes Joseph's descendants as a "fruitful bough" pushed out to the ends of the earth. Seeing how he connects those Old Testament lines about becoming a "great nation" and a "multitude of nations" to the rise of modern Western powers was definitely a perspective I hadn't come across before. Toward the end, in chapters like "Nothing but the Blood" and "The Two Camps," he shifts to the New Testament, looking at how Jesus's sacrifice ties into all of this and asking the reader to focus on spiritual faith rather than worldly drama. Even if you don't agree with every conclusion he draws, Jackson puts a lot of detail into his scripture study. It’s a bold, unique look at history through a spiritual lens that gives you plenty to think about after you put it down.

RUN YOUR RACE WITH YOUR EYES ON JESUS! Don’t Let the Weight Stop You From Reaching the Finish Line! Scripture : “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”— Hebrews 12:1–2 Thought Of The Day... There comes a time in our walk with God when we have to ask ourselves a serious question: What am I carrying that God never told me to carry? Hebrews 12 tells us that the Christian life is like a race. But this is not a sprint. It is a race that requires faith, endurance, discipline, patience, and focus. The writer says: “Let us lay aside every weight…” Notice that the Bible distinguishes between a weight and sin. Everything weighing you down may not necessarily be sinful, but it still may be keeping you from running effectively. Some weights are fear. Some weights are disappointment. Some weights are unforgiveness. Some weights are people’s opinions. Some weights are past failures. Some weights are relationships that constantly drain your spirit. Some weights are worry about things you cannot control. And sometimes we are asking God to give us strength to carry something when God is saying: “I NEVER TOLD YOU TO CARRY IT. LAY IT DOWN!” First Peter 5:7 says: “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” You cannot run freely while trying to carry yesterday’s pain, tomorrow’s worries, and today’s responsibilities all at the same time. Some things have to be laid at the feet of Jesus. LAY ASIDE THE SIN THAT EASILY BESETS YOU Hebrews does not stop with the weights. It says: “…and the sin which doth so easily beset us…” There are some things we need God to carry, but there are other things we need to repent of and put away. David prayed in Psalm 139:23–24: “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me…” We cannot ask God to bless what He has told us to surrender. We cannot run toward destiny while deliberately holding onto something that keeps pulling us backward. Sometimes spiritual growth requires us to say: “Lord, show me ME.” Not my neighbor. Not my spouse. Not my family. Not the people at church. ME! Show me what needs to change. Show me what needs to go. Show me what I need to surrender. Because I don't want anything interfering with the race You have placed before me. RUN THE RACE GOD SET BEFORE YOU The Scripture says: “…let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Notice it says “the race that is set before us.” You don't have to run somebody else's race. You don't have to compete with somebody else's calling. You don't have to compare your chapter three with somebody else's chapter twenty. Galatians 6:4 says: “But let every man prove his own work…” God has given you a race. Your assignment may be different. Your journey may be different. Your timing may be different. Your obstacles may be different. And your testimony may be different. Stop looking at how quickly somebody else seems to be moving and trust what God is doing in your life. YOU ARE NOT CALLED TO OUTRUN OTHER PEOPLE. YOU ARE CALLED TO FINISH YOUR RACE FAITHFULLY! RUN WITH PATIENCE This may be one of the hardest parts. “…run with patience…” We want God to do it now. We want the prayer answered now. We want the door opened now. We want the healing now. We want the breakthrough now. We want the situation changed now. But sometimes God develops us while we are waiting for what He promised us. Isaiah 40:31 declares: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength…” Patience does not mean you have stopped believing. Patience means: “God, even though I haven't seen it yet, I still trust You.” When you're tired—keep running. When you're disappointed—keep running. When people misunderstand you—keep running. When prayers seem unanswered—keep running. When you cannot see the finish line—keep running. Why? Because God never promised that the race would always be easy. But He promised that He would be with you. KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS Hebrews 12:2 gives us the secret: “Looking unto Jesus…” Your strength will not come from constantly looking at the problem. Your peace will not come from constantly looking at people. Your confidence will not come from constantly looking at circumstances. LOOK TO JESUS! Peter