The prophecies of the apocalypse being fulfilled in our days Jesus spoke about these days in the book of Matthew, when he was questioned by his disciples. Matthew 24 3. And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 6. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8. All these are the beginning of sorrows. The earth is about to receive the greatest revival — the work has already begun. But for this to happen, God will clean out the filth, the sin, with a firm hand upon the earth: he will bring down the mountains and raise up the valleys, so that his bride may be prepared and adorned to be received. The earth, however, will suffer, because human beings, when they have power and riches, push aside the One who created them. But man was made to worship his Creator. The children of God will march across the earth without opposition, carrying the gospel, until the coming of the son of perdition, who will come to persecute the children of God. 13. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

"THERE’S NOBODY LIKE HIM {1}" ‘I…am the Lord, and besides Me, there is no saviour.’ Isaiah 43:11 NKJV THE ISRAELITES were commanded not to make any ‘graven image’ of God. Why? Because God made us, we didn’t make Him. A god you can make is a god you can control and make do whatever you wish. The ancient Greeks had a host of gods, all created by men. Some demanded human sacrifice; others permitted prostitution and even promoted it in their temples. When we reverse the order and start to create God in our own image (according to our own imagination) we get the following things: 1) A god who’s liberal or conservative, a hawk or a dove; a god politicians conveniently pull out of a box at election time to gain votes even though they don’t truly serve him. 2) A flexible god who permits you to do whatever you want, and you can then say, ‘I just felt led to do it.’ 3) A god who promises to bless his children but never discipline them. 4) A god you can ‘keep in his place’ until you need him. 5) A god who is not supreme but happy to be one of many deities offering many ways to heaven. Not so! God says, ‘I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no saviour.’ Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’ (John 14:6 NKJV). Jesus doesn’t need a makeover to bring Him into alignment with the Internet and the space age. He is Lord! Indeed, if He is not Lord over all, He is not Lord at all! But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul"_ (Hebrews 10:38,39). *INTRODUCTION* 40 years have passed now when they left Egypt with great joy and hope coupled with triumph over the oppressive and terrorizing Egyptians. Little did they know the challenges that will greet them on the way. A few days journey from Kadesh to Jordan turned to 40 years. All the adults, except Caleb and Joshua, who left Egypt died without reaching the promised Canaan. Unfortunately, Moses, their faithful leader, including their high priest Aaron, and Miriam the Women Leader were painfully casualties. They just finished mourning Moses for 30 days. That was not their plan and expectations when they left Egypt. However, they must move on and enter the land of promise after all those setbacks. This takes courage and faith in God. The Christian life is similar especially, when the heart is not sanctified. Starting with the indescribable Joy of Salvation, the journey to heaven began. But unexpectedly, along the way, there are battles to fight, divine disciplines to endure and challenges meant to perfect that will be experienced. Those experiences and setbacks should not becloud our forward march to heaven; we must keep moving on until we enter the promised heaven. The Apostles were said to be *"Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom"* (Acts 14:22). *1. The Command to be Observed with Unwavering Faith* a. Joshua commanded the captains to *"Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals"*. Some people who willingly obey the commandments in their work places, public transports, whether land, air or sea, deride commandments when it comes from God through church leaders or shepherds. Some refused or stopped going to church because of their hate for commandments. They often talk of human rights, human free will etc when commandments are given by God through His ministers. The truth is that no man, no matter how wise or intelligent, can live happily or successfully in the world without learning to listen to instructions or commandments and follow them in every sphere of life. The Word of God is filled with instructions and commandment because none can claim to know the correct and fulfilling routes in life when he has never passed through it. Human security, safety, fulfillment and joy are tied to the ability to hear, listen and obey godly instructions and commandments. The 'dos' and 'don'ts' of the Word of God, which carnal minds reject, are actually, the path way to a happy and fulfilling life. b. Moses, their Prophet par excellence who used to see and hear from God directly was gone. Yet they did not idolize Moses that since Moses was gone all hope was lost. Their confidence was in God without any cult personality. True believers should not see any of their leaders as a cult personality to idolize. Cult personality in the household of faith is carnality and idol worship in action. Any God-given leader at any time should be obeyed and followed because it is the commandment of God and His Word that matters most and not the human vessel. Israel lost nothing as a result of the death of Moses. The same God who moved mightily in Moses also moved greatly in Joshua