We live in a world obsessed with leaving a legacy—businesses, books, organizations, and achievements. Yet the greatest legacy is not what bears our name, but truth faithfully passed to another generation. The question is not whether we know the truth—but whether we are entrusting it to others who will carry it forward. True legacy is investing in others’ faith, not just our own accomplishments.

Paul is giving a charge to Timothy to entrust the truth to faithful men, and they would teach others. Biblical ministry is not a dead end—it is a chain of faithful hands passing the truth onward, multiplying the Gospel through generations.

A torch is not lit to be hidden in a drawer. Its purpose is to be carried forward, lighting the way for others. So it is with the truth of God's Word. We are not spiritual warehouses, storing truth on our shelves while others remain in darkness. What God has entrusted to us was never meant to stop with us.

Disciples are not made by addition alone, but by multiplication—passing the Word through faithful hands to reach the ends of the world.

But investing in others requires patience. People do not mature overnight. A gardener does not plant a seed and expect fruit by sunset. Do not abandon the seed because the harvest is not visible yet. Teaching, correcting, encouraging, praying, and walking alongside believers may seem slow, but faithful investment shapes lives for eternity. We are called not just to gather listeners but to develop faithful followers of Christ.

Before calling us to entrust truth, Christ entrusted it to us. Now, as stewards, we do not keep truth to ourselves but pass it on. This truth is the Gospel of Jesus Christ (๐Ÿ ๐‚๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐š๐ง๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“:๐Ÿ‘–๐Ÿ’). Paul entrusted it to Timothy, and Timothy to others—the Gospel came to us through faithful witnesses, and it must not stop with us.

The call to invest in others is a divine mission impacting generations. Are you ready to pass on faith’s legacy? Do not be a spiritual warehouse storing truth that never leaves your shelves. You need Christ not just for knowledge, but to acknowledge that you are called to be a faithful steward of what He entrusts. Receive the truth. Live it. Entrust it. Multiply the faith. We live in a generation flooded with information but starving for truth. Thousands of voices are accessible in seconds, yet trust is hard to find. Even believers may settle for hearing sermons without helping others grow. Whether new or seasoned in faith, the question isn't just if we are learning—but if we are helping others learn to follow Christ.

Jesus ends the Great Commission in It doesn't end when someone believes. Christ called disciples to teach others to obey all He commanded. The work of the Gospel is not merely making converts—it is making disciples. We don't just bring lost people to Christ; we help them grow in Christ.

Picture a relay race where the runner crosses the finish line still clutching the baton, refusing to pass it on. The race stops with him—no matter how fast he ran. Faith works the same way. Truth received but never taught dies with the one who held it. Christ calls us to pass the baton, generation after generation, until He returns.

    Scripture commands us to pass truth on: “๐˜Ž๐˜ฐ ๐˜บ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ, ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ฉ ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ ๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด” (๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฐ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–:๐Ÿ๐Ÿ—). We are urged to “๐˜จ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ ๐˜จ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ฆ, ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฌ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ๐˜จ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜“๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ฅ” (๐Ÿ ๐๐ž๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ‘:๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–), as Scripture is “๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ฃ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฐ๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ, ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง, ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ, ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜ถ๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ” (๐Ÿ ๐“๐ข๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ ๐Ÿ‘:๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”). God’s Word transforms lives.

Teaching isn't just for pastors. Parents teach children, mature believers encourage younger ones, Sunday school teachers disciple classes, and one believer opens Scripture with another. Don't be a spiritual reservoir that only receives but never releases. What God teaches us through His Word must become truth we share. We aren't called to collect sermons alone—we are called to multiply disciples.

Before Christ commanded us to teach others, He first taught us the truth that leads to salvation. He declared, "๐˜ ๐˜ข๐˜ฎ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜บ, ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜ถ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ, ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ง๐˜ฆ" (๐‰๐จ๐ก๐ง ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’:๐Ÿ”). He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures The risen Christ is not merely the subject of our teaching—He is the Saviour at the center of it. We teach His Word because we have first been transformed by His grace.