learned this lesson when he walked on water. Matthew 14:29–30 tells us Peter stepped out of the boat and walked toward Jesus. But when he focused on the wind, fear entered and he began to sink. The storm was already there when Peter stepped out. The difference was where Peter was looking. As long as his attention was directed toward Jesus, he was walking through something that should have overwhelmed him. But when his focus shifted from Christ to the crisis, fear began taking over. And somebody needs to hear this today: DON'T LET WHAT IS AROUND YOU BECOME BIGGER THAN THE JESUS WHO IS BEFORE YOU! JESUS IS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER Hebrews calls Jesus: “…the author and finisher of our faith.” If Jesus is the Author, He knows your story. If Jesus is the Finisher, He knows how your story ends. Philippians 1:6 says: “He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” God did not bring you this far just to abandon you halfway through the race. There are still chapters God is writing. There are still prayers God is answering. There are still doors God can open. There are still people God wants you to impact. There is still purpose in you. So don't quit because you're tired. Don't quit because it became difficult. Don't quit because somebody walked away. Don't quit because things didn't happen according to your timetable. LAY ASIDE THE WEIGHT. TURN AWAY FROM THE SIN. STOP COMPARING YOUR RACE. RUN WITH PATIENCE. KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS. And when your strength gets low, remember: THE SAME JESUS WHO CALLED YOU TO THE RACE WILL GIVE YOU THE GRACE TO FINISH IT! PRAYER... Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, thank You for reminding us that we are not running this race alone. Lord, reveal every weight that has been slowing us down. Help us release fear, worry, disappointment, bitterness, unforgiveness, painful memories, and every burden You never intended us to carry. Search our hearts, O God. Reveal every sin that easily besets us, and give us the courage to repent, surrender, and walk in obedience. When we become tired, strengthen us. When we become discouraged, encourage us. When we become distracted, redirect our eyes toward Jesus. When we cannot understand what You are doing, give us faith to trust You anyway. Help us stop comparing our journey with others and faithfully run the race You have personally placed before us. We declare that our past will not stop us, our problems will not defeat us, distractions will not derail us, and discouragement will not cause us to quit. Our eyes are on Jesus—the Author and Finisher of our faith! Give us grace to run. Give us patience to endure. Give us strength to continue. And give us faith to finish. Because God made us, we didn’t make Him. A god you can make is a god you can control and make do whatever you wish. The ancient Greeks had a host of gods, all created by men. Some demanded human sacrifice; others permitted prostitution and even promoted it in their temples. When we reverse the order and start to create God in our own image (according to our own imagination) we get the following things: 1) A god who’s liberal or conservative, a hawk or a dove; a god politicians conveniently pull out of a box at election time to gain votes even though they don’t truly serve him. 2) A flexible god who permits you to do whatever you want, and you can then say, ‘I just felt led to do it.’ 3) A god who promises to bless his children but never discipline them. 4) A god you can ‘keep in his place’ until you need him. 5) A god who is not supreme but happy to be one of many deities offering many ways to heaven. Not so! God says, ‘I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no saviour.’ Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’ (John 14:6 NKJV). But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul"_ (Hebrews 10:38,39). *INTRODUCTION* 40 years have passed now when they left Egypt with great joy and hope coupled with triumph over the oppressive and terrorizing Egyptians. Little did they know the challenges that will greet them on the way. A few days journey from Kadesh to Jordan turned to 40 years. All the adults, except Caleb and Joshua, who left Egypt died without reaching the promised Canaan. Unfortunately, Moses, their faithful leader, including their high priest Aaron, and Miriam the Women Leader were painfully casualties. They just finished mourning Moses for 30 days. That was not their plan and expectations when they left Egypt. However, they must move on and enter the land of promise after all those setbacks. This takes courage and faith in God. The Christian life is similar especially, when the heart is not sanctified. Starting with the indescribable Joy of Salvation, the journey to heaven began. But unexpectedly, along the way, there are battles to fight, divine disciplines to endure and challenges meant to perfect that will be experienced. Those