• Psalm 116-118

I love the LORD! Why? Because He always hears my cries, and He always bottles every tear. This is a song of praise to the Lord Almighty regarding His steadfast love that endureth forever. I needed to read this today! This statement has defeated armies. "I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the LORD." How could I even think to despair with all the works God has done in my own life, resurrected, blood protected and I dare to fear what man can do? I am by no means untouchable, but my LORD fights for me. Whom shall I fear? My God is the Lord of Hosts. I have Him and armies of angels all around, I am not surrounded by the enemy, the enemy is surrounded by my God and His warriors. I'm done with the despair. I have the Holy Spirit. Jesus is in my heart and God is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. I have been set free from the chains that lies made, embraced the truth and I won't ever give up or give in, because my God is bigger than my problems.

  • SATAN WAS CREATED

Many people view the conflict between God and Satan as a spiritual tug-of-war between two equally powerful opponents. NOTHING could be further from the truth.

Addressing Satan, Ezekiel 28:13 mentions “the day that you were created.” The phrase is repeated in verse 15: God was reminding Satan that he is the creature, not the Creator. God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent; Satan is none of those things. We need to remember that God is eternal, but Satan is a created being.

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    FRIDAY JULY 31, 2O26.
    "CONTROL YOUR TONGUE "

'…If we could control our tongues, we…could also control ourselves in every other way.’  James 3:2 NLT

THE SAYING goes, ‘We are like cats; we lick ourselves with our tongues!’ When someone spreads gossip, mark that person carefully. Why? Because if they talk to you about somebody else, they’ll talk to somebody else about you. The Bible warns us about three things: 1) a hasty tongue. ‘Do you see a man hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him’ (Proverbs 29:20 NKJV). If you take time to get the facts, much of the time you’ll speak differently. Hannah prayed so passionately for a child that Eli the high priest thought she was drunk. When the disciples saw Jesus walking toward them on the Sea of Galilee, they thought He was a ghost. So think, or better yet, pray before you jump to conclusions. 2) a flattering tongue. ‘…There is no faithfulness in their mouth…they flatter with their tongue’ (Psalms 5:9 NKJV). Say what you mean and mean what you say. Be genuine. When you flatter people, you manipulate them for your own ends. Don’t do that. Give it to them straight. If you love them, be truthful with them. 3) a judgmental tongue. Jesus said, ‘Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you’ (Matthew 7:1-2 NKJV). If you live long enough, you’ll be guilty of many of the same things you’re so quick to condemn in others. The truth is, how you deal with other people determines how God deals with you.

    ```TEXT:LUKE 22:7-12```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat" (LUKE 22:8).*_

*One of the most enduring and longest placed dining tables in the world is in the Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad, India. The palace was built by Nawab Viqar-ul-Umra, and it was completed in 1894. The dining table was crafted with the finest materials available at that time. It is 108-foot-long and is designed to seat 101 guests. The table is part of the furniture still used today at the Taj Falaknuma Palace, which has been converted to a luxury hotel. It takes an uncommon table to entertain uncommon guests.*

*It was Passover time and for Jesus, it would be His last with His disciples. He wanted to celebrate it in an uncommon way. He instructed them to go and prepare a place for the feast, though, unknown to them, He had by divine power, already put arrangements in place. Getting the work done well will take their willingness, faith in His word and implicit obedience to His instructions for them to make a success of their assignment. Jesus sent Peter and John on this special assignment and wonderfully enough, on this occasion, Peter did not ask questions. He went as instructed and found the words of Jesus true to the letter.*

*There is nothing on earth that can take our Lord by surprise. John says Jesus "needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man" (John 2:25). He knew the houses and spaces available for Him. He knew the locations and available "large rooms" furnished to receive Him. But He did not take chances by keeping the guests wondering when He would come. He sent an advance party to get all things ready.*

*The Lord Jesus is coming again and He wants you to be ready for the marriage supper of the Lamb. He has gone to prepare a place for the elect and He wants us to be watchful and prepared for the glorious occasion. Peter and John did not hesitate to carry out His plan to get the table for the feast ready. He has great expectations that you will carry out His instructions. Will you let Him down?*

    ``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold" (LUKE 19:8).*_
    *The _Collins Dictionary_ defines restitution as one, "the act of giving back something that has been lost or stolen;" two, "the act of compensating for loss or injury by reverting as far as possible to the position before such injury occurred;" and three, "the return of an object or system to its original state, especially a restoration of shape after elastic deformation."*
    *This three-layer definition of restitution provides a clear picture of what restitution entails in the Christian faith. Restitution is important because it shows how repentance and conversion come with a broken and contrite spirit. The example of Zacchaeus in the Bible demonstrates that becoming a disciple of Christ requires restoring to others what has been taken wrongfully.*
    *Restitution concretises your repentance and it also makes people around you to know about the grace of God which could help you to be desirous of amending your ways. Seek to amend your ways today by restoring things taken from others wrongfully and by restoring peaceful relationship with those you offended. Seek counsel from mature believers to handle cases that may implicate others.*
    ```Key Verse:``` _*"Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering" (Leviticus 6:5).*_

John borrowed a story book from the library and forgot to return it. In church, years after he left primary school, he heard a message on restitution. He made up his mind to take the book back to his former school. The head teacher of the school was very happy with John.

When we become saved, God expects us to make right all our wrongs. Perhaps you took something that does not belong to you, return it to the rightful owner. If you told a lie or bore false witness against an innocent person or gossiped about your pastor, friend or teacher, then, you must do your restitutions and make things right with them.

The verse three (3) of our text says, *"Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein". You must return all that does not belong to you to the rightful owners and confess to people you have wrongfully accused. When you do these, God will bless you with peace, joy and progress.*

    *OBEDIENCE UNTO DEATH*

    *TEXT:* LUKE 22:7-12.