that Israel never regretted the death of Moses. The Command of Joshua was military in nature, but obeying it will require courage and faith. *"Within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it"*. Looking back, many souls have died without receiving the promise. Looking forward to Jordan that it would take a great miracle like it happened in the Red Sea before they could pass. However, Joshua gave the commandment as if the Jordan challenge was not there. Israel also did not raise alarm about the humanly impassable Jordan. They all jointly and unitedly believed God that crossing was a done deal since it was God who commanded and God had done it before. We must move on by faith to the hope set before us with courage. Since God has promised to take us to heaven, no need to fear the assault of persistent temptations, the murmurs of persecutions and afflictions, the threat of marital and career setbacks and the cruel dread of principalities and power. Just move on in obedience and faith according to His Word and be sure you will land on the other side of the river. *Question* Have you decided to continue the journey to the end no matter the challenges on the way? *2.Care to be Offered to the Unsettled Families* a. The Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh were given their land and possession before they crossed the Jordan River. Now that the soldiers of those tribes were settled, it was tempting for them to quit the journey and go to their rest. Moses settled that need for genuine brotherly love before he died. Joshua recalled that because he knew that the commandment of God does not die with the vessel that God used to declare it. He said, *"Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land"*. The vulnerable were to stay behind in the promised land while their soldiers joined the remaining Israelites to fight the Canaanites. There was no rest for them until their brethren had rest. Obeying that would require faith and a golden caring heart. First, who would protect those vulnerable two and half tribes when all their soldiers leave them behind? David did that for his wives and vulnerable followers in Ziklag and the Amalekites overran the wives and carried away everything belonging to them. Was that commandment of Moses reasonable? It was reasonable since it was given by God. It was reasonable because faith in God would not be disappointed. It was reasonable because the law of love is stronger than the law of self protection. This is the lesson for us as to how God works. b. *"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill ye the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2). Any law, policy or principle that does not visibly reflect the care and love for one another in the family, church and among neighbours is not of God no matter how the world exalts it. Practical and sacrificial care for one another is the hall mark of Christianity. When that is missing, the Christian faith is not different from other religions. Believers should lighten burdens of others, wiping off bitter tears, relieving the oppressed, putting the balm of Gilead in the troubled souls in addition to assisting and supporting others through prayer. Selfishness, self interest, self protection, self respect, etc.are being imported into the church as wisdom, but they are not Christlike. *"Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others"* (Philippians 2:4). This is a commandment. *Question* Are you practically bearing others burdens or are you hypocritically selfish? *3. Consecration to Obedience and Unity by the Faithful* a. Christian consecration is the solemn act of setting apart a person, place or thing from ordinary, secular use and dedicating it entirely to God and holy purposes. This includes consecration to do and obey the Word of God. It is difficult in these last days of superficial christianity and devotion to deliberately, doggedly and determinedly stick to the Word of God without definite consecrations. When it comes to unity among brethren, many things often threaten unity and it takes consecration with godly unity in order to ensure the unity of the saints. This is needful because the victory, the blessings and divine visitations on a people are tightly connected to unity. Unity must be encouraged and enforced in order to enjoy God's bests. *"Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the body of peace"*. We must preach it, pray for it, practice it and pass it on to the future generations. Would the Holy Spirit have descended on the Early Church if they were not united in the Upper Room? If the Trinity is not united, what would the world look like? *"And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go"*. It takes deliberate consecration to God to obey all the commandments of God without complaining. It takes consecration to follow a man of like passion wholeheartedly. Consecrations are milestones to spiritual maturity and profitability in the hands of God. Spiritual growth into higher ground is all about making higher consecrations and working it out through the grace of God. *Question* What are the irreversible consecrations you have made to God so far? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, give me power and faith, with courage, to keep moving on until I land in the heavenly Canaan land and let me not fall by the way side 🙏. 2.Make me an agent of unity and let the Spirit of unity and obedience reign in the midst of Your children. 3.Give me more love to bear one another's burdens and cleanse my heart from all forms of selfishness 🙏. 