experiences and setbacks should not becloud our forward march to heaven; we must keep moving on until we enter the promised heaven. The Apostles were said to be *"Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom"* (Acts 14:22). *1. The Command to be Observed with Unwavering Faith* a. Joshua commanded the captains to *"Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals"*. Some people who willingly obey the commandments in their work places, public transports, whether land, air or sea, deride commandments when it comes from God through church leaders or shepherds. Some refused or stopped going to church because of their hate for commandments. They often talk of human rights, human free will etc when commandments are given by God through His ministers. The truth is that no man, no matter how wise or intelligent, can live happily or successfully in the world without learning to listen to instructions or commandments and follow them in every sphere of life. The Word of God is filled with instructions and commandment because none can claim to know the correct and fulfilling routes in life when he has never passed through it. Human security, safety, fulfillment and joy are tied to the ability to hear, listen and obey godly instructions and commandments. The 'dos' and 'don'ts' of the Word of God, which carnal minds reject, are actually, the path way to a happy and fulfilling life. b. Moses, their Prophet par excellence who used to see and hear from God directly was gone. Yet they did not idolize Moses that since Moses was gone all hope was lost. Their confidence was in God without any cult personality. True believers should not see any of their leaders as a cult personality to idolize. Cult personality in the household of faith is carnality and idol worship in action. Any God-given leader at any time should be obeyed and followed because it is the commandment of God and His Word that matters most and not the human vessel. Israel lost nothing as a result of the death of Moses. The same God who moved mightily in Moses also moved greatly in Joshua that Israel never regretted the death of Moses. The Command of Joshua was military in nature, but obeying it will require courage and faith. *"Within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it"*. Looking back, many souls have died without receiving the promise. Looking forward to Jordan that it would take a great miracle like it happened in the Red Sea before they could pass. However, Joshua gave the commandment as if the Jordan challenge was not there. Israel also did not raise alarm about the humanly impassable Jordan. They all jointly and unitedly believed God that crossing was a done deal since it was God who commanded and God had done it before. We must move on by faith to the hope set before us with courage. Since God has promised to take us to heaven, no need to fear the assault of persistent temptations, the murmurs of persecutions and afflictions, the threat of marital and career setbacks and the cruel dread of principalities and power. Just move on in obedience and faith according to His Word and be sure you will land on the other side of the river. *Question* Have you decided to continue the journey to the end no matter the challenges on the way? *2.Care to be Offered to the Unsettled Families* a. The Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh were given their land and possession before they crossed the Jordan River. Now that the soldiers of those tribes were settled, it was tempting for them to quit the journey and go to their rest. Moses settled that need for genuine brotherly love before he died. Joshua recalled that because he knew that the commandment of God does not die with the vessel that God used to declare it. He said, *"Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land"*. The vulnerable were to stay behind in the promised land while their soldiers joined the remaining Israelites to fight the Canaanites. There was no rest for them until their brethren had rest. Obeying that would require faith and a golden caring heart. First, who would protect those vulnerable two and half tribes when all their soldiers leave them behind? David did that for his wives and vulnerable followers in Ziklag and the Amalekites overran the wives and carried away everything belonging to them. Was that commandment of Moses reasonable? It was reasonable since it was given by God. It was reasonable because faith in God would not be disappointed. It was reasonable because the law of love is stronger than the law of self protection. This is the lesson for us as to how God works. b. *"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill ye the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2). Any law, policy or principle that does not visibly reflect the care and love for one another in the family, church and among neighbours is not of God no matter how the world exalts it. Practical and