7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.
11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.

*Timeless Truth:*_"Being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross"_ (Philippians 2:8).

    *INTRODUCTION*

Willing and joyful obedience to God and His Word is one of the clearest distinguishing marks of a child of God. An unconverted person will see obedience as a burden and when he may be willing he may not have the power to obey. When someone is genuinely converted, all forms of resistance and reluctance in obeying God are given a deadly blow. The more consecrated he is, the more tender his heart is and the more surrendered to the will, word, way and wisdom of God. Obedience is the practical proof of love for God. As the hour of His suffering drew near, Jesus did not avoid the Father’s will; He moved steadily toward the cross even when it was not convenient. In this passage we see obedience displayed first by the Saviour, then by His servants and finally by those who would become obedient saints. True discipleship is not selective obedience, but complete surrender, even when the path leads to sacrifice.

    *1. The Obedient Saviour*

*"Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.”* The law of the passover had been in existence for thousands of years since the children of Israel were delivered from Egypt. It is easy to see the ceremonial law as outdated and Jesus could easily have waived it off as inconsequential. Rather, Jesus took it seriously as something that must be obeyed since it had not been abrogated by God. There is also the psychological trauma that He could have used as an excuse for not obeying this law of passover. He knew that the Passover pointed to His own death as the Lamb of God and the thought of it could be very distressing. Yet, He was obedient unto death; He did not resist the divine timetable. His obedience was deliberate, timely and total.
    b. Obedience to the Word of God should be total and there should not be any excuse when the Word of God is clear. He teaches us that obedience is not merely doing what is easy; it is submitting to God’s will even when it involves suffering. There is no record of spots in the character of Jesus though He passed through most emotionally tasking situations and circumstances. We are to follow His example and this will take determination, consecration and prayer for grace.

    *Question*

Am I willing to obey God when obedience demands sacrifice, inconvenience or personal loss?

    *2. The Obedient Servants*

    a. Jesus sent Peter and John with specific instructions concerning the Passover preparation. *"Go and prepare us the passover that we may eat"*. They were told what to do, where to go and whom to follow. That kind of commandment was strange. The disciples were always with Jesus and they never saw or heard Him telling someone about using his house for passover. It was natural for people like Peter not to "play the fool" but rather ask questions from Christ so as to be more certain. Surprisingly, they did not ask Jesus for clarifications, argue, delay or substitute their own ideas; they simply obeyed. Actually, the instructions were detailed enough that without any question they could easily follow the instructions of Jesus. But it would require faith in the Omniscience and Omnipresence of Jesus to obey.
    b. Pride and unbelief are two major drivers of disobedience. He who will follow Jesus must have faith in Christ as the faithful Lord of heaven and earth. He is Omnipotent and Omniscient. There must be humility too. It is the humility of Christ that made Him submit to God's Word and paid the ultimate price for the salvation of mankind. Obedient servants trust the wisdom of their Master even when they do not fully understand His instructions. God often guides step by step and blessing follows those who respond promptly.

    *Question*

Do I obey God promptly or do I delay until His command agrees with my own plans?

    *3. The Obedient Saint*

There was no evidence that Jesus had ever met this owner of the house on one on one. He might have been among those multitudes that have heard of Jesus and perhaps followed Jesus. He is a type of secret saint or secret disciple of Christ. The owner of the house responded positively when the disciples conveyed the Master’s request. He made available a large furnished upper room for the Lord’s use. This unnamed man became an example of a saint whose possessions, home and resources were surrendered for God’s purpose. Obedience is
not limited to dramatic acts; it includes the faithful dedication of what we have to the service of Christ and willingness to give up anything the Master asks for, no matter how precious.

    *Question*

Is my life, my home, my time and my substance fully available for the Lord’s use? Is there any aspect of the Word of God that you waive aside because you are not willing to obey?

    *Prayer Points*

1.Lord Jesus, give me a heart that delights to obey You completely .
2.Father, remove every spirit of disobedience, delay and self-will from my life .
3.I consecrate my life, family, home and resources for Your service and keep me obedient unto the end .
4.Circumcise the heart of Your children and purge them from secret, silent and sinning disobedience .

    *HYMN:* Trust and Obey

*BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* PHILIPPIANS 1-4.

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    MP.i. Morning Prayer

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. ⏤ Psalm 19:14

It is not what a man does that determines whether his work is sacred or secular, but why he does it. ⏤ A.W. Tozer

O You who dwell in the heavens, we lift our eyes to You. The morning calls us again to worship You, and we gladly come to Your feet with our praise. It is fitting that we should bring You our hearts' worship. We have been called from death, as it were, for in our sleep we were like the dead. Our waking is a new beginning of life. We give ourselves to You for another day. We dedicate this day to You and want to make it entirely Yours. We want to make it a holy day, without blemish. We don't want to do anything to stain its white page. We want to write on this little page of ours only beautiful things—a record of worthy deeds, faithfulness, kindness, and unselfishness.

But we know that we can only make this day white and worthy with Your help. We are naturally selfish—but may You fill us with Your love so that we will do only loving things today. Preserve us from impatience, from outbursts of temper, from quarrelsomeness, and from all harsh and bitter speech. Help us as a family to live together with affection, bearing with one another, restraining anger and unkind feelings, and showing only thoughtfulness, gentleness, and sweetness of spirit. Help us to make our home a place of love where no sharp or unkind words are spoken, where each person thinks only of the others' happiness. Make our home one where Jesus Himself would be glad to be a constant guest.