4.Help all Your children to be given to deeper consecrations🙏. *HYMN:* Arise O youth of God *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* HABAKKUK 1-3. The engineer was brought on his bed to the scene of the beautiful bridge spanning the wide river. As he watched for the first time as cars sped over the bridge, and as he looked at the blueprints which he held in his hands, tears began to fill his eyes, and he cried out, "It's just like the plan; it's just like the plan." Undoubtedly, the sense of accomplishment brought tears of joy to the eyes of the intelligent and fulfilled engineer. His good works serve humanity! What a lesson! We must live to add value to others.* *Today's passage centres on the preparation of Israel to go in and possess the Promised Land under the able leadership of Joshua, the son of Nun, the commander of the army of Israel after the death of Moses. This time, they were on the verge of entering Canaan. Strategically, he told the army to prepare, and he reminded the three tribes: Reuben, Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh of their promise to Moses that they would cross the River Jordan and fight alongside the nine and the half tribes until they possessed their inheritance before returning to settle on the east side of Jordan. The tribal leaders affirmed their commitment and promised to follow Joshua as they followed Moses, irrespective of the challenges ahead.* *The salient lesson here include the unity among the tribes, cooperation with the leader, and Joshua's uncompromising, indefatigable leadership style that gave Israel the edge. As a result, the nation won battles, conquered adversaries, and possessed the Promised Land.* *Families, churches, societies and nations that desire victory in life's battles and challenges must follow the same pattern. Beyond earthly victories and possessions, there is an enduring possession in heaven for the saints of God. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah, but David remained in Jerusalem. 2 One evening David got up from his bed and strolled around on the roof of the palace. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing—a very beautiful woman. 3 So David sent and inquired about the woman, and he was told, “This is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” 4 Then David sent messengers to get her, and when she came to him, he slept with her. (Now she had just purified herself from her uncleanness.) Then she returned home. 5 And the woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.” 6 At this, David sent orders to Joab: “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” So Joab sent him to David. 7 When Uriah came to him, David asked how Joab and the troops...

Fear is a clever adversary. When we think of fear, the first things that come to mind are old, decrepit Victorian mansions or abandoned houses fueled by stories of stories of swinging chandeliers or doors that creak open on their own. Or we might think of less dramatic fears: heights or flying or small spaces. Unless you’re suffering from one of these or other phobias—or ghosts—it is rather easy to simply discard fear as something other people experience. But fear is not so simple. Most often, it sneaks into mind and festers and builds like a bacteria that, if untreated, to infection, sepsis, and even death. You can try preventative measures to keep it at bay, but bacteria can still get in. And you never know until you’re infected until the symptoms appear. This is the primary modus operandi of fear. It sneaks in, debilitates, and even paralyzes. Ultimately, it renders its victim completely helpless. This came to light during an unrelated discussion with my wife. We have been trying to put the finishing touches on my next manuscript, which frankly has been simmering on the backburner over the last several due to life distractions. Currently, it is coming down to fact-checking and formatting endnotes. It is especially nerve-racking because, unlike my previous book, we chose to self-publish this one. We have to get it right. It is all on us. It’s been difficult to release the manuscript. We’re haunted by the questions: is there more that can be done? Is the subject even all that relevant anymore? What am I missing? We check and recheck every detail. We don’t want to let go and send it into a very cruel world. We both recognized this paralysis after hearing ourselves begin everything with the phrase: “I’m afraid…” This realization suddenly made this year make sense. I have felt a bit off most of the year. I have become more subdued, resigned, troubled. I thought I was hiding it okay until a former (and very discerning) student came up to me recently and asked, “Mr. H., are you sad?” That simple, innocent question shook me into an awareness. I don’t necessarily think I am depressed, but something is not right. Since then, between that question and this recent epiphany with my wife, I realized that fear has crept into my life and is now controlling my psyche. The first part of 2026 has been difficult. Now, I won’t pretend that it was somehow more difficult than others. But it has been tough. The remainder of 2026 has been trying to recover from it. Last March, within days of the door slamming shut on my wife’s 25-year career, I lost my mom. In a way, I lost her over the last several years as she sank into dementia, but last March her battle ended. Add this to standard stresses associated with a second semester in a high school, which in and of itself is enough to deplete my tanks. Now I have to tap into mental and emotional resources that don’t exist. Fast forward to the present and I can see how God was with us in the