  • STOP SCROLLING... THIS IS YOUR INVITATION TO WORSHIP!

When was the last time you sang to Jesus—not because life was perfect, but because He is worthy?

"Sing to the Lord a new song... Play skillfully, and shout for joy!" (Psalm 149)

Your voice doesn't have to be perfect... God isn't looking for a performance. He's looking for your heart.

Praise Him when you're on the mountaintop. Praise Him when you're walking through the valley. Praise Him when you understand... And praise Him when you don't.

Worship changes the atmosphere. Praise silences fear. Jesus is always worthy of our song.

Turn up the worship music today and let every note remind you that God has been faithful through it all!

Comment your favorite worship song below! I might add it to my playlist!

Share this with someone who loves Jesus and needs a reminder to worship instead of worry.

  • where can I go to hide from your presence?
I love this verse because many times we think God only sees us at the mountaintop. when we are at the valley, it is harder for us to see Him .... yet, He promises He is right there.
this is my comfort verse today.

  • THE CALVARY MINISTRY ONLINE

    The Gospel From Calvary

    THURSDAY 9TH JULY, 2026

    THE MOUNTAIN AND THE VALLEY

KEY VERSE:``` "And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only" (MATTHEW 17:8).

Jesus took Peter, James, and John up a high mountain. There He was transfigured — His face shone like the sun, His clothes were white as light. Moses and Elijah appeared, and the Father spoke: “This is my beloved Son… hear ye him.” It was glory on the mountain. But immediately after, they came down to a valley where a demonized boy suffered, and the disciples could not help. Mountain moments are real, but valley work is waiting. And in both, Calvary is the bridge.

Three truths from the mountain and the valley: One, glory points to the Cross. “And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.” Luke tells us they spoke of His “decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem” (Luke 9:31). The glory of transfiguration led straight to the suffering of Calvary. Two, Jesus alone remains. “They saw no man, save Jesus only.” Prophets and law fade, but Christ stands. After every spiritual high, only Jesus satisfies. Three, faith moves what mountains reveal. In the valley, a desperate father cried, “Lord, have mercy.” The disciples failed for lack of faith, but Jesus said, “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed… nothing shall be impossible unto you” (verse 20). The same Jesus who shines on the mountain stoops in the valley.

Are you coming down from a mountaintop today, or stuck in a valley that won’t move? Don’t build tents on the mountain. Don’t despair in the valley. Keep your eyes on Jesus only. The glory you saw on Sunday fuels the faith you need on Thursday. And remember: the One transfigured in light is the One who was disfigured at Calvary for you.

  • Did you know?
The most skipped chapter in the entire Bible contains a message that has been buried in plain sight for three thousand years. Most Christians have never been told this. Here is what was hidden inside it.
In Genesis chapter 5, there is a genealogy. Ten names. Adam through Noah. Most people skip it entirely. It reads like a list of ancient men who lived impossibly long lives and then died.
Adam. Seth. Enosh. Kenan. Mahalalel. Jared. Enoch. Methuselah. Lamech. Noah.
Ten names. Ten entries. Thousands of years of readers flipping past them on the way to the flood.
But in ancient Hebrew, every name had a meaning. Names were not labels. They were declarations. Parents named their children as statements about the world they were born into or the future they were born for.
When you translate each name in Genesis 5 from the original Hebrew, in order, they form a sentence.
    Adam means Man.
    Seth means Appointed.
    Enosh means Mortal sorrow.
    Kenan means Sorrow.
    Mahalalel means The blessed God.
    Jared means Shall come down.
    Enoch means Teaching.
Methuselah means His death shall bring.
    Lamech means The despairing.
    Noah means Rest.
    Read them together.
Man is appointed mortal sorrow. But the blessed God shall come down, teaching that His death shall bring the despairing rest.
The gospel. Written in a genealogy. In the fifth chapter of the first book of the Bible. Thousands of years before Jesus was born.
Not in a prophecy. Not in a psalm. Not in a vision given to a prophet on a mountaintop.
In a list of names that almost every reader in history has skipped.
Hidden in the most overlooked page in all of Scripture is the clearest summary of the gospel ever written. And it has been sitting there for three thousand years waiting for someone to read the names instead of skipping past them.
Man is appointed to sorrow. The blessed God will come down. His death will bring the despairing rest.
That is the Christmas story. The crucifixion. The resurrection. The promise of peace. Condensed into ten names on a single page that most Christians have never read carefully in their lives.