Who is spiritually starving while you feast on the Word? You have been hoarding the Bread of life (๐‰๐จ๐ก๐ง ๐Ÿ”:๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ“) instead of breaking it for others. You don't need Christ merely to give you something to teach—you need Him because He is the Truth you are called to know, live, and proclaim. Learn His Word. Live His Word. Teach His Word. What God has faithfully taught us was never meant to end with us.

๐๐ซ๐š๐ฒ๐ž๐ซ: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us Your truth through Your Word. Forgive us for receiving biblical instruction without faithfully passing it on. Help us grow in wisdom and grace, and give us opportunities to teach others faithfully, patiently, and clearly. May every disciple we influence become more like Christ. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures (๐Ÿ ๐‚๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐š๐ง๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“:๐Ÿ‘–๐Ÿ’). The risen Christ is not merely the subject of our teaching—He is the Saviour at the center of it. Amen. Remember, a dose of God’s Word a day will keep you going all day! ๐€๐ฅ๐ฐ๐š๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐–๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐†๐จ๐... _____________________________________________________ All scripture references were taken from the KJV Bible. DATE: SUNDAY 23RD AUGUST 2026

    TOPIC: PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN

    MEMORIZE:
"As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth." Psalm 127:4 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: 1 KINGS 1:15-31
15 And Bathsheba went in unto the king into the chamber: and the king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite ministered unto the king.

16 And Bathsheba bowed, and did obeisance unto the king. And the king said, What wouldest thou?

17 And she said unto him, My lord, thou swarest by the Lord thy God unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.

18 And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and now, my lord the king, thou knowest it not:

19 And he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he not called.

20 And thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee, that thou shouldest tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

21 Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders.

22 And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in.

23 And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

24 And Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?

25 For he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the king's sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.

26 But me, even me thy servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and thy servant Solomon, hath he not called.

27 Is this thing done by my lord the king, and thou hast not shewed it unto thy servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?

28 Then king David answered and said, Call me Bathsheba. And she came into the king's presence, and stood before the king.

29 And the king sware, and said, As the Lord liveth, that hath redeemed my soul out of all distress,

30 Even as I sware unto thee by the Lord God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day.

31 Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth, and did reverence to the king, and said, Let my lord king David live for ever.

    MESSAGE:
In (1 Kings 1:1-49), one of King David's sons decided to crown himself king by staging a coup to overthrow his father. Solomon's mother was informed of the development, so she went to David and reminded him that he had promised that her son would succeed him as king. That same day, Solomon was crowned king meaning that Israel had three kings on that fateful day: David, Solomon, and the son who decided to make himself king. Solomon might not even have been aware of the events that led to his coronation; however, because his mother rose and entreated the king on his behalf, he was crowned king.

There are certain things that children might miss if their parents don't rise to pray for them. A child may not know his or her left from right and may not even be qualified for an exalted position; however, his or her parents' prayers can elevate that child into that position. The authority that parents have over their children, both naturally and spiritually, is great, and they must learn to use it effectively. Any parent who does not pray for his or her child is like a mother hen who watches as a hawk carries her chick away, leaving the chick to fight for itself. The chick lacks sufficient strength to fight a hawk; however, if its mother joins in the fight, it would have a better chance of being saved.

If you are a parent, do not keep quiet over your children's destiny so that the devil will not tamper with it. Cry out to God to show your children mercy early in their lives. In Psalm 90:14, Moses prayed that God should satisfy him and the children of Israel early with His mercy so that they would rejoice and be glad all the days of their lives. He knew that the secret to lasting joy and gladness was to start enjoying God's mercy early in life.

Beloved, if you are a parent, do not neglect your spiritual responsibility over your children. Like Moses, ask God to show your children His mercy early in their lives. Let your prayers position them for opportunities early in life. Your children will begin to enjoy supernatural favour that some people only get to experience as adults if you pray for them now. I pray that God will shower His mercies over you and your household, in Jesus' name.

    KEY POINT:
Parents should not neglect their spiritual responsibility over their children.