storm. He gave me mental and emotionally resources, I never knew existed. He took care of us despite a huge income drop and being uninsured for a couple of month. Further, I know that my mom is now thinking more clearly than I could ever dream. God gets the glory. However, the enemy used a different tactic to paralyze me. Out of these hardship, fear crept in. And now I realize I am infected with it. Watching my mom sink into the darkness of dementia, I have become afraid that one day I might suffer from that myself. I am afraid of losing my mind. Unfortunately, once fear has a foothold, it doesn’t stop there. Fear escalated from fearing dementia to fearing getting old in general. I am only a few months away from leaving behind my fifties forever. I began to fear getting old. I fear my body slowing down. Simple things become a little harder. My back, my knees, and feet start to hurt a little more. I have a little more trouble hearing someone in a noisy room. I am doing that weird thing with my glasses when transitioning between reading close up and at a distance. It takes longer to get over a cold. Last July, I turned an ankle in Colorado that still aches today. The thought of not driving because driving in the winter or at night just isn’t worth the risk. I don’t want to give up the things that require the energy I had when I was young. How many summer road trips do I have left? What happens when I can no longer match the energy of a classroom of high school students? Fear takes that into a whole new direction. I really don’t want to stop teaching. I love the classroom. I love the cycle of the school calendar. But what happens when my body can’t keep up? Can my filters remain strong enough to keep me from saying something mean or stupid? Will I become tiresome, or in the way? Can I keep my teaching style and not turn into a grumpy old stooge? Worse yet, what happens when I become irrelevant? I have found myself somewhat paralyzed by this fear. And it has dragged me down. It has made me “look sad.” All of this came together with the recent discussion with my wife. Fear has overtaken me. It has taken control of me. But is it too late? Thankfully, no. The most used phrase in the entirety of scripture is: “do not be afraid.” However, one important observation that seems to be overlooked is that that phrase is almost always spoken from the supernatural point of view: God to human, Jesus to human, heavenly messenger to human. From a broader, heavenly perspective to a limited, natural one. “Do not be afraid.” I have thought about this constantly since that epiphany I had with my wife. I should not—must not—live in fear. Not as a child of the King. But how do you switch fear off? It is not as simple as a light switch. Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:5: “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” The enemy’s game plan is to always whisper thoughts into our head that will trigger fear. We have to be on guard always. When we get the sense of fear, we must be deliberate and take that thought captive and replace it with truth: “My God is bigger”; “He is my protector and comforter”; “This thought is not coming from him”. Fear does not sit on the throne, God does. Fear, by definition, is limited, God is infinite. Fear is merely a tool, God is the creator of everything, including us who are made in gis image. Only God can break through the paralysis fear brings and can heal us. Does that mean those things I fear will never happen? No. They likely will. But however the upcoming years pan out, he is with you, with me. And whatever the future brings, God is God. And he is good.

Let's talk about it. HOW SUNDAY BECAME THE COMMON DAY OF WORSHIP: Many sincere Christians assume that Sunday worship was directly commanded by Jesus Christ or established by the apostles. However, when the historical record is examined, a different picture emerges. The transition from the seventh-day Sabbath to Sunday occurred gradually over several centuries through custom, church tradition, civil legislation, and ecclesiastical authority—not through an explicit biblical command. 1. The Sabbath in the Bible The seventh-day Sabbath was established by God at Creation (Genesis 2:1–3), written by God's own finger in the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:8–11), observed by Jesus (Luke 4:16), and kept by the apostles after Christ's resurrection (Acts 13:14, 42–44; Acts 16:13; Acts 17:2; Acts 18:4). Nowhere does Scripture record Jesus changing the Sabbath from the seventh day to the first day of the week. 2. The Earliest Shift Toward Sunday After the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 and especially after the Bar Kokhba revolt (A.D. 132–135), many Christians in the Roman Empire sought to distinguish themselves from the Jews, who were increasingly persecuted by Rome. At the same time, the first day of the week gained importance in some Christian communities because it commemorated Christ's resurrection. Initially, Sunday was observed as a day of worship by many believers, but this did not automatically replace the biblical Sabbath everywhere. For several centuries, many Christians observed both days. 3. Constantine's Sunday Law (A.D. 321) A major turning point came under Emperor Constantine. On March 7, A.D. 321, Constantine issued the first empire-wide Sunday law: «"On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed."» This law did not mention the Sabbath. It referred to the "venerable Day of the Sun," reflecting the Roman terminology already associated with Sunday. Constantine's decree was a civil law, not a command found in Scripture. 