Then may our home today be a center of holy influence that spreads light, warmth, and cheer to other homes. There are homes without Your love—without the blessing of Your love revealed and understood. May the influence of our home help to make these homes truer. We ask this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

When you do these, God will bless you with peace, joy and progress.* 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥 ```🅿️rayer:``` _*Oh Lord, grant me the courage to give back all that I have taken falsely, and make my way right.*_ 🙏🏽 ```📖 Further Reading:``` *Luke 19:1-8* Right Your Wrongs! https://dailymanna.app// *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#SincereMilk31stJuly2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [30/07, 9:01 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* FRIDAY, 31ST JULY, 2026. *OBEDIENCE UNTO DEATH* *TEXT:* LUKE 22:7-12. 7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. *INTRODUCTION* Willing and joyful obedience to God and His Word is one of the clearest distinguishing marks of a child of God. *1. The Obedient Saviour* *"Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.”* The law of the passover had been in existence for thousands of years since the children of Israel were delivered from Egypt. *Question* Am I willing to obey God when obedience demands sacrifice, inconvenience or personal loss? *2. The Obedient Servants* a. *Question* Do I obey God promptly or do I delay until His command agrees with my own plans? *3. The Obedient Saint* There was no evidence that Jesus had ever met this owner of the house on one on one. Obedience is not limited to dramatic acts; it includes the faithful dedication of what we have to the service of Christ and willingness to give up anything the Master asks for, no matter how precious. *Question* Is my life, my home, my time and my substance fully available for the Lord’s use? Is there any aspect of the Word of God that you waive aside because you are not willing to obey? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord Jesus, give me a heart that delights to obey You completely 🙏. 2.Father, remove every spirit of disobedience, delay and self-will from my life 🙏. 3.I consecrate my life, family, home and resources for Your service and keep me obedient unto the end 🙏. 4.Circumcise the heart of Your children and purge them from secret, silent and sinning disobedience 🙏. *HYMN:* Trust and Obey *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* PHILIPPIANS 1-4. 2. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. ⏤ Psalm 19:14 It is not what a man does that determines whether his work is sacred or secular, but why he does it. ⏤ A.W. Tozer O You who dwell in the heavens, we lift our eyes to You. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/26/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    MONDAY JULY 27, 2O26.
    "FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, CONTROL YOURSELF!"

    'A person without self-control…’  Proverbs 25:28 NLT

THE BOY said, ‘He made me do it, Dad. He was nasty to me.’ Attempting to teach his son responsibility, his father replied, ‘Son, you’ve got to learn that you are the guard at the door of your own life. You’re in charge. Nothing gets in or out without your permission.’ That’s a picture of how things work in your spiritual life! ‘A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls’—a defenceless city, because its guard failed to protect it. But what if the enemy is too powerful for you? For God’s people, all warfare is spiritual. Whether you’re tested on the social, financial, emotional or sexual front, the battle must be won spiritually. And the rule in spiritual warfare is: ‘…Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world’ (1 John 4:4). When your personal territory is under assault, you’re never abandoned to your own devices—unless you choose to be. However inadequate you feel, however intimidating the situation looks, no matter how many battles you’ve already lost, the power of the Holy Spirit within you is always adequate to guarantee your victory. What’s the key to releasing that power? 1) ‘…Clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires’ (Romans 13:14 NLT). Invite the Lord to take the wheel and redirect your thoughts. 2) ‘…The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives…self-control…’ (Galatians 5:22-23 NLT). God’s Spirit won’t forcibly control you. But He will enable you to control yourself, resist temptation, master your vulnerability and win the victory.

    MONDAY 27TH JULY, 2026```

    *IT IS THEIR TIME* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽

    ```TEXT:LUKE 22:52-54```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness" (LUKE 22:53).*_

*The story was told of a university town, where a feared cult leader ran a gang. The gang terrorised students, extorting, bullying, and even injuring others. He was regarded as "untouchable," and his group gained influence - notoriety. He lived large, dressed in designer clothes, and drove expensive cars. However, following a violent incident on campus that involved his group, a major investigation was launched by the authorities. The cult leader was arrested and expelled. His supporters disbanded and fled. Years later, while the students he terrorised built careers, he remained jobless, shunned, and miserable.*

*The cult leader had his time. So did the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders who came to arrest and humiliate Jesus Christ. He told them, "...this is your hour, and the power of darkness." As these malicious zealots exuded the euphoria of their "exploit" of capturing Jesus, as if He were a robber, He queried them, "Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?" Their rude attitude was unnecessary and a mismatch with Christ's peaceful disposition. They lacked the authority and courage to accost Christ all the time He ministered in the temple and everywhere; but why now? Christ could only rationalise their behaviour and reconcile Himself to it, considering it was their time. It was a time when the power of darkness was permitted to do its worst, which would eventually redound to God's purpose - and to humanity's redemption.*

*We often witness the "triumphing of the wicked," where dubious individuals exploit the political space, misuse power, and afflict the righteous. We find people "prospering" in business by cutting corners and through corruption. People gain fame and fortune by adopting perverted lifestyles and performances. We live in a time when evil is called good, and good evil - all to the frustration of the righteous. There is even a rise in the active persecution of Christians around the world. But we should be comforted by the submission of our Lord: it is their time. Consider also that "the triumphing of the wicked is short..." (Job 20:5).*

*If you are a true follower of Christ, keep walking with Him. Do not be dismayed by the attitudes and actions of the worldly. The temporary humiliation of Christ resulted in eternal honour and our redemption. Our present frustrations will soon result in permanent favour.*

*In the mid-1800s, Kgosi Sechele I, a tribal chief of the Bakwena people in today's Botswana, held great power as a rainmaker. The people trusted him for their crops, herds, and survival. But everything changed when Sechele met Scottish missionary Dr. David Livingstone.*