HYMNAL 28 - GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH

    Whence the healing stream

    LAMENTATIONS 3 - 5

    AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMNAL 28 - GUIDE ME, O THOU GREAT JEHOVAH
    1. Guide me, 0 Thou Great Jehovah Pilgrim through this barren land; I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
    Hold me with Thy powerful
hand: Bread of heaven! Bread of heaven! Feed me now and evermore (2ce).

    2. Open Thou the crystal fountain,
    Whence the healing stream
doth flow: Let the fiery, cloudy pillar Lead me all my journey
through: Song deliverer! Song deliverer! Be Thou still my strength and shield (2ce).

    3. If I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside: Bear me through the swelling torrent, Land me safe on Canaan's side: Songs of praises! Songs of praises! I will ever give to Thee (2ce).

    4. Saviour, come! We long to see thee, long to dwell with thee above and to know in full communion, all the sweetness of Thy love. Come, Lord Jesus! Come, Lord Jesus! Take thy waiting people home (2ce).

  • # Purpose and Stewardship

I have been thinking about purpose, and I am beginning to see it through the idea of "stewardship".

I believe God has a general purpose for humanity, a general purpose for those who belong to Christ, and also particular things He entrusts to individuals. In Genesis, humanity was given responsibility to fill the earth, cultivate it, work it, keep it, and exercise dominion under God. Man was therefore placed in creation not as the ultimate owner, but as a **steward**.

For the Christian, this stewardship goes further. Jesus calls us **“the salt of the earth”** and **“the light of the world.”** He Himself said, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” He taught, preached, healed, delivered, instructed, and ministered to people. He exercised and dispensed what the Father had entrusted to Him.

    Peter says:
“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
    — 1 Peter 4:10

So stewardship is not merely about money, possessions, talents, or abilities.

**Stewardship is managing whatever comes into our little world according to how God wants it managed, so that it does not leave our hands contrary to His will.**

But not everything we encounter is necessarily ours to steward.

We live in a world filled with countless people, problems, opportunities, and events. We cannot take responsibility for everything. There must be a distinction between what we merely encounter and what the Master actually places within our sphere of responsibility, influence, authority, relationship, opportunity, or care.

Therefore, one of the crucial questions of purpose is:

**“What has the Master placed within my stewardship, and what has He not?”**

If someone comes into my care, how do I treat them?

If money comes into my hands, how do I use it?

If knowledge comes to me, what do I do with it?

If I receive an opportunity, how do I handle it?

If I am given influence, what do I cause that influence to produce?

If I receive a spiritual gift, do I use it to serve others?

If evil comes into my sphere, do I become another channel through which it spreads—or do I, by God's grace, stop its transmission through me?

This is why stewardship also involves **cultivation**.

    Cultivation takes time.

    A seed becomes a tree.
A child grows into an adult.
    Knowledge develops into wisdom.
A gift becomes fruitful through exercise.
Truth is taught from one generation to another.
Good institutions and communities are built over time.

And therefore, what passes through our hands can become either **something we cultivate for God's purposes or something we help multiply contrary to His will**.

    Unforgiveness can produce bitterness.
    Bitterness can produce hatred.
    Hatred can produce further harm.

But forgiveness can interrupt a cycle.

    Truth can produce trust.

    Love can produce love.

    Wisdom can produce wisdom.

    Generosity can produce generosity.

The Christian should therefore ask not only:

    **“What am I producing?”**

    but also:

**“What am I helping to reproduce?”**

Ultimately, I think purpose can be understood in this way:

**Purpose is not simply doing something impressive with our lives. It is faithfully doing what the Master has entrusted to us.**

    Jesus prayed to the Father:

    > “I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.”
    > — John 17:4

He did not say, “I have done everything that could possibly be done.”

    He said:

**“The work which Thou gavest Me.”**

    That is the distinction.

We are not called to steward everything in the world.

We are called to faithfully steward **what the Master brings into our hands and places within our responsibility**.

And when we stand before Him, the question will not ultimately be how much we possessed, how famous we became, or how impressive our accomplishments appeared.