4. The Council of Laodicea (Around A.D. 363–364) Several decades later, the Council of Laodicea addressed Sabbath observance. Canon 29 states: «"Christians shall not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but shall work on that day; rather honoring the Lord's Day; and, if possible, resting then as Christians."» This is one of the earliest church canons specifically discouraging Sabbath observance while encouraging Sunday. Notice that this was a decision of a church council—not a command recorded in the Bible. 5. The Roman Catholic Church's Claim The Roman Catholic Church has openly acknowledged that the Bible does not explicitly command Sunday observance and has argued that the change rests upon the Church's authority. Among the best-known statements are: The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (Rev. Peter Geiermann, 1910): «Question: Which is the Sabbath day? Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day. Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday? Answer: Because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.» Another well-known statement appears in The Catholic Mirror (September 23, 1893): «"The Catholic Church... by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday."» Likewise, Cardinal James Gibbons, in The Faith of Our Fathers, argued that Sunday observance is based on the authority and tradition of the Church rather than an explicit biblical command. 6. What Does History Show? The historical evidence indicates that: Jesus never recorded a command changing the Sabbath to Sunday. The apostles left no written command replacing the seventh-day Sabbath. Sunday observance developed gradually in parts of the Christian world. Constantine's law in A.D. 321 gave Sunday legal recognition. The Council of Laodicea later discouraged Sabbath observance and promoted Sunday. Roman Catholic writers have repeatedly acknowledged that the Church played a central role in transferring the public solemnity from Saturday to Sunday. 7. Sunday and the Protestant–Catholic Debate After the Protestant Reformation, the Reformers rejected many Roman Catholic doctrines and appealed to "Scripture alone" (Sola Scriptura) as the final authority for Christian faith and practice. However, although they rejected many church traditions, most Protestant churches continued to observe Sunday rather than the biblical seventh-day Sabbath. Roman Catholic writers pointed to this as evidence that Protestants still accepted the Church's authority in at least one important matter. Archbishop Francis A. Gasquet wrote: «"We have transferred the rest of the Sabbath to the Lord's Day... by the authority of the Catholic Church."» Likewise, The Catholic Mirror (1893) argued that Protestants who observe Sunday while professing Sola Scriptura acknowledge, in practice, the authority of the Catholic Church because the Bible contains no explicit command changing the Sabbath from the seventh day to the first. During Catholic-Protestant controversies, Catholic apologists repeatedly argued that Sunday observance was one of the strongest examples of the authority claimed by the Roman Catholic Church. Their argument was straightforward: if Christians reject the Church's authority, they should also explain the biblical basis for observing Sunday instead of the seventh-day Sabbath. Whether one agrees with that conclusion or not, history records that Roman Catholic theologians openly used Sunday observance as an argument in defense of the Church's teaching authority during debates with Protestants. This historical fact invites every Christian to carefully examine both Scripture and history, asking not what tradition teaches, but what God has revealed in His Word. 8. A Balanced Conclusion History and theology are not identical. Historically, there is broad scholarly agreement that Sunday became the principal Christian day of worship through a gradual process during the early centuries of the Church. Christians differ, however, on how that development should be understood. Many Protestant churches view Sunday worship as a legitimate celebration of Christ's resurrection and apostolic practice, while the Roman Catholic Church grounds it in the Church's teaching authority. Seventh-day Adventists and several other Christian groups maintain that the biblical seventh-day Sabbath remains unchanged because Scripture contains no explicit command transferring its sanctity to Sunday. Each believer is encouraged to examine both Scripture and history carefully, testing every teaching in the light of God's Word (Acts 17:11). Amazing Love

Faith That Brings Down Walls When You Obey God, No Obstacle Can Stand Scripture: Joshua 6:1–21 (KJV) Key Verse "By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days." — Hebrews 11:30 (KJV) Thought Of The Day... Have you ever faced a wall that seemed impossible to overcome? Perhaps it's a sickness that refuses to leave, a marriage under pressure, financial burdens that continue to grow, a wayward child, grief that won't let go, or a prayer that seems to go unanswered. We've all stood before a "Jericho" at some point in life. The city of Jericho was not just another city—it was a fortress. Its massive walls appeared impenetrable. From a human perspective, Israel had no chance of victory. They had no siege weapons, no military strategy capable of bringing those walls down, and no logical reason to believe they could win. But God has never been limited by what seems impossible to man. Instead of giving Joshua a battle plan that made military sense, God gave him a faith plan. The Israelites were instructed to march around the city