*Livingstone introduced him to the message of the God, not made by human hands, not found in charms or rituals, but a God who created the heavens and the earth, just like Paul preached in Athens. But after months of learning, praying, and soul-searching, Sechele decided to follow Jesus Christ. In 1848, he was baptized.*

*It is not surprising that we find youths today, out of fear, engaging in superstitious and occult practices which put them in bondage to Satan despite available freedom in Christ. Such youths will incur God's wrath if they don't repent, renounce the occult practices and surrender to Christ.*

*True children of God must put their trust in God alone. In Christ, we are complete, and all our needs are provided if we pray with faith and believe in Him.*

*Sometimes, we may feel afraid or alone, but we can always trust that God is with us. No matter where we are or how we feel, He never leaves our side and is always ready to comfort and protect us.*

One night, James was scared of sleeping in his new room because it was so dark and quiet. His mom reminded him that God is always with Him, even when he feels alone. He prayed and asked God to help him feel safe. As he laid down, he remembered that God would never leave him no matter what. James fell asleep peacefully knowing that God was watching over him.

*God is always with us, and we can trust Him to never leave us, even when we are afraid or lonely. When we trust God, He will see us through the troubles and challenges of life. No matter what we face, we can rely on His presence to comfort us, give us strength, and guide us. MONDAY, 27TH JULY, 2026.

    *GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY OVER TIMING*

    *TEXT:* LUKE 22: 52-54.

52.Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.

*Timeless Truth:*_"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it"_ (1 Corinthians 10:13).

    *INTRODUCTION*

Do you know that God has His own time table for every event in your life? *"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven"* (Ecclesiastics 3:1). Is it possible to miss God's timing for some events in your life? Israel refused to cooperate with God and they got themselves king Saul through pressure and desire to be like other nations. Had they waited for God's timing for them before they started having kings, the tragedies they faced, as a nation, due to the reign of King Saul would have been avoided. Saul himself would not have been king. God has His own timing for the coming of the Messiah. He came. But Israel, through unbelief, missed the divine timing and were blinded from recognizing their Messiah. They will remain in that state of blindness till the Second Coming of Christ. Missing God's timing is very costly in every respect. God is never late, neither is He ever early. He works according to His perfect timetable. The arrest of Jesus Christ, though pathetic, was not a triumph of evil over good, but the fulfilment of God's eternal purpose and timing. Though wicked men thought they had taken control of events, they were only carrying out what God had already permitted within His sovereign plan. Believers must therefore, trust God's timing even when circumstances appear confusing or unfavourable, knowing that nothing happens outside His knowledge and authority.

*1. The Arrest of the Omnipotent by the Destroyers*

    a. Jesus questioned the chief priests, captains of the temple and elders, asking why they came against Him with swords and clubs as though He were a dangerous criminal. Ironically, they attempted to arrest the One who has all powers -the Omnipotent God. How could mortals use swords and staves to arrest the One who is Omnipotent and Omniscience except God Himself permitted it? Their conspiracy and arrest did not come to Jesus by surprise. Jesus knew it would happen and that the timing was then, but they were ignorant of this fact. Their hatred blinded them to His identity, yet they could not lay hands on Him until the appointed hour arrived. This reminds us that no enemy can frustrate God's purpose or act beyond His permission. Human opposition may seem powerful, but God's sovereign plan always prevails.
    b. Believers do face difficult times like trials, temptations, tempests and tough times. It is not because the enemy is so powerful, but rather God allowed it and has a reason for it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 shows that God moderates all those tough times to be within the limits of the power and grace of God deposited and available for the specific believers.
Like the popular song writer wrote: "He knows the bitter, weary way, The endless striving day by day, The souls that weep, the souls that pray; My Father knows, my Father knows".

    *Question*

Do I recognize that God is fully aware of the tough times I am passing through and it is by His permission?

*2. The Allowed Operation by the Divine*

    b. Jesus declared, *"This is your hour, and the power of darkness."* Satan and his agents were permitted to operate, but only for a limited time. God did not lose control; He simply allowed their actions to accomplish His redemptive purpose through the cross. Every trial, persecution or apparent victory of evil has a divine limit. God's permission is never His abandonment and His sovereign purpose will ultimately bring glory to His name and victory to His children.
    b. Both the problems and the promises of believers have God's own timing of fulfilment or manifestation. Jesus moved freely in the temple and in the Jewish streets for about three years and nobody could touch Him because it was not yet God's time for Him to be arrested. Ability to recognize God's plan and His timing is the surest path of peaceful and joyful living at all times. *"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come"* (Habakkuk 2:3). The same is true with the vision of the Rapture, the Second Coming of Christ etc. God is moderating all events to fit into His timing. Don't run ahead of God, ask for a revelation of His time and patiently wait for His time. *"For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry"* (Hebrews 10:37).

    *Question*

Can I patiently trust God's sovereignty when He allows temporary trials or the seeming success of evil?

    *3. The Afar-Off Disciple*

Peter's fall and denial of Jesus did not happen overnight. It started with self confidence when he did not take the warnings of Jesus about His betrayal very seriously. This self confidence affected him that he did not draw from the river of grace when Jesus asked him to join Him in prayers at the Garden of Gethsemane. He slept off throughout. He later resorted to carnality by cutting off the ear of someone in defence of Jesus. The next phase of his backsliding was when he started following Jesus "afar off". After Jesus was arrested, Peter followed "afar off." Fear and uncertainty caused him to keep a safe distance from the Lord. Times of testing often reveal the depth of our commitment. When God's timing differs from our expectations, we may be tempted to withdraw from close fellowship with Christ. However, believers are called to remain faithful and confident that God's timing is always perfect, even when we do not fully understand His ways. When you follow Jesus afar off, your Quiet Time will be mechanical, your love for fellowship will just turn into an unpleasant routine. The end result is that you prefer moving closer with unbelievers than true, genuine and fervent believers. That was the case of Peter and eventually, he fell.