sacrificial care for one another is the hall mark of Christianity. When that is missing, the Christian faith is not different from other religions. Believers should lighten burdens of others, wiping off bitter tears, relieving the oppressed, putting the balm of Gilead in the troubled souls in addition to assisting and supporting others through prayer. Selfishness, self interest, self protection, self respect, etc.are being imported into the church as wisdom, but they are not Christlike. *"Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others"* (Philippians 2:4). This is a commandment. *Question* Are you practically bearing others burdens or are you hypocritically selfish? *3. Consecration to Obedience and Unity by the Faithful* a. Christian consecration is the solemn act of setting apart a person, place or thing from ordinary, secular use and dedicating it entirely to God and holy purposes. This includes consecration to do and obey the Word of God. It is difficult in these last days of superficial christianity and devotion to deliberately, doggedly and determinedly stick to the Word of God without definite consecrations. When it comes to unity among brethren, many things often threaten unity and it takes consecration with godly unity in order to ensure the unity of the saints. This is needful because the victory, the blessings and divine visitations on a people are tightly connected to unity. Unity must be encouraged and enforced in order to enjoy God's bests. *"Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the body of peace"*. We must preach it, pray for it, practice it and pass it on to the future generations. Would the Holy Spirit have descended on the Early Church if they were not united in the Upper Room? If the Trinity is not united, what would the world look like? *"And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go"*. It takes deliberate consecration to God to obey all the commandments of God without complaining. It takes consecration to follow a man of like passion wholeheartedly. Consecrations are milestones to spiritual maturity and profitability in the hands of God. Spiritual growth into higher ground is all about making higher consecrations and working it out through the grace of God. *Question* What are the irreversible consecrations you have made to God so far? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, give me power and faith, with courage, to keep moving on until I land in the heavenly Canaan land and let me not fall by the way side 🙏. 2.Make me an agent of unity and let the Spirit of unity and obedience reign in the midst of Your children. 3.Give me more love to bear one another's burdens and cleanse my heart from all forms of selfishness 🙏. 4.Help all Your children to be given to deeper consecrations🙏. *HYMN:* Arise O youth of God *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* HABAKKUK 1-3. Reuben Anderson, an American, told a story of an engineer who was confined to bed because his lower limbs were paralysed from a serious accident. Because of his reputation for great skill, he was asked to design and prepare the blueprints for a great suspension bridge. After many months, his plans were completed and placed in the hands of those who were to be in charge of the bridge's construction. After a considerable period, the construction was completed. The engineer was brought on his bed to the scene of the beautiful bridge spanning the wide river. As he watched for the first time as cars sped over the bridge, and as he looked at the blueprints which he held in his hands, tears began to fill his eyes, and he cried out, "It's just like the plan; it's just like the plan." Undoubtedly, the sense of accomplishment brought tears of joy to the eyes of the intelligent and fulfilled engineer. His good works serve humanity! What a lesson! We must live to add value to others.* *Today's passage centres on the preparation of Israel to go in and possess the Promised Land under the able leadership of Joshua, the son of Nun, the commander of the army of Israel after the death of Moses. This time, they were on the verge of entering Canaan. Strategically, he told the army to prepare, and he reminded the three tribes: Reuben, Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh of their promise to Moses that they would cross the River Jordan and fight alongside the nine and the half tribes until they possessed their inheritance before returning to settle on the east side of Jordan. The tribal leaders affirmed their commitment and promised to follow Joshua as they followed Moses, irrespective of the challenges ahead.* *The salient lesson here include the unity among the tribes, cooperation with the leader, and Joshua's uncompromising, indefatigable leadership style that gave Israel the edge. As a result, the nation won battles, conquered adversaries, and possessed the Promised Land.