once each day for six days in complete silence. On the seventh day they were to march around it seven times, blow the trumpets, and shout with all their might. To anyone watching, the instructions probably looked foolish. Yet God's greatest victories often come through obedience that the world cannot understand. Imagine the discipline it took for the Israelites to keep marching when nothing appeared to be happening. Day after day the walls remained standing. There were no cracks, no loose stones, and no signs of progress. But every lap around Jericho was another step of faith. Sometimes God asks us to keep praying when we don't see results. To keep serving when no one notices. To keep forgiving when the hurt is still fresh. To keep believing when circumstances haven't changed. Faith doesn't always produce immediate evidence—but it always produces eventual victory. When the seventh day arrived, the people obeyed exactly as God instructed. The priests blew their trumpets, the people lifted up a mighty shout, and the walls that had stood for years suddenly collapsed. Notice this carefully: The walls didn't fall because Israel was strong. The walls didn't fall because Joshua was a brilliant military commander. The walls fell because God honors obedient faith. The same God who brought down Jericho is still able to tear down the walls standing in front of His people today. Maybe your wall is fear. Maybe it's addiction. Maybe it's depression. Maybe it's unforgiveness. Maybe it's doubt. Maybe it's an impossible situation that everyone else says cannot change. Don't quit marching. Don't stop believing. Don't abandon God's instructions because the walls haven't moved yet. God is often doing His greatest work while we think nothing is happening. Your obedience today may become tomorrow's breakthrough. Lessons from Jericho 1. Every Promise Requires Faith God promised Joshua the city before the battle ever began (Joshua 6:2). Faith believes God's Word before seeing God's results. 2. Obedience Opens the Door for Miracles God's instructions were unusual, but obedience unlocked supernatural victory. Partial obedience never experiences the fullness of God's blessings. 3. Waiting Is Not Wasting For six days nothing visibly changed, yet God was preparing the miracle. God's timing is always perfect. 4. Praise Is a Weapon The shout of victory came before Israel entered the city. Worship often precedes breakthrough. 5. God Specializes in Impossible Victories Jericho reminds us that what is impossible with man is completely possible with God. Something to Think About... Ask yourself today: • What wall am I facing? • Have I been tempted to stop believing because I haven't seen results? • Am I willing to obey God even when His instructions don't make sense? • What step of faith is God asking me to take today? Prayer... Heavenly Father, Thank You for reminding me that no wall is too high, too strong, or too impossible for You. Forgive me for the times I have allowed fear, doubt, or impatience to weaken my faith. Help me to trust Your Word even when I cannot yet see the breakthrough. Give me the strength to keep marching when I grow weary, to keep praying when answers seem delayed, and to keep obeying even when Your plan doesn't make sense to me. Tear down every wall that stands between me and Your promises. Bring down walls of fear, anxiety, discouragement, pride, unforgiveness, sickness, financial lack, broken relationships, and every stronghold the enemy has built against my life. Teach me that victory does not come by my strength, but by Your power. May my life become a testimony that nothing is impossible for those who trust in You. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. Sunday Declaration... Today I choose faith over fear. I will trust God's promises above my circumstances. I will obey even when I don't understand. I will keep marching even when I don't see results. Mark 16:15. “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,” is Christ's command to His followers. Not that all are called to be ministers or missionaries in the ordinary sense of the term; but all may be workers with Him in giving the “glad tidings” to their fellow men. To all, great or small, learned or ignorant, old or young, the command is given.1Education, 264. Upon every one who knows the truth for this time rests the responsibility of making it known to others. The servants of Christ are in a large measure responsible for the well-being and the salvation of the world. They are to be co-laborers with God in the work of winning souls to Christ.2The Review and Herald, March 10, 1904. The theme that attracts the heart of the sinner is Christ, and Him crucified. On the cross of Calvary, Jesus stands revealed to the world in unparalleled love. Present Him thus to the hungering multitudes, and the light of His love will win men from darkness to light, from transgression to obedience and true holiness. Beholding Jesus upon the cross of Calvary arouses the conscience to the heinous character of sin as nothing else can do.3The Review and Herald, November 22, 1892. Will not our church members keep their eyes fixed on a crucified and risen Saviour, in whom their hopes of eternal life are centered? This is our message, our argument, our doctrine, our warning to the impenitent, our encouragement for the sorrowing, the hope for every believer. If we can awaken an interest in men's minds that will cause them to fix their eyes on Christ, we may step aside, and ask them only to continue to fix their eyes upon the Lamb of God.... He whose eyes are fixed on Jesus will leave all. He will die to selfishness.