    *Question*

Am I following Christ closely in difficult times, or have fear and disappointment caused me to keep my distance from Him? Are you an "afar off" disciple?

    *Prayer Points*

1.Father, help me to trust Your perfect timing and sovereign control over every situation in my life .
2.Lord, strengthen my faith to remain steadfast when You permit trials for Your greater purpose .
3.Father, deliver me from fear and help me to follow Christ closely in every season of life .
4.Lord, visit all those members following you "afar off" and bring them to the deeper love of Jesus.

    Morning Prayer for today.

    MP.i. Morning Prayer

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. ⏤ Matthew 6:10

In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. ⏤ John Bunyan

Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. May Your kingdom come. May Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. This is our prayer this morning. We want Your kingdom to come fully into our hearts so that everything in us submits to Your rule. We want You to be the King of our lives, seated on the throne of our hearts, ruling over our affections, feelings, and desires. So we pray that Your kingdom may come in our lives. May everything in us that opposes You be brought into submission. May our ways that are not right be changed to align with Your holy ways.

Sometimes we get frustrated and upset when things don't go our way, when our work is hard, or when our plans don't succeed as we hoped. Father, forgive us for our discontent and rebellion. We know You are training us and that we are in Your school all the time. We know that when we complain and get upset about our circumstances, we not only grieve You but also hinder Your work in us. Help us to humbly submit to all Your ways and learn well the lesson of submission and trust in Your sovereign plan for us. We want to be truly able to say, "May Your will be done." Give us the grace to say it every day and every hour. Help us to look up to You . . .
    when the path is rough,
    when the tasks are hard,
when it hurts us to go on—
and to say with love, "Not my will, but Yours be done."

We commit ourselves to You for the day. It may not bring us all sunshine, gladness, and ease. It may have clouds, pain, and hardship. But, Father, we want to make it a sweet, beautiful day—whether it is bright or dark. Give us much of Your Spirit, and may we live close to You all day. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

Years later, while the students he terrorised built careers, he remained jobless, shunned, and miserable.* *The cult leader had his time. It was a time when the power of darkness was permitted to do its worst, which would eventually redound to God's purpose - and to humanity's redemption.* *We often witness the "triumphing of the wicked," where dubious individuals exploit the political space, misuse power, and afflict the righteous. Consider also that "the triumphing of the wicked is short..." (Job 20:5).* *If you are a true follower of Christ, keep walking with Him. Do not be dismayed by the attitudes and actions of the worldly. The temporary humiliation of Christ resulted in eternal honour and our redemption. Our present frustrations will soon result in permanent favour.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*Believer, benchmark not with unbelievers - they're in a different race.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *EXODUS 37-38*📜📜 It Is Their Time https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 77: I HAVE DECIDED TO FOLLOW JESUS; GHS 79: THE WAY OF THE CROSS LEADS HOME; AND GHS 89: O JESUS, I HAVE PROMISED* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna27thJuly2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [26/07, 10:30 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```MONDAY 27TH JULY, 2026``` *OVERCOMING SUPERSTITION* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🧜🏽‍♂️🧞⚠️‼️🛑❌🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽 📜📜```TEXT:ACTS 17:22-31```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious" (ACTS 17:22).*_ *In the mid-1800s, Kgosi Sechele I, a tribal chief of the Bakwena people in today's Botswana, held great power as a rainmaker. The people trusted him for their crops, herds, and survival. But after months of learning, praying, and soul-searching, Sechele decided to follow Jesus Christ. In 1848, he was baptized.* *It is not surprising that we find youths today, out of fear, engaging in superstitious and occult practices which put them in bondage to Satan despite available freedom in Christ. Such youths will incur God's wrath if they don't repent, renounce the occult practices and surrender to Christ.* *True children of God must put their trust in God alone. *INTRODUCTION* Do you know that God has His own time table for every event in your life? *1. The Arrest of the Omnipotent by the Destroyers* a. *Question* Do I recognize that God is fully aware of the tough times I am passing through and it is by His permission? *2. The Allowed Operation by the Divine* b. *Question* Can I patiently trust God's sovereignty when He allows temporary trials or the seeming success of evil? *3. The Afar-Off Disciple* Peter's fall and denial of Jesus did not happen overnight. *Question* Am I following Christ closely in difficult times, or have fear and disappointment caused me to keep my distance from Him? Are you an "afar off" disciple? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, help me to trust Your perfect timing and sovereign control over every situation in my life 🙏. 2.Lord, strengthen my faith to remain steadfast when You permit trials for Your greater purpose 🙏. 3.Father, deliver me from fear and help me to follow Christ closely in every season of life 🙏. 4.Lord, visit all those members following you "afar off" and bring them to the deeper love of Jesus🙏. *HYMN:* My Father Knows. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* EXODUS 37-38. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. ⏤ Matthew 6:10 In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. ⏤ John Bunyan Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Help us to look up to You . . . when the path is rough, when the tasks are hard, when it hurts us to go on— and to say with love, "Not my will, but Yours be done." We commit ourselves to You for the day. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/22/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.

  • Isaiah warned the unrepentant people of Judah that God would exile them to Babylon because of their covenantal unfaithfulness (Isaiah 1-39). But after disciplining them, God would bring them back to the promised land and bless them (chs. 40-66). Comforting a discouraged Judah (40:1-2), Isaiah assured them that God wouldn’t abandon them and that He had the power to bless them. He reminded them that Yahweh alone, “the Holy One” (v. 25), is their everlasting, omnipotent, sovereign “Creator” (v. 28). Speaking tenderly of God as a loving and caring shepherd, Isaiah said that God “gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart” (v. 11) to bring them home. The tired, weary, and weak would find new strength (vv. 28-31) as they journeyed back to the promised land with God. In our journey of faith, God will provide strength as well. We affirm with the psalmist, “Blessed are those whose hope . . . is in the Lord their God” (Psalm 146:5).

