As he seeks to understand God’s ways, the Lord answers him by inviting him not to live according to what he sees, but according to faith. Faith is choosing to look to God beyond circumstances. In Christ, we receive a hope that remains, even when everything is faltering. Living by faith means moving forward with confidence because God is faithful, even when we do not yet see the fulfillment of His promises. You are justified in Christ by the work He accomplished on the cross. You are righteous before God in Christ. So, entrust to God the matter that concerns you most. Refuse to let fear guide your decisions and choose to trust in His faithfulness. Lord Jesus, teach me to live each day by faith.