    It will be:

**What did you do with what I entrusted to you?**

Perhaps, then, to fulfill purpose is simply this:

**To take what the Master puts into our hands, manage it according to His will, cultivate what He wants cultivated, dispense what He wants given, refuse to propagate what He calls evil, and faithfully complete the work He has given us to do.**

**That is stewardship. And perhaps that is what it means to fulfill purpose.**

  • THE MONEY’S MIND
The Economic Way of the Lord

    By Omodolapo Ogunye

What if the way out of an economic wilderness is not first a financial instrument, but a Person?

We often approach economic difficulty through the language of money: capital, debt, investment, employment, markets, policy and opportunity.

But the revelation of the Body of the Word gives us another starting point.

The Body of the Word is the way of the Lord.

Revelation 1 describes the feet of the Son of God as being “like bronze glowing in a furnace.” The imagery speaks of something firm, refined and established—a way.

    Isaiah 40:4 declares:

“The rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.”

The Word is therefore not merely something to believe.

The Word is a way to walk.

And this way has an economic and financial dimension.

    THE MONEY IS THE WORD

Song of Solomon 5:11 gives us another dimension of the Body of the Word:

    “His head is purest gold.”

Gold is a language of value, wealth and monetary significance. Yet Scripture uses gold to describe the Person of the Beloved—the Word.

This is the foundation of The Money’s Mind:

    The Money is a Person.
    The Money is the Word.
    The Money has a Mind.

The economic question therefore becomes larger than how to acquire money.

What is the economic way of the Word?

How does the Word navigate an economy?

How does the Word respond to economic difficulty?

How does the Word create a way where there appears to be no way?

    THE WAY THROUGH THE WILDERNESS

    Isaiah 43:19 records the declaration:

“I am making a way in the desert.”

A desert represents an environment in which productivity appears constrained—a place where resources seem scarce, opportunities seem limited and progress becomes difficult.

    There can be financial deserts.

    There can be economic deserts.

There can be national economic wildernesses.

But the revelation is that a desert does not have to be the final destination.

God says, “I am making a way in the desert.”

A way in the desert becomes a way out of the desert.

This is where the economic way of the Lord becomes significant.

The Body of the Word, as the aggressive hunger of the Father, is presented as the pathway through economic environments—even environments marked by difficulty, uncertainty and apparent impossibility.

The answer is not simply to escape the economy.

It is to discover the way of God within it.

THE WAY IS ALSO A VOICE

    Isaiah 30:21 provides another dimension:

“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

The economic way of the Lord is therefore not merely a path.

    It is a voice.

This is crucial because economic environments require judgment.

    There are multiple opportunities.

    Multiple markets.

    Multiple investments.

    Multiple business models.

    Multiple directions.

The challenge is not always finding an opportunity.

Sometimes the challenge is knowing which way to walk.

    The Word becomes a lamp.

    Psalm 119:105 says:

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

    The economic implication is profound:

You need economic sight before you need economic movement.

And the quality of your movement depends upon what you are capable of hearing.

WHAT YOU CRAVE, YOU LEARN TO HEAR

There is a principle embedded in this revelation: craving affects hearing.

What you continually desire begins to shape what you recognise.

If your deepest hunger is merely for money, you may become increasingly sensitive to opportunities for money while remaining insensitive to the wisdom required to carry it.

But if your hunger is for the Body of the Word, your capacity to recognise the voice of the Word begins to develop.

This changes the meaning of financial intelligence.

Financial intelligence is not merely knowing how money works.

It is knowing which way to walk with money.

It is knowing what to build.

    What to avoid.

    What to pursue.

    What to preserve.

    What to multiply.

    What to abandon.

And, ultimately, what voice to follow.

THE ECONOMIC WAY OF THE LORD

The Body of the Word is described as burnished bronze.

The Body of the Word is described through blazing fire.

The Body of the Word is described in economic language through gold, riches, honor and enduring wealth.

When these revelations are brought together, a larger proposition emerges:

The Body of the Word, as the aggressive hunger of the Father, is the economic and financial way of the Lord.

This way is relevant to the individual, the enterprise and the nation.