  • Title: Understanding the Importance of Prayer
    Text: Ephesians 3:14–21

    Introduction

Prayer is one of the greatest privileges God has given to His children. Through prayer, finite and sinful people are invited to approach the infinite and holy God. Yet many believers struggle to pray consistently. Some see prayer merely as a religious duty, while others view it only as a means of presenting requests to God.

In Ephesians 3:14–21, the Apostle Paul records one of the most profound prayers found in Scripture. Here we discover not only what Paul prayed for, but also why prayer is essential in the life of every Christian.

This passage reveals three important insights into the importance of prayer.

    I. Why We Pray

    (Ephesians 3:14–15)

"For this reason I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named."

Before Paul makes his requests, he explains why he prays.

    A. We Bow Before God, the Father (v. 14)

Paul says, "I bow my knees unto the Father."

The posture of kneeling symbolizes humility, reverence, submission, and dependence upon God.

Prayer begins when we recognize who God is and who we are.

Many people approach God casually, but Paul reminds us that we come before the Sovereign Lord of the universe.

The God to whom we pray is not merely a distant ruler. He is our Father.

As believers, we have the privilege of coming before Him with confidence because we have been adopted through Jesus Christ.

    Hebrews 4:16 says:

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace."

Prayer is possible because God is our Father through Christ.

    Illustration

A child never hesitates to approach a loving father. He knows he is welcomed because he belongs to the family. Likewise, believers can approach God because they are His children.

    Truth:

When you pray, remember that you are speaking to your Heavenly Father. Approach Him with reverence, but also with confidence and trust.

    B. We Belong to God's Family (v. 15)

    Paul continues:

"Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named."

This refers to all God's redeemed people.

Believers on earth and saints already in heaven belong to one spiritual family.

Prayer reminds us that we are not spiritual orphans.

We have a heavenly Father and a spiritual family.

The Christian life was never intended to be lived in isolation.

When we pray, we participate in the family relationship God has established through Christ.

    Illustration

Families share common characteristics because they bear the same family name. Likewise, believers bear the name of Christ because they belong to God's family.

    Challenge:

Never forget your identity in Christ. You pray not as a stranger but as a child of God.

    II. What We Pray For

    (Ephesians 3:16)

"That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man."

Paul's prayer focuses on spiritual strength rather than material blessings.

    A. We Seek God's Power (v. 16a)

Paul asks God to strengthen believers according to the riches of His glory.

Notice that Paul does not pray out of God's riches but according to God's riches.

    God's resources are unlimited.

Human strength is insufficient for the Christian life.

We face temptation, trials, suffering, discouragement, and spiritual warfare.

    We need divine strength.

    Jesus said in John 15:5:

"Without me ye can do nothing."

Prayer is the means by which believers access God's strength.

    Illustration

A lamp cannot shine if it is disconnected from its power source. Likewise, Christians cannot live victoriously apart from God's power.

    Challenge:

Stop relying solely upon your own wisdom, abilities, and determination. Seek God's power daily through prayer.

    B. We Source God's Spirit (v. 16b)

Paul specifically prays that believers would be strengthened by the Holy Spirit in the inner man.

The Holy Spirit works within us to produce spiritual growth, holiness, courage, and endurance.

Real transformation does not begin externally.

    It begins internally.

The world focuses on changing behavior.

    God changes the heart.

Prayer invites the Holy Spirit to do His sanctifying work within us.

    Illustration

A tree survives storms because of its deep roots beneath the surface. Likewise, believers stand firm because the Holy Spirit strengthens them inwardly.

    Partial Application

Pray not merely for outward success. Pray for inward strength, spiritual maturity, and Christlike character.

    III. What Prayer Produces

    (Ephesians 3:17–21)

Paul now describes the blessings that flow from a life empowered by prayer.

    A. We See Greater Fellowship (v. 17)

"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith."

Paul is not referring to salvation here because these believers were already Christians.

The word "dwell" means to settle down and feel at home.

Paul prays that Christ would increasingly rule every area of their lives.

Prayer deepens our fellowship with Christ.

The more we pray, the more aware we become of His presence.

    Illustration

A close friendship grows through regular communication. In the same way, intimacy with Christ grows through prayer.

    Reflection:
If your relationship with Christ feels distant, spend more time in prayer and communion with Him.

    B. We See Greater Knowledge (vv. 18–19)

Paul prays that believers may comprehend:

"What is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ."

The love of Christ is immeasurable.

    Its breadth reaches all people.

    Its length extends throughout eternity.

Its depth reaches the lowest sinner.

Its height lifts believers to heavenly glory.

Prayer opens our hearts to understand more fully the greatness of Christ's love.

The more we know His love, the more we trust Him.

The more we trust Him, the more we obey Him.

    Illustration

Standing beside the ocean, a person can see its vastness but can never fully measure it. So it is with the love of Christ.

    Partial Application

Pray for a deeper understanding of God's love. Knowledge about God is important, but knowing His love transforms the heart.

    C. We See Greater Power (vv. 20–21)

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think."

    Paul concludes with praise.

The God who hears prayer is able to do far more than we can imagine.

    His power exceeds our expectations.

    His wisdom surpasses our understanding.

His grace overflows beyond our requests.

Prayer connects us to an omnipotent God.

    Nothing is impossible for Him.

Therefore, believers should pray with faith and confidence.

    Illustration

A child may ask his father for a glass of water, but the father may provide a full meal. Likewise, God often gives far more than we ask.