* *Families, churches, societies and nations that desire victory in life's battles and challenges must follow the same pattern. Beyond earthly victories and possessions, there is an enduring possession in heaven for the saints of God. KEEP THY HEAR A Tender Heart Is a Wise Heart ANCHOR SCRIPTURE Proverbs 28:14 (KJV) “Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.” 1. FEAR GOD Honour God, respect His Word and follow His instructions. A heart that respects God is guided by wisdom. 2. DON'T HARDEN YOUR HEART A hardened heart rejects correction and refuses to learn. Stubbornness can take you where wisdom would have protected you. 3. STAY TEACHABLE Be willing to listen, accept correction and change when you are wrong. Daily Bible Lesson. CAN BEAUTY BECOME A LIE? THE HIDDEN DANGERS OF ARTIFICIAL BEAUTY, AND THE BEAUTY CHRIST WANTS TO CREATE. “Thou shalt not bear false witness.” — Exodus 20:16 We usually think a lie must be spoken. But can deception also be displayed? A complexion made to appear different. Artificial lashes presented as natural. Artificial nails. Artificial hair. Filters that create another face. An appearance deliberately designed to make the artificial appear real. Here is the searching question: IF GOD REQUIRES TRUTH FROM OUR LIPS—DOES HE ALSO CARE ABOUT THE TRUTH OUR APPEARANCE COMMUNICATES? God is not against beauty. HE CREATED BEAUTY. But Scripture directs us away from making outward appearance our treasure and toward something cosmetics can never manufacture: THE BEAUTY OF A CHRIST-TRANSFORMED CHARACTER. --- ① WHEN APPEARANCE IS USED TO DECEIVE, TRUTHFULNESS IS AT STAKE “Putting away lying, speak every man truth.” — Ephesians 4:25 Falsehood is not merely pronouncing an untrue sentence. We can misrepresent ourselves by intentionally creating a false impression. So before the mirror, ask: “AM I SIMPLY BEING CLEAN AND PRESENTABLE—OR AM I TRYING TO MAKE SOMETHING ARTIFICIAL APPEAR NATURALLY MINE?” Scripture does not specifically say, “makeup and wigs violate the Ninth Commandment.” The biblical principle is broader and deeper: WHEN APPEARANCE IS INTENTIONALLY USED TO DECEIVE, THE PRINCIPLE OF TRUTHFULNESS IS AT STAKE. And context matters. A wig used because of illness, hair loss, protection, or genuine practical need should not automatically be branded dishonest. God wants truth not merely upon our lips— “Thou desirest truth in the inward parts.” — Psalm 51:6 --- ② MAKEUP CAN COVER A BLEMISH—BUT IT CANNOT CREATE BEAUTY OF CHARACTER Peter redirects our attention: “Let it be the hidden man of the heart… even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit.” — 1 Peter 3:4 Paul adds: “In modest apparel… with good works.” — 1 Timothy 2:9–10 God moves beauty: FROM DISPLAY → TO CHARACTER. FROM VANITY → TO MODESTY. FROM HUMAN APPLAUSE → TO GOD'S APPROVAL. FROM MAGNIFYING SELF → TO REVEALING CHRIST. No foundation can produce purity. No lipstick can create kindness. No artificial lashes can produce humility. No wig can manufacture contentment. No filter can create holiness. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FACE CANNOT COMPENSATE FOR AN UNCONVERTED HEART. “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.” — Proverbs 31:30 --- ③ ARTIFICIAL BEAUTY CAN QUIETLY TEACH THE HEART: “THE REAL YOU IS NOT ENOUGH” Cover this. Lengthen that. Darken this. Lighten that. Change the hair. Reshape the face. Hide every imperfection. And tomorrow— BUY SOMETHING ELSE. Eventually the danger becomes bigger than cosmetics. The mirror begins preaching: “GOD'S WORKMANSHIP IS NOT ENOUGH.” But Scripture answers: “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14 Your deepest question is not: “Am I attractive enough for people?” It is: “AM I BECOMING LIKE JESUS?” --- ④ THERE ARE REAL PHYSICAL RISKS—BEAUTY PRODUCTS ARE NOT AUTOMATICALLY HARMLESS Science requires honesty. Not every cosmetic is dangerous, and many properly formulated products are safely used by most people. But cosmetic does not mean risk-free. Dermatology recognizes both irritant and allergic contact dermatitis from cosmetic ingredients. Fragrances, preservatives, hair dyes, resins and adhesives can trigger reactions in susceptible people. Products used around the eyes may cause irritation or allergy; contaminated eye cosmetics can contribute to infection. False-eyelash adhesives can also provoke irritation or allergic reactions. Hair dyes and some products used with artificial hair can likewise expose sensitive skin to allergens. So the Christian principle of health asks: “Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19 WHY ADD AN UNNECESSARY EXPOSURE SIMPLY TO CREATE AN APPEARANCE? BEAUTY SHOULD NEVER BE PURCHASED AT THE EXPENSE OF HEALTH. And cosmetics cannot permanently reproduce what sleep, nourishing food, exercise, cleanliness, sunlight, temperance and healthful living help cultivate naturally. THE HEALTHIEST GLOW CANNOT BE PAINTED ON. --- ⑤ THE MENTAL DANGER MAY BE EVEN MORE SUBTLE The most dangerous mirror is the one that whispers: “DON'T LET