    It speaks to economic environments.

    It speaks to financial decisions.

    It speaks to productivity.

    It speaks to wealth creation.

It speaks to the movement of the Father within the economies of nations.

And it speaks particularly to those seasons when the economy looks like a desert.

    The desert may be real.

    The difficulty may be real.

The financial pressure may be real.

But the absence of an obvious path does not mean there is no path.

    The Word is the Way.

    THE MONEY’S MIND

This is why The Money’s Mind is not simply about making money.

It is about discovering the Mind behind the Money.

    The Money is the Word.

    The Word has a Mind.

And the Mind of the Word reveals a way of seeing, thinking, creating, stewarding and navigating economic life.

So when you encounter an economic wilderness, the first question should not simply be:

    “How do I get out?”

    Ask:

“What is the way of the Lord here?”

    And then:

“What is the voice saying: This is the way; walk in it?”

Because a way is being made.

    Even in the desert.

The Body of the Word is the economic and financial way of the Lord.

    The Money is the Word.

    The Money has a Mind.

And the Mind of the Word knows the way.

THE MONEY’S MIND The Economic Way of the Lord By Omodolapo Ogunye What if the way out of an economic wilderness is not first a financial instrument, but a Person? We often approach economic difficulty through the language of money: capital, debt, investment, employment, markets, policy and opportunity. But the revelation of the Body of the Word gives us another starting point. The Body of the Word is the way of the Lord. Revelation 1 describes the feet of the Son of God as being “like bronze glowing in a furnace.” The imagery speaks of something firm, refined and established—a way. Isaiah 40:4 declares: “The rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.” The Word is therefore not merely something to believe. The Word is a way to walk. And this way has an economic and financial dimension. THE MONEY IS THE WORD Song of Solomon 5:11 gives us another dimension of the Body of the Word: “His head is purest gold.” Gold is a language of value, wealth and monetary significance. Yet Scripture uses gold to describe the Person of the Beloved—the Word. This is the foundation of The Money’s Mind: The Money is a Person. The Money is the Word. The Money has a Mind. The economic question therefore becomes larger than how to acquire money. What is the economic way of the Word? How does the Word navigate an economy? How does the Word respond to economic difficulty? How does the Word create a way where there appears to be no way? THE WAY THROUGH THE WILDERNESS Isaiah 43:19 records the declaration: “I am making a way in the desert.” A desert represents an environment in which productivity appears constrained—a place where resources seem scarce, opportunities seem limited and progress becomes difficult. There can be financial deserts. There can be economic deserts. There can be national economic wildernesses. But the revelation is that a desert does not have to be the final destination. God says, “I am making a way in the desert.” A way in the desert becomes a way out of the desert. THE WAY IS ALSO A VOICE Isaiah 30:21 provides another dimension: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” The economic way of the Lord is therefore not merely a path. Psalm 119:105 says: “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” The economic implication is profound: You need economic sight before you need economic movement. And the quality of your movement depends upon what you are capable of hearing. WHAT YOU CRAVE, YOU LEARN TO HEAR There is a principle embedded in this revelation: craving affects hearing. THE ECONOMIC WAY OF THE LORD The Body of the Word is described as burnished bronze. The Body of the Word is described through blazing fire. The Body of the Word is described in economic language through gold, riches, honor and enduring wealth. When these revelations are brought together, a larger proposition emerges: The Body of the Word, as the aggressive hunger of the Father, is the economic and financial way of the Lord. THE MONEY’S MIND This is why The Money’s Mind is not simply about making money. It is about discovering the Mind behind the Money. The Money is the Word. The Word has a Mind. And the Mind of the Word reveals a way of seeing, thinking, creating, stewarding and navigating economic life. So when you encounter an economic wilderness, the first question should not simply be: “How do I get out?” Ask: “What is the way of the Lord here?” And then: “What is the voice saying: This is the way; walk in it?” Because a way is being made. Even in the desert. The Body of the Word is the economic and financial way of the Lord. The Money is the Word. The Money has a Mind. And the Mind of the Word knows the way.