    Partial Application

Never underestimate what God can do through prayer. Bring your burdens, needs, ministries, and dreams before Him.

In conclusion, Prayer is not merely a religious exercise. It is the lifeline of the Christian life.

If we truly understand who God is, what He offers, and what prayer accomplishes, we will not see prayer as a burden but as a privilege.

May we become believers who kneel often, trust deeply, and pray fervently—knowing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

    Applications

    1. Develop a Consistent Prayer Life

Prayer should not be reserved only for emergencies or difficult seasons. Since God is our loving Father, we should cultivate a daily habit of meeting with Him in prayer.

    2. Pray for Spiritual Growth More Than Material Gain

Paul's prayer focused on inner strength, spiritual maturity, and a deeper relationship with Christ rather than earthly prosperity. While it is appropriate to bring our needs before God, our greatest concern should be becoming more like Christ.

    3. Trust God's Power Beyond Your Limitations

Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think." Many believers pray small prayers because they have a small view of God. Amen

The Holy Spirit works within us to produce spiritual growth, holiness, courage, and endurance. Real transformation does not begin externally. It begins internally. The world focuses on changing behavior. God changes the heart. Prayer invites the Holy Spirit to do His sanctifying work within us. Illustration A tree survives storms because of its deep roots beneath the surface. Likewise, believers stand firm because the Holy Spirit strengthens them inwardly. Partial Application Pray not merely for outward success. Pray for inward strength, spiritual maturity, and Christlike character. III. What Prayer Produces (Ephesians 3:17–21) Paul now describes the blessings that flow from a life empowered by prayer. A. We See Greater Fellowship (v. 17) "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith." Paul is not referring to salvation here because these believers were already Christians. The word "dwell" means to settle down and feel at home. Paul prays that Christ would increasingly rule every area of their lives. Prayer deepens our fellowship with Christ. The more we pray, the more aware we become of His presence. Illustration A close friendship grows through regular communication. In the same way, intimacy with Christ grows through prayer. Reflection: If your relationship with Christ feels distant, spend more time in prayer and communion with Him. B. We See Greater Knowledge (vv. 18–19) Paul prays that believers may comprehend: "What is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ." The love of Christ is immeasurable. Illustration Standing beside the ocean, a person can see its vastness but can never fully measure it. So it is with the love of Christ. Partial Application Pray for a deeper understanding of God's love. Knowledge about God is important, but knowing His love transforms the heart. C. We See Greater Power (vv. 20–21) "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think." Paul concludes with praise. Illustration A child may ask his father for a glass of water, but the father may provide a full meal. Likewise, God often gives far more than we ask. Partial Application Never underestimate what God can do through prayer. Applications 1. Develop a Consistent Prayer Life Prayer should not be reserved only for emergencies or difficult seasons. Since God is our loving Father, we should cultivate a daily habit of meeting with Him in prayer. 2. Pray for Spiritual Growth More Than Material Gain Paul's prayer focused on inner strength, spiritual maturity, and a deeper relationship with Christ rather than earthly prosperity. While it is appropriate to bring our needs before God, our greatest concern should be becoming more like Christ. 3. Trust God's Power Beyond Your Limitations Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think." Many believers pray small prayers because they have a small view of God. Amen

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. Psalm 112:6, 7

God has given in His Word sufficient evidence of its divine character. The great truths which concern our redemption are clearly presented. By the aid of the Holy Spirit, which is promised to all who seek it in sincerity, every man may understand these truths for himself. God has granted to men a strong foundation upon which to rest their faith.

Yet the finite minds of men are inadequate fully to comprehend the plans and purposes of the Infinite One. We can never by searching find out God. We must not attempt to lift with presumptuous hand the curtain behind which He veils His majesty. The apostle exclaims, “How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!” We can so far comprehend His dealings with us and the motives by which He is actuated that we may discern boundless love and mercy united to infinite power. Our Father in heaven orders everything in wisdom and righteousness, and we are not to be dissatisfied and distrustful, but to bow in reverent submission. He will reveal to us as much of His purposes as it is for our good to know, and beyond that we must trust the Hand that is omnipotent, the Heart that is full of love.

While God has given ample evidence for faith, He will never remove all excuse for unbelief. All who look for hooks to hang their doubts upon will find them....

Distrust of God is the natural outgrowth of the unrenewed heart, which is at enmity with Him. But faith is inspired by the Holy Spirit, and it will flourish only as it is cherished. No man can become strong in faith without a determined effort.... Only in humble reliance upon God and obedience to all His commandments can we be secure. [183]

    DEEPER REALITIES OF PRAISE

[Why You Must Sing God's Praise With Understanding]!

    LEAD SCRIPTURES

"For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding."
    — Psalm 47:7

"But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel."
    — Psalm 22:3

"And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick..."
    — 1 Chronicles 15:16

"And the Levites which were the singers... stood at the east end of the altar... and praised the LORD..."
    — 2 Chronicles 5:12-13

"So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God."
    — 2 Chronicles 5:14

    INTRODUCTION

PRAISE IS MORE THAN A SONG

One of the greatest misconceptions in Christianity is the assumption that praise is merely singing.

    Yet Scripture commands:

    "Sing ye praises with understanding."
    — Psalm 47:7

This command immediately reveals that God is not merely interested in sounds.

    He is interested in understanding.

God is not merely seeking singers.

    He is seeking enlightened worshippers.

    Jesus declared:

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
    — John 4:24

A song without understanding may entertain people.

A song with understanding can move heaven.

A song without understanding may excite emotions.

A song with understanding can release divine manifestations.

This is why the Levitical singers did not merely perform music.

    They ministered unto God.

"And the Levites... stood every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even."
    — 1 Chronicles 23:30

The difference between music and praise is understanding.