THEM SEE THE REAL YOU.” When we feel unable to leave home without enhancement… when compliments determine our worth… when comparison controls our happiness… when we repeatedly inspect perceived flaws… when appearance consumes excessive money, thought, time and emotional energy— THE OUTWARD IMAGE HAS BEGUN TO GOVERN THE INWARD PERSON. Research on appearance-focused media repeatedly links appearance comparison and exposure to idealized or heavily edited images with increased body dissatisfaction and related psychological distress. The gospel offers another identity: YOUR VALUE IS NOT MEASURED BY A MIRROR. It was demonstrated at CALVARY. “Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things… But with the precious blood of Christ.” — 1 Peter 1:18–19 YOUR FACE DOES NOT DETERMINE YOUR WORTH. THE PRICE CHRIST PAID REVEALS YOUR WORTH TO HIM. --- ⑥ VANITY CAN BECOME EXPENSIVE IN MORE WAYS THAN MONEY Ask what artificial beauty may consume: MONEY that could bless others. TIME that could be invested in prayer, family and service. THOUGHT that could dwell upon eternal things. CONTENTMENT through constant comparison. SIMPLICITY through dependence upon fashion. HEALTH when unnecessary products cause reactions. And potentially— SPIRITUAL ATTENTION, when the question becomes “How do I look?” more often than “How does Christ look through my life?” “Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” — Matthew 6:21 That makes this deeply personal: HOW MUCH OF MY PEACE DEPENDS UPON HOW PEOPLE SEE ME? --- ⑦ WHY CHOOSE NATURAL CHRISTIAN SIMPLICITY? Not because neglect is holy. Not because attractiveness is sinful. Not because everyone who wears makeup is vain. And certainly not because Christians should police another person's face. Choose simplicity because it can help cultivate something better: TRUTH instead of artificial impression. CONTENTMENT instead of comparison. HEALTH instead of needless exposure. MODESTY instead of display. STEWARDSHIP instead of unnecessary expense. FREEDOM instead of dependence upon appearance. CHRIST instead of self at the center. Ellen White wrote: “God is the author of all beauty.” Christian simplicity therefore does not mean: “MAKE YOURSELF UNATTRACTIVE.” It means: STOP LETTING THE WORLD DECIDE WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL. Be clean. Be neat. Be healthy. Be modest. Be appropriately dressed. Be beautifully Christlike. BUT NEVER LET FASHION BECOME YOUR MASTER OR APPEARANCE BECOME YOUR IDENTITY. --- ⑧ THE GREATEST DANGER IS SPIRITUAL We can spend an hour preparing the person everyone sees— and minutes preparing the person GOD SEES. Correct the complexion— while leaving anger untouched. Arrange the hair— while neglecting prayer. Perfect the outward appearance— while tolerating pride. Cover blemishes— while hiding cherished sin. Then Jesus takes us past the mirror: “Cleanse first that which is within.” — Matthew 23:26 CHRIST DID NOT DIE TO GIVE US A BETTER MASK. HE DIED TO GIVE US A NEW HEART. “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” — Psalm 51:10 **HEAVEN IS NOT PREPARING FACES FOR DISPLAY. HEAVEN IS PREPARING CHARACTERS FOR ETERNITY.** --- ⑨ BEFORE THE MIRROR—ASK SEVEN QUESTIONS Is it truthful? Is it modest? Is it necessary? Is it healthful? Is it good stewardship? Am I content with how God made me? Does it help reveal Christ—or magnify self? Christianity does not merely ask: “WHAT CAN I GET AWAY WITH?” Love asks: “Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?” — Acts 9:6 --- CHRIST OFFERS WHAT THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY NEVER CAN Makeup can change a complexion. Artificial hair can change an appearance. A filter can change a photograph. BUT ONLY JESUS CAN CHANGE THE PERSON. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 He replaces— vanity with humility, comparison with contentment, insecurity with identity in Him, self-display with modesty, falsehood with truth. This is not permission to ridicule women, condemn those dealing with hair loss, or judge another person's heart by appearance. REFORM WITHOUT CHRIST BECOMES CONDEMNATION. REFORM THROUGH CHRIST BECOMES TRANSFORMATION. Bring Him the insecurity. Bring Him the vanity. Bring Him the craving for approval. BRING HIM THE MIRROR. “Beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, [we] are changed into the same image.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18 DON'T SPEND YOUR LIFE PERFECTING AN IMAGE THAT TIME WILL ERASE—WHILE NEGLECTING THE CHARACTER CHRIST WANTS TO PREPARE FOR ETERNITY. Every cosmetic eventually washes away. Every artificial enhancement is eventually laid aside. Youthful beauty fades. BUT THE BEAUTY CHRIST WRITES INTO THE CHARACTER CAN ENDURE FOREVER. LET THE FACE BE SIMPLE. LET THE LIFE BE BEAUTIFUL. LET THE HEART BE TRUE. LET THE CHARACTER REVEAL CHRIST. AND ABOVE EVERYTHING—LET JESUS BE SEEN.