The difference between performance and ministration is understanding.

The difference between entertainment and spiritual impact is understanding.

When praise ascended from the temple under Solomon's administration, the glory of God descended so heavily that the priests could not continue ministering.

"For the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God."
    — 2 Chronicles 5:14

    The question therefore becomes:

What exactly must a believer understand before offering praise unto God?

    THE DEEPER REALITIES OF PRAISE

    1. UNDERSTANDING THE RECIPIENT OF PRAISE

"For God is the King of all the earth."
    — Psalm 47:7

Praise begins with understanding who God is.

God is not merely a helper.

    He is King.

He is not merely a provider.

    He is Sovereign.

    He is not merely powerful.

    He is Omnipotent.

"Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised."
    — Psalm 145:3

A worshipper who understands God's person praises differently.

A worshipper who understands God's authority praises differently.

A worshipper who understands God's greatness praises differently.

    (a) Understanding His Person

"Before the mountains were brought forth... even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God."
    — Psalm 90:2

    He is eternal.

    He is self-existent.

    He is uncreated.

He is God all by Himself.

    (b) Understanding His Position

"The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all."
    — Psalm 103:19

He occupies the highest throne in existence.

    Every government is beneath Him.

    Every kingdom answers to Him.

Every authority derives legitimacy from Him.

    (c) Understanding His Power and Authority

"All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."
    — Matthew 28:18

    Nothing is impossible with God.

    No circumstance intimidates Him.

    No problem overwhelms Him.

    No battle exhausts Him.

Praise rises naturally when revelation increases.

    2. UNDERSTANDING THE COMPONENTS OF PRAISE

"O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together."
    — Psalm 34:3

    Praise possesses several dimensions.

    (a) Adoration

"Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name."
    — Psalm 29:2

Adoration focuses on who God is.

    (b) Exaltation

"Exalt ye the LORD our God."
    — Psalm 99:5

Exaltation lifts God above every circumstance.

    (c) Magnification

"O magnify the LORD with me."
    — Psalm 34:3

Magnification enlarges our perception of God's greatness.

    (d) Thanksgiving

    "In every thing give thanks."
    — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

    Thanksgiving acknowledges God's goodness.

    (e) Celebration

"Let them praise his name in the dance."
    — Psalm 149:3

Celebration expresses joy in God's victories.

    Praise therefore is not one-dimensional.

It is a spiritual language with multiple expressions.

    3. UNDERSTANDING THE PRAISE SINGER OR WORSHIPPER

"Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD?"
    — Psalm 24:3

    The worshipper must understand himself.

    (a) Understanding Spiritual Qualifications

"He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart."
    — Psalm 24:4

    God values purity.

    God values sincerity.

    God values integrity.

    (b) Understanding Spiritual Calling

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood."
    — 1 Peter 2:9

Every believer possesses a priestly ministry unto God.

Praise is not merely an activity.

It is part of our priestly assignment.

    (c) Understanding Earthly Position

"Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD."
    — Psalm 150:6

    Whether king or servant.

    Whether rich or poor.

    Whether known or unknown.

Every breathing creature owes God praise.

    THE ART OF MINSTRELSY
    [A SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE]

"And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him."
    — 2 Kings 3:15

Throughout Scripture, minstrels were more than musicians.

    They were spiritual facilitators.

They created atmospheres conducive for divine manifestation.

Music in Scripture was often connected with prophecy.

It was connected with spiritual sensitivity.

It was connected with divine encounters.

"And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee... and thou shalt prophesy."
    — 1 Samuel 10:5-6

The true minstrel understands that his primary audience is God.

"Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him."
    — Psalm 105:2

    Minstrelsy is not performance.

    It is ministry.

    It is not self-promotion.

    It is God-exaltation.

    It is not entertainment.

    It is spiritual administration.

The biblical minstrel understands that every note carries responsibility.

    Every song carries influence.

    Every sound contributes to atmosphere.

When the Levites ministered in unity, God's glory filled the temple.

"Then the house was filled with a cloud."
    — 2 Chronicles 5:13

True minstrelsy therefore aims at one thing:

    Hosting God's presence.

    WISDOM NOTES

Praise without understanding produces noise; praise with understanding produces encounters.

Revelation determines the quality of worship.

Your praise can never rise above your knowledge of God.

Worshippers who understand God's greatness rarely struggle with gratitude.

The atmosphere of praise often becomes the atmosphere of miracles.

Praise shifts attention from problems to God's supremacy.

The greatest audience of every worship service is God Himself.

Minstrels are not entertainers first; they are spiritual servants first.

Wherever genuine praise ascends, divine presence often descends.

Praise is one of heaven's official languages.

    FINAL THOUGHTS

The command of Scripture is not merely to sing.

The command is to sing with understanding.

God seeks more than beautiful voices.

    He seeks enlightened hearts.

The greatest worshippers in Scripture were not necessarily the most talented.

    They were the most revealed.

    When revelation increases, praise deepens.

    When understanding grows, worship matures.

When God is seen correctly, praise becomes unavoidable.

The believer who understands God's person, God's position, God's power, the dimensions of praise, and his own priestly assignment will never struggle to worship.

For praise is not merely what we do.

Praise is our response to who God is.

    PRAYER LINES

Father, grant me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You.
    — Ephesians 1:17

Open my eyes to behold Your greatness and majesty.

Teach me to praise You with understanding.

Purify my heart and make me a true worshipper.

Let my praise become a habitation for Your presence.
    — Psalm 22:3

Raise up a generation of spiritual minstrels who will minister unto You in purity and truth.

Let Your glory fill our lives, churches, and gatherings as in the days of Solomon.
    — 2 Chronicles 5:14

    In Jesus' Name.

    Amen.