Mephibosheth was only five when the news came that his father, Jonathan, and his grandfather, Saul, had died. In the confusion of that day, his nurse picked him up and fled. But she dropped him, and he became lame in both feet. Imagine growing up carrying a wound you did not cause. Imagine having to live with the consequences of a fall that was never your fault. Years passed, and Mephibosheth lived in Lo-debar, a place whose name itself speaks of barrenness. But one day, David called for him. And when Mephibosheth came before the king, he did not come with the confidence of a son of royalty. He came saying, “What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?” 2 Samuel 9:8 KJV Look at what pain had done to his language. He was the son of Jonathan. He belonged to a royal house. But his wound had taught him to see himself through the lens of his misfortune. Yet David restored to him what his wound had made him forget. He was still a son of the house. Sometimes life wounds you so deeply that you begin to introduce yourself by what happened to you rather than by who you are. But listen Your wound may explain your limp, but it must not define your identity. Mephibosheth could not change what happened to his feet, but he could change what he believed about his place at the king’s table. And perhaps this is the wisdom hidden in some wounds You may never change what happened, but you can decide what it will produce in you. Do not drink the bitterness of the wound. Drink the wisdom. Let the pain teach you compassion. Let disappointment teach you discernment. Let rejection teach you where your identity truly comes from. Let the scars remind you, not of what you survived, but of the grace that kept you. A wound can become a well of wisdom, but only if you refuse to drink from its bitterness. Travel light. *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - TUESDAY, 25TH AUGUST, 2026.* 🌟*ONLY BELIEVE!*🌟 📖 Scripture: “And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.” — Mark 5:37 (KJV) 🔥*Reflection – Stay Close to Jesus When Faith Is Tested* Mark 5:37 comes in the middle of the story of Jairus, whose daughter was critically ill. Jairus had come to Jesus believing that Jesus could help. But as they journeyed, the situation became even worse. Jesus strategically chose only Peter, James, and John among the twelve disciples to accompany Him as He continued toward Jairus' house. You may what to ask why the three among the twelve? This Show us that even among the elected or selected there are favourites and disciples who are more closer to Jesus than the others. Are you among the inner circle of Jesus? Immediately after this, Jesus would challenge the atmosphere of fear and unbelief with the powerful command: “Be not afraid, only believe.” — Mark 5:36 The lesson is powerful: when circumstances become more difficult, stay close to Jesus. There will be moments when circumstances appear to contradict what you have prayed for. There may be voices telling you that your situation is finished, your opportunity is gone, or your dream is impossible. But Jesus is still present. Today, choose carefully whose voice you listen to. Stay close to Christ. Let faith speak louder than fear, and let God's promises speak louder than discouraging reports. 🔊*Prophetic Declaration:* Today, I declare that I will remain close to Jesus Christ regardless of what happens around me. I shall not allow fear, bad reports, disappointment, or the opinions of people to separate me from my faith in God. I declare that when circumstances become difficult, my faith shall become stronger. When the situation appears impossible, I will remember that nothing is impossible with God. I reject every voice of hopelessness, fear, confusion, and discouragement that tells me to give up. I choose to listen to the voice of Jesus, who calls me to trust Him. Today, I declare faith over fear in every area of my life. I proclaim faith over my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, finances, plans, and destiny. May God's power and wisdom guide me through every difficult circumstance. I declare that no negative report shall become the final report over my life. I will not make permanent conclusions based on temporary circumstances. Today, I receive grace to wait for God's intervention even when I cannot see how He will make a way. I shall not run ahead of God because of fear, and I shall not abandon my faith because of delay. I will believe. Jesus has the final word over my situation.” 4️⃣ Guard your atmosphere: Be intentional about the voices, conversations, and content you allow to influence your faith. 5️⃣ Surrender one impossible situation: Give it completely to Jesus and refuse to carry it through anxiety. 6️⃣ Take one step of faith: Continue doing what God has placed in your hands, even if the final result is not yet visible. 7️⃣ End with worship: Thank God for His presence and trust Him with the outcome. 🔥*Prayer:* Heavenly Father, Thank You because You are greater than every situation I may face.
